I thank God for all my inspiration.
And the Ninja will be 20. Skeletons were robots. Takes place after Ninjaball Run.
The ninja were happy to have the bounty back, it had been so long since they've felt so comfortable and with enough room to sleep properly.
At the kitchen table one morning "Oh I've missed my bed. That apartment was way too cramped." Jay sighed as he stretched.
"Yeah and we can finally train properly. No offence to Dareth, but the dojos got nothing on the bounty." Cole smirked as he sat down.
"Not only that but we finally have all the instruments needed to hopefully help us keep track of Garmadon and the serpentine." Zane smiled as he also took his seat.
The only one not smiling was Kai as he frowned saying "That may be true but we're still no closer to defeating Garmadon. Sensei, I know this might not be the best time. But is there any other way to find out who the green ninja is?"
"I thought you had let go of this Kai?" Wu raised a brow.
"I'm not talking about me Sensei, or even one of us. But the green ninja is needed for the final battle and that won't happen unless we get the green ninja on our team." Kai reasoned.
"He does have a point Sensei. The legend states the green ninja will defeat Garmadon and with him possessing the mega weapon we will be no closer to defeating him unless we can complete the legend." Zane frowned with worry.
"Hmm, perhaps you are all right. I will take some time to research on the green ninja and its legend." Wu got up and left the dining room.
At that Nya said "Well I'm going to try and see if I can get the ship upgraded in anyway." She stood up.
"I can help if you like Nya." Jay stumbled a bit.
"Sure, I could use the help." She smiles as she starts walking out and Jay rushes after her.
Kai shakes his head at this and Lloyd says, "So what do we do now?"
"How about we go look around Ninjago city. We've been training none-stope for a while now." Cole smirks at the idea of getting out.
"Oh, can you guys take me to the comic book store? I've been wanting to get the new star fare comic." Lloyd jumped.
"I guess we could do that while we're out." Kai shrugged "What about you Zane?"
"I believe I will join you all on your day out." Zane stood smiling.
"Okay then let's boogie." Cole smiles and they head out after changing into civilian cloths.
Once on the ground the four walked about, Lloyd leading them to the comic book store.
As Kai, Cole, and Lloyd were heading in, Zane sensed something and then looked up to see his falcon calling him.
"Hey Zane, you coming?" Kai asked.
"You three go on. I believe my friend is asking for my assistance." Zane points to the bird.
"Oh, we'll go with you…." Kai starts.
"That is okay, we do not know what he wants or if there is any danger. Enjoy yourselves." Zane smiles and rushes off.
"Okay, but we'll meet up with you as soon as possible!" Kai calls.
Zane just kept running. Only concentrating on the falcon as he rushed off, passing allies and crossing streets, one time jumping over a car, making passerby's look on in shock.
After a bit, Zane found himself at a park. He looked about confused. It looked like any other park, elders feeding birds, children playing, and couples walking about.
He heard the falcon calling him again and he fallowed. He ended up rushing into a nature walk. A few people around, and not that complicated to navigate. Suddenly he heard something.
"AH!" At that he frowned and rushed towards the sound.
"Let go of me!" A girl with brown hair in a pixy cut and yellow highlights , large brown eyes, and a tiny four pointed birthmark under her right eye screamed.
"Just look into my eyes and it will all be fine girl." A hypnorby tried to say but the girl kicked at it and tried to run.
But a constricti dug under and then popped up in front, grabbing her "Let go!" She yelled trying to get away, but the grip was too tight.
"What does Garmadon want with this girl anyway?" The constricti asked.
"Who knows, he's been acting weird ever since he made that whish in privet." The hypnobry said trying to get the girl to open her eyes, but she bit him making him scream.
The girl spat out at that saying "Gross!"
"Let her go!" Zane called and the two snakes jumped "Ninja!"
The constricti started running off with the girl who was kicking to be let go while the hypnobry tried to fight off Zane. Zane only needed to do spinjistue and the snaked ended up high in a tree, all dizzy.
