RED CODES
VICTORIA
Victoria pulls up in front of an upscale high, rise French restaurant driving a red, BMW convertible. She hands her keys to the valet and heads up in the elevator carrying a case. When she gets off the Matradee greets her, "Bon après-midi Manquer. Comment puis-je vous aider?"
"Mon nom est Victoria. Je suis ici pour voir Merovigian."
The Matradee is a program written by Merovingian, "One moment. Please wait here."
She doesn't have to wait long and is escorted to his private table by two albino twins. Merovingian stands up, "Welcome…Madam…Please be seated. This is my wife, Persephone."
"A pleasure."
Persephone is actually the former assassin bot Ronin. She fell in love with Merovingian and downloaded her program into the Matrix, taking on the persona Persephone. She has long black hair, a voluptuous form and red lips. Her eyes change color to reflect her mood. Red for angry, green for impatient, white for a great idea, pink for jealousy, and so on. She wears a white dress and carries a purse with an extension code, which allows her to carry an assortment of weapons.
"A pleasure." She says.
"So Victoria what may I do for you."
"I need to purchase some information…I will let you have this." Victoria opens the case causing both Merovingian and Persephone to gasp. "Provided you can give me what I want."
"Is that…"
She closes the case, "Yes…Source code…In liquid form…You can reshape anything or anyone in the Matrix you wish." She slides the case across the table along with a phone. "The case is sealed…No one can open it without the code…Try and boom the case and all its contents will explode…I will give you the code when you call me with the information I require."
"What information do you require?"
"The Key Maker…I need to know where he is. Can you do that?"
Persephone whispers into his ear, but Merovingian raises his hand, "Alright we have a deal…I will call you on this phone when I have the information."
"A pleasure doing business with you." Victoria stands up and leaves the restaurant. When she gets downstairs the Valet rushes her car. She drives off heading to the warehouse district and enters a large, run down, one story, building. When she stops her car it lowers into the floor to an underground base in red code form.
She gets out of her car and walks through the base to the main control room. "I have made contact with Merovingian…He has taken the price and will contact us when he has the info."
"Give me the Phone." Red Leader says with a voice that echoes when she talks, "I have another job for you…The Oracle runs an orphanage for potential Red Pills…" She hands Victoria a piece of paper, "Watch her place…The One will come and when he does bring the Oracle to me alive and kill the One."
ZION – ARES
Ares had accepted his online computer name as his identity, but he still struggled with some of the things Arc told him. "Would you have dinner with me tonight?" He asks after a training session.
"Um…I'm sorry I have duty tonight and the Hermes has to prepped for launch. Sorry…" She walks away at a fast pace.
Ares had developed a friendship with Live Wire, "Tell me about the Captain…Why is she so…"
"Cold?"
"I wasn't going to say that…But okay."
He sighs, "I consider you to be a friend so don't tell her I told you. Arc is the best of us all…She was Second in Command to her late husband."
"Oh. What happened to him?"
"He died…As you know the Captain likes to collect things…So we stopped at this old style movie theater and they found some pretty cool stuff. Then the Sentinels came out of nowhere…Captain Rigs died…Arc was pregnant and lost their child…"
"Wow."
"Yeah so don't tell her I told you…Or bring it up."
The next day Arc and Mode come to get Ares. "Something wrong?"
"No I am taking you to see the Oracle." They board her ship and Ares is allowed to pilot it as he had completed his pilot training courses.
"This is the Hermes to Zion Control…Permission to disembark."
"Permission granted Hermes and safe travels."
"Copy that."
The fly up the main tunnel then they take a side tunnel and head to broadcasting range. When they reach the area the ship is shut down. Arc, Ares, Blade, Delta, and Spade who replaced the fallen officer Binary. The enter the Matrix in the Resistance controlled apartment building. They go downstairs to the garage and take a car.
"Wow." Ares says.
"What?"
He looks at Arc, "It feels so different from the simulation."
"The Matrix has that affect…Remember who you are."
They drive for nine blocks and stop at another apartment building. "Keep the car running…Ares come with me."
They go upstairs in an elevator, "So tell me about this Oracle."
"For everything I know about her, there are a hundred things I don't know. She helped many of us realize the truth of the Matrix."
