For the next week most of my time was spent in the lab, despite myself. I felt like I wasn't being the leader I should be, but it was decided that the best thing I could do was figure out this puzzle. The only notable time I was out of the lab was when I was called out to be asked my opinion on a plan or so. LOGIC itself was going along rather slowly, but it was still quite stable. The Jacks and Aces were content with their living arrangements and the fact that they no longer had to run, which brought some happiness to me, however I was starting to lose the original drive I had. Looking back at that promise I made, it was made out of anger. I wanted justice and I saw even more injustice in the criminal populace. Yamiaka told me I should do what was best for me when I voiced this to him, but a Matchigaten does everything they can do to keep their promises, I couldn't turn back now. But progress on the puzzle was going good, yet it was still very...very difficult. The puzzle itself was like I said, a rubik's cube. However numbers resided where the colors should be, one through six to be exact. It was huge, and while the numbers that I intentionally moved seemed to be fine, the ones that simply moved due to the chain reaction were changing...it made everything so much more complicated. I had managed to save progress to two minutes, a whole two minutes was all I could pull off in a week. It was embarrassing and frustrating...and Yamiaka could see it.
I stared at the monitor on the desk as I sat in the chair next to it, the blinding white of the walls straining my eyes every time I looked away. Uncle had failed to mention something about the stim, the quirks that are put into the stim will mold with each other in a way, The monitor read " Quirks: none. Description: N/A. Quirk restructure: N/A. Time limit: two minutes and three seconds out of ten minutes. I was scared to go back to the puzzle honestly, although the two minutes was technically twenty percent of the puzzle done but it still felt like it was nothing, and worse? The more advanced I got into the puzzle the less time it took the numbers to change! I didn't want to lose my progress but I knew I had to do something. "Sir?" Yamiaka questioned behind me, ripping me out of my train of thought. "You seem stressed, perhaps I could advise you?". Even here Yamiaka was attempting to help me, it was his job but still...It was welcome. "I need to make progress Yamiaka." I expressed with a sigh as I leaned back into my chair. "I'm barely adding anything to LOGIC in the mean time, this puzzle is absolute murder, I need…" I shook my head slightly trying to word my plight, yet not quite finding the words. "something to go right." I Finally confessed as I deflated. "Well sir…" Yamiaka started looking at the monitor, getting closer and rubbing his chin. "It appears you still need to collect quirks." I looked at the monitor and it did indeed read "Quirks: none.". I looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "Go on." "Well, you need a morale boost sir." Yamiaka stated plainly as he looked back to me. "You've been stressed out for quite a bit and simply put you need something to be successful. It's not going to be a cake walk to gather powerful quirks because usually they come from powerful people." He made a good point, I had said I needed something to go right. But then came the idea of how to get said quirks. "Where am I gonna get the Dna?" I thought aloud. "If I may sir…" Yamiaka said. "The U.A dorms will be vacant during their classes, there are some powerful quirks in class 1-A". U.A was the school Izuku attended, a hero school. It was true that there were some powerful quirks there but...dorms? That's the first I'd heard of anything like that at U.A. I wondered how he knew there were dorms. "...Yamiaka, how exactly do you know about that?" I asked him with a slight bit of suspicion. "Your Uncle mentioned it in passing two days ago sir." Yamiaka responded calmly.
