What is up my friends, I hope your all having a great day and staying safe and what can I say it's a good day to be alive and I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your patience, I've been REALLY occupied lately and haven't had the time of day to do what I love to do, but without further delay, let's have some fun
Chapter 8 Picking sides
(With Knuckles) (After he, Dash, Sonic and Tails split)
After his confrontation with Dash and the other heroes, Knuckles continued his search for the remaining Master emerald shards which lead him into the Mystic ruins where he was homing in on the master shard signatures, leading him to the Mystic ruin temple
"Okay the Master emerald shards should be around here some" Knuckles was about to say when he accidentally triggered a pressure plate and suddenly the ground under him opened up
"WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE" Knuckles shouted as he fell down the hole before he quickly used his robotic, left hand to dig into the sides of the hole he was falling
*COME ONE, COME ON* Knuckles said in his mind as he started slowing down before coming to s stop right before he was at least thirty feet from the ground
"Whew…any longer and I would have been a red spot on the ground" Knuckles said before he dropped to the ground softly by gliding
(And if your wondering why he didn't glide to descend safely down the hole, well the hole was too narrow to stretch out and glide and he was falling too fast)
Knuckles dropped to the ground and examined his surroundings he was inside the Mystic ruins temple and he could feel Master emerald shards nearby
"Well at least the shards are close by" Knuckles muttered before he started tracking them down, the inside of the temple was like a maze, but Knuckles got through it and managed to obtain the three shard pieces
"Nice" Knuckles said before a familiar, red, glowing orb of light appeared
"Huh…hey, I remember you, what are you doing here" Knuckles asked as the orb floated around him
"Look if your gonna do what I THINK your gonna do, I better THINK" Knuckles was about to say before his vision went completely white
(Vision)
Knuckles vision soon went back to normal and like he thought the red orb did the same thing it did to him before
"Crap…not THIS again" Knuckles said before he looked around only to see that he was at the alter of the Master emerald, but it looked brand new
"This isn't right, the ruins of the alter are ancient but these look like they were just laid down yesterday" Knuckles said before he noticed a familiar, echidna girl, Tikal who was speaking to the Master emerald like it was a living being and Knuckles also noticed around it on individual pedestals were the other Chaos emeralds
"I beg of you, hear me now oh great protector of the emeralds" Tikal spoke as Knuckles kept quiet
*She can't be referring to me, I'm the only protector of the Master emerald left…but then who is she talking to* Knuckles asked in his head
"My father is coming here soon, and I fear what may happen, you MUST take everyone away from here, PLEASE" Tikal begged whoever she was talking to
*But…there's no one here but us* Knuckles said in his head, Tikal paused for a minute as if she was hearing someone speak
"So, you cannot leave this place" Tikal said before sighing
"I…understand, I will talk to my father again, there must be a better way to do this" Tikal said before turning around, Knuckles then noticed these little, light blue, fairy-like things (Chao's) who were gathering with Tikal
"Don't worry my friends, I will not let anything bad happen to you" Tikal told them before walking off, she didn't see Knuckles as if he was an apparition
"I MUST do something…and quickly before something terrible happens" Tikal said before Knuckles vision started going white again
"MAN NOT AGAIN" Knuckles grunted before hearing a voice in his head
*The one with the power to make what was wronged right once more is the one with the will to make his desires reality, but he cannot achieve it alone* A voice that sounded like a male and female talking together spoke in Knuckles head as images flashed in front of his eyes, they showed a hedgehog wielding a sword before the vision showed him what looked like a huge, flying fortress, then everything went all white again
(Back to reality)
