A/N: Okay since it's Halloween time I decided to do a Halloween special two-parter for Legendary Mystical Power Rangers.

Chapter four: The Grotesque Glob part one:

Melody smiled as she hung the paper Jack-o-lantern up on the door to their dorm room, "So what are you going to dress up for as Halloween?" she asked, turning to her roommate who was sprawled out on her bed working on homework.

"Halloween is for little kids," Sara snorted, "Besides what's the point."

Melody bit her tongue to keep herself from saying something that might offend Sara, it wasn't her fault that Sara didn't find joy in the simple things, "It's fun and the school's having a Halloween Party with a costume contest."

"I still see it as silly," Sara insisted.

"Rangers there have been Dark Knights spotted on the quad," The voice of their English Teacher filtered through the communicator on Sara's wrist.

Sara groaned, dropping the pencil in her hand as she rolled off her bed, "Time to save the day, again," she muttered, crossing the room to Melody's desk and moving the large horse poster to the side, revealing yet another secret passageway to the Encampment,

Sara rushed down the passageway feeling as her school uniform changed into a pink tunic and gray leggings, she didn't pause long enough to look around the encampment, but she did notice a few jack-o-lanterns around the edge as she swung up on her robotic horse, Who decorated the Encampment? She thought to herself as she rode down yet another passage that would open up in the center of the quad, pulling the hood of her tunic up over her red hair, and dragging a scarf over the bottom half of her face. Up ahead the opening appeared, allowing her to gallop up into the center of the quad.

To say that there was a mass panic would have been an understatement, two months into the school year, and a monster attack at least once a week you would think that the students would have been used to seeing monsters popping up at random.

Sara rolled her doe colored eyes, honestly, she grumped to herself, why couldn't they all have run inside when the attack had started, or froze in fear, this running around like chickens with their heads chopped off was making it harder for her to aim. Anyone else might have even said that it would have been impossible to aim. But Sara Hart was not an ordinary human she was after all the pink ranger.

She pulled her bow out, aimed, and shot a Dark Knight in the chest,

"Head inside, Now!" a voice barked as the Red knight rode up beside her, his long sword drawn.

The Pink and Red rangers nodded in acknowledgment as the Blue ranger thundered past on her horse, plowing down any Dark Knights that got in her way. On the other side of the Quad, the Black and Green Rangers wielded their blunt objects against the Dark Knights denting their armor.

Just as soon as the battle had started it was over with the Dark Knights fleeing back to their dark encampment.

"Man this power ranger thing is getting way too easy," JT announced, swinging his legs up to rest on top of the table, "They see us coming and they run."

"Don't you think that maybe it was a little too easy of a win," Frank asked, ducking his head down when JT snorted.

"If you ask me, Mordred and Morgana are trying to lure us into a sense of security," Sara announced plopping down in her seat, "As soon as we let our guard down, Bam!" her fist made contact with the table, "we get walloped by a monster."

"Or maybe we're just really good at what we do," Melody insisted, "Come on Sara, be a little positive why don't you?"

"I don't know," Frank said twisting the hem of his tunic in his hands, "The legend of King Arthur is Celtic and the traditions that lead up to the creation of Halloween are Celtic as well. They believed that on Halloween Night, Monsters and demons appear and you had to dress up as monsters and give them candy to appease them. What if Morgana is just waiting for Halloween to strike?"

"There's a difference between Myths and Legends," Mason insisted, patting Frank on the back, "Myths, like Halloween, are completely made up while Legends, like the knights of the round table, are based on a true story that has had so much other stuff added to it that you can't tell what is true and what isn't."

"Monsters are real though," Frank pointed out, "How can we be sure that they don't come out to haunt on Halloween?"

"As much as I would love to see how this debate ends," Mason spoke up, "Dinner's about to start in the Cafeteria."

Halloween was approaching, Mordred could fill it in his veins, as soon as the moon rises on All Hallow Eve's night, he would be ready, and the Holy Grail shall be his and his mistress shall rise once more like the powerful sorceress she once was.

"Once night falls on All Hallow Eve," He crackled, "I'll send a monster out, one that will be able to use the magic of the night to its advantage. I'll send the Grotesque Glob. Their pathetic power weapons would just make him bigger, the moon will magnify his powers tenfold and nothing would be able to harm in until the next day, by which time the power rangers would be pathetically exhausted to the point that they wouldn't be able to stop him from finding the Holy Grail."

Something heavy landing on Sara the next morning woke her up, "What time is it," she groaned, rolling over to glare at Melody.

"Seven-thirty," came her chipper roommates response, "Time to get up."

"There's no school today," Sara grunted, pulling her blanket up over her head.

"That's true," Melody said, tugging the blanket back off, "but breakfast is at Eight."

"Eight to Nine," Sara grumbled, yanking the blanket back up.

"But there's going to be a line if we get there late and have to wait in line..."

"Can't this wait until eight?" Sara demanded.

