A/N: Part two, lets see how it goes. I hope you guys like it, this is the most response I've ever had on a story and in the shortest amount of time! Thank you all for reading and reviewing, it really makes my day!
...
It's been ten minutes. Ten awkward and tense minutes, of sitting on the couch. A green changeling and a blue empath, sitting on the same piece of furniture. But they were each days past, remembering words traded and tears spent.
They did, however, notice how Starfire and Robin silently left the common room. And they both certainly did notice, the flashing and beep of the monitor by the door, as it stated the obvious: Door Locked. Door Locked.
"W-well, uh..." Beast Boy started, gently placing his gaming remote on the seat next to him. "Rae, I..." He trailed off, noticing how she didn't look up or even act as if she heard him. "Rae?" She wouldn't look at him. She wouldn't talk to him. It still hurt, looking at the boy who had broken her. 'This is what I get,' she thought to herself. 'This is what I get, for getting close to someone.' So she stared at her book, not even registering the words she saw.
"Rae, please, just talk to me. Just let me explain." Beast Boy tried again, hoping that she would give him a chance. "You don't need to explain anything, Beast Boy." She said, her voice raw from lack of use. He noticed the bags under her eyes a few days ago. As well as how she wasn't eating, only herbal tea. Her pale skin slightly paler, and how her thin fingers started to shake and look bonier.
Just as she noticed his lack of corny jokes. And how he didn't smile as much, and kept to himself. She noticed with a sinking heart, how his pointed ears wilted when she called him by his titan name. "Look, Raven. I'm-" 'He called me 'Raven.' She thought to herself. "Just, stop. Please..." Her voice cracked, drying up the words he had planned next.
They went back to their own minds, as the minutes ticked by painfully slow. 'That's it,' The green titan thought to himself, building up his nerve. 'She'll hate me forever. But at least she'll know.' And with a final glance at his hands in his lap, he turned to the silent girl next to him.
He brought his hands to her face, bringing her sad eyes to his. And before she could pull away, or he lost his nerve, he crashed his mouth down upon hers. "!" She gasped, even as his warm mouth pressed against hers. The changeling only shut his eyes, as the tears leaked out.
After a few seconds, when she had stayed frozen, Beast Boy was about to let go, when she started kissing him back. The kiss grew stronger, the young man leaned forwards, guiding the young woman to lay backwards. She wrapped her legs around his waist, as her back was flush to the couch. Her hands moved to rake through his green hair, as his roamed her familiar curves that he had missed. Gasping for breath, they broke apart, leaning their foreheads against each other.
"I'm so, so sorry. So... sorry." Beast Boy wept, his hands tightening around her. "I missed you," Raven whispered, playing gently with his hair. "But, we can't, not if-"
"No." He said firmly, interrupting her. "Rae, listen. You were never second best. I was stuck on Terra, she was my first girlfriend." Turning away, Raven looked towards the ceiling, suppressing the tears building up. "But, you." He said gently, moving to cup her chin, bring her violet eyes to meet his emerald ones. "You were and still are, my first love. I love you, Rae; and I always will."
Smiling, Raven only brought his head down, softly kissing him. Pulling away, she said what she thought would inevitably be her downfall. "I love you too, Garfield Logan. I just, couldn't- thinking it was all a rebound- I couldn't handle the thought, that this," She tugged gently on his hair, "was all fake." She whispered, afraid by laying all her worries out in form of her.
"I promise, it wasn't fake, Raven. It wasn't fake."
——
From then on, they were inseparable. Starfire and Robin would hide smiles, as Beast Boy held Raven's pale fingers under the table. And Cyborg would poke fun, as she would fall asleep on the couch, with her head in her boyfriend's lap. His fingers gently running through her short hair.
Four years later, the changeling would propose to the once thought quiet and withdrawn titan. She would accept, and they would cry. They would kiss and they would hug each other. 8 months later, they would get married. They would be 24.
A/N: So that's the end. Should I do a hurt/comfort of Raven hurt? I'm maybe thinking about that. Also, should I write the fight? Let me know, I'm open to almost anything. Thanks for reading, and have a great day. -NR17
