Journey Through Remnant

Chapter 9: Ride on Right Time

Teachers' Dormitory, Tsukasa's Room...

"So, to recap, Another Riders are just people who had been given the powers of Riders that had been stolen. And there were 4 new Riders, but they had been erased from the timeline along with all our memories of them." Eiji reiterated. He had spent the last hour or so listening to Tsukasa talk about a new Kamen Rider named Zi-O.

"Maybe 5 or more." Tsukasa corrected, taking a Rider Cards from his pocket and passing it to Eiji. The Zero-One Rider Card.

"Alright then, so no one but you remember Zi-O and his friends." Eiji said, handing Tsukasa the Card back.

"I think so. I haven't seen Kaitou yet, so I'm not completely sure yet," And he wasn't in the mood yet to meet his old not-a-friend any time soon. "It was fortunate for you to have run into it. Anyone else wouldn't be able to even scratch it," The hardest part of Another Riders was the fact that only the powers of the original Rider could truly destroy them. "You got any more questions?"

"I got one. Who created Another OOO? You said that those Time Jackers had been the one who stole our powers."

"I don't know yet," Tsukasa emphasized. That was currently a mystery for tomorrow. This day had been a huge roller-coaster, and he needed some rest. "Here," Tsukasa tossed Eiji a spare blanket, "The couch is yours."

The next day...

As Cinder had said the day before, words get around fast. When Tsukasa had gotten up the next day for breakfast, he overheard some students talk about a new arrival. Apparently, someone had seen Eiji arrived with Team RWBY, and things went from there.

"Good morning! How are you, Professor Kadoya?" Professor Port greeted him as he entered the Teachers' Lounge. "Come sit with us." He gestured to the seat next to him and Professor Oobleck. To be or not to be a dick, that was the question. He decided the former was better and sat across the rather room. Tsukasa rather not hear more tales from Port's youth.

Of course, disaster struck less than two minutes later. Tsukasa didn't know how but Eiji came into the room chatting with Professor Ozpin.

"Ah, Professor Kadoya, I see that you arrived earlier than usual." While that had been true, he usually gets ready for the classes that were forced onto him an hour or so later. It was a Sunday, and he wanted to try and avoid meeting up with anyone else. Seeing as he was in a room with four other people, that had failed miserably. However, he was more preoccupied with the fact that Eiji was with Ozpin.

"You see, I bumped into Mr. Hino on my way here. He seemed lost, so I brought him along," The headmaster explained, sensing the Destroyer's confusion. Right... he had forgotten to show him the way here the day before. "Now then, we have a small matter to discuss." 'Well, this day is gonna be spectacular.'

"Mainly about your friend's current situation. Currently, there is one position that we could give him," So that was what this was about, "The only available spot is assistant Combat Instructor."

"Isn't that my job?" Tsukasa asked.

"Technically, yes. However, with Professor Goodwitch busy with helping General Ironwood and me with the Vytal Festival, you're temporarily the primary Combat Instructor."

"Wait a minute!" Eiji interrupted, "You didn't tell me I was gonna be his assistant!" Guess Ozpin neglected to mention that fact. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day.

The next day...

It took a bit to convince Eiji he wasn't going to end up walking around carrying all of Tsukasa's stuff. The Rider has apparently heard the stories about him being a terrible teacher or mentor. Only 50% of them are true. At the very least, Eiji could now cover for him when he needs to go out for anything.

They had to spend the entirety of the previous day teaching the latest arrival in this World about it. At least Eiji would probably not blow their cover anytime soon. Hopefully...

Interrupting his thoughts, the school bell rang, signaling the start of the school day. Almost instantly, a sudden influx of students entered his classroom. And just as he thought, both Emerald and Mercury had come as well. He had to keep an eye on them. But now, he had other things to do.

"First of all, I am sure all of you have heard by now," Tsukasa announced to the classroom. He can be professional when he wants to, "Starting from today, Professor Eiji Hino would be joining us as my assistant." He finished gesturing to said person, who simply bowed. Most of the class clapped out of politeness, though he noticed Team RWBY (well, half of them) seemed more excited.

"And as a demonstration, Professor Hino would be fighting one of the Teams." That elicited sounds of surprise from everyone, including Eiji himself. Did he forget to mention that to him? Probably.

"Hang on a moment! I didn't agree to that!" "Be professional, Eiji. Now then, who would be your opponents?" He ran down the list of attendees. Not Team CRDL; they stood absolutely no chance. Team JNPR had already fought him and lost badly. That leaves...

"Team RWBY? Please come forward." This may seem unnecessarily cruel for Tsukasa to force Eiji to fight them of all people, but they were the only ones left that won't be completely wiped out within a minute. Of course, he was also being an asshole. That was just his way.

"I don't need to tell you to go easy on them, right? Don't overdo it." That was all he said to his new assistant before leaving, ignoring the protests coming from said assistant...

With Eiji...

