And I hope you guys are ready for some changes in things because the thing is every dimension is similar in many ways but very different in others if you know what I mean

Chapter 2 A whole new world
(Just a heads up here, the main Sonic characters will be severely altered and modified to sort of have that "Nebula the hedgehog" and "Babylon Skyhawk" type of flair, thought I am NOT copying their work here if that's what your wondering)
(Dimension 2772, unknown location, 1 day after Dash's arrival)
Dash was currently laying in a soft bed, still out cold from the fall out of the tunnel of energy that he was thrust into, he was sleeping peacefully until he slowly regained consciousness and grunted in pain
"UUUUH, what the" Dash muttered before his vision came into focus and he saw a young, white tiger girl no more than eight years old staring down at him with a stuffed bear toy in her arms, wearing a red and black outfit and skirt with boots that are the same color
"Huh" Dash muttered
"Your awake…PAPA, PAPA HE'S AWAKE" The girl yelled, soon enough four more people came into the room, one was a male hawk with light blue feathers wearing light brown pants and a white shirt with brown shoes he looked about eleven years old, the third was a hedgehog girl who looked thirteen with black fur and red on her hair and ember eyes wearing a purple shirt and baggy, blue pants with brown boots, the fourth was a male jackal who looked ten years old he has brown fur with white trimmings wearing a white hoodie jacket with blue pants and white and red shoes and the last one who looked much older than the others was a dragon of white scales in what looked like robes
"I see our unknown guest is finally awake" The dragon said
"We were starting to wonder when you would wake up" The hedgehog girl told Dash
"Oh, my head" Dash muttered as he sat up
"Hey, hey, easy mister you hit your head pretty hard when you came out of that…WHATEVER it was" The hawk said
"Where, where am I" Dash asked
"You're in our home" The dragon answered as he removed the curtains of the room to shin sunlight into it outside was a BEAUTIFUL valley filled with green vegetation and a small village, wherever Dash was it was on a large hill overlooking the valley, it was all very feudal Japan-looking very elegant and beautiful, so peaceful
"Wow" Dash muttered as he got to his feet and noticed that the top side of his body was bare showing his chest and abdomen
"How did I get here" Dash asked
"We brought you here, you fell out of the sky" The little tiger girl answered
"What's your name" The dragon asked
"I'm…I'm Dash the hedgehog" Dash answered
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance Dash, though I wish you didn't have to fall out of the sky to have us meet, my name is Zen and these are my kids" Zen introduced himself
"I'm Bella, that's Joey" The female hedgehog pointed to the male jackal
"Hey" Joey greeted Dash
"Keith" Bella continued, pointing to the hawk
"What's up" Keith asked
"And that's Betty" Bella continued, pointing to the white tiger girl
"Hello" Betty said with a hint of shyness
"Your…kids" Dash asked Zen
"We're adopted" Bella said
"OH" Dash muttered
"So, Dash what happened, what was that thing you came out of" Joey asked Dash
"Questions can wait, you must be hungry Dash" Zen said, Dash's stomach then growled, confirming that he was indeed hungry
"Y-yeah" Dash said, Zen then helped Dash out of the bed
"Then come along, we'll get that belly of yours filled" Zen told him as he helped Zen walk with the kids behind them
(After Zen cooked something to eat)
"MMM, Zen this is the best meal I've had in a long time, thank you" Dash thanked Zen
"Dad's the best cook in the valley" Joey said
"Joey likes to exaggerate a bit, there are plenty of other cooks in the valley that are just as good as I am" Zen said
"Still thank you for the meal" Dash repeated
"You are quite welcome…now, if your feeling up to it why don't you tell us how you came to be here" Zen asked Dash who paused for a second or two before he answered
"I remember…falling through the wormhole…then landing face first into the ground then…I passed out" Dash answered
"That was a wormhole" Bella asked, shocking her, Joey, Keith and Betty
"Yeah and…WAIT A MINUTE, WHERE ARE THE EMERALDS" Dash asked the kids
"Emeralds, you mean Chaos emeralds" Zen asked
"Yeah, did you find them when you found me" Dash asked