Knuckles vision returned to normal before he shook his head a little bit and got his bearings
"The one with the power…to make what was wronged right once more…that hedgehog with the sword, was that…DASH" Knuckles asked himself before he realized that he was still in Mystic ruins, he decided to leave the ruins before he gave what he heard and saw some thought
"That hedgehog MUST have been Dash but…why would that strange orb show him to me and that flying machine, it looked like that SLIME BALL, Eggman's floating fortress…well, one thing is for sure that fat, mustache marshmallow has caused me nothing but trouble, I guess I owe Dash one for setting me straight, plus" Knuckles said before he pounded his right fist into his left hand
"I owe that FAT tub of lard some good, old fashion payback" Knuckles said before he saw something falling out of the sky
"What the heck is that" Knuckles asked before what was falling from the sky crashed on the ground not too far away from Knuckles
"I better check that out" Knuckles said before dashing off
(Earlier, back in the city)
Sonic and Amy were hauling tail towards Twinkle park which was MASSIVE
"You ever been here" Amy asked Sonic
"My folks used to bring me here when I was a kid" Sonic answered
"It's so BIG" Amy said in amazement
"I take it you're not used to such a large place" Sonic said
"No, but even WITH my X-ray vision finding just one emerald in a place like this isn't gonna be easy" Amy said
"Then why not bring along something that'll make it easier" A voice came from behind the two, they turned to see Dash
"DASH, YOUR OKAY" Sonic said in relief
"Yeah, a little bruised but my shield cushioned most of the fall damage" Dash replied, he then laid eyes on an ALL too familiar face
*M-MOM* Dash shouted in his mind, barely holding onto his composed face
"Who's this" Amy asked Sonic
"Long story short, his is Dash he's been helping me find the Chaos emeralds, Dash this is Supergirl" Sonic introduced him to the pink hedgehog
"Supergirl" Dash asked
"Yeah, you know…woman of steel, super heroin from another world, any of this ringing a bell" Sonic asked, Dash shook his head
"So, you've never heard of me" Supergirl asked
"I'm…from out of town, nice to meet you ma'am" Dash told Amy as they shook hands
"Ma'am, what am I an old lady" Amy asked
"Not that, my momma just raised me to give ladies proper respect" Dash answered
"Sounds like a smart and well-respected lady" Amy said
*You have NO idea* Dash said in his mind
"Anyway, Flash said that you've been helping locate Chaos emeralds but how" Amy asked Dash, he then drew his Chaos blade and it glowed
"With this" Dash answered
"Is that a sword made of…crystal" Amy asked
"I think it's more like that thing is made of the same material that the Chaos emeralds are made of but he's yet to share how and where he got such a thing, though it sure has been useful, it can track down Chaos emeralds" Sonic explained, Dash then pointed the sword towards Twinkle part and it glowed again
"Bingo" Dash said, undenounced to them the group was being watched it was Tifa, she heard everything
*So THAT'S how they've been finding the emeralds so fast* Tifa said in her mind
"Guys…someone's listening in on us" Amy told them
"Where" Dash asked
"Behind us, a girl" Amy answered
"Should we take her" Sonic asked
"We've got bigger problems" Amy said as she looked up, the other two looked up and they saw what looked like a large robot descended into the park from the sky
"What was that" Sonic asked
"A robot of some-kind" Amy answered
"And I bet you both a meal at Golden coral that it's after the emerald that the sword is pointing us to…let's get in there and track it down before it gets to it" Dash said before the three made their way into the park
"Make that a three-course meal and you got a deal" Sonic told Dash as they moved into action
"Make that four-course" Amy added
(With Tails)
Tails had landed rather hard, despite his attempts at a soft landing even with his tails keeping him aloft he still couldn't fly like that forever but he soon regained consciousness
"Oh, oh man…okay, two legs, two arms, head, both tails" Tails said as he was about to check his tails only for him to feel a sharp pain
"AAH, OH, oh, that's smarts" Tails grunted as he checked his tails and one of them was damaged
