AN: EVERYONE: There's a little flashback in this first scene about Rose's attempt of suicide. Its brief but I put it in italics so if you'll get bothered by it please don't read that part. I thought I should warn you guys just in case.

Creator of Magic: I'm not really sure what I'll do with Gil and Rose. I sometimes feel like Rose needs to be alone, but she's still a teenager so I think Gil would be the best option for at least a small crush. Like I said though, not really sure if I will have them be an official item or just have this flirty thing. Please give me your thoughts!

The reason Rose is good with love advice was because she was never loved the proper way. Ben is the only one who does love her, and its been a tricky ride with them. Like you said how her mother loved her in a twisted way, its true. That'll come out later in the story. We'll take a deeper dive into that.

Thank you for all of your compliments. Evie and Carlos will get fixed in this chapter. They just have to look at what matters in life.

Get ready for a lot of emotions.

Zahabiya: Thank you for your sympathy. Thanks for also enjoyed the kiss scene between Uma and Harry. I was hoping people didn't hate on the ship. I just thought they made a way better couple than Harry and Audrey. I will touch more on Carlos and Rose soon. Jane will come back, the beast scene isn't just over yet. Buckle up because this one will take you for a emotional ride for sure.

In the woods, Rose breathed heavily. Her magic cuffs were burning her skin. Since she pushed Carlos and Jay out of the way, she felt drained. Perhaps she had done too much. The girl's head began to pound. She tried to keep herself awake. The sound of a growl made her snap out of her tired daze. Rose turned around swiftly to see the beast was already charging towards her.

Without much time to reacted, Rose tried to evade his attack, but the beast caught her anyway. He knocked her to the ground, but she fought against it. They wrestled on the ground for a bit. Rose was desperate to stay alive. Back when she was twelve, she would have let the fate take her, but now she had come so far. She had to see Ben one last time before she would die. At least once. Rose tried to activate her beast powers, but the sting of the cuffs was too much. Her ears perked to the yells coming from the boys, but it was too late, the beast had pinned her to the ground.

Rose looked up fearfully into the eyes of her future killer. But when she saw the blue iris she gasped. "Ben?" Rose whispered. The beast roared in her face. He clenched a hand on her throat. The small poke of his claws made a shock go through Rose's body. She felt paralyzed.

The cool night air. A blue haze cast over everything in the room. Eyes were darting. Fingers ripping through her own hair. Hot tears falling down her cheeks. Breathing rapidly. Shaking down to the bones. Looking at her human hands change into a monster's. Gazing into the mirror, a young scared girl who had raised her hands over her neck. A lost princess afraid of what she had become. Closing her eyes and letting out what she thought was her last breath.

Coming out of the memory, her eyes gazed upon Ben, who seemed to have no control over himself. The beast raised his other hand, ready to strike. Rose closed her eyes, and let a tear fall down her cheek before exhaling a shaky breath. Then suddenly, she felt no more weight on her. Was this what death felt like? A release of all feeling? Her brother's eyes stayed in her head as she thought she was dying.

"Rose?" Gil's voice called. She felt a hand brush her face gently. Rose sprung up immediately. She looked around to see Carlos and Jay now wrestling with Ben. She then put her hands to her neck, she could feel five small brushes where Ben's claws had pushed on her neck. Its not like she felt neck pain like this before. This was mild compared to other injuries. "Rose?" Gil called again. "Are you alright?"

Rose snapped out of her small daze. She looked at Gil, who had a concerned face. He was kneeling beside her. She felt weak. Rose hated to feel weak. "I'm fine," Rose said coldly and got up. Gil tried to help her, but she shrugged him off. She then looked to where Carlos and Jay were cornering Ben. Swords were in their hands. "No!"

She ran over to them a quickly as she could. Once she got to them she held out her hands. Magic fire shot and their swords went flying and stuck themselves into a tree. They looked at her with confused faces. "Its Ben." Rose tried to catch her breath. She turned to Ben, who was now cowering up against a tree, holding his paw.

"Aw he has a boo boo," Gil said from behind them. "That's why he's crazy. My dad said his dad didn't handle pain well at all." Ben began to growl. Rose shot him a look, but then shrugged. It was true.

"You're good with animals," Jay said, alarmed. "Carlos, why don't you help him."