"No, we didn't find anything else other than that sword with you" Joey answered, pointing to the sword the Chaos emeralds gave him and with it was the shoulder armor along with the upper half of his robes, his necklace and his wrist ring which were all seating on a nearby desk
"Some of your clothes were dirty so we washed them, I hope that's alright" Zen asked
"Uh, yeah sure" Dash muttered, still trying to process what was happening
"Mister Dash…where are you from" Betty asked
"Um, that's a LITTLE hard to explain" Dash answered
"Regale us" Zen answered, Dash sighed before he started his tale
(After the tale is over)
Zen, Bella, Joey, Keith and Betty were all taken back by Dash's tale they quite frankly didn't know how to process this but the most shocked of them all was Dash, according to the four kids there were no such things as the Psycho fighters, there was no great destruction and there were no Freedom fighters or even an Eggman empire, so Dash could only come up with two solutions, one, he was sent into the past or two, he was in another dimension one where the Psycho fighters don't exist and neither does he
(Dimensional and time travel is some weird shit)
"That's…that's a lot to take in" Joey said
"It's all true" Dash said
"So…you were brought HERE from an alternate dimension by these Chaos emeralds that are originally from your slice of reality" Bella asked
"Yes" Dash answered
"Incredible" Zen muttered
"And you were whooshed away to this dimension by your worlds Chaos emeralds, what do they look like exactly" Keith asked
"They're orange in color with a number of black stars on them" Dash asked, Betty then ran to get something from a nearby desk and brought it to Dash
"This them" Betty asked as Dash looked over the paper Betty got for him, they did have emeralds, but they were completely different from the one's that he is familiar with
"No, that's not my world Chaos emeralds" Dash answered
"Then…where are they" Joey asked
"Well if they didn't land with me when I came out of the tunnel…then they must have scattered themselves" Dash said
"Excuse me" Bella asked
"Oh, um my worlds Chaos emeralds have minds of their own and when they are used they have this habit of scattering around the world in remote locations, sometimes it takes a hundred or more years for anyone to find all seven of them" Dash answered
"So, your worlds emeralds scatter themselves as part of a defense mechanism" Zen asked
"Exactly my worlds emeralds are VERY powerful" Dash answered
"How powerful" Joey asked
"Like…so powerful that in the wrong hands could make you one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse or make you immortal, richest man in the galaxy that type of power" Dash answered, shocking the kids
"Oh MAN" Joey muttered
"So that's why we didn't see them they scattered on their own" Keith said
"Maybe" Dash agreed
"But that still raises a question…what about you, Dash" Zen asked
"Me" Dash asked
"Dad is right, I mean without those emeralds aren't you kind of stranded in this dimension" Bella asked, Dash paused for a minute or two before speaking
"That does raise a problem" Dash said
"Well…you COULD stay with us" Betty said
"BETTY" Bella said
"I mean…he is away from home and he doesn't have anyone here to turn to…kind of like we used to have no one, so what's the harm in him staying here" Betty asked with a sweetness in her voice as she clutched her stuffed animal in her arms
"She KIND OF has a point, Bella I mean I doubt he has friends or family in another dimension" Joey said
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, he should TOTALLY stay, it'll be like having a big brother around here" Keith added
"No, no, no I wouldn't want to trouble any of you" Dash tried to protest
"I think they have valid points, Dash, you could stay here at least for the time being I could sure use some help on the harvest that's coming up in a few months" Zen said
"Harvest" Dash asked
"We harvest vegetables then sell them in town during the farmers market every few years" Keith said
"Real pain on the hands and back" Joey added
"So, what do I do" Dash asked
"How about this you stay around here and help us with some chores around the small farm we have, we could sure use the extra hands" Zen suggested
"I'm good with my hands" Dash said
"And in return you can stay with us…that sound okay" Zen asked Dash, he thought about it for a minute before answering