"And she doesn't want to leave?"
They get off on the fifteenth floor, "I asked her once. She said that she can do more good inside the Matrix."
When they reach the door. A woman opens it, "Welcome Arc, Ares…This way, the Oracle will be with you momentarily."
Meanwhile Victoria and her Red Codes move in. "Get down!" Blade yells as their car is shot up.
Ares walks through a doorway with a bead curtain doorway. "Almost done…" An elderly woman says wearing an apron and a flower dress. She has curly black hair and wears glasses, she stands up, takes an oven-mitten, and removes a batch of cookies from the oven. "Smell good don't they?"
"Yes they do…I love the smell of fresh baked cookies."
"I'd ask you to sit down, but your not going to. And don't worry about the vase."
He frowns looking around, "What vase?" He bumps into the vase and hits the floor breaking.
"That vase."
"I'm sorry I didn't…" He looks at her then the broken vase, "…How did you know?"
She smiles, "Oh what's gonna bake your noodle later on is…Would you still have broken if I hadn't said anything?"
He stares at her and she him, "You're in love aren't you?" He smiles, "Love can be a distraction…Blind us to our true purpose in life."
He sighs, "You mean being the one?"
"Are you the one?"
"There are two parts of me at war…One part wants to believe and the other part has doubts."
She nods and points to the sign above the door, "Do you know what that means?"
Ares looks up and then shakes his head, "No."
"Its Latin…It means know thyself. The secret of life and destiny is that no one can tell you who are you…No one can tell you that you are the one…You know it on the inside…So the Question is…what is on the inside of you Ares?"
Before he can answer an explosion shakes the apartment and Red Codes burst in. Woman and children start screaming. "Forget them! Find the Oracle and the One!" Victoria screams.
"Arc run!" Blade yells. He had fought his way upstairs.
As the bullets fly the Red Codes phase to keep from being hurt. That is when Seraph appears and fights the Red Codes single handedly. He blocks one attack and kicks another Red Code into the wall. That is when Victoria leaps at Seraph in a flying kick. Seraph ducks and does a spin kick. She leans back and they trade punches, kicks, jabs, sidekicks, blocks, and even a few headbutts. As they fight Arc commands Ares to grab the Oracle and escape out the kitchen window.
Before Arc can follow a red Code grabs her and throws her through the wall. As she flies backwards Arc flips pulls out her guns and shoots at the Rogue Program. The Red Code walks towards him code phasing.. She throws her guns to the side as a woman screams because of her sudden appearance. Arc leaps up smashing through the ceiling and into the apartment above.
But before the Red Code can follow, the screaming woman turns into an Agent and starts fighting the Red Code. Meanwhile Arc runs across the roofs of the buildings following Ares as he runs across the ground carrying the Oracle. "Put me down…I can run on my own." The Oracle says.
Back at her apartment Seraph fights Victoria to a standstill, as they seem to be evenly matched. The match comes to an end when the Agent intervenes. Victoria uses the opportunity to escape and find the Oracle, leaving Seraph to fight the agent. He knocks the agent out with a spin kick and goes after Victoria.
"I can take care of myself…The two of you should get out of here." The Oracle says to Arc and Ares.
"I am not leaving you until you are safe." Arc says. That is when a car driven by Captain Maul shows up. Maul is Japanese and Captain of the Hovercraft Reaver.
"Get in!"
Just as they get in Victoria shows up. She merges into a car and starts to chase them with Seraph who steals a motorcycle and chases her. Victoria unleashes the Red Code and turns the car into a tank. "She's got a tank! Where did she get a tank? Who is this bitch?" Maul yells driving. They watch as the cannon spins around and fires at Serpah. As the cycle explodes Seraph leaps off the bike and onto the tank.
He rips the top off the tank and is kicked in the face by Victoria. As Seraph goes flying off the tank. The tank's cannon fires at the car and flips it over sideways. The car flips five times and stops on it's roof. Victoria stops her tank and gets out. She shoots at the One. "No!" Arc yells diving in front of Ares.
"Arc, NO!"
Seraph fly kicks Victoria in the back and grabs the Oracle. "You must leave now!" He runs up an alley and uses a special key to go through one of the backdoors in the Matrix.