"Not really," Melody insisted, grabbing Sara's arms and dragging her out of bed, "You see I factored in the time it will take to get ready for the day. I've been up since six-thirty."

Sara glanced at her roommate, her bushy brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she was wearing an old fashioned plaid shirt with suspenders, "What are you even wearing?"

"It's Halloween," Melody explained, puffing her chest out, "Do you like my costume, it's not complete, but I'm going as a cowgirl, what are you going as?"

Sara slowly sat up tossing a braid over her shoulder, "I've already told you that I'm not dressing up, Halloween is for little kids."

Melody grabbed hold of the blanket and yanked it off her roommate, earning a glare, "Come on, you are such a spoilsport, let's go."

Sara grimaced as Melody grabbed her hand and pulled her out of bed, "You have to dress up," Melody insisted, "Even my older brother still dresses up and he's old enough to be my father."

"Yes, but you said yourself that your older brother is a little on the crazy side," Sara grumbled as Melody threw open her closet and started to ramage through her clothes.

"I'm sure that you have something in here that you can wear," Melody explained, before pulling something out and holding it up, "How about this?" she asked.

"A princess dress?" Sara asked, tilting her head to one side, "We've been sharing a room for Two Months and you honestly think I'll wear a Princess Dress?"

"Then why is it in your closet?" Melody demanded.

"Because my Grandfather had Dementia and kept forgetting that I wasn't my mother! Coming to school has been the best thing that happened to me, finally, for the first time in my life, I can be me and not my mom," Sara sighed, dropping back on her bed, "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell, I just, every year Grandpa forced me to dress up as a princess, no matter how hard I tried to convince him that I didn't like dresses and princesses and the color pink."

"But you wear pink all the time," Melody protested, "you wear a pink tie with your uniform every day."

"I know, ever since I became the Pink Power Ranger I feel naked almost if I'm not wearing pink, and do you have any idea on how hard it is to find a shade of pink that doesn't clash with my hair."

Melody shook her head, "Well, you need to find something to wear, it just isn't Halloween without wearing a Costume."

Sara opened her mouth when her communicator went off, "There's a monster in the cafeteria!" Frank's voice filtered through the device, obviously scared.

"It better not is J.T. in another mask," Sara grumbled, grabbing her morpher, "Guess I'm going as the pink power ranger."

…Five Minutes earlier...

Frank couldn't believe that JT had woke him up and dragged him to the cafeteria before breakfast was scheduled to even begin. What was he hoping to get a head start on anyway, the bus that the school had hired to take them to haunted houses and corn mazes wouldn't arrive until ten.

"Come on JT the food isn't even out yet," he grumbled, as he glanced at a large spider that was staring at him from the wall, the teachers sure had fun decorating the school for Halloween.

JT pulled the double doors to the cafeteria open before smirking at his roommate, "want to bet on that? He asked, "they do have food out, see?"

Frank glanced at the counter was a giant thing of green jello shook slightly, he had never seen jello that glowed like that before, and it seemed to be vibrating on its own as if it was alive, "we aren't under ten or over seventy so why are they serving us jello?"

"It's monster slime," JT insisted, "You know Halloween themed food, it's fun." With that, he grabbed a plate and a big spoon.

Frank snatched the spoon from his friend's hand, "I don't think the monster slime is edible," he insisted, as the Jello shifted on its own.

"Come on Frank stop being such a scaredy-cat."

Frank took a deep breath and immediately gagged as the foulest stench reached his nostrils, "J.T. I don't think anything that smells that bad can be edible, how can you not smell it."

"That's odd," J.T. insisted, dropping the spoon to plug his nose as well, "It didn't smell bad until a second ago."

By now there was no denying as the green jello stretched and moved as first a head appeared, and then two arms followed by the rest of the monster, "That… that really is Monster slime..." Frank stammered pulling his communicator to his mouth, "There's a monster in the cafeteria!" he cried out, "J.T. We need to morph," he insisted.

"Umph!" was the only response that he got. He quickly whirled around, eyes wide as he saw the black ranger, pinned to the wall by some of the green slime that the monster was covered with.

"Don't worry J.T. the others are on their way," Frank said, as he grabbed hold of JT and pulled, "Guh, this stuff is sticky," he exclaimed, yanking as hard as he could, "Now I'm stuck too."

Several bolts of energy flew across the large room slamming into the monster glob.

"All right Sara!" Frank called out as the monster squirmed and seemed to scream in pain, that had done the… or not, he thought as the monster suddenly grew to twice its size.

"Let's stop feeding it energy," Mason called out, obviously that wasn't going to work they would have to figure out a different way to defeat this monster.

"I've got this," Melody announced, jumping into the air with her Javelin raised high before anyone could stop her. The Javelin struck the monster straight on and kept going.

"Melody!" Frank called out, doubling his efforts to pull himself free of the monster goop as Melody disappeared into the monster.