"GREAT" Tails muttered before checking his arc reactor which was harshly burnt but it was still active, he then looked to see his armor which crashed on the ground not too far from his position
"MY BABY" Tails yelled as he got up and checked his armor, he couldn't wear it, but he managed to take out a communicator
"Jarvis…Jarvis, do you read me" Tails called into the communicator
"At your service sir, are you alright" Jarvis asked Tails
"A bit of a headache and a busted tail, but otherwise alright…my armor is toast however" Tails said
"That was a rather nasty hit sir, the suit's scanners are reading that your arc reactor is running on thirty percent power, you will need a new reactor piece if you don't with to go into shock" Jarvis advised
"And I'm gonna need a new armor set if I wanna get back into the fight against Eggman, you got any preferences" Tails asked Jarvis
"What is the particular need sir" Jarvis asked
"Well, the Tornado we used wasn't powerful enough to handle the beating it took and that cannon the doc used on it, it was unlike any weapon I've ever seen" Tails said
"Agreed" Jarvis said
"So, I think we better bring out some SERIOUS firepower and a much more powerful machine in order to break through the Egg carriers defenses, the prototype Tornado was no match for it" Tails said
"Which means we need another emerald in order to power the Tornado" Jarvis said
"Right but as for armor, I think the "War machine" suit will do the trick here" Tails said
"My thoughts exactly sir, estimated time of arrival with an additional Arc reactor, twenty-five minutes" Jarvis said
"Alright, in the meantime I think I better find out where the heck I am and then get back to Sonic and Dash" Tails said
"Might I suggest taking the earpiece from the suits helmet so we can stay in touch, sir" Jarvis asked, Tails then took the earpiece of his ruined armor and placed it in his right ear before taking off to see if he could tell where he was, soon he came to a dense jungle it didn't take him long to figure out that he was in a part of the Mystic ruins
"Mystic ruins…this is gonna take a while without flying" Tails said before he started moving through the jungles
(Back with Dash, Sonic and Amy in Twinkle park)
Dash, Sonic and Amy all arrived to what they saw crash through the park in the first place, it was a GIANT robot
"Uh, Dash…what IS that thing" Sonic asked Dash as the robot stood up to its full-size, this thing was MASSIVE in size
"I'm not sure" Dash answered (This machine stands 28 Ft tall made of metal with a body similar in appearance to Songbird from "Bioshock infinite", it's right arm was a large, long-barrel machine gun with five barrels, it had a large, four-fingered fist for a left arm, on it's right shoulder was a gatling gun and another device on its left shoulder and it had a 20 Ft wingspan)
"Sweet mother of Krypton" Amy muttered before Dash saw that the robot had the Chaos emerald that the Chaos blade was tracking which rested in the robot's giant, left hand
"And it's got the emerald" Dash said before the robot let out what sounded like a loud, screeching sound to which the three heroes covered their ears it was so loud then the large area that they were in was flooded with the same robots that attacked Dash, Sonic and Tails before, Dive bombs and Ravagers
"Are these guys friends of yours" Amy asked Dash and Sonic
"Nu-uh…trouble" Sonic said right before the Dive bombs and Ravager bots suddenly shifted forms into two-legged, humanoid forms and armed themselves with weapons
*Eggman's robots have never done something like this before* Dash said in his head
"What on earth" Amy said
"Transforming robots, whoa, the little boy in me is SO geeking out right now" Sonic said, Dash then readied himself, Amy couldn't help but giggle at Sonic's reaction to the robots
"Geek out later, rip robots in half now" Dash said before the big robot lifted up its left hand and the spot where its mouth was opened up and the emerald was tucked into it before it closed, the robot then screeched again as if ordering the robots to attack the group of heroes
