Welcome back everyone and I do so hope you are all staying safe and sound and are getting into the holiday spirit what with Christmas not too far away now
Welcome to yet ANOTHER chapter of my Sonic story, last time Dash's kindness won over a powerful, future ally to him and his hero friends but now its time for some more pulse, pounding action in chapter 10
Also I am SOOOOOO sorry for the wait but I have been SERIOUSLY busy, I'm just glade that I can do this but without further delay
LET'S DO IT TO IT!
Chapter 10 Come together
The once violent robot known as Gamma had been calmed down thanks to Dash's kindness and has chosen to make Eggman pay for abandoning him but now was time to face him and get back the Chaos emeralds he had taken, before he feeds them to Chaos, suddenly a rumbling sound was heard as Dash, Gamma, Tifa and Knuckles looked up to see the Egg carrier
"What is THAT" Knuckles asked
"The Egg carrier and where its around" Tifa was about to say
"Eggman is close by" Dash said before Gamma's eyes turned red and it screeched in anger
"DASH" A familiar voice shouted, Dash looked to see Sonic and Amy who FINALLY caught up to them
"Thank goodness we finally caught up with you" Amy said as she landed on the ground before spotting Gamma
"THAT THING AGAIN" Amy said in shock
"I GOT IT" Sonic said as he was about to attack but Dash got in his way
"WHOA, WHOA easy there…Gamma's not our enemy" Dash told Sonic and Amy
"What" Sonic asked
"Come again" Amy asked
"Long story short, he was hurt when we crashed landed and Dash helped him out, now he's on our side" Tifa explained, Sonic and Amy both looked at Gamma whose eyes were yellow with caution
"Are…you guys SURE about that" Sonic asked
"Yeah I mean he tried to crush us" Amy added
"Call it an incident of the lion with the thorn in its paw" Dash told them, Sonic and Amy looked at each other
"He's your friend" Amy told Sonic, since he had been with Dash longer than her, he knows him better
"Well…I guess if he's okay with you Dash…I trust you" Sonic said
"Thanks" Dash said before Sonic noticed Knuckles behind Tifa and Dash
"Hey if ain't mister tall, scary and angry" Sonic said
"Hey if it ain't the loudmouth in the spandex" Knuckles said before the two laughed a bit
"Supergirl, this is Knuckles the echidna guardian of the Master emerald" Dash introduced his "mom from another dimension" to his "uncle from another dimension"
"Pleasure" Knuckles said
"Charmed" Amy replied
"Did you guys see the Egg carrier go by here" Sonic asked
"Kind of hard to miss something THAT big" Tifa said sarcastically
"Funny" Sonic said
"We need to get on that carrier and confront Eggman before he feeds the emeralds he has to Chaos" Dash said
"And make our problems even bigger" Knuckles said, remembering the last time Eggman fed Chaos an emerald, Dash then turned to Gamma
"Gamma, care to give us a lift up to the carrier, get some payback from Eggman" Dash asked Gamma who screeched in response before he lowered his head to let Dash climb on
"Right on" Dash said as he climbed up n Gamma
"Sonic, Knuckles, climb on, Amy would you mind given Tifa a lift" Dash asked her
"Not at all" Amy answered as Sonic and Knuckles climbed into Gamma's large, left hand
"We take the fight to Eggman, we get on the carrier, find those emeralds and then take care of Chaos" Dash told them before they took off, Amy then grabbed Tifa by her hands and took off into the sky to chase after Eggman but then the group heard what sounded like a plane approaching them and with it was Tails, Ka-Zar and Mugin the latter was riding in the plane that was being cybernetically controlled by Jarvis (Which is the Tornado 2)
"TAILS, oh man am I ever glade to see your chrome dome head" Sonic said
"It was a rough landing but I'm okay, guys Eggman's got his hands on two more emeralds" Tails told
"Two more, that would make Chaos's number of emeralds six" Dash then pulled out his Chaos emerald
"If he gets his hands on the last one…Tails, take care of this" Dash told Tails as he threw the emerald to him
"Whatever happens Eggman CANNOT get his hands on that last emerald" Dash told Tails before putting in in a containment compartment in his armor, Tails then noticed Supergirl
"Wait, is that…SUPERGIRL" Tails asked
"In the flesh" Amy said
"She came into help us" Sonic answered
