Ok, no-one hate me for this it's a request and you know I'm trying to do those more so, this one's for you, Kot1cExpert521! (sorry for the angst lol + slightly OCD!Luke)

Luke x Percy- "What did you need to tell me?"

Luke was screwed. Completely and utterly screwed. How on this gods-awful Mother Gaia Earth was he supposed to kill this boy? It was what Kronos had dictated, but he was sure he couldn't go through with it.

He just looked up at Luke, confused sea green eyes under scrunched black brows and raven hair which flung itself about in such an irritating fashion that Luke just wanted to adjust and make straight. That's the way Luke liked things. Neat and tidy and straight. Straight.

It was an unusual quality for a son of Hermes to have OCD- Hermes wasn't exactly renowned for his 'organizational skills'. This, Luke reflected bitterly, only proved to show how much of an outcast Luke was. He didn't fit in with the other, happy-go-lucky cabins who left their stuff everywhere, making SURE that NOTHING was tidy and everything was messy and it really just made Luke want to throw something if he's being honest here.

It's like, how hard is it to pick up a sock, jeez Megan!...

What was he talking about again? Ah yes.

Kronos wants the deed done soon, meaning that Luke would have to try to get Percy alone- which was hard to do when your target is an extremely ADHD twelve year old boy who's hobbies include moving, stabbing things and talking to everyone in sight.

Percy and him joked at the mess hall, the archery range, the pegasus stables- pretty much wherever one went, the other did too. Of course, Percy thought this was all about friendship, but to Luke, this was a tactic. Build up trust, so when it's pulled down its more painful. Just a tactic, right?

And, although he didn't know it, every day he was falling a little bit more in love with the cocky, arrogant, spitfire of a son of Posiedon.

Luke can still pinpoint the exact moment he knew the true depths of his feelings for Percy, and that was also the moment he knew that he would never love him back.

It was a hot day in Camp Half-Blood, and the Demeter kids, worried about the health of their plants, had asked Percy to purify some salt water by taking the salt out of the water and then dropping the fresh water on the flower patches.

Percy was taking a break, and ran over to join Luke, where he sat down on the bench next to him, stretched out like a lazy cat. All of a sudden, he sat up and let out a low whistle. "Do you see those girls in Aphrodite? Man, are they pretty." He had said, awestruck.

Suddenly, Luke had felt a knife-like pain to his chest and, gazing at his wavy black locks, and dreamy sea-green eyes, he knew. He was in love.

However, as soon as that epiphany struck him, he realized the weight of the words that had come out of Percy's mouth prior to his 'epiphany'. Percy was straight, and he would never love him back- and Kronos wanted to kill him!

After this incident, Luke started to forego meetings with Jackson, however he continued to observe him as the days went by, pleading with Kronos to spare Percy's life. Kronos became more and more impatient, and he finally conceded that, if Percy agreed to join the Titans' cause his life would be spared and he would be able to live in harmony with him, but, as Kronos said warningly, this was a very unlikely incidence and most likely the boy would have to die, but still Luke held out hope against hope that Percy would listen to reason and join the Titan's cause.

Finally, Luke managed to lure the boy away after a long day of activities, under the guise of a talk, and tried not to appear too love struck.

As they sat, drinking Cokes and talking, Luke threw a can into the bushes off the side, before immediately regretting it as the dryads would most definitely hit him round the head.

But still he focused on the mission at hand; saving Percy's life. After a particular round of laughter, Percy sobered up a bit and asked THE question- "What did you need to tell me?"

Cautiously, he approached the topic, but, as he expected, Percy was steadfast in his beliefs, and he couldn't turn him.

With a heavy heart, Luke summoned the scorpion and watched it, in slow-motion, attack the boy he loved.

And as he turned to leave, all he could hear were his agonized screams.
