COME A ONE, COME A'ALL to the final chapter of the Sonic Legacy Origins story, this is what I have been working towards for MONTHS and MONTHS and MONTHS BABY
But now it's time…to DELIVER
Chapter 14 One ends another begins
(8 Months later)
Eight months had passed since the battle against Chaos, ever since then Station square has been restored thanks to the vastness of Tails's corporation and with the aid of the other heroes, the city was rebuilt in no time, the mayor of the city was so grateful to Dash that she even handed him a check for ten million dollars half of which he donated to worthwhile causes like orphanages and wounded veteran organizations (Which is the way it SHOULD be in real life if you ask me, money should be spent on orphanages, children hospitals and of course the brave men and women who give everything even their very LIVES for our freedom) and the rest, it was used to keep his promise to Tifa and help her sister, Ruby, what was left was given to Tifa to help keep Ruby strong, Dash didn't need the money but what Tifa did with the rest of the money was nothing short of grand, Tifa had an old-style food dinner built in downtown Station square and named after the man who helped save her sister the "Dash-in dinner" (Which is kind of like the dinner Gibbs goes to from NCIS) right now Dash was talking to his family over the phone in the dinner while his hero friends, all but Gamma were being treated to a free meal by Tifa, she had it closed down so she could treat her friends to a private dinner, though there were fans outside trying to get in and get an autograph or a picture and of course, the parasitic news people looking for an interview
"Yeah, it's been great here, Zen how's everyone else doing over there" Dash asked
"Well Bella, Joey, Keith and Betty all miss they're big brother but other than that everything has been just as peaceful as ever…but Betty wants to know when you're coming home" Zen answered
"Yeah…um…that's the thing Zen…I've been doing some thinking" Dash tried to say
"You've decided to stay in Station square, haven't you" Zen asked
"Yeah, I…made that choice about a month ago, I had to do some serious thinking as much as I'll miss you guys, I feel like I can do some good over here, you get me" Dash asked
"Of course, my boy…every child must eventually make a choice to either stay with the nest or leave and forge a life for themselves, I say it was time for you to move on so to speak…we're sure gonna miss you being around here" Zen said
"I know but I'm only a phone call or a plan ride away…tell Bella to keep up with her studies, Joey and Keith to behave and Betty to not be sad" Dash told his adopted father
"I know and the kids know, you know that I love you Dash, even thought we ain't blood" Zen was about to say
"Family is more than just blood ties Zen…love you to" Dash replied
"You got that right, my boy and you know that I love you to Dash…do call every once in a while, now, will you" Zen replied before he hung up Dash couldn't help but chuckle
"I promise, Zen, bye" Dash replied before he hung up and walked back over to his friends
"Dash, you okay" Sonic asked his friend as he chowed down on a MEGA-SIZED burger, Dash then took a seat next to him
"Yeah, I'm okay, just told my adopted dad that I'm gonna be staying in Station square" Dash answered
"You sure about that" Amy asked as she was now munching on what was now her 8th meal
"I feel like it was something that I just had to do you know the old saying a bird sometimes has to leave the nest" Dash asked
"Sounds reasonable to me" Tails said
"By the way, Amy how can you devour a quadruple cheeseburger with bacon and everything on it, three large fries, a bowl of mac and cheese, ten chicken drumsticks and a FULL box of pop tarts and STILL be this hungry" Knuckles asked
"Kryptonian biology, I have to eat a LOT of calories" Amy answered
"A woman after my own heart" Sonic said
"In this case your own stomach" Tails said only for Amy to elbow him in the ribs which hurt him through his armor
"OW" Tails grunted
"MMMM, Tifa really knows how to cook" Knuckles said as he was munching on some barbecue ribs
"Yes, her food taste better than snail soup with worms and tree frog chili" Ka-Zar added, Sonic, Tails and Amy gulped at the sound of the gorilla's version of "food"
"Snail soup" Sonic asked
"Tree frog chili" Amy asked
"It goes good with water bug biscuits" Ka-Zar said
"Hmm, that actually sounds good" Knuckles said
"UGH, not you to" Tails said
"Hey, when you live on a floating island for a long time, you learn to eat nearly anything to survive…and I do mean ANYTHING, you guys haven't lived until you tried my rotisserie gator gizzards" Knuckles said
"OH, OH, Ka-Zar like to try" Ka-Zar said
"Maybe it'll go good with that tree frog chili you were talking about" Knuckles said
"Oh, yes, yes, good idea friend" Ka-Zar replied
"YIKES, remind me never to go to either Ka-Zar's OR Knuckle's for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a late-night meal" Tails said
"Ditto" Amy said, then Tifa entered the room with Dash's food, a chicken po boy, fries and a chili dog
"Here you go Dash, fresh off the grill" Tifa told him as she handed him the food
"How much do I owe you" Dash asked
"No need…for everything that you've done for me…you can eat here for free ANYTIME" Tifa said
"SCORE" Sonic, Tails and Amy said at the same time
"Hey, I said DASH eats here for free" Tifa said
"But we're his friends" Sonic said
"That doesn't mean that you guys get to eat for free, you guys aren't Dash" Tifa answered
"Aw man" Tails muttered
"Come on, Tifa REALLY" Amy asked
"Dash, come on man, talk some sense into her" Sonic said
"Sorry guys, her roof, her rules" Dash replied
"AAAW" Sonic, Tails and Amy pout at the same time
"Besides I don't think anyone can change Tifa's mind once it's been made up" Dash added
"Your damn right" Tifa replied before someone entered the dinner, it was Tifa's sister Ruby
"Oh, PERFECT, Dash I was waiting to introduce you to someone" Tifa said as Ruby walked up to the group (She was in a very punk rock girl-like outfit with white skin, blue eyes, dark red hair) Dash then stood up to address her
