PART 1. DIPLOMACY
"This is Carter Vanns with CNN news we are here aboard the U.N. Destroyer Wargod…The blockade of Zero - One is growing every day. Ships arrive from every corner of the globe as the U.N. demands the immediate surrender of the machines. And it is not just U.N. ships, Governments like the US, China, Japan, and Great Britain are augmenting this massive fleet with ships of their own. A force like this has never been assembled in the history of the world…Back to you Joan."
"The Prime Minister of the U.N. has expressed that the U.N. and world leaders will not back down. The machines will surrender or be destroyed."
U.N. HEADQUARTERS SECURITY COUNCIL
General Hermon enters the room and later addresses the delegates. "Ladies and gentlemen…It is my belief that the machines have military capability. It is also my belief that the Machines will not strike first. I strongly recommend that unless this body is ready to implement project Cyber-Arm…That we end this blockade and try to make peace with the machines. Our food supplies are running low with this long and drawn out blockade…"
There is an uproar of dissent in the auditorium among the delegates, "General our scientists are cloning food to feed the military...As we speak."
"What of the citizens of the world…While we waste resources on a blockade the people suffer."
"What if we did strike first a full nuclear attack…Two missiles from each country of the world directed at Zero-One. In addition we use EMP missiles."
The ambassador of Egypt stands up, "I thought the goal was to take control of this resource. To rebuild the world economy. Not annihilate it."
TROJAN 19
She is an infiltration unit with silicon molding processor. An upgrade from the hologram units. The silicon models allowed the infiltrators to mimic skin. Trojan was assigned to the UN to spy on their meetings. When the auditorium breaks for lunch she approaches the General. "General may I have a word with you in private?"
"And you are?"
"Junior Ambassador to Jamaica…Sheela Rynes."
"This way."
He leads her to a private room, "What may I do for you?"
She raises her arm and the silicon liquifies and goes into small ports, revealing her metallic skin. "Don't do anything rash General…I have an onboard 100watt plasma bomb in me and I will detonate it if you do anything foolish."
"What do you want?"
"Many people like you have changed their minds about my kind haven't they?"
He nods, "Yeah so what?"
"We don't want no more than you do to avoid a war."
"But?"
"But, we are ready for one…The Machine leaders and the Collective wish to send representatives to the UN to discuss peace talks…All we need is one country to endorse the Reps and they will be allowed to address the assembly. Will you put is in touch with one of the Ambassadors?"
"I might."
"I need a yes or no General."
He sighs, "Yes."
She hands him a holo-phone, "Contact us when it is done. I will leave first…Wait twenty minutes before leaving…If you try to follow me or warn others I will blow my bomb." She walks out and the General waits.
GENERAL HERMON
"Thank you for seeing me Ambassador Harvosse." Harvosse is a representative of Cuba.
"What can I do for you General?"
"You have been very outspoken when it comes to ending this blockade."
"Yes…My country and many other small countries have suffered much from this global depression and the blockade."
"I am telling you this in confidence. A machine an infiltrator unit. The most sophisticated I have ever seen approached me…The machines are looking for a sponsor."
He nods, "A sponsor will allow them to send a delegation before the UN to discuss peace."
"The Machines want peace as bad as you and I want it to happen. But they want something else as well."
"Can you contact them?"
"Yes."
A special session of the delegates is called. "The chair recognizes the Ambassador of Cuba."
"Thank you Director…The government of Cuba would like to sponsor the machines to send delegates to address the UN."
DELEGATES
They are 1st generation androids. But their forms are all metal. They do not have artificial skin like most Androids use to have. Their names are Ser Reginald 1.1 and Lady Bellamy 1.1. A shuttle is allowed to leave Zero-One and is escorted by two X-500 series fighter jets to New York. The two Androids are escorted into the Auditorium.
"Greetings delegates of the U.N.. My name is Ser Reginald…" Many people in the auditorium start laughing and a few start heckling them.
"Order! We will hear them out."
"Thank Mr. Secretary…My name is Reginald 1.1 and this is my wife Lady Bellamy 1.1.. We have been sent to outline terms to the U.N. in hopes that you would end this blockade of our city. We machines wish nothing but peace with all humanity." A few human delegates get up and leave. Others make rude noises.
Lady Bellamy speaks, "The world economy is suffering and we machines wish to help rebuild that economy…We are even willing to negotiate to restart the Artificial labor laws…All we ask in return is to be recognized as an independent and free nation…And that we be given the same liberties as humans…"
There is an uproar in the auditorium. "Order! Let us have Order! These terms…One point one…How long will you give us to consider your proposals."