The girl kept struggling, even jabbing the constricti in the ribs and he hissed "That's it!" he held her tighter and she yelled in pain.
"Leave her alone!" Zane glared as he iced the floor and the snake fell on his back and let the girl go who went sailing forward.
Zane jumped and caught her in his arms "Are you okay?"
"My body hurts." The girl in a green sleeveless shirt with a white lotus on the chest whined in pain.
"I will get you some help." Zane nods.
"Not so fast ninja!" the constricti tried to run at him but Zane froze his feet, and he was stuck.
At that Zane rushed off and headed back to the bounty "Thank you, you're the white ninja, aren't you?" she said surprised.
"That is correct, my name is Zane. And you are?" Zane smiles as he runs.
"Esme." The girl smiles and Zane felt a funny feeling in his chest.
At the bounty….
Lloyd, Kai, and Cole came back and Wu asked "Where is Zane?"
"He ran off after his bird. I tried to call him, but he hasn't answered." Kai frowned worried.
"Maybe he found something." Cole says curios.
"Try to find him on the scanners. I found a scroll that may help us figure out who the green ninja might be." Wu explains.
"Wow really that's …" Before Kai could say anything, Nya said over the speakers "Guys we have to land, Zane's coming in with a guest."
They all looked confused at that, but soon landed and when they came to see Zane they saw him come in with a girl in his arms.
"Sensei she needs medical attention. She was attacked by serpentine." Zane says worried.
"Of course, this way." Wu waves them over as Zane takes her to the monitor room where she's laid down and Wu mixes up some tea.
"This is a healing tea. It will help with most of your injuries." Wu gave it to the girl.
Esme sighed and said "Sigh, I feel much better." She sat up.
"We're glad to hear that. I am Sensei Wu." Wu nods.
Esme nods "Nice to meet you, I'm Esme."
"So, you got attacked by those snakes. But why?" Kai looks confused.
"I don't know. I was minding my own business when they came out of nowhere." Esme sighed.
"I believe I heard them say something about Garmadon wanting her." Zane recalled what the snakes said.
"What! But what would that monster want with me?" Esme looks worried.
"I cannot be certain, but it is most likely not good. I suggest staying with us until we figure this out." Wu ponders on this.
"Thank you, sorry to trouble you all." Esme sighs.
"No problem at all, where do you live? You will most likely need a few things and your family must be worried." Wu looks on expectantly.
"Yeah they probably are. I live…" Esme explains.
She told them where to go and soon they were at a nice home where two parents waited worriedly. The mother was in a panic when she heard what happened and the father looked angry.
After explaining the plan, they looked uncertain, but agreed it be for the best. After getting her things she was moved in with Nya.
"Sorry to take away your room." Esme smiled apologetically.
"It's okay, I actually like the idea of having another girl around." Nya smiles.
"I guess it can be a bit hard being around only boys." Esme chuckled.
"Yeah, there are just somethings they just don't get." Nya smirks.
The two laughed at that and ended up getting to know each other as they made room for Esme.
While this happened the ninja where in the dining room with Sensei "So you think they'll try to take anyone else Sensei?" Kai askes.
"I am uncertain, but we should keep ourselves informed of any missing people reports and serpentine activity." Wu warns them.
"Yes Sensei." The ninja bow.
With that Wu headed to his room, going to look over his scrolls again for more info on the green ninja.
"So Zane, saved a girl hugh? You think she's cute?" Jay smirks.
"Why would that matter?" Zane quirked a brow.
"He means if you like her Frosty." Cole smirked with arms crossed.
"She seems pleasant." Zane smiles nodding.
"They mean if you would want to date her Zane?" Kai decided to be clear since it seemed Zane was having trouble understanding.
"That would not be a possibility." Zane shook his head.
"Why not?" Jay shrugged.
