Pilot Chapter: Call to a Phantom
It was another bright day for everyone who was out enjoying their time.
There was no school
The sun was shining
The birds were chirping.
*BOOM*
"AAAAAAHHHH!"
The people were running away from the battle that was going on.
Yep, A typical Saturday afternoon in our favorite most haunted place in America
Danny thought that he would be able to spend this Saturday, doing the things he normally does; play games, hang out with his friends, go to the mall, and eat junk food. But he should have known that whenever you plan something, expect all your plans to be thrown out the window the second you wake up, especially when your life is anything like his.
Danny Fenton, youngest of the Fenton family, son of the world's most renowned ghost hunters and experts, school outcast, lowest on the social status, C grade student, second halfa to exist ever, and the most infamous ghost on both the living and the dead's side of things.
"Come on, Cheesehead, just return the map and we can both go back to enjoying our Saturday!" he dodged a pink ectoblast that would have hit him in the chest before he returned fire with his own green one.
The one he was fighting was the first Halfa ever created, Vlad Plasmius AKA Vlad Masters. College friend of Jack and Maddie Fenton; Danny's parents, and multibillionaire who has made it his goal to mess with Danny's life in every step.
The map that Vlad had was the Infi-map
"Daniel, stop this. You know I am still more powerful than you regardless of how much you've improved. Think of it. This map could take us to our destiny. Me as ruler of the whole world and you by my side as my lieutenant." he gave his fanged grin as if what he said was the most convincing deal anyone could ever want.
Danny, however, only rolled his eyes. "Do you know how many times you've made that deal to me? And every time I've heard it, I give you the same answer." He pulled back his arms and cupped his hands as he focused a ball of Ecto energy in it before thrusting his arms forward and sending a large blast at Plasmius. "Not a chance!"
Plasmius merely waved a hand in front of him and erected a magenta barrier. "You disappoint me, Little badger. You waste your talents on such mundane things."
"And you waste your time trying to get things that don't belong to you and will never belong to you. After all this time, you could have moved on and actually find a woman that would have loved to be with you. But no, you had to focus solely on my mom, someone who doesn't want anything to do with you and is married!" he stopped his blast and flew toward Vlad, flipping over the barrier and sending a kick at the older halfa who flew up to avoid it. "Why don't you move on and get a life!?"
Vlad looked down at Dany as he gave his usual smirk. "I intend to 'get a life', once your father's is ended." Using his free hand, he sent a blast at Danny who was too slow to dodge it in time.
"Argh!" Danny was sent flying before he crashed into a tree and slid to the ground. Getting back up, he rubbed the spot that was hit as he glared at the taunting vampire wannabe floating in the air. "I'm really starting to hate the power difference between us. Stupid gloating Dracula reject has most of the powers I have and some that I still haven't gotten." it was then that something in his mind clicked and he gained a cocky smirk. "But I have power that he doesn't either." His eyes flashed blue before he sunk into the ground, ready to finish this.
Vlad frowned as he saw the young halfa sink into the ground. He floated down and landed on the ground as he called out. "Oh please, Daniel, your moves are predictable at this point. You've always used the same tactic whenever we fought." in an instant, he spun around and grabbed Danny by the throat and held him in the air. "You will never be able to defeat me boy and now that I have the map, I will soon reach my destiny."
Danny struggled to get out of Vlad's grasp as he pulled on the hand around his throat. After a second, he stopped flailing and smirked at the older Halfa. "If I'm predictable, so are you."
Vlad raised an eyebrow at the comment but wasn't able to reply as he was suddenly blasted in the face with Danny's cryokinetic blast. The action was so fast that Vlad couldn't even open his mouth in a gasp but he did let go of Danny because of it.
Danny landed in a crouch and looked up at the completely frozen half-ghost. Seeing that this fight was over, he stood up and nonchalantly dusted his arms "I guess the weatherman forgot to tell you about the cold snap." looking at the hand that held the Infi-map, he smirked as he reached out to take it, both thankful and apologetic at the small amount of frost that covered it. "Hope Frostbite doesn't mind the ice covering it.
~Meanwhile~
A platinum blonde 15-year-old girl was looking out the window at the town that surrounded her parents' castle. There was a time when she would be smiling and having a good time around the castle or out in the courtyard with her sister.