"Here we GOOOOOOO" Dash yelled as the three heroes leapt into action, Dash made a break for the robotic leader to which it responded by blasting several rounds with its shoulder-mounted gatling gun, Dash easily moved around the bullets being fired before Dash jumped into the air hoping to get the emerald back from the robot only for the robot to project what looked like an energy barrier from a projector on its left shoulder which Dash landed on the energy barrier which he bounced off it before the robot tried to smash Dash with its huge fist but Dash easily moved out of the way before firing fire balls from his Piko-Piko blaster hitting the robot a few times but it was hardly phased before he whacked Dash away with its large, left wing and he collided into a wall
"OOOF" Dash grunted upon impact, he then shook his head a bit
"That thing hits hard" Dash replied before he moved to avoid machine gun rounds from the robot, meanwhile Sonic was running all over the place being chased by the Ravager robots who tried to blast him with energy riffles
"For buckets of bolts…these guys are actually pretty fast, AAH" Sonic yelled before he just barely avoided an attack from one of the Ravager bots who used their spiked ball-tipped tail which impacted on a nearby wall
"That would have been nasty" Sonic said before he jumped up and split his legs to avoid another spiked ball attack before he ran out of the building at blinding speeds till he came towards a construction site and to a worker who was using a power drill
"GAAH" The worker yelled before Sonic grabbed the drill
"Sorry-need-this-to-save-the-city-I-promise-to-return-this-thanks-for-your-help" Sonic said really fast before running off with the drill, leaving the worker confused
"Wh-wait…WHAT" The worker said before Sonic ran back to the building to face a bunch of panther bots
"Alright…who's ready for a tune-up" Sonic said before spinning the drill head a bit the Ravager robots charged him before Sonic moved fast enough so that he was moving around the robots, after Sonic stopped the robots then turned to look at him, they tried to move but suddenly they fell apart, Sonic then blew across the drill head like it was a gun he just fired
"Talk about having a screw lose" Sonic said before speeding off back into the fight meanwhile, Amy was smashing one Dive bomb bot after another with her bare fists, punching them to pieces before she blasted a few of them with her freezing breath to freeze them and make them fall to the ground, a few Dive bombs then tried their boomerang weapon on her
"SNAP" Amy grunted as she tried to avoid them as she flew around, but they were locked onto her like a couple of missiles
"Follow this" Amy muttered before she flew towards a wall and stopped in mid-air before flying straight up and given the tight curve of her ascent the boomerang weapons collided and exploded on impact with the wall, two Dive bomb robots then tried a diving attack but she grabbed one with both her hands before using both legs to kick the other Dive bomb robot, busting it into pieces
"Polly want-a SMACKER" Amy said before punching the Dive bomb robot she was holding with her right fist, shattering it into pieces, meanwhile Tifa was watching from the sidelines
*Wow…they're incredible* Tifa said in her mind as she saw Dash slashing apart robot after robot with his Chaos blade and blasting away with his Piko-Piko blaster before he was surrounded by bots but then
"CHAOS…BLAST" Dash yelled as a powerful blast of Chaos energy erupted form his body OBLITERATING the robots that surrounded him but then one of the Falcon bots came down and threw their boomerang weapons which instead of releasing an explosion it was a blinding light
"GAAH" Dash yelled as he was temporarily blinded meanwhile the robot leader tried to crush Dash with its massive, right fist
"DASH" Sonic yelled as he tried to make a break for Dash before three Ravager bots dogpiled him, Amy tried to get to Dash as well, but a couple of Dive bomb robots used the same blinding flash boomerangs on her, temporarily obscuring her vision
"NO" Tifa yelled as she ran towards Dash as fast as she could go, she shoved him out of the way just in the nick of time meanwhile Sonic super did a super spin to get the Ravagers off him while Amy's vision returned after a few seconds, she then rushed towards the giant robot, sent it flying with a punch and apparently knocked the Chaos emerald it was holding out of its grasp to which Amy caught
"Dash, DASH, you okay" Tifa asked the temporarily blinded hedgehog