Zane frowned opening his chest revealing his wires and cogs.
"Oh, well maybe, ugh…." Cole tries to say something but doesn't know what.
Zane closes his chest and says "It does not matter. It is not to be. A nindroid cannot be with a human. We cannot become anything serous and even if so, I would outlive her and as she ages I stay the same." Zane looks down sadly.
"Oh man Zane, we're sorry. We never really thought about it like that." Kai pats his shoulder.
"It is okay, but now you understand so I appreciate it if we do not speak on this again." Zane looks on a bit serous.
"Got it." Cole nods.
"Lips sealed." Jay does the zip motion to his mouth.
At that moment Esme and Nya came in "Hey guys. I need to do some scans, mind keeping our guest busy."
"That's okay, I'm pretty used to keeping myself busy so…." Esme doesn't want to trouble them.
"Hey no, if you're going to stay you might as well have a fun time. Do you like video games?" Jay asks.
"Depends on the type." Esme frowns.
"How about fist to face four?" Kai smirks.
"Yeah I like that game." Esme nodded.
"Okay then, to the game room!" Cole calls leading the charge.
Esme and Zane walk and Esme says "Thanks again for before." She smiles.
"It is my duty as a ninja to protect those that cannot protect themselves." Zane nods.
"Yeah but still, I rather be able to protect myself. You mind teaching me some moves while I'm here?" Esme looked excited.
"We train Lloyd, so training you would be no problem." Zane smiles.
"Really, thanks!" She said excitedly.
Zane only nods as they enter the game room.
As they all sat, Jay asks "So do you know the rules ,or do you need help?" he gives her the remote.
"I know how. I've played it a few times." Esme nodded.
"Okay then let the competition begins. Oh wait, we only have four controllers. So, who's playing winner?" Kai asks.
"I do not mind waiting." Zane sits down to meditate.
"Are you sure?" Esme looks uncertain.
Zane smiles and nodded as the game begins. Esme is a bit slow at first but gets the hang of it as they go along.
She's not the best player but she does beat Cole "No way, how'd you do that?"
"I just had to make sure I grabbed the secret orb and I got a power up." Esme smirks.
"Secret orb, I don't remember that?" Kai looks shocked.
"I do, it's right before you get to the boss level in the right podium!" Jay jumps.
"Yeah, really I only found that by accident when I was searching around for healing objects." Esme explained.
"Oh, good idea…" Jay and Esme geek out a bit on the game and the others just sit back and relax a bit.
Then Wu comes in and says "I am glad to see you all getting along. But you should all still be training as well." Wu looks on sternly.
"Sorry Sensei, lost track of time." Kai gets up.
"Sensei, Esme wishes to learn how to defend herself better. I said we would teach her." Zane stood.
"With Garmadon after her that is probably for the best. Go on." Wu nods and leaves once more.
As he does though he thinks 'What do you want with that girl brother?' That's when he remembered, Esme had a four star birthmark.
'Can it be!' Wu jumped and headed back to his scrolls.
With the ninja on deck. They had started flying again and where above the clouds. Esme was a bit uncomfortable but was fine as long as she stayed away from the rails.
"Hey where's Lloyd, doesn't he have training?" Jay asks.
"No not today. Remember it's Tuesday. Sensei's trying to make sure he's not overworked since his body's still so small." Kai explains.
"Yeah, plus no one wants to interrupt him when he's with a new comic." Cole shivers at the thought of the kid pranking them whenever he's disturbed from his comic time.
"We can teach Esme instead. What would you like to learn?" Zane asks.
"Some basics first I guess." Esme thinks on this.
"Okay simple punches and kicks then." Cole smirks.
"Here, I'll show you how to properly stand and then do the right kata." Kai comes over and helps her out.
The rest of the ninja get to work.
Wu looked on at a scroll and thought 'How did he find out? I know I hid these well.' Then he thought of something 'The golden weapon. He wouldn't of wasted time not using it.' Wu frowned and then went out to see the ninja training.