He knew he shouldn't have taken the offer. He should have realized being Tsukasa's assistant would end badly. It's his first day, nay, his first ten minutes, and now he's being forced to fight his new friends. He didn't want to do it. But Tsukasa had left him with absolutely no choice.

"Don't worry, Mr- I mean Professor Hino," Ruby seemed to have noticed his reluctance, "We'll be fine."

"Yeah! We won't beat you up too bad." Yang, on the other hand, was more excited at the prospect of facing him.

"Now then, fighters ready?!" Tsukasa announced from the sidelines. Well, here goes nothing.

Slapping the OOO Driver onto his waist, Eiji took out the Taka, Tora, and Batta Medals. Inserting the three Core Medals into their respective slots. Tilting the Driver, he scanned the Medals with the O Scanner. "Henshin!"

Taka! Tora! Batta! Ta-To-Ba! TaToBa TaToBa!

Transforming, he noticed several of the students had taken out their Scrolls and were recording him. Eiji wasn't sure if that was against the rules or not. He hadn't got the time to read them yet. Tsukasa didn't seem to mind.

"Ready? Go!" And Team RWBY charged at him...

In Ozpin's Office...

Ozpin was not sure what his newest employees were up to. Judging from Hino's reaction, he didn't know Professor Kadoya was going to set up this match either. At least, Ozpin will be able to gain new information regarding their abilities. The headmaster of Beacon had reviewed the two footage from the other day multiple times.

Just like with Tsukasa, Ozpin didn't know how powerful or skilled Eiji Hino truly was. Just that he most likely could use that silver-gray form the former had used during the Breach...

In Combat Class...

Eiji was just able to bring out the Medajalibur before Blake Belladonna managed to slash him with her weapon. If Team RWBY was anything, most of them were insanely quick. Especially their leader. They were able to dodge most of his attacks and team up to hit him while he focused on one of their teammates. They evidently had remembered the way he fights from the forest. That means he had to shake things up.

Taking out a new yellow Core Medal, this one depicting a cheetah, Eiji replaced the Batta Medal with it. Once again, he scanned the OOO Driver.

Taka! Tora! Cheetah!

Like before, three manifestations of Eiji's Medals with the green Batta Medals being replaced with the yellow Cheetah Medal. The crest on his chest now showing a new symbol as the Batta portion was now showing a part of the Cheetah Core Medal. In addition to that, the Batta Legs turned yellow and gained slightly more armor.

With the new Cheetah Legs, Eiji was much faster and was able to catch up to his opponents easily and then some. Team RWBY themselves didn't expect that and weren't ready for the sudden switch in strategy. "Sorry about this." Eiji apologized as he slashed at Weiss Schnee. He was really starting to regret helping Tsukasa with the mission that Eiji still didn't anything about. All the wanderer told him was that Ozpin was hiding something and left it at that.

"Ice Flower!" Ruby and Weiss tried to use the same combo they used against Another OOO. Unfortunately for them, he knew what that would lead to. It was easy to dodge each shot and get close enough to stop their attack. "Take this!" That was all heard as a warning before Eiji was launched across the arena by Yang. Getting back up, he noticed that the entirety of Team RWBY had regrouped.

At least he has some space to think up a new plan. The fastest way to end this fight was to use a Full Combo. With his mindset, he took out a third yellow Medal with a lion depicted on it. Returning the OOO Driver into its original position and removed the Taka Medal. Inserting the new Medal in its place, Eiji scanned the new trio of medals.

Lion! Tora! Cheetah! Rata Rata... RaTora~Tah!

With the three yellow Core Medals based on large felines, OOO transformed into the Scorching Combo, LaToraTah. While his main body had remained the same, his helmet now changed to resemble that of a lion's, as well as his eyes turning blue. Feeling a strong surge of energy, Eiji prepared himself...

Ozpin's Office...

Assuming that each color belonged to a different set, Ozpin theorized that the newest addition to Beacon's staff has at least two more different forms, one for the red and green Medals. The ability to mix-and-match his different Medals would certainly help in certain situations. Those abilities would also help in the fight against her. He just had to try his best to convince the two Riders to help him.

"Ozpin? What is it that you wish to discuss?" Ironwood said over the Scroll's speaker. Beacon's Headmaster had called the General to see if he had any new information regarding the strange monsters that attacked the village.

"Nothing new yet. My investigation team hadn't found anything conclusive." Still no clues. Their only leads were the mysterious arrivals, and both of them aren't saying anything. Well, one of them at least wasn't. Ozpin didn't have the chance to ask Eiji Hino about the two that attacked his ally yet. The easiest way to find out the origins of the new threats was to use the Relic of Knowledge. However, without the Spring Maiden, Ozpin could not open the door guarding it.

"Ozpin, I have to ask. Do you think Tsukasa Kadoya truly does not know what those monsters were?" It was improbable that he doesn't. The way the wanderer fought it and the seemingly coincidental timing of their appearance means that there was some type of connection. Ozpin just didn't know what it was yet.