"Tifa, that you" Dash asked
"Yeah, it's me now ARE YOU OKAY" She asked again
"I'm fine just…a little dazed from that bright light" Dash said before his sight slowly returned as Sonic and Amy came up to them
"Who the heck is she" Sonic asked Dash
"Tifa Liao Long" Tifa introduced herself as the robots gathered around them
"Introductions later, we've got more company" Amy said
"Can you fight Dash" Tifa asked him
"Yeah, I can see again…I owe you one for saving my hide, Tifa" Dash told her
"Just so long as you keep your promise" Tifa said
"What promise" Sonic asked
"EXPLAIN LATER" Dash replied as the huge robot stepped forward, its eyes then a projected image was cast, it was Eggman
"Well…look who the rat dragged in" Dash said
"A pleasure as always, young hedgehog though you should speak with more respect when speaking to your superiors" Eggman said with a cocky voice
"The day I have ANY respect towards you is the day that pigs fly, and fish walk on two legs" Dash growled, Eggman then spotted Tifa
"Ah, Tifa…so you DID survive that fall out of the Egg carrier" Eggman said
"Yeah right, thanks for asking you didn't even care wither or not I was okay" Tifa said
"You are my asset…not my partner, if you want what I promised you, you better remember who is in charge here" Eggman said before spotting the emerald that Amy had
"Now be a good girl and GET me that emerald and bring it BACK to me, THAT'S…an ORDER" Eggman ordered, Tifa then looked at Dash
"The choice you make now Tifa will define you for the rest of your life…what would your sister think of you" Dash asked her, she thought about it for a second
"I said…THAT'S AN…ORDER" Eggman ordered Tifa paused again before activating her battle, shotgun gauntlets
"What is the meaning of this" Eggman asked
"Be honest doc…you wouldn't have kept your promise" Tifa asked, Eggman paused before he scoffed, Dash then motioned for he to throw over the emerald to him which she did
"She figured you out, doc you would have rather chocked her yourself than pay her for work that YOU should have had the balls to do" Dash told him, Eggman growled before he straightened up his face
"Insults aside…for a brawler Tifa, your smart no matter, Gamma take the emerald from them as for Tifa…BRING her to me" Eggman ordered the robot
*Gamma* Dash asked in his mind as the image of Eggman disappeared before Gamma screeched again as the heroes and Tifa prepared to fight
(Back with Tails)
Tails had been walking around for a while now because one of his tails was busted, he couldn't fly and the armor that he was expecting was a good ten minutes out but suddenly his luck changed when he spotted something that he NEVER expected to see in a place like Mystic ruins
"HOLY SNOT, A CHAOS EMERALD" Tails yelled as he went to grab it only for a frog "Froggy" to come out of nowhere and swallow the emerald
"What in the, Jarvis frogs don't normally swallow emeralds DO THEY" Tails asked Jarvis
"No sir, they don't" Jarvis answered before Tails tried to grab the critter only for it to hop away faster than a rabbit with a fox on its tail
(Get it?)
"H-HEY, COME BACK HERE" Tails yelled only for the frog to get away and dashed to an entrance to a cave to which Tails ran after it
"You gotta be kidding me, a FROG taking a Chaos emerald how does something like that happen" Tails asked himself as he tried to catch up with Froggy, Tails followed the slippery toad into the cave only for the two of them to fall down a large hole and the two went sliding down a circular tunnel
"WHOA, WHOA, WHOA" Tails shouted as the two went down the tunnel like a water park ride before the two eventually went flying out of a hole in the side of a mountain area and while in the air Tails got his chance to grab the toad
"I GOTCHA" Tails yelled as he clamped his hands around the toad before he fell down into a huge pile of sand, he paused for a minute reeling back from the impact on the ground before he pulled his head out of the sand and shook his head
"WHEW…what a crash" Tails said before looking down at the toad in his hands
"Thought you could give Iron man the slip, eh" Tails asked the toad
"Time to cough up that emerald little buddy" Tails told the frog only for what looked like a ball of light, the same one that Knuckles ran into appeared out of nowhere
