Three years ago, Mom had broke the news to my sister and I that we would be moving to Hosu city. It took awhile but eventually, we accepted it. Last week Mom drove me and Izuku to an amusement park, seeing as we may not be seeing each other in person for a long time. It was great, we spent hours just laughing, remembering the good times, eating, we were gonna see each other again yet... things just felt different. I spent the whole three years hanging out mostly with Izuku, people didn't seem to like my opinions on Villains, and in return I didn't seem to care. They could be helped, reabilitated to become decent people, but society would rather condemn them as opposed to helping them learn from a stupid mistake. With most of the few other friends I had we were still pals but they kept their distance, not Izuku though. While he didn't completely agree with my opinions he respected them and unlike many others, didn't forsake me. I'd forever be grateful for that. Soon the train would be arriving and my family would leave Musutafu, possibly forever. Sure we would have the money for face to face visits...once a month, but it was far better than nothing. Izuku and I could still communicate through technology, and although I was introverted it wasn't like I couldn't make new friends. I was going to a new hero school and I hoped none of them were like Bakugo, but I still had my doubts.

We would be leaving for Hosu soon, this was the last time I'd be leaving my old home and seeing most of my friends. Mom and Mugiti were standing and talking with , her and Izuku came to see us off. My Mom and had been friends for a while, almost as long as Izuku and I, as for Mugiti she never really got to know Izuku well, she always said how she preferred to talk with the elders. "Well, this is it." I said, somewhat awkwardly. "I'm going to miss you." Izuku said, more of a statement than a response. "I'm going to miss you too Izuku...But hey, we have phones!" I jokingly reminded him in an attempt to lighten the mood. "Yeah I...guess, it's just…" Izuku started to trail off. "Not the same?" I suggested. "Yeah, yeah that's it." He confirmed "I get that, but hey, I'll be able to visit every now and then!" I said in another attempt to cheer him up. "Yeah, that's true." Izuku shakily said, he began to cry a bit. "Oh there's no need to start that." I told him. "I'm sorry it's just…". I offered him a hug, he accepted. "It's not like I'm leaving forever." I reassured "It's not like I'm going to another country, Things'll improve. Don't worry about it." . "Ok, ok" Izuku conceded. I let go of him, even if I didn't want to. But before I left, I had to tell him. "Before I go, you have to stand up to Bakugo man." I half suggested, half ordered. Izuku just sighed at this, we'd had this conversation many times. "Kyo…" He started. "No Izuku, I'm tired of him just walking all over you and I won't be there to back you up." I lightly chastised, I immediately regretted it because Izuku's face tensed up a bit. "I'm sorry, I'm just worried is all. Listen, just take care of yourself, ok?" I said guiltily. Izuku just nodded with a slight smile.

Then I got a notification, I decided to quickly check it out and lo and behold there was a Villain near, that would cheer him up. "Oh do I have a surprise for you." I told Izuku "huh?" he asked. I showed him the notification and his face lit up. "Seeing as we gotta go soon, you'd best get down there before too many Heroes do. Villain this big is bound to get some attention." I suggested. "You sure?" Izuku questioned hesitantly. "Ah don't worry about it!" I encouraged him. " Go take some notes! Catch ya later!" Izuku smiled and ran to the entrance of the station. "Where's Izuku going?" asked. "Oh I told him to go check out this big event downtown, He seemed really down and I think it'll cheer him up." I confessed. "Well that was very kind of you Kyokia" replied approvingly yet slightly worried. After about five minutes of and my Mom talking she went home and we waited for another ten minutes before the train got to the station. When we got on Mom and Mugiti were talking about the new house we were going to live in, it was an apartment but it was a rather nice one, I preferred it because it had a much better view than our old house did. As they talked, I was thinking about the latest news on Omiora, yesterday she had stayed to help bystanders during a robbery. She didn't rob the place and neither did her new partner, they were around and two hostages made it out of the bank but not without wounds. She soothed them in the back alley and when the police showed up her new partner tore her away from them, and they screamed for the police and they got them to the hospital as Omiora and Ugoka fled. Ugoka was her new partner on the run, I still didn't know a lot about him except his quirk and rumors he came from a family of dedicated killers. But he wasn't a fan of that and preferred to commit less serious crimes such as robbery...and bowing up the place after. But hey, there was never anyone in there at least. But one day, there was. He went on the run, unluckily for him one of the casualties of the explosion was the mother of some hero named Iris and he's been hunting him, therefore them, ever since. The guy was only nineteen and he had already ruined his life. Now murder is serious, but this guys basically a kid who was raised to do this kinda thing, I personally thought that should be considered but...I'm not the judge. I went to sleep for a bit, seeing as it would make the ride faster.