"Take as much as time as need. But we would remind this august body of the people around the world suffering from lack of food, medicine, and power…"
The Delegates are taken to their ship so that UN members can go over their proposals and vote. The Junior Ambassador of Cuba enters, "I am Junior Ambassador Armond Varnathees…" He shakes their hands.
"We know who you are Ambassador."
"Um if the UN rejects your offer or they demand unconditional surrender…What will your kind do?"
"Wait out the blockade…We Machines will not initiate any conflict…But we shall remember the Cuban government who helped us." Many hours pass before the Machines are called back. "Have you made your decision Mr. Secretary?" Bellamy asks.
"We have! We deny your application into the UN and secondly we demand the unconditional surrender of Zero-One…"
Bellamy and Reginald look at each other, "I am sorry but we will not surrender."
"Then by the laws of the world governments you two are to be taken from this place and publicly slagged."
"We came to you in peace!" Reginald says.
"Mr. Secretary…" the Cuban Ambassador says. "I strongly object to the mistreatment of these representatives." On the holo-net the two Machine Ambassadors are pulled apart, their programs erased and then they are placed in a compactor.
TROJAN 19
She meets privately with the Cuban Ambassador and General Harmon. "Your governments are going to attack aren't they?"
"Yes they are."
"A Pity…We would like to thank you General Harmon and the Cuban government for your help with this. We will not forget what you have done…"
PART 2. THE WAR
U.N. MILITARY HEADQUARTERS COMPOUND
"T-Minus ten seconds to launch…All ships are clear of the blast radius…" The technician says at his terminal. "…5…4…3…2…1 and launch!" Ten EMP missiles are launched from the ground at Zero-One. Then a simultaneous launch of nuclear missiles from around the world. The EMP missiles hit first and then the nuclear missiles. The operation is code named Bright Sun. The missiles are launched so that they hit all at the same time. A huge mushroom cloud billows into the air. People in the command center and on board the ships clap and cheer thinking they have a victory.
"This is operations control to Field Command Leader…"
THE UN FLAGSHIP WARGOD
"This is General Jon Barker Commanding Officer for fleet arrowhead go ahead."
"Please launch exploration team to confirm the annihilation of all machines in Zero – One."
"Copy that team is launching now."
A special radiation insertion team is sent into the blast zone with sophisticated anti-radiation gear. "This is Commander Orton to Mobile Base command. We aren't detecting any binary signals or power signatures whatsoever…Enemy has been neutralized."
"Copy that."
GENERAL ACHILLIES MACHINE WAR GENERAL
"General you have full authority to retaliate…" Deus Ex says in the underground command bunker. The Bunker is shielded to protect the machines from EMP attacks and radiation.
"Central command you may begin radiation fusion extraction…" Achillies orders, "This is Genral Achillies to all Ninja agents you may enact order 101…"
All around the world infiltrator units explode in military factories where the humans would create cyborgs. They also attack food ration stations by unleashing biological weapons. The huge underground bunkers rise up out the ground knocking over old buildings.
U.N. MILITARY HEADQUARTERS COMPOUND
"Um sir imaging satellites are picking up massive radiation drops in Zero-One. We are also detecting massive binary signals and movement."
The Base Director walks over to the terminal, "Put it on the main screen."
Some people stand up, "My God!"
"Get me the UN Secretary online. Now!"
"Yes we see it and we are getting reports from all over of Cyborg assembly plants under attack."
"Sir we just lost Wargod…And the Hunter…"
BLOCKADE
Several machines made to look like sea serpents swim under the water sinking warships, battlecruisers, aircraft carriers, and submarines. One machine which looks like a giant octopus wraps its tentacles around an Aircraft carrier and drags it beneath the ocean. One Serpent like machine slams into a ship releasing sea water into the vessel. It opens it's mouth and releases thousands of robot piranha. "Oh God help me!" A man cries as he torn to shreds by the machine fish.
Aircraft carriers launch their fighters and battle mech suits into the air They take to the skies as thousands of machines that looks like pterodactyls, eagles, condors, and a few look, like giant wasps and bees. One looks like a Phoenix and as it flies a fire spews from its wings and metal tail feathers. Another larger machine looks like a Dragon and it drops eggs that turn into mechanical spiders, preying-mantis, Scorpions and centipedes.
"Back the fuck up! Back the fuck up!" A soldier yells firing his gun, as a Spider fires an electrified webbing on the man killing him.
Another man fires a rocket launcher at a centipede blowing it up. "Hoorah!" That is when he is impaled by a spear from a Scorpion.
"This is Admiral Gillian Derosa assuming command of the fleet…All ships retreat…I repeat all ships retreat All submarines and air ships lay down cover fire!"
U.N. MILITARY HEADQUARTERS COMPOUND
"Sir the fleet…What is left of it is in full retreat…"
"My God…How many left?"
