Prompt: Ice Cream

"Ice cream!" Young Harry said, stamping his little feet on the ground.

"Shh Harry," Sirius said, picking up the toddler and placing a finger to his lips. "We don't want Uncle Moony to hear us, he said, 'no ice cream' and we don't want him to be mad, do we?"

"Uncie Moony not mad," Harry said in a rather contemplative manner despite his young age. "Uncie Moony hungy." An enormous grin crossed the little black-haired toddler's face and it reminded Sirius of the boy's late father, his best friend.

"If we are really quiet, we can leave and buy ice cream and then we'll bring back some for Uncle Moony. What do you say? Can you be quiet?" Sirius asked and chuckled when the little boy tensed his mouth shut and nodded furiously. "Okay, let's go then."

The pair crept to the door and just as Sirius gripped the handle, a voice came from the top of the stairs. "Just where do you two think you are going?"

Sirius looked up and saw Remus standing at the top of the stairs, his arms crossed.

"I do hope that you are not going for ice cream without me, are you?" Remus said with a gentle smile.

"We wouldn't think of it, right Harry?" Sirius said, nervously.

"Uncie Padfoot say be quiet and get ice cream!" Harry blabbed. "Uncie Padfoot say Uncie Moon mad!"

"Shh Harry!" Sirius blurted and turned red. "We were going to surprise you, that's all."

Remus laughed and grabbed his coat. "Come on then, it's Uncle Padfoot's treat, right Harry?"

Remus took Harry from Sirius and stepped out of the door, leaving a dumbfounded Sirius in his wake.