"Huh" Tails muttered before his eyes were blinded with an extremely bright light, his vision went white
(Tails's vision)
Tails slowly regained his vision only for him to see he wasn't in a desert area anymore, but he soon found himself in an ancient city-like terrain
"Again I say…HUH…what is this place" Tails asked himself before he moved through the city, he moved cautiously to make sure that trouble wasn't around the corner, even though there were people around and by "people" I mean apparitions, seeing as how they couldn't see, hear, nor even physically touch Tails things seemed safe enough until he came to what looked like a large temple and a familiar, echidna girl, Tikal
"The servers are the seven Chaos emeralds" Tikal said before she noticed Tails and turned to face him
"Hello there, friend, how are you" Tikal asked Tails, seeing this was the first apparition to see and even TALK to Tails he was a little stunned
"Um…hello" Tails stuttered
"Is something wrong, you looked like you've seen a ghost" Tikal said
"Oh, no, um…what were you saying before" Tails asked her
"Oh, it's a special chant my grandmother taught me when I was a little girl, it's VERY special and I am never to forget it, it goes like this…the servers are the seven Chaos emeralds, Chaos is power enriched by the heart, the controller is the one that unifies the Chaos" Tikal said the special chant
"Hmm" Tails hummed
"But even after all these years…I still have no idea what it all means" Tikal said
"Well it must be something special, otherwise your grandmother wouldn't have taught it to you" Tails said
"Yes…perhaps something very important…oh, I'm sorry, we've never meet before, I'm Tikal and you are" Tikal asked Tails but before he could answer his vision started going white again, before he knew it he couldn't see anything
(Back in reality)
"Sir…sir…SIR, can you hear me" Jarvis's voice echoed in Tails's ear as his vision returned to him, he then shook his head and refocused himself
"Huh, wh-what" Tails asked
"Sir, you were silent for a while is something wrong" Jarvis asked Tails
"Uh…n-no, I guess I just…paused for a minute" Tails said before he heard something big coming and by big, I mean BIG, Tails looked to see Ka-Zar
"HEY…you put down my FROGGY BUDDY…NOW" Ka-Zar said as he pounded his chest
"Who" Tails asked before he looked down at the frog in his hands
"Froggy, he's a friend of you-WHOA" Tails shouted as he saw a huge boulder coming at him to which he rolled to the right to avoid it
"WHAT THE HECK MAN" Tails yelled only for Ka-Zar to come charging at him to which Tails dodges again and Ka-Zar collides with the side of a stone mountain, making a big crater on impact
"OH" Tails grunted a bit thinking the gorilla's head was crushed but Ka-Zar walked away from the impact like a champ
"Talk about hard-headed" Tails said as the giant gorilla continued to attack him with one punch after another
"JUST…GIVE…ME…BACK…FROGGY" Ka-Zar grunted with every swing of his fists and Tails kept dodging and weaving
"Come on, can't we just talk about this like civilized men" Tails asked before he dodged another huge boulder that was tossed by Ka-Zar but as he was running he slipped and fell leaving him up for Ka-Zar to try and crush him with another boulder
"OH CRAAAAAAAAAP" Tails yelled as he braced for impact only for something to drop out of the sky and landed in-between Tails and the boulder
"Huh" Ka-Zar muttered before something blasted through the boulder and sent Ka-Zar flying through the air and he collided into a boulder hitting it pretty hard, he looked to see what looked like a set of armor which was black with silver as it's secondary color, on its right shoulder was a six-barrel rocket launcher and on the left shoulder was mini-gun (Think of the War machine armor) the armor then turned to Tails and helped him up
"Sorry for the tardiness sir" Jarvis's voice spoke from the armor, it then showed an Arc reactor in its chest cartridge
"I have what you asked for" Jarvis said before he took the reactor
"Hold still sir" Jarvis told Tails
"Just DO IT" Tails said before Jarvis took out Tails's current reactor which made him grunt before Jarvis switched it with the new one it brought
"AH…OH, that's better" Tails said after getting his bearings back
"Thanks Jarvis" Tails said
