Frank glanced at his friend's uncle who was at the moment being pinned to the wall by his own uncle, "Tommy you have to calm down before you do something that you will regret."
"Let me go," Tommy snarled fighting against Jason, which didn't work as Rocky added his own muscle to pinning him down as well.
"No," Rocky stated, "At least not until your eyes return to normal," Rocky shook his head, "Honestly Tommy you need to learn to control your temper better."
"I control my temper just find," Tommy growled, "It's not my fault that my eyes tend to twitch when I'm upset."
Melody flicked a strand of brown hair out of her face, "I'm going to go see if I can't find J.T." she announced, "This is just getting awkward."
Mason glanced as his friends left and then at his uncle who was still struggling against the combined weight of Jason and Rocky, "I'm confused," he admitted, "Ms. Johnson said that you were black on your most recent team, but you said you didn't have a black ranger?"
Tommy's face drained of color, as he immediately stopped struggling, "We don't have any repeat colors," he muttered, "This means we're going to team up. For once in my life, I want to go somewhere and not get involved with power rangers."
Jason and the others looked at each other, as Rocky punched the air and declared that it was awesome.
"Now, come on you're just overreacting," Aisha insisted, "You can't possibly know that we'll end up teaming up, Rocky and I do a lot of stuff with Adam, and we've never had to team up to save the day."
"Yes," Rocky added, "But you have to remember that we aren't Tommy, the morphing grid latched on to him and won't let go. He's like ancient and he still has it."
"I'm two months younger than you," Tommy pointed out.
"Okay," Jeremy exclaimed, "I am totally lost here, what's going on? What's all this talk about colors and team-ups and… Where did Frank and the other kids go."
The older rangers froze, looking at each other and then at Jason's younger cousin, how in the world had they forgotten about him, and, more importantly, how were they going to explain what he just overheard?
"It's a role-playing game," Rocky announced, "We pretend to be power rangers, and since power rangers tend to team up… Yeah this whole thing is a game..." Rocky glanced at his wife and friends for support before announcing, "I'm going to go check to see if Melody is by the ice cream bar."
…
"What's going on," J.T. asked as he slid into his seat at the round table, "And make it quick I was about to cream my dad at the ring toss game."
"Mordred was spotted at the school, near where you were at," with that Ms. Johnson nodded towards Frank and Mason, "Before disappearing once more."
"Where did he go?" Sara asked, leaning forward eagerly.
"That's the odd part, TJ just called me and told me he's picking up a strange energy reading in a cemetery just outside of Seattle Washington, an energy reading that matches that of Morgana."
"Wait," Melody asked, "Does that mean Morgana left the Enchanted Forest, I thought that was impossible."
"It isn't impossible, just wasn't something we thought she would do, she can only survive about an hour outside of the forest."
"Then why would she leave?" Frank asked.
"Because she has a plan something that will make her stronger, something that will give her an upper hand."
"What's she going to do, raise an undead army?" J.T. asked with a snort.
"This is serious J.T.," Sara snapped, "Stop joking around."
"Actually," Ms. Johnson stated, looking at the teens, "J.T.'s on the right track, Morgana is looking for a host, a body she can take over."
"If she's looking for a host, why is she looking in a cemetery in Seattle?"
"I have family buried there, remember Mason," Sara announced, "my mom and grandpa. Besides, how are we going to get to Seattle, the one thing we can't do is teleport."
"We also need to think about the school," Frank announced, "if we leave the school would be vulnerable to attack."
"You're forgetting something," Ms. Johnson smiled as she got a gleam in her eyes, "I believe that your parents and legal guardians might be able to help."
"We get to team up with The Tommy Oliver?!"
…
"So are you going to explain why you were talking about being power rangers in front of me, and where my son disappeared to, or what?" Jeremy asked, folding his arms as he gave his older cousin and his friends a look.
"It's complicated," Tommy insisted, "Trust me, it's in your best interest to just forget about what you heard."
"Uncle Tommy."
Tommy turned around sharply watching as his nephew and his friends came rushing towards them.
"What is it Mason?" he asked, letting out a sigh as he rubbed his forehead, he could almost feel the Morphing energy like static coursing through his veins. He wondered if the others could too, or was he just more sensitive to it with how long and how often he served.
"We need you and your teammates help," Mason insisted, "Morgana's been spotted in Seattle, she's most likely headed to..." he trailed off, not sure how to say the next part, he had lived with his uncle for the most of the summer, and knew for a fact that he had a temper. It was slow to flare up, but once it did… and he had a feeling this was something that would do the trick.
"She's headed to my mom's grave," Sara finished, "We don't have a way to get there fast enough."
"And we can't leave the school unguarded," Frank added.
"Can you help us," Mark finished?
