For a long time Itachi had been someone she admired deeply.
He was always so calm ,cool and strong .He was also kind and caring towards those he loved , especially towards his little brother.
The first time when met him she was playing with a few friends of hers .On spotting him she had recognized him
as an Uchiha with the Uchiha fan prominent on his shirt .So she had invited him to join them but he had not been
interested in playing with them as he had to train ,for a few seconds she was sad at the rejection before she let her sadness go and
instead decided to admire him for taking his training serious even though he was only 5 years old.
She turned towards her friends to play with them ,but it seemed her friends were not as okay as her with his decision and tried to stop him and they insulted him though she tried to stop them . When they started picking up the rocks ,she protested loudly to make them stop but they did not listen to her and she could only watch in horror as they threw the rocks at him though that quickly turned to amazement as she saw him dodge the rocks and then deflect the rocks without even turning back once.
She was amazed by him and thinking back now that probably was the moment her crush on him had started .
On returning home she had told her mom about what had happened , her mother had a startled expression on her face as she asked her "Are you sure he had an Uchiha fan on his back".
She had replied immediately "Yes, mom i saw it on his back with my own eyes"
Her mother said nothing for a second before saying "Its just surprising that a boy so young would have it on his back"
confused she had asked her "Whats so surprising about it?".
Her mother looked towards her and ruffled her hair as she said" I forgot that you don't know." "Don't know what?", she quickly asked .Her mother said nothing as she settled her chin on her
hand as she hummed ,wondering whether to tell her or not. She shot her mother an annoyed glare as she remained quiet , though her glare only made her mother laugh as she said " fine I'll tell you. Only Uchiha who can perform the Grand Fireball Jutsu are allowed to wear the Uchiha symbol on their clothes when they go out of the clan's grounds".
"It's one of the few traditions we kept even after the village was formed" her mother said, she had a sad smile on her face as she spoke about the clan she had left to be with the man she loved.
Izumi felt bad for making her mother sad by making her talk about her former clan when she knew her mother found it hard to talk about them .She was sometimes just too curious so she could not help but ask her mother , after all she was only 5 years old. She was still a child.'But Itachi-kun's also only 5' , her traitorous mind supplied.
"But Itachi-kun wore the symbol outside the clan, does that mean he can do the jutsu already" she asked her mother who simply nodded her head before going to the kitchen leaving her to to
her in her thoughts. Itachi-kun's so strong , he can already do a C-rank jutsu. I should follow him as an example when i join the academy so that i can be a strong ninja like my parents. With that resolve
Izumi walked towards her mother intending to ask her to start her training early and she wanted to make it up too her mother for making her sad .
She would train really hard and become strong. After all she needed to be strong to protect everyone she loved.