But that was so long ago. After the incident where she accidentally struck her sister's head, she has been afraid of using her magic for anything. The problem is that they kept getting stronger as time passed and there were times when she would lose control altogether and cause things to frost over. It is why she isolated herself from everyone, including her family in fear of hurting any of them.
Elsa looked at her gloved hands and wondered why she had this curse. 'Why was I born with this? Why couldn't I be a normal girl like Anna?' The thought of her sister made her heart clench as she remembered all the times they used to play together and have fun in the snow. She smiled sadly at all the times they laughed, had snowball fights, sled down a snow hill, make snow angels, and build snowmen. All in the comfort of their own home. Those were fond memories that seemed like they were now a dream she had and were never real. 'All thanks to this power.'
Suddenly, the room's temperature began to drop drastically as the cushioned bench she was sitting on began to ice over. She noticed that the glass she was looking out of gained a layer of frost and immediately looked down to see that ice was beginning to cover the whole room from where she was sitting. "Oh no!" fear began to overtake her and the speed of the ice's creation increased. "Nonononon! Not again! Stop. stop, please STOP!" a torrent of icy wind swirled around her with papers, items, and other small objects began to lift up from where they were and join the blizzard.
King Agnarr and Queen Iduna were in the castle library, each with a book in their hand.
King Agnarr was sitting at a table with a book in his hand and a few papers to the side as he was looking over some documents that required his signature but he was reading about previous trades done with the other kingdom that the documents pertained to. The kingdom of Corona (1).
Queen Iduna was walking around the library with a novel in her hands, as the King had told her that he could handle these documents himself and that she should enjoy herself. Despite how she was looking at the pages, her mind went to her eldest daughter. She worried about her as any mother would, but she was sure that no mother had to worry as much as she did. She loved her daughter but the way things were going, it seemed that Elsa would separate herself from them in order to keep them safe. But that was something she didn't want. She didn't want her daughter to live her life like this, isolated and alone but she didn't know how to help her. The message from the trolls had set them all on edge and they had done their best to heed their warning. 'But is the cost worth it?'
It was then that they both felt the temperature drop and they were immediately on edge.
Normally, a temperature drop would just mean that they need to add more wood to the fire, but with how their daughter is able to create ice, this was a little more concerning. They looked at each other before they put down whatever they had and ran out the door.
They made their way through the halls and up the stairs and paused as they saw that the door to Elsa's room was now covered in a thick layer of ice.
Agnarr ran up to the door and tried the handle only to find that it wouldn't budge. "Elsa? Elsa!" he pounded his fist on the door, hoping that she would open it so they could help, but no voice was heard. Not seeing any other way, he rammed his shoulder into the door.
After a few attempts, the door finally burst open and the parents ran in to see blizzard winds rushing around Elsa. They tried getting to her but the winds were so strong that they could barely enter the room.
Agnarr had to put his arms in front of his face as he called out. "ELSA!" he was nearly knocked back as a burst of wind was sent and had to crouch down to stay steady. When he did this, he could hear Elsa speaking to herself as she was curled up in the middle of the room.
"Conceal it, don't feel it, don't let it show. Conceal it, don't feel it, don't let it show. Conceal it, don't feel it, don't let it show."
Elsa was whimpering out the saying that her father and she had made in an attempt to control the power. But it wasn't working,
She clenched her eyes shut as she tried to stop the power but her fear grew as the ice kept going. She whimpered out. "Stop, stop, please. Someone help. Someone, anyone, help!"
Danny slipped the Infi-map out of Vlad's hand and smirked as he saw the older halfa's eyes widen. "Now that this is out of your hands…." he pulled out his Fenton Thermos and pointed it at Vlad.
The older halfa was then sucked inside without the chance of getting away since he was still frozen.
Danny smiled at how he was able to get Vlad out of his hair which meant that the rest of the day would be his to do as he wanted. He then looked at his other hand which had the Infi-map. "Once I get you back to Frostbite, I think a celebratory milkshake is in order." he was about to fly off to head home but the map in his hand began to glow blue. He stared at it for a moment, thinking that it might be his ice shining in the sun till he realized. "I didn't do that." he didn't have a chance to say anything else as the map then began to fly off, with Danny holding onto it for dear half-life.
The thermos had been dropped by him and rolled into an alley.
