It had by now been 48 days of peace and silence. Canon divergence starting at the end of s1, based on: What if Steve didn't have his random heel face turn so Nancy and Jonathan wasn't interrupted on the couch before fighting the Demogorgon? What if Jonathan went after Nancy at the hospital? And what about the actual fallout from the events of that week, as depicted in the newspaper articles at the end of the season?