"Of course, sir now shall we" Jarvis asked as the War machine armor took Froggy from Tails before turning its back to Tails and it opened from the back, meanwhile Ka-Zar recovered from the hit he got and saw the two-tailed fox stepping into the armor
"HUH" Ka-Zar muttered as Tails stepped into his armor and powered up
"Alright Donkey Kong…let's get funky like a monkey" Tails told Ka-Zar (The favorite line of one of my dad's favorite WWE wrestlers, the late, great Dusty Roads) Tails then put Froggy in a opened compartment of his suit so his hands would be free
"I am NOT a MONKEY…I'M A GORILLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Ka-Zar yelled as he got back to his feet and charged at the armored hero with a right swing only for Tails to instantly fly backwards before flying forward with an overhead slam with his left hand which forced him to reel backwards for a bit before he tried with his left arm only for Tails to duck under it and Tails hit Ka-Zar again with a right cross to the face before jumping up and putting both palms to Ka-Zar's face
"OPEN WIDE" Tails shouted before blasting Ka-Zar in the face
"AAH" Ka-Zar shouted only for the gorilla to grab Tails's leg and slam him on the ground a few times before he punched Tails sending him flying to the side, Tails quickly regained control and flew a high speeds towards Ka-Zar and grabbed him by the neck with both hands
"YOU ASKED FOR IT" Tails shouted as he took Ka-Zar off the ground and slammed him into a cliffside before dragging him up the side of the cliff, after reaching the top, Tails then blasted Ka-Zar with his chest beam sending him crashing to the ground and skidding on it, Tails then landed on the ground
"This ends now" Tails told Ka-Zar before the gorilla turned and clapped his hands together so hard that a vicious shockwave to which Tails tried to cover his ears
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Tails screamed only to Ka-Zar to smash him to the side but it released the small container that Froggy was in, freeing the small animal but when it landed it accidentally puked up the emerald that Tails was after before Froggy swallowed it
"FROGGY, YOUR FREE" Ka-Zar said as he went to pick up the small animal only for it to scoop the Chaos emerald it threw up and swallowed it again before giving Ka-Zar the slip again
"F-FROGGY, WAIT" Ka-Zar shouted before turning to Tails who recovered from the beating he got, his armor was holding up though
"YOU" Ka-Zar growled
"What" Tails asked
"I would have Froggy back with me had it NOT BEEN FOR YOU, OOOOOOH, I'M GONNA CRUSH YOU INTO THE GROUND" Ka-Zar roared as Tails prepared himself as the two were about to collide with each until
"ENOUGH" A mighty voice spoke making the two fighters stop, they looked to see what looked like a floating mask-like thing (Kind of like Aku-Aku from "Crash Bandicoot")
"Okay…what is THAT" Tails asked
"I was about to ask you the same thing, sir" Jarvis said
"F-FATHER" Ka-Zar said
"Wait…FATHER" Tails asked
"Ka-Zar…what is this…metal man" The mask asked the gorilla
"Father, I was trailing Froggy, he had ran away from home and I came here to get him back and this…this THING got in my way" Ka-Zar said
"I'm not a THING" Tails said as the face mask of the helmet was raised up to show Tails's face
"See, I'm just an ordinary fox" Tails said
"With TWO tails" Ka-Zar asked
"So says a guy nearly TWICE as big as a gorilla" Tails said, Ka-Zar paused to think on it
"I…see your point" Ka-Zar replied
"What is your name, young man" The mask asked
"Miles Prower but everyone calls me Tails" Tails introduced himself
"A pleasure, young Tails, I am Mugin" The mask gave its name
"Never heard of you" Tails said
"Sir, Mugin is the alleged God of the jungle, thought several people say that he has appeared before them, no outsider has seen him" Jarvis's voice was heard
"How can he speak without moving his mouth" Ka-Zar asked Mugin, since he has very little if no experience with machinery or technology
"It's the machine he is in talking Ka-Zar not him" Mugin told the gorilla
"OOOH" Ka-Zar said, Mugin then hovered up close to Tails's face and looked into his eyes
"UUUM" Tails muttered feeling his personal space being invaded a little
"You have experienced success from an early age with your incredible mind and was swept up in the profit you have made from creating weapons of war and ruin" Mugin told Tails which shocked him