"Yeah, yeah, I'd like that" Dash said
"Then Dash the hedgehog…welcome to the family" Zen told him as he extended his hand to Dash and he took it before shaking it
"Well…I've always wanted siblings" Dash said, Betty then rushed to him and gave him a big hug
"Another big brother" Betty said, Bella nodded in approval, Keith gave a thumbs up and Joey smiled warmly
*At least the Psycho fighters won't get their hands on the Chaos emeralds, now I just gotta find out what I'm gonna do* Dash said in his head
(1 years later, Nature valley Lotus lake) (A few days before the events of "Sonic adventure DX")
It took a while for Dash to get used to living in an alternate dimension, but it wasn't all bad at least there were no Psycho fighters around though some part of Dash's mind told him that he would see them again (I would say when but, that would be a spoiler) after getting into the swing of things Dash took to his new life, it was a lot quieter than his last one and he grew extremely close to his new siblings, Dash was currently seating at his favorite spot in the valley which is by Lotus lake, a beautiful lake with lotus trees around it, everything was so peaceful he could hear himself think, he helped Zen and his family with their harvesting, chores around the house eventually becoming a member of the village, Dash was a beloved member of the village and everyone took a liking to him but something inside of him knew that all this peace couldn't last forever (When does it EVER? I mean really) anyway Dash was just enjoying the quiet of the lotus lake, he loved it there but today was something special
"DASH…DASH" Dash heard a familiar voice and he turned his head to see Betty
"COME ON, WE'RE READY TO GO" Betty said, waving at her "oldest brother"
"Alright, I'll be right there" Dash replied before picking up hi sword that the emeralds gave him a year ago, he since named it the "Chaos blade" and his shoulder armor, well…the "Chaos shield" after sheathing the sword on his left hip, he then rushed over to his little sister
"So is everything ready to go, I mean we are gonna be away for a couple of days" Dash asked Betty
"Yeah, we're all ready we were just getting ready to take off" Betty answered as they walked
"You nervous" Dash asked her
"Why would I be, I mean people do this sort of thing all the time…right" Betty asked
"Hey, leaving the country to visit relatives overseas can get anyone's stomach in a turn, especially since it's a first timer" Dash said, it was only a year ago that Zen, Dash's third father figure invited not only him but Bella, Joey, Keith and Betty to join his family, now was the time of Zen's family reunion that was gonna take place in just a few days but his relatives were in Station square, overseas so for the first time Dash and his adopted siblings will be traveling over to Station square to spend four days there like Zen would normally do by himself every year, this will be the first time Zen's siblings oversea would meet his adopted children
"I'm not nervous" Betty said, Dash then grabbed her by her hips and lifted her up so that he could sit her on the back of her neck
"You sure about that Betty" Dash asked her, she hesitated a bit
"WELL" She muttered
"Betty" Dash said
"Oh, okay, I'm REALLY nervous, I've…I've never gone overseas before" Betty answered, holding her stuffed animal tightly
"Neither have I" Dash said
"Really" She asked as Dash continued to walk
"Yeah, so we can be nervous together and I'm pretty sure some if not all of the others are nervous to" Dash told her
"Nervous together…yeah, yeah okay…thanks Dash" She replied
"Hey, rain or shine you can always count on your big brother" Dash said with confidence
(2 days later, Angel island now the events of "Sonic adventure DX")
On the ancient, floating Angel island, there were no cities, no towns and only one person living on it, this was Knuckles the echidna, though not the Knuckles we all know, cladded in a black and dark brown type of knight armor over regular clothing, a black cap, a mechanical left forearm and hand, a missing right eye and a GIGANTIC sword on his back that was easily 6 feet long, 2 feet wide and possibly weighs 400 pounds, Knuckles the echidna had a pretty bad history with the echidna clan (Which I reveal in my character bios)