"Dash, we've GOTTA hurry" Tifa said, Tails then looked to see that people and a giant thing that he didn't know were with them
"Um, who are these people Dash" Tails asked
"Same goes for that gorilla and that…that…is that a floating mask" Dash asked
"Ka-Zar is my name, that Mugin my father" Ka-Zar said
"His father is a mask" Amy asked Tifa
"You got me sister" Tifa answered
"Explain later" Dash and Tails said at the same time
"Wait a minute, how did Eggman get a handle on TWO emeralds" Sonic asked Tails
(Inside the carrier)
"Sir we have incoming" One of the robots said before showing him the group heading towards the carrier
"WHAT…Tifa and GAMMA with that HEDGEHOG, what is the meaning of this" Eggman asked
"I am unsure sir, but it appears Gamma is helping them" The same robot answered
"That ungrateful robot, I built him up from scrap metal…oh well…doesn't matter" Eggman said as he was about to press the detonation control for Gamma's device
"Goodbye Gamma, you showed such promise" Eggman said as he pressed it only for nothing to happen
"What" Eggman said as he tried the detonation switch again and again before he grunted and growled
"WHY ISN'T THE DEVICE WORKING" Eggman asked his robot servant who ran a test on Gamma
"The detonation device has been removed from Gamma, sir" The robot answered he wondered how but then he looked at Tifa and put the pieces together
"That traitorous BACKSTABBER, SEND OUT THE DIVE BOMBERS, BRING THEM DOWN" Eggman yelled
"AT ONCE SIR" The robot said before Eggman reclined in his command chair before turning to face…FROGGY
"Well, my little amphibious friend one way or another you WILL cough up those two emeralds" Eggman told Froggy
(Outside)
"A FROG, are you KIDDING ME" Knuckles asked
"I'm seriously not lying here, Ka-Zar's frog buddy swallowed TWO Chaos emeralds and Eggman's robots picked him up before we could grab him" Tails explained
"We must save him" Ka-Zar said
"We will" Tails said
"Sir, I suggest we rescue…Froggy before he cuts him open" Jarvis told Tails
"Or serves himself up some frog legs" Tails muttered before several Dive bomber robots came out of the carrier
"HEADS UP WE HAVE INCOMING" Knuckles yelled
"Oh man not THESE guys again" Dash muttered
"We can't waste time with these bird brains again" Sonic said
"You got that right Tails, Supergirl think you two can stall these guys while the rest of us get on the carrier and hunt Eggman down" Dash asked
"You got it" Amy told him
"Consider it done" Tails answered
"Sorry Tifa, I'm gonna need both hands" Amy told Tifa as she threw her towards Dash
"WHOOOA" Tifa yelled before Dash caught her
"A little warning next time would be nice" Tifa said
"Ka-Zar we will go with the hedgehog on the carrier" Mugin told his son
"Yes father" Ka-Zar answered
"Gamma get us down on the carrier" Dash told Gamma who screeched in response before the two flying heroes went ahead of them
"Ready for round two" Tails asked Amy
"Oh yeah" Amy answered before she clapped her hands together so hard that a vicious shockwave erupted from her palms and pushed the huge group of Dive bombers away before Tails started blasting them with the various guns that his War machine armor was equipped with meanwhile the Tornado 2 and Gamma moved into drop off their passengers
"Tifa, can you guide us through the carrier" Dash asked
"Absolutely" She answered
"Gamma go help Tails and Supergirl, take down as many of the Dive bombers as you can" Dash told Gamma who screeched in agreement before flying off to do what it was told to do
"Have fun" Knuckles said
"Where to" Ka-Zar asked
"This way" Tifa said as she took off with Dash, Ka-Zar, Mugin and Knuckles behind her but Eggman was watching them from the command deck, he then activated the intercom
"Tifa, welcome back I hope you haven't come back to beg for forgiveness well you can forget it" Eggman said
"Don't let him rattle you, Tifa you made the right choice" Dash told her
"Thanks" She answered
(With Amy, Tails and Gamma)
The three were keeping the Dive bombers at bay so that the other heroes could search for the Chaos emeralds that Eggman had, Tails was blasting down robot after robot as they tried to swarm him but Amy came in and bulldozed her way through them with a little help from Gamma
"These things are as annoying as roaches" Amy said as she burnt several of them with her heat vision as Gamma shot them down with his machine gun arm and shoulder