"H-how do you" Tails was about to ask
"Father can see inside a person's soul and judge their worth" Ka-Zar answered as Mugin continued to "read" Tails
"But then an accident which forced you to become something that was never your intension and witnessed the death of the person who turned you away from your former ways…despite your rough beginning you strive to fix what you have done…Ka-Zar I find this young man of good heart" Mugin told Ka-Zar who walked up to Tails
"I apologize for the way I behaved" Ka-Zar told Tails
"So…that's it, we're not fighting anymore" Tails asked
"If father says your okay then you are okay with me" Ka-Zar said
"Okay" Tails muttered
"Father you still have no explained why you are here" Ka-Zar told Mugin
"Which begs the question…HOW are you Ka-Zar's dad" Tails asked
"I adopted him and raised him as my own when he was only a little one and as to why I am here I am sensing something powerful in the city nearby…something dangerously powerful and it is growing by the minute" Mugin answered
"What kind of energy" Tails asked
"An energy that threatens to spread chaos and it is tied to the emerald that Froggy swallowed" Mugin said
"Wait, he still has it, OH MAN" Tails said
"He swallowed another one, father" Ka-Zar asked
"Wait, another one" Tails asked the gorilla
"Before I came to this strange place Froggy swallowed a lucky charm of mine and it looked like the one you have but it was a different color" Ka-Zar explained
"You already had a Chaos emerald" Tails asked Ka-Zar
"Chaos…emerald, I didn't know they had names" Ka-Zar said
"I had heard legends about the conduits for the power of chaos, but I only speculated them as mere legends but if these ARE the emeralds of legend, I fear the destruction they can cause if it is unleashed" Mugin said
"Even worse than that…I think I know where this energy might be coming from" Tails said
"Where" Ka-Zar asked
"It's actually caused by this…monster called Chaos and its under the control of an evil man" Tails answered
"And what is this Chaos creature to you" Mugin asked
"Its endangering innocent people and it keeps getting stronger by the hour if it keeps getting stronger, pretty soon it'll be too powerful, me and a few others are trying to stop it" Tails answered
"I see…Ka-Zar, you and I shall aid this young man and his allies" Mugin told Ka-Zar
"But, what about Froggy" Ka-Zar asked
"Your friend, Froggy, I wasn't chasing him to hurt him, he only coughed up ONE emerald and if he still has the other the evil man will be trying to get his hands on it, if he does the chaos monster I told you about will only get bigger and stronger" Tails explained
"And that makes Froggy a target to the evil man controlling the creature and if we find this man" Mugin was about to say
"We find Froggy" Ka-Zar said, Tails nodded in response
(Back with Dash, Sonic, Amy and Tifa)
Robot after robot came to claim the Chaos emerald but the four managed to take them apart but eventually, they had to face Gamma who was very strong even for people as strong as Sonic and Amy who were in the grip of the giant robot
"MAN, this thing is seriously strong, Supergirl can't you get us OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUT" Sonic yelled as Gamma sent him and Amy flying, they both struggled to get back up
"Supergirl, you okay" Sonic asked her as he checked on her
"Yeah but…I've been out of the sun for too long, I'm…losing strength" Amy said, soon Gamma knocked Dash into a wall and grabbed Tifa like Eggman ordered
"GAAAH, LET ME…GO YOU GIANT PILE OF SCRAP METAL" Tifa shouted before it stuffed her into an opening in its metal body, trapping her, it was then about to take off with its massive wingspan but it wasn't gonna go alone
"Oh no you DON'T" Dash yelled as he used his Chaos blade to dig deep into the flying machine before it too off into the sky, leaving Sonic and Amy alone with the crushed and destroyed remains of the Ravager and Dive bomb robots
"DASH" Sonic and Amy yelled at once as their friend rode on the back of Gamma into the air and lost sight of it
And that my friends, concludes the new chapter in the adventures of Dash the hedgehog and his hero friends and I thank you for taking the time to read it I truly appreciate it