"AAAAAH, talk about peace and quiet" Knuckles said as he relaxed on the ground, Knuckles was the last of the echidna race that thrived in the modern world, known for their advanced technology and near-Samurai-like talent for warfare until fate played it's hand (No spoilers yet) it goes without saying that Knuckles has been on his own for a long time and he is the guardian of the all-powerful Master emerald, the key to the other Chaos emeralds that are native to the dimension and the thing that keeps Angel island floating in the air, everything was nice and quiet the air filled with the sounds of nature until a loud, shattering noise was heard, making Knuckles eyes fly open
"GAH, OH, WHAT IN THE" Knuckles stumbled before he got to his feet and grabbed his sword ready for action, he looked to see the shrine that the Master emerald was supposed to be but one problem, Knuckles saw a strange creature in front of him that looked like it was made of water with these light green eyes and it was so clear Knuckles could see some-kind of brain inside of the head of the creature
"Whoa, WHAT are you, where did you come from" Knuckles asked only for the creature to remain silent, he then looked to see the Master emerald shattered
"THE MASTER EMERALD…you…YOU DID THIS, your gonna PAY" Knuckles shouted before he sprinted forward at incredible speed, despite carrying a 400 pound sword he moved with such speed and swung the blade only for the creature to turn into a puddle and slither on the ground behind him
"Huh" Knuckles muttered before he tried several more times but the creature continued to move like water around Knuckles attacks before the creature backhanded Knuckles off the shrine, tumbling down it's stairs before he dug his mechanical fingers into the ground, skidding to a stop
"Oh man…that hurt" Knuckles muttered as he shook his head before looking up at the creature
"WHY YOU" Knuckles growled before he moved at great speeds until he reached the top of the shrine steps before jumping into the air and trying an overhead slash but the attack just went straight through it like a hot knife through butter the impact of the attack put a huge crack in the shrine, the creature then collected the Master emerald pieces before it tuned into a puddle again then it vanished
"Hey, WAIT, GET BACK HERE WITH THOSE SHARDS" Knuckles yelled but the creature was long gone but then the ground started to shake
"Whoa, whoa, whoa" Knuckles muttered before he rushed to the side of the island only to see what he feared was happening
"Just as I thought, without the Master emeralds power, the islands gonna drop into the OCEAN" Knuckles said as he prepared himself for impact, Angel island fell into the ocean and caused much of the water it dropped on to shoot up into the sky and even triggered a small tidal wave, after shaking off the force of the drop, Knuckles got to his feet and shook his head to get his bearings back
"No…this can't be happening, I gotta get those emeralds back" Knuckles said before he ran off to start his search for the Master emerald shards
(Amazon jungle)
Angel island was a floating island so it's wasn't in one place for very long and it just so happened to be around the Amazon jungle, it crashed near their and sleeping in the jungle was someone who is very big and very strong (BUT STOP HERE…because it is NOT Big the cat, don't get me wrong, I like the big, fluffy, gentle giant but he's a bit too…you know dense, so I will be replacing him with an OC hero of my own) in a man-made hammock slept a huge gorilla who was easily 8 Ft tall and looked IMMENSELY strong wearing a man-made set of tanned pants and sandals this is Ka-Zar the gorilla and his lifelong friends, one was a huge tiger named Khan and his little frog named…Froggy who were all sleeping peacefully until the shaking from the Angel island impact woke Froggy up, he then hopped towards a nearby river stream for a drink only for the water creature that attacked Knuckles on the island but still in puddle form the thing then jumped into Froggy's mouth and slithered into it, this woke up Khan and Ka-Zar
"Uh, wh-what…Froggy, what's wrong little buddy" Ka-Zar asked Froggy as he heaved himself off the hammock
"Did something happen" Ka-Zar asked Froggy only for him to realize that he grew a tail
"Hey…HEY YOU GOT A TAIL…when did you grow a tail, frogs don't have tails…do they Khan" Ka-Zar asked his tiger companion, which he spoke in tiger language, Ka-Zar understood him