"You got that right" Tails said, he then deployed small drones from his body armor that attacked the Dive bomber robots with electrical discharges
"Jarvis" Tails said
"What can I do for you sir" Jarvis asked
"See if you can hack into these robots, we ain't gonna be able to win this with force alone" Tails said
"Attempting hack, now sir" Jarvis answered as Amy blew some Dive bombers away from Tail as they tried to attack him
"We better get this done with so we can get in there and help Dash and the others" Amy told Tails
"Trust me, I've SEEN what Dash can do, he's got this" Tails answered ad Gamma flew past the two in order to whack several Dive bombers out of its way before grabbing three more in its large, left hand before crushing them, Gamma screeched loudly at how free it felt
"Wow" Tails muttered
"Yeah, the things a BEAST" Amy replied
"Sir, the hack was unsuccessful, Eggman's firewall program is a force to be reckoned with" Jarvis told Tails
"Crap…guess we'll have to do this the old fashion way" Tails muttered
(With Dash and the others)
Dash and the others were being led by Tifa through the massive air ship
"MAN, this place is huge" Knuckles said
"Father, one man built this…monster of metal" Ka-Zar asked
"Impressive, is it not" Eggman's voice called through the intercoms
"Not really but it'll be a real sight when its in PIECES egg-head" Sonic replied
"My masterpiece, HIGHLY unlikely" Eggman replied, suddenly the walls shifted and separated Dash, Sonic and Tifa from Ka-Zar, Knuckles and Mugin
"WAAAAAAAAAAH" The groups shouted as they were literally thrown through the walls and separated
"Whoa, where are we" Dash asked Tifa as the two recovered from the sudden movement, she then looked around and knew where they were
"The combat training room, but it's a LONG way from the control room from here" Tifa said
"Great, now what" Sonic asked
"Is there another way to get to the control room from here, Tifa" Dash asked
"Yeah there's an elevator shack nearby, if we take it up a few levels we should arrive at the command center" She answered as the three walked over to the elevator shaft Tifa mentioned
"Stand back" Dash said as he popped his knuckles before he used his strength to pry open the elevator shaft and the three started climbing up
"Up we GO" Sonic said as he started climbing
"So, what you said to Gamma about having everyone you've ever loved taken from you" Tifa said
"When did that happen" Sonic asked
"When Dash helped Gamma out of a jam that turned him over to our side" Tifa answered
"Seriously you wanna talk about that NOW of all places" Dash asked her
"Well, that we got a minute to breath, yeah" She answered, Dash then sighed
"Eggman has created many destructive things, but the most destructive monsters you could ever dream of…took my friends, brothers and sisters in arms…even my parents away from me, I just don't wanna see what happened to me happen to anyone else" Dash answered
"Oh man" Sonic muttered, he knew from personal experience what losing a loved one feels like
"Wow, that's a little dark" She said
"We can save the whole story for later when we don't have the fate of Station square in our hands" Dash said as he and Tifa continued to climb
*Poor guy* Tifa said in her head
"Hey Dash, look I totally agree that this is not the BEST place for this but I'm gonna go ahead and say it while we're not being chased by killer robots" Sonic said
"Well, spit it out then" Dash said
"I know what its like to not have your parents around" Sonic said
"Really" Dash asked
"Yeah, my parents are dead" Sonic answered
*So…grandmother and grandfather are gone…things ARE different here* Dash said in his mind
"When did they die" Dash asked
"My dad was killed when I was about to turn ten and my mother followed about a year ago…breast cancer" Sonic answered
"At least you had ONE of them around for a while…I lost both of mine when I was eleven" Dash answered
"You mean when Eggman's machines killed them" Tifa asked, Dash stopped climbing which made the other two stop in their tracks, Dash paused before answering
"They weren't machines Tifa…they were something much…MUCH worse" Dash answered as he continued to climb and so did Sonic and Tifa now more confused of Dash's mysterious connection to Eggman
(With Knuckles, Ka-Zar and Mugin)
The three were trying to find their way back to the others
