Rays of hope
Chapter 24th
Lee Stetson resting in his alcove had Doctor Ism Huri come to see him talk with being one of three therapists on the military base. Lee was sitting up reading a book that one of the nurses had brought to him to read.
There was a knock on his door when he looked up to see the short woman in her forties with a redhead carrying her briefcase. "I am Doctor Ism Huri's base therapist. I understand you asked to speak with someone about your recent troubles?" she said to him.
"Yeah I do Doctor with trying to understand my situation," he said with trying to sit up as she helped him a little to get into a better position with his right leg.
"Is that better Mr. Stetson?" While she pulled up a chair while opening up the brief briefcase to take out her case files and notepad.
"Much better thank you for helping," he said with a smile finally.
"Okay let's get started since we have lots to discuss," she says. "Tell me Mr. Stetson how long have you worked for IFF?"
"20 years and all of it under Billy Melrose. I have done a number of crazy things during those 20 years and this was the first time I was forced into a situation that had turned deadly to have me lose two months of my life and my separation from my wife and son. Even though all of it was under a false pretense in order to find out the truth on who was behind the Syrian rebels being supplied weapons, drugs, and Intel."
"I understand that all of the culprits have been arrested and the fact that your President of the United States has been placed on house arrest for his crimes of high treason and other charges once the Impeachment trial begins?" she replied with sadness in her tone of voice and small demeanor.
"Yeah, and all at my expense for the most part," he says with shifting on the bed.
"I don't understand Agent Stetson?" she will ask with the question writing a note onto the yellow pad.
"In order to work the deep undercover operation I had to leave my wife and son Lee Jr. having everyone think that she was going to divorced me and not wanting me to see my son." he takes a deep breath. "Now that it's over. My wife Amanda is flying here to Hawaii to stay with me until I am ready to leave, while Lee Jr. will be watched by her mother Dottie," he responded.
"Do you think she will be able to forgive you for even going along with the operation in the first place?" And for which is a good question to answer.
"I really don't know at this point after losing so much of myself on this deep cover operation," he said with his demeanor in sadness.
"Well, all I can say Mr. Stetson is to take each day as it comes. The both of you will be needing to be spending time together here in Hawaii a great place to have a second honeymoon?" she made the suggestion to him thinking about it with a smile. "What do you think?"
"I like it once the doctors release me from here. But I really don't know on whether Amanda's mother will go for it?"
"Maybe you can always spend your honeymoon at home in order to not let your son lose out on seeing and spending time with his father? I have always found that families need to be together as much as possible. That's if they are willing to talk to one another?" she will have to say on the subject.
"I will talk with Amanda about either way Doctor. She should be here within the next few hours I hope. I miss my wife a great deal as with my son. Amanda is carrying our second child as we speak and is in her fifth plus month." he smiled with a hint of a smirk on his face. "Doc are you married?" he had to ask with the woman having to be at least five feet two inches.
"Actually I am for almost 18 years. My husband Colonel Shali Huri runs the base for the last ten years and is thinking of retiring in a few years. We have one son age 18 and a girl 16 years old both are in boarding school in the states." she said with pride in her tone.
"Thanks, doc. I feel better about asking the question. I hope to god Doc that Amanda and I can be happy again in every aspect of our marriage."
"When you say every aspect of your marriage in what area are we talking about?" she blushed slightly.
Lee coughs for a moment feeling the heat of the question in every aspect. Let's start with communications for which is the best for any marriage. Afterward, it comes to love and sex and then intimacy that is very important for the both of us." he choked on the words.
"In your judgment what's important to you?" as she watched him squirm for the moment.
"Sex. I love to have sex with my wife in every sense of the subject and she is willing to always please me in bed or any other type of furniture." he blushed himself thinking about the different positions with a woman that is pregnant."
"And now that your wife is pregnant with her hormones only to enhance it further greatly. Believe me, I know!" she said with making another note onto the pad quickly.
"Look I love my wife a great deal. And these past two months really killed me to be away from her and my son that I love as well. When I get her in my arms I am finally going to promise her that I won't be taking on any longer those deep undercover operations and just stay home for a change. I am going to turn a new laef for the rest of my life." he said to have the doctor smiling with joy.
