When Loki woke up from the dream no nightmare he saw that he was alone and he didn't want to be alone he wanted Natasha. Why wasn't Natasha there? Did she leave him? Why did no one want him? Loki wanted Natasha, she made him feel safe and he used to feel safe but then his Father no, no he was no longer his father. Loki thought Natasha wanted him but he was foolish. He was unworthy of love of life. That's what the guards told him and he didn't believe them then but he did now, another person left. So Loki cried for Natasha, Thor, the nightmare, his fears, he cried for everything. Loki barely registered the door opening he was too deep in his own head, his own falsehood, but then he felt 2 arms hug him, and he recognized them as the arms that would comfort him the many times when he woke up from nightmares, Natasha didn't leave him, she didn't leave him, she cared about him.

It had taken Loki at least 30 minutes to calm down it usually took Natasha longer it gets him calm his nightmares leaving him shaken and sometimes unable to go back to sleep he and Natasha would sit in bed with Loki in her arms and her holding him protectively or Natasha would sing him to sleep if she could and she enjoyed those moments when they would sit in silence and she knew he felt safe with being in her arms. Natasha having to talk to Loki about everything that was going on and what it was going to be like in the days looking forward, so she slowly untangled and unlaced his fingers from the hold on her neck she received whimpers of protest from the boy who didn't want to leave her embrace but they had to talk.

Loki for the first time seeing Natasha didn't like how she looked. She had blonde hair instead of her red hair and he didn't like it one bit, her red hair suited her better. The blonde hair reminded him of Sif. Loki walked over to Natasha bunny in hand and did a simple spell to change the color of her hair back to red. When Natasha saw what Loki did she was shocked he had changed her hair from blonde back to its original red.

"Loki changed my hair back." But Loki shook his head. He didn't like her hair like that. He wanted it red and it was going to stay that way.

"Loki I had to change my hair, bad people are after us and I had to change how I look so can you change my hair back." But Loki still shook his head no

"How about a deal when we're alone you can change my hair back to red but only when we're alone, deal?" Loki shook his head yes

"Okay and another thing we're going to be changing our names I'm no longer Natasha but Scarlett and you're no longer Loki but Levi my son but you don't have to call me Mom but only when we're out in public," Natasha said she didn't want to force Loki to do anything he didn't want to do, what she didn't know is Loki liked the idea of him being her being his mom and he shook his head yes that he understood. (I decided to change their cover name to Scarlett and Levi Johansson.)

"Are you hungry? Because I'm hungry." Natasha got a nod from Loki she hopes he talks soon

"Okay come on let's go get something to eat and also buy you a new outfit let's shop first then get food." Loki was still in the footsie that Natasha put him in last night and she also needed some other things.

"My hair please," Natasha said to Loki and he changed her hair back to blonde, satisfied she picked him up grabbing her wallet before they left. She knew there was a Target 10 blocks down, they were going to walk and stop at Mcdonalds later.

Natasha instantly regretted walking to the motel although Loki is light carrying him all the way made her arms hurt once they got into Target and she couldn't make him walk that was just wrong so she held him shifting him from hip to hip every 2 minutes or so and Natasha was glad that in New York people saw so many crazy things they weren't even surprised and didn't really care when something crazy happened, so seeing a kid in a footie pajamas was nothing new. When they got to Target Natasha got Loki an outfit for tomorrow's pictures for his fake identity and Natasha also picked out her own got Loki shoes, socks, underwear, and diapers hie nightmares always made him wet the bed he was potty trained is just the nightmares that affected him a lot and Natasha didn't want to change sheets every night. Natasha before leaving the store had put Loki on the sneakers she wouldn't carry him all the way to Mcdonalds, which was only 5 blocks away from the motel. When they entered Mcdondals Natasha felt Loki hold on to her hand tighter she guessed he didn't like the crowd of people that inhabited the fast-food restaurant, Natasha gave his hand a squeeze to calm his nerves and he squeezed back. They only had to wait in line for 3 minutes. The line was short but the place was packed.

"Welcome to Mcdondals how may I take your order." The worker asked her

"Can I get one 6 chicken nugget happy meal and the 10 piece nugget meal," Natasha said

"Type of drink."

"A coke please."

"That'll be $9.78." Natasha handed her the 10 dollar bill that was the leftover change from the Target run, the worker handed her the ticket. They were waiting for a good 20 minutes and Loki didn't like it one bit. He kept shifting from each foot and then he started tugging at Natasha's shirt. He didn't want to be in the restaurant anymore.

"Order 214!" screamed Natasha was relieved. Loki had been non-stop tugging at her shirt and she knew it was due to the overcrowded environment she thought he would've taken it well he was doing fine in Target but maybe it was because Target hadn't been so small and people weren't so close to him. Natasha grabbed the food and quickly exited she didn't want Loki to have a meltdown right in the store or worse a panic attack.

They walked in silence but Loki's grip on her hand was tighter than before and Natasha saw his eyes wry sometimes looking behind his shoulder and from side to side and Natasha knowing the signs herself when someones is on the run and constantly looking over your shoulder and prepared at any minute to run she knew it all too well, she was always but more secretive than Loki was always watching out to see if anyone was following them and no one wasn't. Loki kept this up until they got in the motel room, she knew he was nervous they were on the run and she hadn't exactly told him who they were running from but she knew, sure enough, Odin would know of Loki and that Thor helped get him out.

"Loki I won't let anyone take you. I promise. As long as you're with me you're safe." Natasha wanted him to feel safe, she didn't want him to think she would hand him over she would protect him because as much as she hates to admit it Loki had woken up to some maternal instinct she never thought she had one. Natasha knew she couldn't be a mother so she never thought about kids and she never got attached to any kid.

Loki seemed to ponder on the information before nodding his head, Natasha took that as a good thing he may not trust her fully but he seemed to trust her at the moment seeing as she was the only one who was with him and making sure he was okay. Loki had enjoyed his chicken nuggets and this time unlike the other times he had finished his food and Natasha was glad he was getting his appetite back and wasn't in fear of it being poisoned or being snatched away. Loki has always gone to bed without any problem and Natasha knew it was due to all the things he had gone through that stopped him from acting like other children his age, bubbly and hyperactive but she knew when all of this past she was going to wish he was so hyperactive.
