The two Salvatore brothers were alone inside the living room of their Boarding house. Stefan was seated on the couch while Damon stood next to the window, watching their lawn slowly disappear as snow fell.

"How did Caroline come up with this trip anyways?" Damon asked as he continued looking out window, arms folded.

Stefan glanced at him. "Alaric pitched her the idea and she kinda just went with it." He answered.

A grin came across Damon's face.

"And for some reason she highly recommended that I tag along?" He couldn't fathom the idea of her possibly coming to terms of them becoming friends.

But Stefan nodded. "Yeah. She thinks that everyone could use a break from Mystic Falls."

Damon turned and looked down at him. "And who said I needed a break?" He smirked, turning back to the window.

Stefan rolled his eyes. "Damon, she's just being nice. You should try it."

Damon shook his head, dismissing Stefan's words. "Anyways. Bonnie? Is she coming too?"

Stefan's ears perked at the mention of Bonnie. He was glad that his brother had mentioned her, actually. "Of course. Caroline made sure of that." He was also curious. "Why do you ask?"

Damon brushed it off with a shrug. "With you being busy getting your romance going with Elena and all, I'm going to need someone to accompany me."

A guilty smile appeared on Stefan's face. "Then while I get my romance going with Elena. You should doing the same with Bonnie."

Damon whipped his head around to face him again. He had confused look displayed and he didn't respond.

Stefan found it entertaining. Entertaining enough that he had to look away in order to hide the smile that was creeping it's way across his face.

Damon took notice and grew annoyed with him so he began to walk away.

"Hold on," Stefan called out, stopping Damon in his tracks. "Im serious. Things have gotten a lot better between you two so I think you should try to keep that going."

Damon furrowed his brows. "And what exactly do you want me to do?" He asked.

Stefan looked around as he thought but nothing specific came to mind. "Look I just know that you have a thing for Bonnie."

Damon scoffed. "I need a drink if you're seriously going to continue this."

Stefan looked disappointed. "Damon, c'mon. Be serious."

Damon shrugged. "If you really think I have the hots for the Witch, you're terribly mistaken."

Stefan crossed his arms. "I don't think I am, Damon. Neither does Caroline and Elena."

Damon's face went blank at I think the mention of Caroline and Elena. "I think we're done here, Little Brother. I'll go pack my things."

He began to stride his way towards the door.

Stefan sighed. "Damon, we're not done talking."

Damon looked over his shoulder one last time. "Oh, we are." He grinned right before walking away, leaving Stefan alone to himself.

~ The Girls.

Bonnie, Elena, and Caroline were inside their dorm room. They were sitting criss crossed on their beds while snuggled up with blankets to keep away from the cold.

Bonnie faced Caroline. "How did you come up with trip? "

Caroline smiled brightly. "Alaric told me that we needed to get away from Mystic Falls for a bit. We owe ourselves a vacation."

Elena nodded. "Caroline's right. And it could be really fun for us all."

Caroline grinned. "Yeah, that's because you'll be busy with Stefan."

Elena scoffed, "C'mon guys, I was talking about us three."

Bonnie smirked. "Elena. We're your best friends. We know you and Stefan will want time together."

Caroline let out a short laugh. "I will have Matt to keep me company and Bonnie will have Damon. See? We'll all have fun."

Caroline sighed and gave a pleasant smile.

Bonnie furrowed her brows as her chin rested on her blanket covered knuckles. "Hold on Care. Can we go back to that Damon part?"

The smile on Caroline's face had fell. "What's wrong?"

Bonnie looked around in thought, "Uh I don't know, maybe it's that I'm being paired with Damon?"

Caroline pouted. "C'mon Bonnie. Admit that you like him. We both know it." She said referring to Elena.

Elena nodded.

Bonnie chuckled. "You two think that I like Damon? You have to be kidding me."

Elena smiled. "Bonnie, you don't have to hide it from us."

Bonnie threw her hands up. "I'm not hiding anything. Damon and I are just friends. And it'll stay that way."

Caroline's lips pursed before she spoke. "These past couple of weeks are telling us something different. Admit it, you have the hots for Damon!"

Bonnie cringed at her words. "I would never. It's Damon."

Elena sighed. "Okay, you don't have to tell us."

Bonnie looked between the two. "There's nothing to tell. I do not like Damon. End of story."

Caroline stayed quiet.

Elena nodded and smiled. "Got it."

Bonnie grinned. "Good. I'm going to take a shower then I'll start packing."

Bonnie got up from her bed and walked into their shared bathroom.

Once the door was shut Caroline and Elena turned to one another.

"There's definitely something going on between them." Caroline smirked.