"Finally! I got free of that accursed ice. Hear me, Daniel, this won't stop me from getting what is rightfully mine!" came the voice of Vida, who was still inside the thermos. Not hearing any witty response, the vampire-looking ghost asked. "Daniel, are you there?" nothing. "Hello? Are you ignoring me?!" still nothing. "Daniel?... Oh, butter biscuits."
Danny had no idea where he was going but he did know that he couldn't let go of the map
And not from a lack of trying.
At first, he had tried to hang on to the map so he wouldn't lose it, which is why he grabbed onto it with both hands. But then he figured that he could just follow it with his own flight and grab it when it stopped. Problem was that when he tried to open his hand, they wouldn't budge no matter how hard he tried. Now the thing was moving so fast that he felt like he was in one of the astronaut's g-force chairs. Now he knew that if he had actually been able to let go, he would have lost sight of the map fast.
Not something that would have been good since the map shouldn't be in anyone's hands.
He had to shut his eyes as it felt like the map was going faster. Due to this, he didn't see that he had entered a portal, one colored differently from any other ghost portal he was used to.
King Agnarr and Queen Iduna were still trying to get to their daughter as snow began to fill the hallway. They were both thankful that Anna was out of the castle at the moment as she and Gerda were in town buying some supplies for the kitchen staff.
They allowed Anna out of the castle as long as she had someone with her but they never allowed her out for long. And she was supposed to come back immediately. It was a small amount of freedom as they knew that the spirited girl liked being outside.
Iduna shivered as the cold air began to get even colder but still, she tried to get to her eldest. "Elsa!"
Elsa finally heard the calls of her parents and looked up to see them at the door to her room. She began to panic as she saw that her powers were harming them. "No! Stay away from me!" the snow on the ground gave way to ice spikes that jutted out in a circle around her. She looked at her hands in fear as she knew that she couldn't control this power. "HELP!"
Suddenly, from the ceiling of the room, a portal opened and a figure fell out of it and crashed onto the ground.
The parents didn't see the portal but they did see the figure fall.
"Ow, that was the most uncomfortable ride I've ever been on." Danny got to his feet as he held his head in pain after landing on it. He didn't notice the cold air till a strong gust nearly made him stumble and he opened his eyes to see he was in the middle of a blizzard. "What the heck?"
"Who are you?"
Danny turned around and saw a girl looking up at him with shock evident on her face. He looked the girl over to see that she looked regal, like a princess in one of the fantasy stories you can find in the library. This was a red flag to him since she was wearing thin clothing in the middle of a blizzard. Thinking fast, he jumped in front of her and threw his hands to the side to create a dome of his ecto energy to protect them from the storm he thought they were in.
Seeing what the boy did shocked Elsa out of her fear and she looked up in wonder at the green and white dome around them.
"You ok?"
Elsa looked from the dome to the one who made it. It was a boy with hair as white as the purest snow, a tan complexion, and eyes so green that they looked like they glowed, though she figured it was from the green dome around them. He was wearing a form-fitting outfit that was made of some odd material and showed off his skinny yet fit build. The odd thing was that he had a symbol on his chest that she could assume was a family crest since it had a design to it but it was a very simple one since it looked like a wispy "D" with the negative space within forming a "P"
"Elsa!"
The call startled both teens out of their thoughts and they looked to the side to see Agnarr and Iduna looking the dome over.
Danny raised an eyebrow before he lowered the dome. Once he did, he took a step back and watched as the two adults went to the girl and looked her over while asking if she was alright. It was then that he noticed furniture, a bed, and walls. He looked around to see that they weren't outside, they were in a large bedroom. This confused him since the blizzard they were just in was a strong one and made him think that the maps took him into the Himalayas, Antarctica, or even mount Fuji in a bad storm. 'Where did the storm come from?' he spun around to see if he could see where it could have originated but all he saw was a frosted room, covered with ice and snow. He crossed his arms and thought about what could have caused the blizzard in the room and ruled out a ghost since his sense didn't go off. Something he learned was that even if he was only wearing normal clothes and in the middle of a snowstorm, he wouldn't feel that much of a chill from it but if his ghost sense went off, he would feel it in his bones. After a minute of nothing, he figured that asking would be the best thing to do. He looked at the three and could tell that she was the daughter of the adults. 'Kinda obvious seeing how they are doting on her.' as the family moment continued, he picked up the map that he had to drop in order to make the dome and mentally asked it. 'Where did you take me?'