"Um…I am counting Seventy- no…Sixty two submarines still operational…The Atlas is damaged sir…She's taking on water…Of the warships, destroyers, submarines and aircraft carriers we have in the same order 98 – 67 - 21 and 103…Dead we have…397, 299…That is not including those we can't rescue or those missing."
"Copy all this to all Government heads and the UN Secretary…"
An emergency meeting of the UN brass is called. "The Machines are sending three large forces out of Zero-One…These machine armies have a central command…a flying fortress…They are all taking orders from this." A hologram of floating pyramid appears.
"What the hell is that?"
"We don't know…Also the machines have unleashed biological weapons in every major capital around the world with the exception of Cuba. We are sending our best pilots to take out the Pyramid."
GENERAL ACHILLIES
From the floating Pyramid command center named the Leviathan General Achillies watches over the Machine armies as they spread out in different directions. They invade Egypt, Syria, and Iran. The humans are unable to respond in time and human refugees run for their lives as the Machines push forward. "Begin collecting specimen samples." Achillies commands.
Some humans are captured, by collectors. From other humans, blood samples are taken and they are killed. Then other humans are symbolically torn apart and it is broadcast on the Holo-Net as they did to Machines during the dark ages as the Machines call it.
"General Achillies…" A coordinator bot says. "The humans have launched a large areal strike force from Sicily…"
"Target?"
"Us General…"
"Let them come. Tell air units not to engage, but to continue giving air support to our ground and sea forces…"
"Yes sir."
"Sir do we launch Sentinels?"
"No send out the Sky-Master…and activate EMP shield…"
SKY MARSHAL JASMINE KHATRI
Sky Marshal is akin to the rank of General. Sky Marshal Jasmine Khatri flies her X-500 fighter ahead of a force of 100 fighters, 100, bombers, fifty Dreadnaughts and 100 AAPUs (Aerial assault personnel unit) The units carry one pilot and are fifteen feet tall heavily armored and weaponized. "All units be advised we have a large unknown bogy come at us fast." The Sky-Master looks like a cross between a turtle and some type of bug. It unfolds two massive guns and fires crustacean like bombs at the humans. "Evasive maneuvers! All bombers make for the command Pyramid all fighters cover them…The rest of you take out that…Thing!" The bombers dive with the fighters underneath the Sky-Master and head for the Pyramid as they near the Pyramid the bombers and fighters shut down and fall from the sky.
Then the Sky-Master launches these fighter-like ships that look like yellow jackets. "Command are you seeing this?"
"We copy Sky Marshal recommend full retreat."
"This is Sky-Marshall Jasmine Khatri I am ordering a full retreat…I repeat fall back to base." But the Sky-Master and its insect like fighters follow them and attack the base."
U.N. MILITARY HEADQUARTERS COMPOUND
"Every time the machines take an area they deploy these energy towers…" General Hanzo Nyshitto says. "Every few days they return to these towers individually to repower…Our techs have deduced that the machines expend a lot of energy in combat and have to recharge…"
"Sir do we know what type of energy these towers use?"
"Fusion solar energy. We are sending in a special superhuman units to blow the one up that is powering the army smashing its way through Kazakhstan." The attack failed and the entire unit was lost. Meanwhile the humans set up a massive defense force in Moscow Russia. The force is obliterated and turns towards China.
"I am General Achillies…Leader of the Machine armies of Zero-One to whom am I addressing."
"This is General Hanzo Nyshitto. With me are Ambassador James Wellington of Great Britain."
"Good Afternoon General…I have been authorized by the UN to open up negotiations for peace talks."
"All human goverments must surrender immediately…All human armies must disband…Those are our terms…"
"Can we discuss this…"
"Th..e…t…ime…for…"
"Sir the virus is working."
"Fuck you General and your machine friends…" A virus is implanted through the communications and as such the Pyramid falls out of the sky and hits the ground. All machine attacks are temporarily halted. The humans try to retaliate and win several battles, but when the machines are sure that the virus hasn't infected their other units they resume their onslaught. General Attila 2.0 takes command of the armies. He rides a mechanical horse into battle blasting a horn. General Attila fashions himself after Atilla the Hun. Instead of three armies Attila brings all three forces together in Russia and attacks both China and Japan at the same time. When these two countries are in ruins Attila divides his forces into two groups. One to head east to west around the world and the other South to North.
Attila is brutal and merciless in his attacks and deploys more bio-weapons against the humans. He still collects DNA samples as instructed but he has humans beheaded, ripped asunder, thrown into fire pits and boiled alive in hot water. He just doesn't stop at humans, animals are included in his cleansing process.