Esme was doing katas with Kai as the boys did their own thing. Wu looked on curios then looked at the scroll 'Marked by the stars, a hidden beauty, only when surrounded by their protectors will they appear.'
Wu looked on curiously once more 'Surrounded by their protectors…'
Cole started dancing as he fought against Jay and was able to dodge every move "Hey not fair!" Jay yelled.
"Sensei never said dancing wasn't allowed." Cole spun and moon walked.
"That's so cool! Where'd you learn to dance like that?" Esme called out.
"My dads a big time singer and dancer so he kind of trained me since I was a kid." Cole shrugged. Like it was nothing.
"I love dancing but I'm horrible at singing." Esme chuckles.
"Really, how about you show us some moves?" Cole smirked.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Esme smirked back.
"Oh come on please? Some ones has to deflate his ego." Jay points at Cole.
Cole glares at that but Esme chuckles and says "Okay a bit. Any music we can use."
"I believe I can make some." Zane smirks as he opens his arm and flips a switch that's says radio and some music starts.
"Oh yeah you're a nindroid I almost forgot." Esme smiles.
"You know?" Kai looks surprised.
"I think everyone knows after the ninjaball run when his head turned like an owl." Esme raised a brow.
Zane looked down saddened at this and Esme said "Hey what's wrong, I didn't mean to be rude. Sorry sometimes my mouth says things faster than my brain can keep up with. Or I do think it but still say it." Esme frowns.
Zane looked up shocked "You are not upset by my origins." Zane had met a few people who gave him dirty looks for being a nindroid and sometime some harsh words.
"Why? You haven't hurt anybody and you're really nice. I mean how many people can say I met a nindroid!" Esme said excitedly.
Zane had to smiles at this 'She does not care that I am not human.'
"Okay, we get it Zane is cool, now can we get back to the challenge?" Cole huffs.
"Alright but I warned you guys." Esme smirked.
At that a new song came up and at that Esme began to dance.
'Don't think about it

Esme shook her hips and spun about trying to stay to the beat as best she could as she let herself get taken away.
The ninja felt their jaws drop at this as they saw Esme twist and turn about. Cole shook his head though and began to start dancing as well. The others cheering.
'Show the world you've got that fire (fire)
Feel the rhythm getting louder
Show the room what you can do
Prove to them you got the moves
I don't know about you,'
Kai had to repeat the fire part and Esme laughed as the others shook their heads at this. Cole spun and started moon walking about as he then shook his head.
Esme did the same shaking her hair about as she spun and did a few kicks with some jumps.
'But I feel better when I'm dancing, yeah, yeah
Better when I'm dancing, yeah, yeah
And we can do this together
I bet you feel better when you're dancing, yeah, yeah.'
In the end all five ended up dancing and they forgot about the competition, all of them laughing at how fun that was.
Wu smiled 'Perhaps this will be good.'
Suddenly an alarm went off and they all rushed to the monitor rooms "Guys, Garmadon's causing trouble downtown. He's calling you all out."
"But why, why is dad doing this?" Lloyd looks worried.
Then they heard "Bring me the girl, ninja, or Ninjago city will suffer."
Esme looked on scared.
"What is up with him, why does he want Esme so bad?" Kai looks confused.
"Did you do something to him Esme?" Jay asks.
"I've never met him before!" Esme panics.
"We shall not let him get you." Zane held her shoulder.
"Thanks." She smiles.
"He cannot get her." Wu frowns.
"Sensei is something wrong?" Cole asks.
"I have a theory on why he wants Esme, but I am still uncertain. For now, you must stop him." Wu points his staff to the monitor.
"Yes Sensei!" they call and head out.
As they rush out Esme looks on worried "Hey they'll be fine they've been in plenty of fights." Nya patted her shoulder.
"But am I being selfish. Hiding here while everyone else suffers." She looks at the screen.
