Rays of hope

Chapter 19th

Getting onto the International flight. Robert had walked past Lee Stetson in the aisle of the flight filled. Since everyone was allowed on board showing their cards that they were vaccinated as with Robert and Lee.

Lee had closed his eyes not bothering to see who is on board the plane. He was too emotionally tired from the entire affair.

Robert sat down in his seat next to a woman that was sitting next to the window that suits his find with needing to stretch his legs. The woman had to be in her fifties with salt & pepper hair. She was working on her laptop before the flight was going to be taking off.

Meanwhile, there were two others on board in order to be following Lee Stetson aka Doctor Emerson on whether he will be willing to work with the Syrian rebels again. They will be needing to wait until they land in Syria in order to contact him on the ground.

And if they aren't able to convince him. There orders to be rid of him with knowing just too much.

Ten minutes later the pilot of the international flight with a German accent alerted the passengers to be ready for take-off along with their seatbelts.

Lee had heard the intercom message with tightening his seatbelt while the plane was on the runway and the feel of the pull of the plane before taking off. Afterward, he finally fell asleep for the long trip.

Meanwhile, Robert needed to get up to head for the bathroom passing Lee having to be asleep.

This went on for almost eight hours before they were going to land in Hawaii for a brief stop with the passengers able to get off with food available in the commissary until the flight was being refueled by the maintenance teams at the airport and military for the Air Force.

Robert had sat down at a table when he had noticed Lee sitting down at a table filled with all types of foods from the trays. Otherwise, Robert had sent a text message to his wife Francine no doubt asleep with the time difference. He didn't know how long it was going to take for the flight to be refueled making this a long trip altogether.

BACK IN THE STATES

IFF

Billy Melrose was livid after receiving a report from his sources had been on board the Syria flight. They were able to tell him that IFF agent Lee Stetson and another agent working freelance undercover was abroad to keep an eye out on Lee. It was Lt. Robert Baskins married to Francine. No doubt was willing to come along as well. Except for the fact that he was going to get himself killed as with Lee.

Billy knew this was a mistake that Lee left the states to find out who was trying to screw up his life. They had gotten together before all of this started at a secret hideout discussing the options with the president of the united states just might be a part of the operation.

"I just can't believe it Lee that my friend the President will be behind the Syria troop buildup?" Billy said to Lee weeks before finding the deep cover operation. "You do realize Lee that you're taking a huge gambit with ruining your marriage with Amanda."

"I will take that chance, Billy. I just hope to god at the end of this deep undercover I will be able to work things out with Amanda?" he cried out.

"I don't wish to see the both of you miserable. Listen I need to leave and get back to IFF. Good luck!" Billy walked out with Lee being approached two weeks later by the President. Though he wasn't able to turn it down.

Now all of this time he was on a flight going back to Syria to fine those involved with ruining his life and including Billy's friend.

Getting up to go to the bathroom. He had a feeling that Amanda might have sent friends to keep an eye out on him. And right now Lt. Robert Baskins was doing a poor job with his disguise.

Passing him with heading for the bathroom on the second flight to Syria. Everyone was thrilled after eating at the military airbase before taking off once again with a different pilot and co-pilot and others working up close and personal.

At one point when he headed back to his seat. He was remembering his wife on how hard she worked to become an agent. Even though some had thought over time that she was able to prove herself to Billy, Francine, and himself.

He wasn't the type of man to fall in love with a woman like Amanda divorced with two grown boys now. But once he was able to get past his insecurities. He was a man in love and needed to try and protect Amanda.

But here he is now on who is going to protect him with Amanda back in the states to have a second child by him. He didn't know whether Lt. Baskins was able to help him with finding those behind the plot. Especially to have bribed Doctor Sarah Goodman.

UNITED STATES

Doctor Sarah Goodman once again was asked to do another favor for the Syrian rebels. She was told to speak with Billy Melrose telling him a story about another agent having to be in trouble. Even though she didn't know that IFF knew that she was working with the Syrians and this is when Billy with the evidence to arrest her and bring the traitor into the interrogation room without any recording devices.

Escorting her into the room by one of the agents while Billy was on his way down to speak with the traitor. He needed to be sure of his facts.

Walking into interrogation room number three. He told the officer to take off her cuffs for now and to be waiting outside.

After a moment. She said to him what was going on.

"We know that you poisoned Lee Stetson's water after being ordered to do so. What we need to know Doctor Goodman on whether or not you can tell us who is behind this entire operation?" he said with his hands folded sitting in front of her with the file sitting on the table.

"And if I talk will I be protected with a deal before these people find out that I have spoken to you?" she was scared as hell right now.