"No, I do not think so," Ozpin replied, "He had some idea as to what they were. He didn't seem interested in telling me yet."

"How about her? Do you think she is responsible for the monsters?" Ozpin doubted that was it either. She did not have the ability to make something like that, or at least he hoped...

Back with Eiji...

Team RWBY had been reduced to only Yang. Eiji had managed to take down both Blake and Weiss while Ruby had accidentally overused her Semblance, trying to keep up with him and exhausted her Aura. Bringing all their Auras down to the red shouldn't have been difficult, but Eiji didn't want to hurt them too badly accidentally and was pulling his punches. On the other hand, as Eiji soon learned, Yang was stronger the more hurt she was. Holding back was the worst idea against her.

"Ahhh!" She yelled as she tried to land a punch on him. It also turned out angering her also made her stronger. Defeating her teammates first was also a terrible idea. It was a good thing Eiji could run faster than her.

"Stop moving so fast!" Shotgun gauntlets were bad when in close quarters. However, the Lion Head gave Eiji an ability that would help him with that. Right before he would make an attempt to strike her, OOO's helmet shone brightly with intense heat. That was enough to temporarily blind her, letting Eiji attack from behind quickly with the Tora Claws. Time to finish this.

Grabbing the O Scanner again, Eiji scanned the Core Medals for his finisher.

Scanning Charge!

"Seiya!"

Taking a quick step back, three yellow rings materialized in front of Eiji, creating a straight path to Yang, who was still dazed from the light. Charging through the rings, the light from his helmet glowed brightly again. Once Eiji got close enough, he struck her with the Tora Claws in a cross formation. With that last attack, Yang Xiao Long's Aura finally turned red...

Shortly after...

After the match finally ended, Eiji apologized profusely to Team RWBY. They had mostly taken their defeat in stride, except for Yang, who was a bit bitter at her loss. Then came the actual lesson, which he had to do alone as Tsukasa had stepped out when Eiji's fight had started.

"He said he had to use the toilet." "The toilet?!"

To put it simply, Tsukasa didn't go to the toilet. He had already come up with the perfect opportunity to investigate the school. He assumed Ozpin would be distracted with watching Eiji's fight with Team RWBY. That would leave him with a short window of time to try and check out some areas. Tsukasa knew that Eiji would end up dragging the fight out longer than it needs to be to make sure he doesn't seriously injure the students.

Tsukasa had thought that if there were anything Ozpin would be hiding, it would most likely be somewhere the Headmaster could easily keep an eye on, such as his tower. That had led to his slightly stupid idea to check out the elevator shaft within the tower. It wasn't that large for a leap for Tsukasa to assume there was a secret floor, as he had witnessed Ozpin and his entourage conspicuously go missing a while back. What he wasn't expect was the incredibly spacious corridor underground.

That was something Tsukasa could easily handle; this wasn't the first time he found himself in an underground hall. But this was the first time he found a comatose girl hooked up to a strange machine at the end of said hallway. Maybe.

Somewhere, in another World...

The Overseer of the Dimensional Research Branch of Foundation X was pleased. They had managed to locate the two Riders in the new World. News had traveled quickly that there were two new employees in one of the most prestigious academies of that World. Specifically, two people with strange abilities unlike those that are natural in that World.

Firstly, that meant the Foundation knows where it is safe to conduct their experiments. But more importantly, they could plan a preemptive attack. All he needed was the time and resources...

Somewhere in Vale...

As the sun shone brightly in the sky on a rooftop, a young man stood watching the people below go on with their day. The person dressed in light brown clothes with a gray scarf and cowl surveyed his surroundings.

That person had been going about his day watching his overlord continue living in the new timeline he had created. Within the time it took for him to blink, the young man found himself in a completely new environment, complete with a shattered. He did not know how he ended up in this strange city, but he felt he knew who was responsible for his sudden displacement—the Destroyer of Worlds. Woz just had to find him in this new World...

Destroy Everything!

Connect Everything!

A/N: This chapter came quickly because I had a stroke of inspiration.

Sorry if I seemed cruel with pitting Eiji against RWBY. And with this chapter, a new Rider had entered the game! However, unlike the others, Woz is here because I finally came up with a good storyline that would explain his sudden appearance. Of course, what I think is good may not necessarily be what you guys think is good.

Also, with this chapter, Tsukasa finds Ozpin's secret basement and Amber. Why so soon? I still have no idea. I only know that the next chapter would most likely be a wreck, as is common with this story. On a side note, Tsukasa is finally is getting clues as to what is going on.

There was an Ultraman reference in this chapter. Does that mean anything? Also have no idea. In regards to that fanfic I'm thinking of, it's most likely gonna be about Orb simply because I just rewatched Orb Origin Saga a few days ago. Maybe that's why I thought of that fanfic?

As always, I ask that you leave a review and tell me if there is anything you find wrong with this chapter or story.