"Dash, I want you to introduce you to my little sister, Ruby Liao Long, Ruby this is the man who help us, Dash the hedgehog" Tifa introduced Ruby to Dash
"This is him" Ruby asked
"That's right" Tifa answered
"It's very nice to meet you Ruby" Dash told Ruby as he held out his hand to her which she took, and they shook hands
"Ruby, don't you have anything to say to Dash" Tifa asked her sister
"Right, um…Dash, Tifa said that you helped to get me out of that hospital" Ruby told him
"I didn't do it for the thanks, I did it because you needed help and I know that Tifa couldn't live without ya" Dash joked
"He's got that part down" Ruby told Tifa
"Oh, I see how it is, ganging up on your older sister, right" Tifa asked
"Yep" Dash and Ruby answered
"Ha, ha, very funny…but seriously Dash, thank you for the money, I owe you a lot" Tifa told Dash
"I don't want anything for doing what's right, I only did it because it was right and that's the only reason I do it" Dash replied
"You really are something special Dash…thank you" Tifa said before she suddenly kissed Dash on the lips which caught him off guard
"WHEW, oh snap, YOU GO BOY" Dash heard Sonic, Tails and Amy say as he reeled back from his first ever kiss
"Whoa…just…WOW" Dash said, shaking his head
"What, was that…awkward" Tifa asked
"No, no, it's not that it's just that…well, I'll be honest it was my first kiss…EVER, really" Dash answered
"Really" Tifa, Ruby and Amy asked at the same time
"Yeah, didn't really have the time for a romantic relationship, what with the…do I really need to repeat how and WHY I'm here" Dash said, Tifa got the message
"Oh, right, sorry" Tifa said
"What does he mean by that sis" Ruby asked
"That's a LONG story Ruby, was the kiss THAT bad though" Tifa asked Dash
"No, it was just…unexpected is all" Dash answered
"Well, now that, THAT is out of the way, why not eat your grub before it gets cold" Tifa said
"Can I join, I'm STARVING" Ruby said
"Absolutely, what will ya take" Tifa asked
"Um…how about a foot long, pickle and lettuce, shrimp Po boy, a BIG side order of popcorn chicken, another side order of hushpuppies a LARGE glass of fruit punch and a BIG chocolate milkshake" Ruby answered
"Whoa sis, you JUST got out of the hospital, you wanna go back in there with the mother of all stomachaches" Tifa asked
"I don't care, I've been eating that shitty hospital food for, I don't even REMEMBER how long" Ruby replied
"RUBY, you watch your mouth" Tifa replied, Dash and the others laughed a little
"That's my sister, the mouth of a sailor…but I love her anyway" Tifa said before she went back to prepare her sister's favorite meal, which she hasn't enjoyed in a LONG time but as she was watching from the window to the dinner, preparing her sisters food, she couldn't help but stare at Dash, he did SO much for her in the short amount of time that she has known him and yet she felt like she has known him forever, but one thing WAS clear
*Oh Dash…I think I love that hedgehog* Tifa said in her mind
(Dash's apartment)
Dash was laying on his bed in his recently purchased apartment where he was thinking about the things that happened in the past couple of days, looking at his mother's amulet which he was rolling in-between his fingers
*This was only the beginning, Eggman is still out there and things are only gonna get worse…no telling what this world's Eggman can do but at least I'm not alone here…MAN…what would dad and mom think of me now* Dash said in his mind
"I hope I'm making you two proud" Dash said, looking at his mother's amulet, wondering if his parents can hear his voice
(Meanwhile in the great beyond)
Unknown to Dash his parents, his world's Sonic and Amy Rose were looking down on their son and they couldn't be prouder of they're son for his show of courage, honor, wisdom and kindness in the face of such evil, especially against a foe that is much more different than the Eggman they've known for decades upon decades
"What do you think Ames…think we did okay with him" Sonic asked his beloved wife
"We did more than okay Soniku…we did GREAT, I just wish we could be there for him when things get really tough" Amy replied, Sonic then held his wife close by his side
"We WILL be with him, maybe not physically but we'll be watching over him for sure…always" Sonic answered
"I just hope he'll be okay, my baby boy" Amy said
"He's not a baby anymore my pink princess, our boy has turned into a man…turned into a fine, fine man, did you see the way he handled Chaos, he was MAGNIFICENT" Sonic said with pride
"Yes, he was Soniku…YES, HE WAS, I just wish we could tell him that in person" Amy said
"One day we will my pink queen, one day…but not today, for now let him rest, he'll need it for what fate has in store for him" Sonic said
"Be strong my baby boy, BE STRONG" Amy said
"Come on Ames, give the boy some credit…after all…he IS our son, he's got his mother's unshakable fighting spirit and his good, old man's courage and wit…what bad guy could possibly break a combination like THAT" Sonic asked his wife, she chuckled with a smirk
"You're right, he is our son…but even after all these years that ego of yours is still as great as your speed Soniku" Amy replied
"You know you love it" Sonic said
"Do I know it…yes…yes, I do" Amy replied
"Our boys gonna make some large waves in this world" Sonic said
"I just hope he'll be careful, because if he ain't I'm gonna have some SERIOUS words with him" Amy said
"I'm sure he knows about that" Sonic said

That is the end of the first story in my Sonic Origins series, I hope you all liked it because I got some AWESOME stuff heading your way that will push the limits of creativity
Anyway, I hope to see you all sometime in the future whereas for me I will be working on more for my S.F chronicles series, trying to come up with new ideas to push the limits of my creativity with a new Sonic legacy story and I MAY throw in another one-shot or lemon story…maybe, maybe not, it all depends on the vibes I get from the inspirations, you dig?