"So, what is it with you and the floating mask" Knuckled asked Ka-Zar
"Father is not a mask, father is God of jungle, he raised me, you have look of powerful warrior" Ka-Zar said
"But his rough appearance hides deep scars of his past" Mugin said
"And what does a talking mask know anything about my past" Knuckles asked
"Father reads the soul of a person" Ka-Zar answered
"You have experienced great glory in battle yet when your father was so battle hungry you chose to turn away from it all…and the price of your choice was" Mugin was about to say
"Shut it your floating pile of firewood…look what I did has haunted me, but I don't want to get too far into it, especially not right now, OKAY" Knuckles asked
"As you wish but might I offer you one piece of advice" Mugin asked, Knuckles grunted before answering
"What is it" Knuckles asked
"Do not be stuck in the past echidna or you will never have a future" Mugin told him
"Thanks for the fortune telling and my name is Knuckles" Knuckles replied
"Knuckles, me Ka-Zar, this Mugin" Ka-Zar said
"Great, now were all friends" Knuckles said sarcastically before he sensed something
"Hold it" Knuckles said
"What is it" Ka-Zar asked
"I can sense it as well a powerful energy is radiating nearby" Mugin said
"It's…SHARDS OF THE MASTER EMERALD" Knuckles said
"Master emerald" Ka-Zar asked
"I heard tale that it is the source of the other emeralds powers, near-infinite in its power" Mugin said
"That it could be and its NEARBY, COME ON" Knuckles said as he sprinted off
"But what of friends that help us find Froggy" Ka-Zar asked
"Then you two go find them, I came here for the Master emerald shards, I'll join you after I find them" Knuckles said before sprinting off
"He very…reckless father" Ka-Zar asked Mugin
"He DOES have a warrior's pride, I just pray that such pride doesn't get him killed, come son we must reunite with our comrades" Mugin told his son before the two went off in another direction
(With Knuckles)
Knuckles was right, the final three shards for the Master emerald were onboard the Egg carrier and even though he had to break through some SERIOUS lines of defense to get at them he collected every, shattered piece
"FINALLY…now all that's left to do is get them back to Angel island and reconstruct the Master emerald" Knuckles said before a familiar ball of light appeared
"What the, OH NO, HECK NO" Knuckles said as he backed away from the orb
"You know something, I've had ENOUGH of flashbacks or WHATEVER your doing to me and to tell you the truth there's no way, now HOW am I gonna be taken back, GAAH" Knuckles grunted as the ball of light violently rammed into his face and forced him into the vision it wanted to show him
(Vision)
Knuckles was once again brought into a vision the ball of light quit literally FORCED upon him
"UH ANCESTORS HELP MY BONES, NOT THIS" Knuckles said before he got up and saw the pathway to the shrine of the Master emerald but at night, however you couldn't tell what with the vicious blazes of fire around the place like it was the end of the world
"Again…what the heck" Knuckles muttered before he decided to just suck it up and see what the orb of light wanted to show him, he walked up to the shrine only to see the same Echidna girl he saw before on the ground
"HEY, HEY ARE YOU OKAY" Knuckles asked as he ran to her side
"I couldn't…stop them" Tikal said
"Stop WHO, what's happened here, what happened to the shrine" Knuckles asked
"They came and, and my father, I had no idea…how bad this would turn out, I'm shocked" Tikal said before Knuckles helped her up, they looked in the center of the shrine only to see the Master emerald but it wasn't green like normal…it was black as the night
"THE MASTER EMERALD" Knuckles said
"I have to stop this" Tikal said before she ran off
"H-HEY, WAIT A MINUTE" Knuckles tried to stop her, but his vision suddenly turned white and the vision world faded
(Reality)
Knuckles was on his back after getting hit in the face with the ball of light, he came to and shook his head, still feeling some pain from the hit he got
"Note to self…don't make those balls of light angry" Knuckles said before he got to his feet
"Now that I got the shards, I better go help the others like I said I would" Knuckles said before taking off to find the others
And that is the conclusion to the 10th chapter, I so hope you guys liked it