"Froggy wasn't born with a tail, but how can he grow ONE" Ka-Zar yelled as Froggy leapt over the gorilla and turned to a very special gem that the gorilla had, it was a yellow CHAOS EMERALD, Froggy swallowed it
"Hey, that was my lucky charm, Froggy ate it" Ka-Zar told Khan before the frog started hopping off, Khan then told Ka-Zar something
"Your right, he IS acting strange, I don't know what's going on but I gotta get that frog back, Khan you stay here and hold down the fort while I'm gone" Ka-Zar said before he ran off
(Station square)
In Station square, things seemed calm and peaceful, but they had no idea what was coming, luckily the city had its own super hero, but this was no ordinary super hero, this was the one, the ONLY…THE FLASH (Stay with me now) Station Square for the last two years was protected by a speedster, a hedgehog who could run faster than the speed of sound and this hedgehog's identity was no other than Sonic the hedgehog (Who has a much different origin story than the one in cannon) the speedy hedgehog was moving through the streets, leaving behind him blue lightning as he sped by, he loved the feeling as he ran it was so peaceful when he was running he soon came to a local rooftop looking down on the city, to protect his natural fur color, he wore a slick, full body suit with a yellow lightning bolt on the chest, the only things showing were his mouth and eyes
"WHEW, yeah now this is what I like to see, no criminals afoot, no deadly fires around just TOTAL peace" Sonic said, everything was okay until there was a ringing in his right ear, it was his sister Sonia, or his brother Manic who both help him in his hero work, calling on an earpiece
"Yo, bro you there" Manic's voice came through
"Yeah brother, I'm here" Sonic called back
"Look I know you were hopping that you weren't gonna get a call to action tonight but" Manic was about to say
"Let me guess…trouble" Sonic asked
"Good guess" Manic replied
"And what SERIOUSLY BAD TIMING" A female voice came through
"Disrupted your evening, sis" Sonic asked his sister, Sonia
"You can say that again, I was getting ready for a girl's night out and then…well, you know" Sonia replied, making her brothers chuckle a bit
"The sacrifices we make for our job" Manic said
"What's up" Sonic asked
"Police scanners are calling in a report of some-kind of creature down near Station Square plaza" Sonia answered
"A lot of them f saying this thing looks like it's made of water" Manic said
"Alright, I'll check it out, with a little luck this will blow over quick" Sonic replied before he zipped off towards the problem, on the way he saw many police cars moving towards the problem, when he got there the reports were right, a creature that looked like it was made of water but it wasn't alone, with them was Dash along with a male purple dragon who is the nephew of Zen the dragon (Who I will now introduce) Jin the dragon and with them was some girls that Jin introduced to Dash, one was a black cat and the other was a yellow mouse they were being cornered by the creature
"Back off…I SAID BACK OFF" Dahs warned the creature as he held up his Piko-Piko blaster, he currently didn't have his sword or shield with him because Jin conceived him that there wasn't gonna be any trouble tonight (Yeah RIGHT)
"What IS that thing" The mouse girl asked
"Ever seen anything like this before on this side of the world, Jin" Dash asked his adopted cousin
"Don't look at me man" Jin replied, the police arrived soon enough and surrounded the creature
"STOP RIGHT THERE…you are completely surrounded, surrender at once or we WILL open fire" The captain of the police called as the creature didn't take its eyes off the four
"I don't think it heard em" The black cat said
"OPEN FIRE" The police captain yelled
"HIT THE DIRT" Dash yelled as he and Jin covered the girls as the police started firing at the creature but it was unaffected by the attack, it's watery body absorbed the damage before it spat the bullets out of it's mouth and onto the ground
"This is bad" Dash said, suddenly a dashing, blue and red figure sped by and punched the creature, staggering it back, it was Sonic
"You know something…I was hopping to get some down time this evening, but I guess that ain't gonna happen now" Sonic said
"THE FLASH" The girls said at once
"Who" Dash asked
"Remember the hero I told you about at the reunion…THAT'S him" Jin told Dash as he looked at the costumed hero
