"The Civil Conservation Corps and Works Progress Administration were programs created by what president?" Sara read out loud, before glancing around at the others at the table.

"Blah, blah, blah," J.T. groaned, "Why do we need to know this stuff."

"Mid-terms start tomorrow," Mason pointed out, "And I don't know about you, but I need to get a good grade on it."

Just then Frank's watched beep loudly, causing him to look up, "Looks like this study session has to break up for now,"

Mark eagerly looked up, "Do you think I could..."

"No," Frank snapped.

"We wish you could," Sara added, "But only Power Rangers are allowed in the Encampment, that's just the way that the enchantment works."

"It will be best if you stay here," Mason added, "The fewer students underfoot the better."

Mark frowned as his friends rushed over to a random picture on the wall and swung it ninety degrees, revealing a gaping hole bigger than the picture. One by one they filed into the tunnel before the picture swung shut once more, sealing the tunnel. He sighed, no wonder those five didn't have many friends outside of their group, it would have been impossible to keep explaining their many disappearances. That was the main reason that he had found out anyway, but now he almost wished he hadn't, because now he knew exactly what was going on and he wished that he could do something more.

"What's going on this time, Ms. Johnson?" Frank asked as he took his seat at the round table.

"Is there some way that this might postpone mid-terms?" J.T. asked as he kicked back his chair to put his feet on the table, "Because, I'm totally okay with that."

The others laughed as their mentor shook her head, "I doubt this will postpone mid-terms," she confessed, "A monster has been spotted over by the paddocks, You will have to investigate."

"I wish it could postpone the midterms, this is cutting into our study time."

Everyone turned to the green ranger, who shrugged, "Well it's true, our first test is at ten tomorrow morning."

"You know, talking about the monster and mid-terms is cutting into our study time as well, Mason." the pink ranger pointed out, throwing her arm around the green ranger, "Besides what do you have to worry about, you're at the top of our class," with that she reached up, and started ruffling his hair, "You genius you."

"Sara, get off," Mason said, "We need to find that monster, not harass me."

"Then what are you waiting for?" Sara asked, pulling the hood of her tunic up over her hair, before pulling the bottom of the hood up to cover her mouth and nose, leaving only her eyes visible.

Melody looked around, the seemingly endless fields of fenced-off areas, trying to find any clues as to what the monster had been up to, when something caught her eyes, "Hey, guys, take a look at this!"

The other rangers rushed over as Melody leaned over one of the gates.

"What's up?" Frank asked.

"Look at this," Melody insisted, pointing to a patch of red-brown on the gate.

"It's rust," Mason announced.

"So?" J.T. asked.

"So?" Mason repeated, "This is stainless steel, it doesn't rust."

"Well, apparently it does."

"The monster must have done this," Sara said, "Which explains the rusty fence I stumbled across, I didn't think much about it because it wasn't on school property, It's our neighbor's fence."

"If a monster can rust Stainless Steel," Frank asked, "Can they damage our weapons?"

"Let's try not to find out," Melody suggested as she stepped back from the fence, "We better find this monster before it does serious damage."

...Inside the Study Hall…

Mark glanced at his notes and the study guide that he was filling out, "Hey Mark," a voice called out from across the room, "Did that Loser roommate of yours and his friends abandon you."

"They just had to go..." Mark trailed off, he had promised Mason and his friends that he wouldn't tell anyone about their secret identities, "get some fresh air," he continued, "You know, take a walk, stretch, take a break from the books." Mark started to gather up books and notebooks, shoving them into different book bags, the others would have to sort them out later, "In fact, I think I'm going to go join them."

Mark tossed the backpacks into the lost and found in the corner, before rushing outside to avoid being interrogated.

After a quick look around he slipped into the woods.

The monster was right in front of them, tall, at least eight feet tall, and rust-colored all over, like a metal statue that had rusted and came to life, rusting the hinges of the stalls in the stable as all of the horses whinnied and snorted as they tried their best to stay away from it.

"Yeah you," J.T. shouted, "Don't you have anything better to do than destroy school property."

The monster turned towards the black ranger with a strange look in his eyes, as he raised a rusty sword into the air. There was a large creaking noise as a large metal bracket attached to a ceiling beam above them rusted."

"That's probably what causes the magical rust," Mason announced, "Be careful, if he rusts through our shields, we lose the power to morph."

"You couldn't have warned us about that earlier?" Sara asked, pulling her shield out from the invisible air pocket it was kept in, "Just saying," she continued, whacking her shield with her bow, morphing out of her tunic and leggings and into her power ranger uniform.

"Does it really matter if we were warned or not?" Melody asked, morphing as well, "We still have to fight it, just be careful, it can destroy our cavalry and zords as well."

There was a loud popping noise as several dark knights appeared out of nowhere, some of them were even mounted upon their own horse-like creature.

"Since when do they have cavalry?" Frank demanded.

"Does it matter?" Melody asked, "I can take them down," she insisted, "I need Calvary."

Almost immediately a blue robotic horse appeared through a secret passageway, galloping at full speed, not even slowing down as Melody grabbed hold of the reins and pulled herself up onto its back, "Now let's see what it takes to get those knights off those horses."

… The Enchanted Forest with Mark…

Mark wasn't sure exactly where he was going, but he felt as if there was a string pulling at him, guiding him deeper into the forest. He really shouldn't go this deep into a forest known to be crawling with monsters, but his feet wouldn't listen to his orders to turn around, walking deeper and deeper into the forest.

Soon the trees broke revealing a clearing with a single tree stump in the middle of it. Stuck in the stump was the remains of an ax that seemed to glow white in the sunlight.

