Brooklyn and Paula were proud of being married, even though they were a gargoyle and a human. Paula still worked for Dr. Trowsky as a vet. Now that she lived at the castle, she was also the gargoyles' doctor too when they got injured. Her boss would come for the more serious stuff and often checked in with her.

Paula worked afternoons and early evenings at her job. That way she could spend some time with her husband and children before bedtime. And Brooklyn patrolled in the early evenings, if he was assigned to it.

Brooklyn had originally wanted a gargoyle mate, but it was so far away to go looking for a mate in another clan. But he had been willing to settle for even a human woman who accepted him for being who and what he was. Paula did at that.

One night, the two of them were just sitting by the fireplace in the library, enjoying each other's company. "Remember our wedding day?" Paula asked Brooklyn.

"How could I forget? It was the best day of our lives." he smiled in reply and kissed her.

Flashback

They both were nervous wrecks that night, but excited for it. They had been engaged for a year, but had gotten to know each other for a year too.

Paula had gotten a bridal shower the night before from all her female friends, while Brooklyn had a bachelor party from all his male friends.

Fox had helped Paula pick out her wedding dress a month prior and paid for it. She never could have afforded it on her own. Her parents had passed away when she was in her early 20s, and being an only child meant that her marriage to Brooklyn wasn't going to have parental problems. She was glad that he had a somewhat big family to support him. She wanted a big family. Fox also helped out Angela with a special dress as well.

David had specially ordered a tux for Brooklyn for his wedding. One that supported the wing holes in the back of it. There were other special tuxes for the male gargoyles as well.

The clan used to not make such big deals about mating ceremonies, but since Brooklyn was marrying a human, he was respecting the human part of tradition for his girl. He had seen many human weddings on TV, and longed for it to be him. Now it was.

Goliath was his Best Man. Elisa was Paula's Maid of Honor. They were having a more ordinary minister. Broadway and Angela would be holding Gabby and Tony during the ceremony.

The Great Hall had been gorgeously decorated for the wedding. The date was June 15th.

Elisa's family came. The mutates and some Labyrinth people came. Dr. Trowsky was there. Matt Bluestone came too. It was a reasonable amount of guests. There was definitely a huge cake for them all, among the other food there.

Brooklyn felt like he was sweating while waiting. "It's going to be alright, Brooklyn." Goliath tried to help him relax.

"I'm trying. This is just such a big occasion." Brook replied.

Then, the music started for the bride. Everyone stood up for Paula.

Brooklyn was enthralled by how she looked in her wedding dress. Hudson was walking her down the aisle, as she had no father or brother to do so. He gave a huge smile to her. All that mattered should have been them two. She smiled back at him.

Her hair was done up in a bun that also had her veil on it. Her dress was at the ankles instead of something that dragged. She had a big bouquet of flowers in her hand while she held onto Hudson.

When they got to the end of the aisle, Hudson handed her off to Brooklyn. Goliath and Elisa stood off to either side of them, Elisa taking her flowers.

Brooklyn and Paula now stood in front of the guests with the minister presiding. The guests were seated. The wedded couple joined their hands together.

"Tonight, we are gathered together in this company to celebrate the union of Brooklyn and Paula." the minster began. "To join two people together no matter the differences, love is special. To join together and let no one tell asunder. Brooklyn and Paula have written their own vows to each other." he said, and gave them their say.

They were both nervous, but were remaining strong.

"I, Brooklyn, of the Clan of Wyvern and Manhattan, Second in Command, promise to always love and cherish you, Paula. You have no idea how long I have waited for you to enter my life. My life was empty before you came into it. And I saw how good you were with my children. You will be the best mother for them. We strengthened each other and gave me hope. I always want to be there for you. I love you." Brooklyn said his vow.

"Now, Paula." the minister said.

"I, Paula, of New York, promise to always love and honor you, Brooklyn. You have been my best friend for two years and I always wanted a big family. Ever since my parents died, I had no one else, and I felt lonely too before you came along, aside from my job, which I enjoy. And I promise to always cherish your children as their mother too. I love you and them. You are all great gifts in my life."

Then the minister proceeded to the basic vows. The rings were given to each other. Brooklyn would wear a ring, but not on his patrols.

"I now give you Mr. and Mrs. Brooklyn of Clan Wyvern." the minister presented them.

The clan and guests all cheered and stood up clapping.