"The flash" Dash muttered, a couple of policemen then came up to the boys and girls
"Come on you four, let's get you to safety" One of the policemen said as they were being escorted to safety as Sonic was battling the water creature
"Over here, no I'm here, now this way, come on at least TRY to hit" Sonic was about to say as he was zipping around the creature before he was smacked by the creature and he was sent flying into a tree
"OOF…okay, that's better" Sonic muttered before the creature stuck out it's long togue and it was heading towards Sonic only for him to move and the tongue sliced the tree he was knocked into in half
"Sorry, no tongue" Sonic said before he ran towards the creature to hit it but he went straight through it, the creature then reached to grab Sonic by the back of the next before drawing him towards it and opened it's mouth before blasting Sonic with a collective blast of energy he was stunned for a bit but Sonic got back into the fight but the creature was still not being hit by physical attacks
"Guys, this isn't working, I need another tactic here" Sonic told his siblings over the earpiece
"We're working on it" Sonia said
"We better work FASTER" Manic said before Dash jumped into action
"DASH, HOLD UP" Jin shouted but Dash leapt into action shooting at the creature with his stunning beams and this time it hurt it
"Hey, nice shot but how come you hurt it" Sonic asked Dash
"It looks like water and acts like water then it is water, try electricity" Dash said as he tried again this time the creature morphed its body in a way that he dodged the blasts
"Sonic, he's got something there, lead the creature to a lamppost" Manic told Sonic as the two forced the creature under a lamppost and Sonic ran rapidly around the creature to keep it there
"GET OUT OF THE WAY" Dash yelled s he blasted the lamppost, causing wires to shoot out and it electrocuted the creature, Sonic got out of the way just in time, the creature let out a painful roar before it saw a manhole cover, turned into a puddle and then seeping through it
"NO, NO, NO, BLAST IT" Sonic shouted as the creature got away, Dash then walked up to the speedy hero
"Can you track it down there" Dash asked
"You must be new in Station Square" Sonic said
"Visiting relatives from overseas" Dash replied
"Oh…then the answer is no, the Station Square sewer systems are HUGE and stretches for miles underground, the way that thing moves it could be anywhere by now" Sonic answered, Dash then twirled his blaster in his right hand before he sheathed it
"Nice shooting by the way, the Flash at your service mister" Sonic said as he held out his hand to Dash, he then took it and they shook
"The names Dash, Dash the hedgehog" Dash introduced himself
"Thanks for the help Dash, I guess I owe you one, have a nice evening" Sonic said before speeding off with a streak of blue lightning trailing behind him
"New friend bro" Manic asked Sonic as he ran
"A pretty cute one to" Sonia said
"Right place, right time is what I say, I don't know about you guys but I could sure use a small break from this" Sonic said before he zoomed off
(Back with Dash)
"Dash that was AWESOME" The black cat girl said
"Yeah man you, stepping in to help the Flash that's gotta make you an honorary hero or something" Jin said
"Nah, I just did what any good Samaritan would do…let's go home" Dash replied as they started walking back
*There is no doubt that the Flash is a hedgehog, he has to be to have that kind of speed…and is this dimension is some-type of mirrored version of my own, then there's only ONE hedgehog I know of that has that kind of speed…Sonic the hedgehog* Dash said in his head as the four walked on, meanwhile the entire thing was watched by someone
(Somewhere else, unknown location)
"Well, well…step one is already in motion…but who is this new hedgehog that helped the Flash" A man asked
"Scanning" A male, robotic voice said as it scanned the image of Dash helping the speedy hero
"No identity match to any known hedgehog in public or international records" The robotic voice said, the male figure stared at Dash
"Will this hedgehog be any problem for you, master" The robotic voice asked the male figure who paused before answering
"Hmm…no, continue on schedule…our operation is a GO" The male figure said with a wicked grin on his face
Looks like trouble on the horizon
