"Right away. Your payment will be in your bank account within the next thirty minutes Doctor." The voice on the phone had to say to her. She hung up the phone to wait for her next appointment within the hour for IFF.
Meanwhile, Lee Stetson walked out of the outer office to speak with Billy Melrose in his office. When he had arrived with his secretary off somewhere doing errands for her boss.
He knocked on the door to hear his voice telling the person to come in already with slight annoyance with his tone of voice.
Billy lifted up his head after reading a report from Francine and Robert Baskins and two others sitting on his desk and Lee's vacation papers for him to sign.
"Please sit Lee. I want you to sign the paperwork that will put you on an extended vacation for some time with all payments involved owed to you, Lee. And I don't care either way where and when?" he said with sarcasm in his demeanor.
"And if I don't sign the papers Billy?" he was nice and directed with the question. "Along with needing to get yourself cleaned from those drugs. Did you look yourself in the mirror your eyes all glassy-eyed for god sake Lee?"
"I was feeling fine when I was driving here to IFF. However all of the sudden I feel slightly out of it. The only thing I had had Billy was a bottle of water." Lee said...
"Go the lab no wand tell Doctor Swanson to check you out for any poisoning of late," Billy ordered as Lee feeling dejected walked out to head for the lab on the four-level. He was right that he only had water from when he was with Doctor Sarah Goodman.
When he walked into the lab with three others working. Doctor Swanson sitting at his desk with the computer terminal. He had been working on four other cases having other evidence from agents and including Francine Desmond.
He raised his head to see his friend Lee Stetson looking like a real mess. "What's going on Lee beside the rumor mill about you fucking up on the undercover operation in Syria?"
"I don't wish to say anything about until I have a clearer head. Billy wants you to check me for any additional drug poisoning into my bloodstream?" he ordered with following his friend of 15 years for IFF as the boss in charge of the department.
Taking the four tubes of blood from his left arm relaxing in the alcove. Doctor Swanson wanted Lee to lay down onto the cot to sleep until he was able to have the results. He went into another section of the lab in order to process the blood.
Lee taking off his jacket using it as a pillow. He was exhausted for the most part as he closed his eyes into a Rapid Eye Movement ...
He had found himself with his wife Amanda have decided to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary in Paris while leaving Lee Junior home with Dottie for three days.
They were laying on the beach with the temperatures in the high eighties even though the humidity wasn't as bad.
He had his head laying on his wife's lap while she was rubbing his temples. "You keep that up Amanda, you're going to know what's going to happen?" he sneered with his response.
"What if I told you I want to very badly Lee. I am tired of all of the hours we have been working at IFF and neglecting our son Lee Jr. as well." she cried out as he had gotten up to place her onto her back in order to climb his wife's body.
The kissing between the both of them was intense as the magic between the both of them.
Lee woke quickly feeling like the dream felt so real. He loved Amanda a great deal. But for her to act this way is beyond his comprehension?
He tried to sleep. However, Doctor Swanson had come into the alcove with the results. "What did you find Doc?"
"You've been drugged with some type of mind-altering serum that was placed inside the water bottle that was given to you no doubt by Doctor Sarah Goodman. We had been suspecting that she was approached by Syria to help them. IFF traced a phone call she made earlier to a location in Fairfax, Virginia."
"Is Billy going to arrest her at all?" Lee asks with rubbing his head with his shaky hands.
"No. We need to be sure before they throw her to the gallows. But in the meantime, I am going to give you something to counteract the drug in your system. I suggest you buy something from the stores before going to your motel or where ever you're going to be staying?" he said with taking out the syringe filled with the antigen inside the tube.
Pulling up his sleeve. He injected the fluid into his bloodstream giving him the entire tube.
"How long before it takes effect Doc?" Lee needed to know the answer.
"One hour Lee. So I suggest you get something to eat, drink and then sleep since you're exhausted from the flight?" Doc Swanson says to his friend with touching his right shoulder for emotional support.
"Thank you for helping me like this Jack?" Lee responded with emotion.
"It's too bad that Amanda had signed those divorce papers and it's official from my understanding?" he exclaimed with his words.
"I need to try and talk with her before everything goes bad between the both of us. I was the one to have gotten her involved with IFF in the first place. Even though it took Billy a few years to see that she was a seasoned veteran having trained herself to be one with working hard to prove to me and IFF that she was able to show me as well."
"Look I know that Amanda still loves you in spite of what had happened to you in Syria and with the Undercover operation." Doctor Jack Swanson had to say.