Then, there was some dancing that took place. The same room would be the party area. Brooklyn and Paula danced first and other couples joined in.

After the dancing, there was some dinnertime, and later, the cutting of the cake. They both fed each other a piece of cake.

Then there was more dancing. The couple even each danced while holding one of the babies too. Brooklyn danced with Gabrielle, and Paula with Tony.

Brooklyn even danced with the other females at the party and Paula danced with the other males. They had a fun time.

At the end of the party, David flew the couple up to Xanadu, where their honeymoon would be. Tony and Gabrielle came too. The couple wouldn't leave without them. Brooklyn didn't want to let them out of his sight for long. If they had been a little older, maybe he would have let the clan watch them. They would make due. The twins really loved their daddy.

They had a week and a half alone up at Xanadu. The place also reminded Brooklyn. "I didn't know it at the time, but this is the place where I discovered I was pregnant, or had started showing the first symptoms of it." he confessed.

"Yeah, a male wouldn't think something like that would happen to him, and sorry how it happened. But even I will do my best to make sure that never happens to you again." Paula kissed him.

They held each other. They were now alone up at the place. David would be back in a week and a half to get them. They had their phone number should anything happen.

(And everyone can guess the rest.)

Flashback end

The two of them went on relaxing into the night.

After dealing with Brooklyn's twins for two years, the clan was ready for some kids of their own. And even Angela didn't want to wait for the breeding year.

Dr. Trowsky agreed to help speed up things, and he would monitor it all wisely. Paula agreed to help him. She also wanted to have a new baby of her own too.

…..

Within weeks, the couples all agreed that they would have their own sort of 'breeding season.'

Angela was brought into heat with hormones. Broadway was glad to make love to her. This meant that she would end up with an egg in the end and it would still naturally take ten years to hatch, but it would be a more different hatch date than the usual 8th year of a decade.

With Puck and Alex's help, with Dr. Trowsky, both Paula and Elisa were also impregnated by Goliath and Brooklyn.

Once Brooklyn found out that Paula was pregnant, he was thrilled. "You know what kids, you're going to have a little brother or sister soon." he told his older twins.

Tony and Gabby just laughed and giggled with their daddy, not even understanding entirely at the moment, but he and Paula would try to help them understand that it was going to happen over the next many months.

During the time the clan was having its own breeding season, Demona was also going to become a mother too. Her employee, Yvonne had also truly conceived too.

Yvonne was sick a lot at the moment. She had a lot of morning sickness, but it was anything but that. It happened anytime of day.

Dr. Roland gave her anti-nausea pills and such to help as much as needed. It helped some, but she still had it bad.

Demona had been pregnant so long ago, but still remembered the sickness symptoms somewhat. She was glad that she wasn't going through it again, but she was thrilled she was an expectant mother though. This time, she would get her new child. She still wanted one from Brooklyn.

At eight weeks along, the embryo was still really small, but noticeable on an ultrasound. The small body looked like it was turning into a gargoyle even at this stage. It had wings and a tail already. It also had a beak forming.

Yvonne was shocked that the baby she carried looked almost nothing like the female that she knew.

"The baby looks quite different from you, Demona." she said.

"I know, and I wouldn't be surprised that it does. You see, the father is more different than how I look. It's just taking on more of his traits. Even from two year old sperm, his seed was still good to use." Demona admitted.

"I have seen the red one of the clan, from the train rescue in the paper. You mean, he's the father?" Yvonne asked.

"Yes, he is. He'll find out soon enough." Demona said.

"He was a sperm donor?"

"Yes, at the time."

…..

Paula, Angela, and Elisa were all about five weeks along and not feeling their best either. They were three weeks behind Demona's pregnancy. But two of the babies would be born at near the same time frame. Angela would lay an egg in five and a half months, but there would be no welcoming a baby for some time yet.

Over the pregnancies, Goliath, Brooklyn, and Broadway were all very protective and watchful over their mates. They tried to be there as much as they could, but there were the girls' mood swings to deal with.

They would often hear, "This is your fault! You did this to me!"

The males knew that they sometimes had to keep their distance from them when they were going through those mood swings. But Brooklyn knew it all too well, as he had gone through it before. It was a little easier for him to comfort his mate when he had known what she was going through.

Goliath was sometimes just unsure how to comfort Elisa when she was feeling hard on herself. He would ask if she needed anything. He did his best.

Broadway was the same. He didn't know what to do either, other than try to offer hugging or food.