"Uh," Carlos looked scared. His face was almost as white as his hair. Rose crossed her arms, expecting someone to do something. But as always, Rose has to pick up the pieces.

"I'll do it," Rose shook her head as she neared Ben. A twig behind her snapped, only to make her realize Carlos was behind her.

"Hey Ben," Carlos said shakily, "Its me Carlos." Rose almost laughed. Ben was under a spell, he almost just killed her a minute ago. If he doesn't recognize his sister, then he definitely won't recognize Carlos.

As Carlos kept rambling, Rose made eye contact with her brother. His eyes were trained on her too. Trying to muster up the last bit of her energy, Rose lifted her fingers and began to slowly move them. Small pink flames danced along her finger tips and moved to Ben's hand. The beast didn't seem to notice until the flames pricked the thorn from his hand.

He roared, but was silenced when water hit him. Jay rushed up to give the now human ben support from his change. Rose looked to see Jane standing on top of a log spraying from a squirt gun. As she did this, Rose got a spray in the face. Rose stopped in her tracks and wiped the water from her face. She gazed to where Jane now looked terrified. She snapped her fingers and the last bit of water from the gun shot at Jane.

"Remember what Mal said," Carlos elbowed Rose. She only had a second to roll her eyes.

"What did Mal say?" Ben's voice called from another nearby log. Rose's annoyance melted as she saw her brother. He looked shocked when he set sights on her. She quickly rushed to him and hugged him before saying anything. She then sat next to him on the log. "How did you escape the sleeping spell?"

Rose clanged her wrists together. Ben immediately understood. "Your girlfriend actually gave me a little magic back."

"So you're good now?" Jane asked. She was just wiping away the water rose had shot at her.

"Yes, but there are always occasions for mischief," Rose grinned a little.

"Oh," Ben shook his head, "That was funky. Glad that's over before i did anything too drastic." Rose could feel everyone's eyes on her. She quickly wanted to change the subject.

"Well you still got a little left," Rose pointed out. Ben felt his face to find a beard and fangs. "I thought you weren't able to grow facial hair."

"Neither did I," Ben admitted. He stroked it again and grinned.

"Well its enchanted lake water," Jane shrugged, "I guess it can only do so much."

"How did you escape?" Carlos asked.

"When Audrey attacked my party I swam into the lake." Jane tried not to look at Carlos.

"I found Dude," Gil walked back to the group, "But Harry is still missing."

"He must've gone up to Evie's," Carlos assumed.

"Wait," Ben stood up, "Which side are you on?"

"We've teamed up," Jay put a hand on Ben's shoulder, "Mal has the ember and its the only way we can defeat Audrey. Details to follow."

"Hades' ember? Did Mal go back to the Isle again?" Ben looked scared.

"He said details to follow," Rose stood up. "Let's go."

"Jane?" Carlos looked at her expectantly.

"I'll come," Jane walked with them. "For the good of Auradon."

Evie sat in Carlos' room. Wearing his jacket, the blue haired princess gazed upon the ring on her palm. She thought about what Mal said. She needed clarity, but at the same time, maybe she didn't. Carlos loved her, and she loved him. That is what's important. She slipped the red ruby ring back onto her left ring finger before holding onto her heart necklace.

Back at the cottage, Mal looked at the papers in her hands. She couldn't believe Rose had convinced Audrey to turn. Mal wished she had never put any trust into her. Ben would be heart broken. She wondered if he already knew, but maybe not. If Rose was playing so innocent, she had to be sure she could fool all of them. That was always her specialty. Putting on an act.

Of course, they wouldn't have found the papers unless if Uma didn't come up with the idea to search Audrey's room. Mal looked up to see Uma and Celia sitting together eating pieces of Jane's cake. With a rush of nerves, Mal walked over to them. "That was a really good idea," she started, "To look in Audrey's room. Now we know we're on the right track."

Mal was looking down, but she could still see Uma's shocked expression as she turned around. "Is there an insult in there that I missed?" Mal looked up at here and grinned. Uma matched her expression before saying. "Loser, party of two. Remember?"

Mal thought back to that morning. The two of them sitting in Ruby's kitchen in Dandelion. They had decided on teaming up. It was the first time Mal had put trust in Uma, but she knew it couldn't have lasted long. Sure, it was nice to have an old friend back, but history tends to repeat itself. She was afraid Uma would pull something, so that's why she wanted to send her back. But now Mal was grateful the sea witch had escaped.