"What the..." Mark started, heading towards the stump, wading through knee-high grass until something hard made contact with his foot, sending him to the ground. He quickly rose to his hands and knees and parted the grass, there in the grass was an old shield, so rusted as to be almost unrecognizable.

Mark lifted the shield up with a frown, looking around, what was a shield like this doing in the forest, if they were in Europe he would have thought he had stumbled across an old battlefield that had been so far undisturbed, but this was America, no one in America used metal shields, at least none that he could think of.

There was something on the shield some sort of picture. Mark squinted down at it, trying to make it out, there had to be something he could do.

There was a slight trickling sound of running water, a stream must cut through this meadow. If he could somehow wash some of the dirt off the rusty shield he could see what was on the shield.

It didn't take long for him to locate the stream or for him to stick the rusty shield into the stream. The whole shield burst into a bright white light, before turning into a bright white shield with a picture of an ax on it, an ax just like the one stuck in the stump.

Mark stood up, "I wonder, the rangers have a shield and weapon as part of their powers," he muttered, racing over to the stump and grabbing the ax by the handle, pulling as hard as he could. With a burst of white light, the ax pulled free.

Mark quickly walked back to the stream, sticking the ax into the water. Both the shield and the ax started to glow.

Melody stared in disbelief at her robotic horse, or more specifically what was left of it. "What do we do now?" she asked, "My Calvary is completely destroyed."

"Your Calvary?" Sara called out, "Look at my bow, it's rusted clear through. I can't use it anymore."

"Your bow," Frank called out, "My shield, one more hit, and I'm done for."

"We need to regroup," Mason called out, "Head to the Encampment."

… The Encampment…

"Um," J.T. called out as he entered the encampment, "Since when were there seven chairs?"

"And what's up with the new tent?" Sara asked.

"It appears as if the white knight has returned," a new voice called out as Ms. Johnson entered the Encampment, "and perhaps he will have the answer to our problem."

"What do you mean?" Frank asked.

"The White Knight was defeated, centuries ago by a rust monster much like the one we are fighting right now, if somehow he has returned, or someone else has gained the power of the White Knight, they might know..."

"How to restore our weapons, shields, and zords." Mason interrupted.

Just then a loud siren started to sound, "The Iron Blight is back," Ms. Johnson announced, glancing at the others, "And Taller now."

"They're trying to draw out our zords," Frank gasped, "if we go after them, we'll lose everything."

"But we have a new ranger, who knows something about how to defeat this monster."

"But, Sara we don't know who this new ranger is? What if this ranger is working for Morgana?"

"The new ranger would not have been able to find the lost shield of the White Knight if he had an evil heart," Ms. Johnson stated, "You do what you can about that monster, I'll find the white ranger and figure out what he knows about how to defeat it."

"Right," Frank said, standing up, "Please hurry with finding the new ranger."

Ms. Johnson glanced at the color wheel in her hand, according to it, the white ranger was straight ahead of her. Just beyond these trees. She slowly peered through the branches and found the one thing that she wasn't expecting, Mark was standing in the middle of the clearing, dressed in a white tunic, staring at a shield and ax that he held in his hands.

"How did you do that?" Ms. Johnson asked, stepping into the clearing, "restore the power of the white knight?"

"The stream," Mark stated, pointing towards the running water, "washed the rust away just by touching the shield to the water."

Ms. Johnson crouched down next to the stream, "This stream is enchanted, if we can just get this water to the others, it will restore their weapons, shields, zords, and calvary back to normal, as well as defeat the Iron Blight, but how do we carry it?"

"How about water guns?" Mark suggested, "They're plastic so they won't rust, and they'll give us something to spray with, plus I believe that there are a whole bunch at the school pool."

"I can't get this arm to move," J.T. cried out, yanking on his controls.

The whole Megazord shuddered as the Iron Blight landed yet another blow.

"Where's Ms. Johnson with the white ranger," Mason cried out.

"We can't handle another blow like that," Frank added.

"How do we even know that this White Ranger will know how to defeat the rust."

"We just have to hope that he does, Sara."

"Brace yourself," J.T. called out as the monster brought its sword down on them, only to stop inches away from the zord as it hollered in pain.

"Look," Melody exclaimed, "It's Ms. Johnson and the white ranger."

"Hey," a new voice called out through their helmet speakers, "I know I'm new to this, but do you think you can leave the zord and help us soak down the Iron Blight?"

"Mark?" Mason questioned.

"The one and only."

The five rangers quickly abandoned their damaged zords, landing next to the white and purple rangers, who simply handed them a super soaker, "Careful that you don't waste any of the water," Ms. Johnson stated, "The Enchanted Stream probably has changed course by now and we won't be able to find it again."

"On the count of three," Frank called out, lifting up one of his super soakers, "One… Two… Three… fire."

Seven streams of water flew into the air, hitting the monster who screamed and withered in pain.

"It's weakening," Mason called out, "We need someone to deal the final blow but my Bludgeon's all rusty."

"Mark," Frank called out, "It's up to you and Ms. Johnson."

Mark nodded, pulling out his ax as Ms. Johnson pulled out her glaive, before jumping up in unison, and striking the monster right where the water was hitting it.

J.T. watched as the monster burst into flames, "Well that was a great break, but I think we better hit the books, midterms do start tomorrow."

Everybody turned to look at him, "Who are you and what have you done with our friend," Sara demanded.

"Well, while we were fighting the Iron Blight I got a text message from my dad, if I get a good grade on my midterms he'll get me a special surprise." J.T. explained jumping up and down, "And my Uncle Zack is in on it so it has to be great."