"Excuse me?"
Danny looked up to see the man walk up to him.
Agnarr looked the boy up and down and could tell there was something special about him. The creation of the dome was a dead giveaway, along with the glow that he had around his body. "I wish to thank you for helping my daughter. We were worried about what might happen if the blizzard continued."
Danny smiled as he nodded. "It's ok, helping people is something I do. But do you mind me asking, do you know where that blizzard even came from. I don't see anything that would be the cause of it."
Agnarr looked over his shoulder at his wife and daughter with a look of concern.
Elsa began to panic again at the thought of her being called out for creating the snowstorm in her room. This caused the icy floor under her feet to gain small clumps of snow.
Agnarr saw this and moved to his daughter's side and grasped her hands. "Elsa, remember, conceal it, don't feel it. Don't let it show."
Elsa nodded as she repeated the words to conceal her power.
Iduna watched as her husband and daughter do their mantra to control her magic, but her eyes flickered to the strange boy that arrived and saw the look of realization on his face.
Danny had seen the clumps of snow appear at her feet and with how the man reacted to this, he figured that he knew about it and that she was the cause. 'She has powers? But….she isn't a ghost. Ok…..what's going on?'
Once Elsa had calmed down and there was no sign of more snow or ice appearing, Agnarr smiled at his daughter and nodded before he stood up and looked back at the boy. He saw that the boy had figured it out and decided to try and solve this diplomatically. "As you can see, the blizzard had come from my daughter. She was born with the ability to create snow magic but it has become a problem as of late." he wasn't going to try and lie about it when the boy had fallen into the middle of the blizzard and figured out that it came from her. He just had to make sure that the boy would not react negatively to this.
Danny looked stunned at this and looked at the girl. "'Magic'? She has 'snow magic'?" the idea of magic wasn't that far-fetched to him but the only forms of it he has seen was from Desiree and even that could be seen as an alternative version of Ecto energy. But since his ghost sense didn't go off and he saw the sparkles at her feet, he couldn't refute what he was told. All he could say was: "wow."
Agnarr steeled himself as he continued. "We have been trying to keep her powers in check but at times they can get out of hand. We do not blame her for these events and we will continue to support her no matter what." He said this as a message more to his daughter than anything. "And I ask you to remain silent about this. We have done our best to keep this a secret from everyone as it may cause problems to our kingdom if she had an accident around the people."
Danny felt like he was in a fantasy world. The word "magic" and "kingdom" helped him out in that. He had a few questions pop into his head and he felt the need to ask them. One at a time. "Wait, 'kingdom'? What kingdom?"
Agnarr looked confused at the question but decided to answer. "The Kingdom of Arendele."
Now Danny was not the smartest student in the school, more because he no longer had time to study, but that didn't mean he was an idiot. He thought about the name and couldn't place it for the life of him. 'I knew I should have paid more attention in geography class.' deciding that this would have to wait till another time, he got to the other question he had. "You said that you are trying to keep her magic hidden, why?"
Iduna was the one to speak up as she held her daughter. "After an incident…" she ran her hand through Elsa's hair to calm her down as she could feel her tense up. "We were warned about her powers and the dangers they could have."
Danny couldn't help but quip. "Sounds ominous." he clamped his mouth shut since he didn't want to insult the family in front of him. He was used to being snarky and making jokes in a fight but he wasn't in a fight right now, despite still being in phantom form. Clearing his throat he asked the first thing that could come to mind. "What were the words to the warning exactly?" his time with Clockwork gave him the habit of trying to pick at warnings given to him for any hidden meaning.
Agnar chose to answer this one. "We were told that her powers would grow and that there is danger in it. She must learn to control it. 'Fear will be your enemy'."
Danny tilted his head at that as he mumbled. "Vague and straightforward. Yep, Clockwork would love that one." he thought about the warning and couldn't make any leeway on it. It was pretty clear from what he could tell. In the end, he shrugged and spoke what he knew about ice powers. "Well, I don't think keeping her from using it is helping much."
The family looked at the boy oddly for that. Agnarr would have refuted it but since Elsa's powers were getting out of hand, and the fact that he showed his own sort of power, he chose to hear the boy out. "What do you mean?"