"Yeah," Mal finally nodded, "I guess Ruby would want it this way. Us working together." Mal hadn't given much thought to Ruby once they stopped Rose. Mal wondered if she still was living happily in her small home. Once this was over, Mal would be sure to find out.

"I'm sure she would want us to eat this cake too." Uma dished up a plate for Mal. She sat across from Uma and ate.

"I'm going to check on Harry," Celia said as she got up and went to the glass room. Mal wanted to change the subject due to Uma's blush.

"I guess I dropped the ball," Mal said before giving much thought. "About calling you shrimpy and not letting you join the gang."

"Yeah," Uma shrugged, "We really could've torn the Isle up together." She gave a small laugh, which Mal reciprocated. Then suddenly, boards were beginning to hit the windows. The lights were diminishing. The house began to shake.

Mal and Uma both stood up and held each other for balance. At first, Mal thought Rose was causing this, but then she remembered Audrey must be watching them. She was angry. "We're trapped!" Celia and Evie both came running in afraid.

Mal didn't know what to do. She stuck out her hands and thought of a spell. "You've caused my friends pain and fear. We've had enough, now disappear!" Her eyes glowed green, but nothing happened. She needed the ember. "Audrey's magic is getting stronger, my magic won't work against hers."

Uma's shell necklace began to glow. She quickly grabbed Mal's hand. They glanced at each other before reciting the spell together. Mal could feel herself get stronger. The magic flowing through her veins. Uma seemed terrified for feeling this new sense of magic. They stood in the dark for a moment before the boards fell of the windows and doors. The house had stopped shaking.

Mal sighed with relief. "You did it." Evie said in-between them. "You guys did it together. This is the teamwork I've been talking about."

Uma dropped Mal's hand and looked at her shell necklace. "I guess my shell likes you." Mal laughed. Uma pulled out the glowing blue ember. She looked at it for a second before holding it out to Mal. "Why don't you hold onto that." Mal clutched the ember in her palm. She could feel the power rising in her. She held her fist out to Uma, and she bumped it with her own fist. It was nice to be a team again, Mal had to admit that.

"Oi," Harry came walking in. He rubbed his eyes before putting his hook back on his hand. "What's a guy gotta do to get some sleep around here?" Mal looked to see Uma looked petrified.

"You were spelled," Celia explained," And then Uma-" Uma clapped a hand over her mouth.

"I tried to shake you awake," Uma lied. Her face was getting more red by the second. "But me and Mal reversed the curse on you just now. Right Mal?"

"Yep," Mal exchanged nods with Uma. Harry nodded slowly before scratching his head.

"I must've hit my head. There's a bruise formi'n." Uma was silent again. Celia struggled under Uma's grasp. She then ran to the window and looked out.

"Hey," Celia said in a sly voice, "its your bae." Mal gasped as she practically ran out the door. She smiled as she saw ben and ran to him. He picked her up as they embraced.

"Hey," Ben looked down at her, "Are you okay?"

"I'm okay now," Mal looked at him with concern. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," Ben smiled.

Evie walked out to see Mal and Ben. She smiled as she searched for him. Evie saw Carlos walking with his head down. She missed him so much. The tingling feeling in her chest returned as she felt a smile plaster across her face. Since Mal healed her leg, she ran to him. He barely looked up before she jumped into his arms. He buried his face in her hair and held her tighter to him.

When they separated, Evie leaned in and kissed him. Carlos seemed a little taken aback by it, but then kissed back. After a moment, Carlos grabbed both of Evie's hands as they gazed into each other's eyes. He ran his thumb over her finger to feel the ring was back. He looked down at it, then back up at the smiling girl of his dream. "I love you," he said. "I promise you I always will."

He lifted her hands and kissed them. Evie had tears in her eyes as she said. "I love you too. I promise that I always will." Finally, Evie had her clarity. Carlos wrapped his arms around her waist for a another hug. After a moment he lifted her up and spun around. All was well with the couple once again.

"Where did you go?" Gil asked as he saw Harry.

"I ran to protect the girls," Harry tried to recover himself.