I woke up at Hosu city and we took a cab to our new home, most of our stuff was there already from the week prior and we had been staying at a hotel as the final preparations were completed, all we really had were our personal effects. Mugiti taunted me for sleeping through the train ride and Mom kept telling us just how wonderful our new life in Hosu would be. "The Hero school you'll be attending is rather close to where our new home is." Mom said. "When we get there I have a surprise for you both." "Oh god" Mugiti responded, clearly annoyed. "The last surprise was we're moving how could you possible top that?" She questioned. "Oh give it a rest Mugiti." Mom retorted. We were almost at our new home but here they were about to argue? That sounded like Mugiti. "You alright Kyokia?". " Wha?" I asked as I was abruptly pulled away from my thoughts. "Kiddo? You feeling good?" Mom said to me. There was no way I was gonna say what was on my mind and add fuel to the fire. "Oh sorry mom, yeah I'm fine." I answered "Kyokia I raised you better." Mom jokingly replied. Well that didn't work, I had to think of something. "...I'm just um, Nervous." I said to her. "Oh, well there's no reason to be dear." Mom reassured me. I wasn't lying, I was nervous. New home, new people, new school, it was all just nerve wracking in a stupid way. Nothing I couldn't overcome but...still. Well we had finally arrived. We got out of the taxi and proceeded upstairs. The interior of the building was pleasant to say the least. Plants, expensive couches and lights, that was about it in the lobby excluding the mail slots. I thought maybe this place wouldn't be so bad. We went upstairs and got set in the living room. "All your stuff is in your room, you'll want to unpack soon." Mom informed us. "I'll be right back with that surprise!" She quickly added as she left the room. "So what do you think it is this time?" Mugiti inquired. "She got a boyfriend." I stated jokingly. Mugiti burst out laughing. "Oh Dads turning in his grave." She stated. My father died in a car crash when I was three years old. I wasn't told much about him, he was one of my Moms co-workers before they got married, and he had a very powerful quirk. But that's all anyone would tell me, I stopped wondering why a long time ago. "Ok, here we are." Mom walked into the room and placed these small boxes on our laps. "...Music Boxes?" Mugiti asked. "Yes, I wanted to celebrate our arrival here...they play your father's favorite song." Mom said making both Mugiti and I pause, Mom never talked about Dad, if fact she avoided talking about him till now. "You'll get to ask one question about your father tonight." Mom started, more serious than normal. "I know it's been unfair and daunting, not knowing anything about him. But I promise to make that change soon, starting today." She said almost...regrettably "What was he like?" Mugiti asked. "Heh, charming, kind, caring, thoughtful." Mom responded, but something was ...off. I couldn't tell what but there was. "...What was his quirk?" I asked. Mom sighed. "His quirk was time." She replied. "He could slow, stop, speed up. But he was caught off guard." She said remorsefully. "I see." I said, then I got up. "I'm going to set up my room" I declared as I retreated to my new room.

About an hour later I had everything set, I wondered what the time was and looked at my phone. 6:42 PM. There were some more notifications but I had something I wanted to check out first, I grabbed the music box and began to wind. I had winded it up to play about three times and set it down, it started to play You Are My Sunshine. "Wow, thanks Mom." I muttered as I went onto my phone. The Villain I directed Izuku to was caught by this new Hero named . Judging by her name I could tell what she was all about. There were quite a few but this story about a sludge villain kept popping up, after a while I caved and checked it out. Apparently he had escaped from all might and held hostage a child na-. It was Bakugo. I found it ironic that the second I left things went to hell. Now I hated the guy but no one deserved to be held hostage. I read on, it described how Bakugo did everything in his power to escape effectively making things worse and almost died, almost. Thank god. There was a civilian who attempted to save him during the event. "Who would do that?" I thought out loud. Oh God. I almost dropped my phone but started going to contacts. It was Izuku. "Pick up, pick up." I muttered desperately." . "Hello?" Izuku responded, somewhat distraught. "IZUKU?!" I all but screamed. "Kyo? Wh-" He started but I cut him off. "Are You alright!?" I asked frantically "I'm fine Kyo! In fa-" He attempted to speak but in a panic I just continued "Oh God, I should have been there.". "Kyo you left hours before it happened, there's no way you could have." He said in a reassuring tone. "Izuku You could have died! If I had been there I cou-" Now it was my turn to be interrupted. "Kyokia Calm down!" Izuku shouted. I let out a sigh "Okay, okay. I'm sorry." I apologized. "Kyokia, something amazing happened today." Izuku started. I had an idea where this was going. "Oh?" I asked. "Yeah!" Izuku ecstatically responded. "Let me guess, you saved Bakugo?" I asked again. "...yeah." Izuku not so ecstatically responded. "Heh, yeah I thought so. You know you never give up on someone you consider a friend, no matter how much of a jerk they are. That's what I love about you man." I replied truthfully. "Thanks Kyo '' He somewhat meekly said. "Well ... if you're okay I'll get off your back. See you later Izuku '' I said ready to go to bed. "Okay, see you later Kyo!" Izuku said as he hung up. I heard a knock on the door. "Kyo? Everything okay? I heard shouting." Mom said. "Check the news." I suggested "I'm going to bed, oh and Mom?" "Yeah?" She asked, awaiting an answer. "Thanks for the Music Box." I responded. "You're welcome, night sweet heart." She said as she left. And with that I went to bed, It took a while because admittedly I was still worried, not to mention...I felt like Izuku was lying, why did he hesitate on the second yeah?