It was hard on all the females to go through it, but it would be worth it in the end.

….

Angela went into labor first with her egg. It was a big one. It was laid in the rookery. She was only pregnant for six months, like any female gargoyle. The egg wouldn't be expected to hatch for ten years yet, but Broadway and Angela had done what they could to become parents for right now. The egg would just have to be kept warm and protected for the incubation time. Dr. Trowsky also planned on examining it with bright lights in time off and on to see about an embryo and when it turned into a fetus, in there.

Angela had laid her egg on the full moon in March. But the actual birthday would still be a while yet.

Elisa and Paula still had three more months to go. Their babies looked like gargoyles, that was sure on ultrasound. Elisa's child looked more human-like, but with gargoyle traits, the wings, tail, and feet. Paula's child had gargoyle looks too, but with a beak and horns. It was definitely Brooklyn's.

Yvonne's pregnancy was the same. A gargoyle child was on the way. It also had a beak and horns too. Demona still had never told Brooklyn that he was going to be a father again, to a child that was combined with their genes. This one she would raise herself. She didn't want him to know.

…..

Months later, in the month of June, all three pregnant women began to get antsy about going into labor with their babies. They wanted their mates to be with them as much as possible. They were so scared. Well, Yvonne didn't have a mate, but Demona was with her.

Paula and Elisa were going to have to have c-sections too. The gargoyle babies just had body parts that were not going to fit through their pelvis. The wings would be impossible to not get stuck.

Movements could be felt, and they had healthy heartbeats. The moms had strange cravings that it was hard for the others to understand, but Brooklyn understood it.

The babies were scheduled for c-sections on different days. The parents wanted them to have different birthdays if possible.

"Have you guys discussed names?" Fox asked the happy couples.

"If we have a daughter, we'll use the other names that Brooklyn had thought of before." Paula replied. "Kayla."

"And Randolph for a boy." Brooklyn replied. "That way there's a chance they can still be used."

"What have you and Goliath talked of?" Fox asked.

"We thought that Rebecca would fit a girl, and Nolan for a boy." Elisa replied.

"Broadway and Angela still have lots of time to think about names." Paula stated.

"Yep. I feel bad that they can't celebrate with us, but they'll still get to have child experience while waiting." Brooklyn declared.

Elisa went into labor first, on the 12th.

Dr. Trowsky came and delivered the baby. Paula helped him.

The resulting baby was a girl. Baby Rebecca. She had Elisa's human looks, almost like when she had been a gargoyle years ago. Elisa was glad her pregnancy was now over, despite that she would be in recovery for a couple of months. Of course, so would Paula when her time came.

Goliath was thrilled that he had another daughter. The clan still needed more girls. And Angela had another sister. Sometimes it was hard to imagine that Gabby was her sister when they looked nothing alike.

The clan admired Rebecca. She was like the spitting image of Elisa as a gargoyle.

A week earlier, Yvonne had gone into labor and Demona was by her side. Dr. Roland ended up doing a c-section on her to deliver the child.

It was a baby girl. Brooklyn had another daughter. She had Brooklyn's beak and horns, but she had Demona's coloring. Her hair was white though. Her wings were blue and purple as well, like her mother.

Yvonne marveled at the baby gargoyle and still wanted to be in her life, but the child would not call her Mom. That was Demona's department. She now had the child she wanted from Brooklyn, and this one was not going to be taken away from her.

Demona named the child Ziana. It meant 'bold and brave.' She also wanted something new and different.

She would definitely be raising her daughter to not trust humans. Even though there might be one human involved in her life, or two. Dr. Roland would continue to be her doctor as needed. And being told of the clan one day could also put her at odds with them, as she was Demona's daughter. But more than likely, she might one day want to meet her father.

Paula went into labor on 24th of June. She too had a c-section.

The new baby was a boy. He became Nolan. Goliath and Elisa didn't mind that they took the boy name from them. He just didn't seem like a Randolph.

He was a spitting image of Brooklyn, but he had Paula's hair color. He had five fingers, like Tony did because of the human DNA.

The clan now had four gargoyle kids. Three of them were half human, but looked more gargoyle. Gabby was the only pure gargoyle child in the clan at the moment. Tony, Rebecca, and Nolan all had human mixed DNA. And across town, Gabby and Angela had another sister too. Gabrielle looked the most like her though, with Brooklyn's face and horns.