"Ha!" Celia said folding her arms, "We found him asleep in Evie's fashion room." Gil and Jane both laughed, and Harry tried to hide his embarrassment. Uma watch from a ways off. She didn't know what do about what happened this afternoon.

"I always knew you would be part of the solution." Uma looked to see Ben. She smiled at the kind king and gave a small shrug.

"So?" Mal turned back to him, "What happened? And what is this?" Mal put her hands on Ben's face and stroked his beard. "I like this."

"Yeah?"

"I love this," Mal said, leaning into him slightly. Ben smiled to show his fangs. "Not so much on those." She laughed.

"I like them," Ben shrugged.

"It matches the rest of the family." Everyone stopped chatting. They all turned to see Rose walking up to the group. Mal's face turned stone cold. She had almost forgotten about Rose. "What?" Rose said looking around at everyone before settling her eyes on Mal.

"I think you know what," Mal backed away from Ben and crossed her arms.

"I don't but you're probably going to tell me," Rose folded her own arms.

"What's this about?" Ben put a hand on Mal's shoulder. "I thought we were working together?"

"I thought we were too," Mal's eyes stayed on Rose.

"We are." Rose didn't blink.

"Then explain these," Mal took out the papers from her pocket. Rose's face went white.

She destroyed them. She definitely destroyed them. How could they still be here? Did the spell not work? Did Fairy Godmother cut off her spell too soon? They disappeared. The pink splotches of ink were new. It was the magic that came from her last breath. Rose remembered how it floated up before splattering the papers. Rose gasped. She didn't destroy them.

"Look," Rose said calmly, "I was very angry. You didn't know what I was going through."

"Oh really?" Mal cut her off. " Because these are dated in Audrey's diary back in May. May! You went to the graduation in May!"

"I didn't want to hurt you guys after that," Rose shook her head.

"You didn't wan to hurt us?!" Mal flipped the pages over. "You only told her to take Maleficent's staff and use it on us to get the crown. You told her to face the reality."

"Face the reality, Ben. I'm too far off the deep end to save."

"Rose," Ben said quietly. She looked to her brother's face. Tears were forming in his eyes as he gazed at the papers. "Is this true?"

"I did want-"

"Is this true?!" Ben said angrily. Rose was slightly shaking. She let a tear roll down her cheek. She wished it wasn't.

"Yes," Rose said shakily. Ben then turned from her. Rose ran to him. "Ben! I wasn't thinking about you! I just wanted my revenge."

"On my family," Ben cut her off.

"I never wanted to hurt you," Rose shook her head as more tears spilled. "Ben, you have to believe me. These past couple months have changed me. I want you in my life again. I tried to destroy the papers, but my spell was cut off. I'm sorry. You never gave up on me before, what's changed now?" Ben turned to her. She was hopeful for forgiveness.

For a moment, she thought there was a glimmer of trust in his blue eyes, but then they became hard as rocks. His voice had turned cold as he said the next line.

"I faced the reality."

Rose's heart broke. Hot tears were rolling down her cheeks. Everything was over. There was nothing left to lose. Without Ben, no one loved her, and she didn't love anyone else. She felt as if she was back in that cold room on that fateful night where she tried to take her own life. The emptiness had returned.

"Oh," Audrey's voice echoed around them, "I always love watching family drama, but there's no need for it here. Let's see if you'll be able to get out of this one." Her sinister laugh echoed as pink fire surrounded the group.

Everyone looked around with horrified expressions. Mal tried to run out of the flaming circle, but it just pushed her back. Uma grabbed her hand and they tried again but it wouldn't work. Mal looked to see Ben wasn't phased, he was only looking at Rose. She stood in the middle of it all. She hadn't moved a muscle. Her watery eyes were still trained on Ben. Her wisps flowing in the wind.

"Hang on to each other!" Mal instructed as she hung onto Ben. Uma hung tightly onto Harry.

Evie and Carlos held onto each other. Other's were doing the same thing. Evie then suddenly burst into flames and disappeared. Carlos jumped back and screamed. "EVIE!" The fire circle was getting smaller and smaller, pushing the group together.

"Go back to where you belong!" Audrey's voice echoed as everything went dark. When Mal opened her eyes again, she saw the familiar grey sky covered with a golden barrier.

They were back on the Isle.