Danny rubbed the back of his neck as he nervously chuckled. He was no good at explaining things but he already started so he might as well go all in. thinking of his lessons with Frostbite, he figured that explaining things his way may help. "Well….." stretching out his hand to the side, his eyes glowed blue as he sent out a blast of ecto ice as he focused on what he was doing. From the contact point of the beam, a structure began to form as Danny brought the beam upwards. Once he was sure it was done, he stopped his beam to show that he created a small statue of the girl was made.
The statue wasn't that detailed and the dress he made didn't have any of the designs the real one had but it would get his point across.
Danny looked at the Family and spoke. "When I gained my own ice powers, I hadn't used it at all and it was freezing me from the inside. I went to someone who taught me that I should let the ice out so it doesn't build up. 'I control the power, the power doesn't control me'. If you keep her from using it, she isn't controlling the power, she is just trying to hide it. Sooner or later she would use it without any control over what it does." he was using his lessons from Frostbite and the accidents he had when he first gained his ghost powers. Without practicing how to use them, he would still be turning his pants intangible and dropping them in front of people.
The family looked at the statue in awe as they did not expect someone else to have the power to control ice.
Elsa looked from the statue to the boy and gained a serious look. "Can you show me?"
Everyone else looked at her as she had remained silent till this point.
Elsa moved from her mother's grasp and walked up to the boy with resolution in her movements. "I would like to ask you if you could teach me how to control my magic." she did a curtsy as she asked him this favor.
Danny was at a loss for words. He only meant to give advice, not really teach anyone. "Uh, I don't…." he looked at the pleading eyes of the girl and felt his resolve to deny it dwindle. Now that he wasn't in an alert mindset, he saw that this girl was really pretty. Prettier than any girl he had ever seen in school. Not wanting to embarrass himself, he tried to get back into the serious mindset. Keyword "tried". Thinking about what he should do, he thought that maybe he could just show her some things for an hour or two before he began his trip back home. The map could take him there faster than his flight so he didn't have to worry about that. Especially since he had no idea where he was. "Well, I guess I could give you a few pointers but I do have to get back home at some point."
Feeling elated at the idea of finally being able to control her power, she jumped at the boy and hugged him.
Danny was so startled by the action that he caught her and began to float in the air. With her now being held in a carry related to her title.
Agnarr and Iduna were stunned silent at the sight of their daughter being held in a princess carry several feet in the air.
Elsa felt the odd sensation of being weightless and looked down to see that she was several feet in the air, and not falling. She looked at the boy with widened eyes. "You can fly?"
Danny shook his head out of his shock and nodded with a sheepish smile. "Yeah, sorry about this." he floated back down and placed her on the ground. "You kinda startled me with that."
"Remarkable." Was Agnarr's whispered exclamation. He knew of magic but he had never seen much apart from his daughter, the trolls, and the brief glimpses of the Enchanted forest. Seeing an opportunity he stepped forward and gave the same request his daughter did. "Anything you can show us to help my daughter control her power would be appreciated by us and put us in your debt."
Danny waved his hands as he frantically spoke. "Oh, it's fine, I don't want you in my debt. I'm just happy to help."
It was then that a shout was heard from the lower level. "We're back!"
Agnar and Iduna panicked as they looked out into the hall and saw the pile of snow. Iduna spoke in worry. "How are we going to hide all that snow from them?"
Danny, seeing the panic on the family's face, looked toward the pile of snow and got an idea. "Hang on, let me try something." Flying out into the hall, he looked at the pile of snow before he placed his hand on top and focused his cryokinesis. The snow was then encased in ice before Danny picked up the large load and carried it inside. "Shut the door!" was his whispered order and the king and queen quickly stepped out and shut the door.
Out in the hall, Anna came up the stairs and saw her parents in the hallway before running to them and hugging them.
Iduna smiled down at Anna and patted her on the head. "Enjoy your time out?"
Anna looked up and smiled. "Yep! We got a bunch of things while we were out."
Agnarr nodded. "That is good to hear. We should get the stuff into the kitchen so that the chefs can make us dinner."
Anna smiled at the thought of going to the kitchen so she might be able to get a treat but then she noticed that they were outside of her sister's room. Her smile dropped at the memory of her sister and gave a hopeful look to her parents. "Will Elsa come out to help?" Despite how they had grown apart during the last couple of years, she still loved her sister and still hoped for the day they could play together again.