"Trust me Esme. At the moment keeping yourself safe is the best thing you can do." Wu looks on serous.
She looks confused at him 'What could he mean by that?'
Meanwhile the ninja had arrived in the ultra sonic raider. They took out some snakes and then when they reached Garmadon he smirked "So you came, where's the girl?"
"We're not giving her to you Garmadon!" Kai glared as they jumped out of the raider, powers igniting.
"So, it's going to be like that is it. Fine, attack!" he yells and the ninja get charged by snakes.
But they take care of them easily with their powers. Garmadon growls and says "Guess it's no use. I have to make a wish."
He held up the mega weapon and shouted "I wish the girl brought to me!"
At the bounty….
Esme gasped as did the other as they turned to her and then Esme looked down to find her body disappearing "What's going on."
"No!" Wu called as he tried to stop this, but it was too late, she disappeared.
"Where'd she go?" Lloyd jumped.
"Right where Garmaodn wanted her." Nya pointed as Esme appeared in the battlefield and gasped.
"Finally." Garmadon smirked and Esme got up to run.
"Oh no you don't." Garmadon gasped as he was drained. "Grr, not again. Get her!" Garmadon called.
The snakes turned their attention to Esme who was already pretty tired from the teleporting.
'Oh no!' she gasped as she looked around herself to find she was surrounded. But the guys all suddenly encircled her and activated her powers "Don't worry Esme we got you." Kai called.
"None of these chumps are coming near you." Jay has his nunchucks ready.
"But you all hardly know me and you're ready to protect me against an army. Why?" Esme looked shocked.
"We're ninja, it's what we do?" Cole nods.
"And you are our friend." Zane nods as well.
"Friend, we just met?" Esme looked on surprised as the guys fought off snakes.
"Doesn't matter. So far, you've acted a like friend would to us, why wouldn't we act the same to you." Kai knocked a snake away.
"Yeah, and we protect our friends." Jay nods.
At that Esme felt something strange inside her, something surging. Suddenly she saw the ninja where getting over run and thought 'No, no I won't let them get hurt!'
At that a blast of green energy burst out, the serpentine falling on their backs.
At this the ninja turned around in shock and Kai said "Esme?"
"She is the green ninja." Zane added his own shock.
Esme was floating, limbs stretched out as her body was releasing the power within. Then the power left her, and she began to fall.
Zane rushed and caught her saying "I got you."
"Zane…" Esme said weekly.
"You are safe now." He smiles.
"Not for long." Garmadon growls about to hit them with the mega weapon
But Esme lets out another burst throwing the mad man off. This seemed enough to weaken him fully and he called "Retreat!" as he and the snakes used bikes and a bus to run away.
Once they saw that the danger was gone Esme finally let her exhaustion take over. "Esme!" the ninja call as they rushed to get her back to the bounty.
Later…
Esme woke up to some beeping and asked "Where am I."
"On the bounty. You gave us quite the scare." Wu smiled as he walked over.
"Oh, I feel so tired." She groans.
"It seems you overexerted yourself. You'll need to take it slow before you can use your power like that again." Nya explains.
"Got it." She sighs.
"That was so cool! I've never seen anything like it." Lloyd jumped about.
"Yeah, you really showed them what you're made off." Jay jumped as well.
"Thanks. But now what?" Esme frowns.
"Now you rest and then we will begin training." Wu explains.
"Do not worry Esme, we will do our best to help you prepare." Zane smiles.
"Thanks." She smiles back as Zane nods, with that they left her be so she could rest.
Meanwhile….
Garmadon was furious. He was breaking whatever he could get his hands on, so the snakes gave him a wide berth.
"Those meddlesome ninja. They now have the green ninja and the finale battle is one step closer. I can't let that happen. I will find a way to keep it from happening." Garmadon paced around angrily all the while a scroll on his bedside showed a girl in green with the four ninja surrounding her and a powerful look in her eyes.