Tommy groaned, "I should have known better than to come. I'm a magnet for trouble."
"What are you guys talking about?" Jeremy demanded, "what's going on?"
Just then there was a scream as a siren went off.
"That's the monster alarm," Melody announced.
"Do they really need to sound the alarm?" J.T. asked pointing to the game booths and the several Dark knights tipping them over, "They're right there."
"You guys take care of the knights," Tommy barked, Aisha, Rocky, Jason, Kat, you're with me."
"How exactly are we getting to Seattle?" Jason asked.
"If I excess the morphing grid I should be able to teleport us," Tommy muttered to himself, "all I need is three minutes."
Aisha gave Kat a look, "He can excess the morphing grid?"
"Don't look at me, I haven't seen the guy since we broke up right after I moved to London."
"Considering that this is Tommy we're talking about, I'm not that surprised," Rocky confessed.
…
Tommy landed with a loud thump flat on his stomach, okay so maybe he needed to do some more research before he tried to teleport the next time. He pushed his arms up from underneath him about to stand up when something heavy landed on top of him.
"You know the only time we ever landed in a pile like that was when Alpha teleported us mid-fall," Jason grumbled, rolling off of Tommy.
"Sorry," Tommy offered, "I knew the theory of teleportation but that was the first time I've ever tried to do it without help. Wish I had Billy, Justin, Ethan… Or Hayley… Come on, let's go," Tommy ordered, slipping into leader mode, as he waved his hand.
"Tommy," Jason called out, pointing to the opposite direction, "the grave's in this direction."
"How do you know?" Rocky asked, peering in the direction that Jason was pointing, "I can't see anything out of the ordinary there."
"See the grave with the pink heart-shaped wreath," Jason asked, pointing down a row of tombstones to one that was decorated with a large wreath of pink roses, "That's..." Jason trailed off, noticing something important, there was a large pile of dirt next to the grave, "Morgana's here already."
"You don't say," a new voice crowed, a voice that sent shivers down the rangers' backs as it was both familiar and strange at the same time.
Tommy turned around sharply, not at all surprised when he found himself facing a woman with caramel-colored hair floating about six feet off the ground, "Morgana," he spat, "You might be hiding in Kimberly's body but that doesn't mean we won't fight you."
"But along with her body I have all of her memories," Morgana spoke through Kim's mouth, her eyes solid black, "I know each and every one of your weaknesses, like the fact that none of you will ever hurt her."
There was a large roar as Jason leaped up slamming his body into Morgana's, "You might have all of Kim's memories, but those memories are from two decades ago, things have changed."
"So you'll really destroy one of your own?" Morgana taunted, "You'll destroy me."
Tommy swung a fist but Morgana did a black flip out of the way, "Come on Tommy, face it, I know all of your sweetheart's moves, and you could never beat her," she taunted, batting thick eyelashes at him.
Tommy shook his head, Morgana might look like Kimberly and fight like Kimberly, she was not Kimberly, and the solid black eyes made that obvious, "Did you honestly think that would stop me? You are not Kim."
"You're right, I'm not," Morgana agreed, sending a blast wave to the rangers, knocking them over.
"How many of you have morphers on you?" Tommy gasped as he pulled himself up off the floor, "Because I think that we will have to morph. Man, I hope the kids are having better luck than we are."
…
Sara released her bow, sending an arrow straight into one of the dark knights, which exploded on contact, five more stepped forward to take its place.
"I hope Uncle Tommy is having better luck," Mason called out, slamming a knight into its friends, "I think we're outnumbered a hundred to one."
"It's only ten to one," Mark announced, "But we also defeated several already."
"MY dear Dark Knights," a sugary sweet voice, that kind of sweet sound that actually sounds threatening, called out, "fall back."
Sara glanced up at the sky to find her mother floating there, her eyes solid black, "That's not good," she muttered as Morgana disappeared.
"We tried to stop her, but we arrived too late," Tommy announced, as the original green ranger appeared next to Mason.
…
Tommy glanced around the Encampment, before sitting down at one of the chairs, "Well, this has been an eventful day," he announced, looking around at his nephew's team and his old teammates, "Morgana's stronger than ever."
"We can take him," J.T. announced, "Piece of cake."
"She has all of Kimberly's memories," Tommy pointed out, "and fighting skills, which is why I think you're going to need my help."
"What," Ms. Johnson asked, "Tommy what are you talking about?"
"Apparently Mr. Lyon didn't like all these monster attacks and decided to take early retirement so there's a science teacher opening, and I'm taking it. Besides something about Morgana's possession of Kim's body doesn't make sense, how is she able to excess her memories and reflexes, unless..."
"Are you saying that my mom's still alive?"
"I'm saying that things aren't adding up," Tommy replied, "And I want to be here to get to the bottom of this."