Agnarr and Iduna looked at each other as they didn't know what to say to their youngest. It was Iduna that spoke up with a more cheerful tone.
"Your sister is right now getting some help with a problem that she has been having. And when she is able to fix this problem, she will be able to come out of her room more often and you will be able to play together again."
Anna gained a big smile as she moved to the door and cupped her hand around her mouth as she pressed them against the door. "Hurry up and fix whatever it is so we can play again. We can even build a snowman again!" she wasn't expecting any response other than what she had heard for the last few years, telling her to go away. What she got was
"...yeah. We can make Olaf again."
It was soft and could hardly be heard but the words brought a massive smile to Anna's face. With all this newfound energy, she ran down the hall toward the kitchen in order to help out with the groceries they brought.
Agnarr looked at his wife with a smile as that interaction was the most positive one their two daughters had in a while. He followed his youngest while Iduna walked back into the room. Once she was inside, she looked at the other two occupants and smiled as Elsa looked far more relieved than she had been in years.
Danny looked to the woman and waved sheepishly before pointing at the door. "Who was that?"
Elsa was the one to answer. "That was my sister, Anna. we haven't been able to play since we have been trying to hide my powers."
Danny crossed his arms as he looked at the girl. "Well, if you can get some of the things I teach you, that will change….um.." it was then that he realized that he didn't know her name. "Sorry but with everything that happened I don't even know your name. In fact, I didn't even give you mine. My name is Danny, Danny Phantom"
The two women realized that introductions hadn't been made and since he had given his name, it was only right that they follow suit.
In proper fashion, Elsa moved to stand next to her mother and awaited her turn
The queen bowed her head and curtsied as she began. "I am Queen Iduna, of Arendele."
Elsa waited a second before she crossed her leg, one in front of the other as she did a fancy curtsy as well. "I am Princess Elsa of Arendele, first in line for the throne."
Danny's mind paused as he heard this. This isn't the first time he had met royalty. Princess Dorthea, Prince Aragon, and Pairaiah Dark. though those meetings were anything but conventional. Not that this meeting was conventional but Dorathea was the only one that he had any cordial discussions with. The other two were fights to the death. It was then that he remembered what the man said about "their kingdom". He said the only thing he could think of, if he thought of it at all. "You're actual royalty?!"
End of chapter
1* this has nothing to do with the pandemic. I am not making fun of it. This is actually a reference to another Disney movie kingdom, with another princess that has magical powers. I took the idea from one of the many Disney theories there are
Ok, this idea popped in my head when I was listening to the Epic Orchestra of the Frozen soundtrack. I was reading a Danny phantom fic when I was listening to it and this came to mind.
I have not seen the second movie so I pulled the enchanted forest thing from online.
This has the potential to be a full story but I don't have any plans to push it forward any time soon. I had already thought that if this does become a full story, it would be more of a slice-of-life fic that goes into the first movie and make some original content for the characters.
This happened a couple of years after the trolls fix Anna but a few years before the parent's death. Just to give you an idea as to when in the Frozen universe this takes place.
A random thought I had when writing this was, "what if I made this a crossover of Danny phantom, Frozen, and Tangled. Hence why I put that reference early on. But since the Disney theories connect a lot of movies together, my mind would go all over the place if I went with all the theories
But who knows. As usual
Anyway, I am working on other fics. Such as
Secrets of the rookies -Naruto Au
A Legend's journey - pokemon
A fury's journey - how to train your dragon
One's inner dragon -Danny phantom
To change the fate of a clan - Naruto x Gargoyles
more than meets the eye - Transformers prime
Naruto Unleashed - Naruto x Star wars clone wars - the poll is still up
Effect of a seal - Naruto X Mass effect
Phantom in the moonlight - Danny phantom X my little pony
The shenanigans of a Kitsune - Ranma ½ X Naruto
Shinobi in the feudal era - Inuyasha X Naruto
Heroes of Legend - Legend of Zelda X Naruto
Usagi no Naruto - Zootopia X Naruto
And many more
I have a lot of stories and my mind goes everywhere. I am doing my best to go back to my older fics so please be patient. I ain't dead so neither are they.
So like usual
Flames will be ignored.
Criticism is accepted
Ideas are taken into account and considered