Uncle Kiyaka had been calling me on the walkie talkie pretty much all week, he admitted that this lab wasn't the safest of things and was keeping tabs on me, uncle Kiyaka supported LOGIC but above all he supported me. He'd been asking about my feelings on all this regarding Izuku and the possibility of facing him again. I loved my uncle but due to the sensitive nature of the topic and the stress at the lab I would sometimes only listen enough to give believable responses, I was lucky to have Yamiaka seeing as he actually listened to Uncle. "I see, thank you then." I said dropping the subject. The matter of which quirks to take was now on the table, since I had gone to the U.A sports festival I knew what the roster was. I already had a strong offensive quirk so I wanted to focus on defensive and utility quirks, however I recalled that the more quirks put into this stim, the less effective they would be. There were some truly amazing quirks to choose from, but ultimately I chose three quirks. The first was Eijiro Kirishima's quirk, Hardening. It allowed him to turn his skin into rock, simple but effective. It could be used for offense and defense but in all honesty it was an amazing defensive quirk and that's how I planned to use it. Secondly was Minoru Mineta's quirk, Pop off. This quirk grew purple, sticky balls on his head that could be removed manually. On its own it wasn't much but used in a team fighting scenario it could set up many attacks to simply be undodgeable, to underestimate this quirk would be...arrogant. Lastly was Yuga Aoyama's quirk, Navel laser. The ability to fire a laser beam is most certainly something I'd favor having, although my quirk was a very effective offensive tool I could combo the two to complement both quirks. I considered replacing "Pop off" with "Create" Momo Yaoyorozu's quirk but ultimately I decided that the need to learn how to create the things I wanted was not high on my priority list, I could also have gained Izuku's quirk though his Dna but I didn't want to test it out yet, having it temporarily would serve no purpose especially when it's liable to kill me anyway. I had no Idea how the quirks would meld together and what would change, but I wouldn't find out until I had the DNA samples in my possession. Aoyama and Kirishima's DNA would be easy to obtain, hair samples. Mineta however, lacked hair...a blood sample would do. I looked at Yamiaka and said "Thank you Yamiaka, perhaps progressing in something will lead to progression in everything." He gave me a nod before disappearing, and I started doing the required "ritual" to return to LOGIC's headquarters.
As I appeared back in my room I walked out to the conference room to see Omiora, Ugoka and Seishika discussing something, Until Ugoka noticed me. "Kyokia!" He said, happy to see me apparently. "We were just about to call you, see we have a plan we want you to approve befo-". "Ugoka wait." I said cutting him off, he didn't seem to appreciate it but stopped anyway. "I require some assistance to further the stim's progress." I informed them "I'll need Seishika and the Sen'yuku twins.". Omiora and Ugoka nodded before Omiora said "I'll go get them." By now it was apparent that for their own safety, anyone I didn't specifically need in my plans were to not know anything about them. Nobody was thrilled about being left in the dark but no one was really comfortable risking their lives against an All Might level threat. At least my method of keeping Izuku somewhat safe was working. "So, where you going this time?" Seishika asked me with a smirk as the other two left. "None other than the U.A dorms." I replied tiredly. Seishika's smirk all but died once he heard the name. "Heights alliance? You must really want something there…" Seishika interrogated. "Yes I do." I replied nonchalantly, He gave me a disapproving nod but that's all he offered. "Do you know how many heroes and heroes in training are there?" He then asked me with...concern? I thought that was strange. "That's why it'll be a stealth mission." I replied with a small smile. "Hence the Sen'yuku twins.". Seishika nodded and looked outside the observation glass, I looked beside him and Yamiaka was standing there holding a knife while pointing to it. I muffled a laugh and went to the P.A system's microphone, it sat on the elevated part of the room. "Ugoka." I said through the P.A system. "Bring me a knife while you're at it.".
After several minutes the Sen'yuku twins were in the conference room, they sat down in their usual chairs in their usual beaming states. "So, I need some assistance with infiltration." I said as I put my hands on the conference table. "Well you most certainly came to the right people." Dekrai said. "What's the plan?" Sutrai asked shortly after. "Seishika will provide us with canisters." I started. "I'll have two and you'll receive one. You will smuggle me into Heights Alliance-". "Heights Alliance!?" The twins asked in unison, but they asked in excitement, not the expected hesitation. "We've always wanted an excuse to break into a place that heavily protected!" Dekrai cheered with a fist bump in the air. "Yeah, for all their powered locks, cameras and security they won't stand a chance against us!" Sutrai said as he high fived his twin. For grown adults these two sure acted like small children, but they got what they needed done and tended to boost morale so I was more than able to tolerate it. "Excellent." I said with a grin "You two will break me into 1-A's dorms and retreat before anything gets out of hand, therefore you'll only need one canister." I explained. "Ah, you remembered." Seishika said, pleased. "It's my job to." I responded. "I have two in case my escape...goes sideways." I said with a bit of reluctance. "Now, if you end up losing concentration you'll be sent to a random location." Seishika replied in return. "None of my drop off points lead to certain death but be careful if you end up being sent somewhere else.". "I plan to." I responded as I turned to him. "Everyone understand their part?" I asked the three of them, now looking at the twins again. Seishika tossed me a clicker and the twins saluted me in military fashion, which earned a chuckle from me. We then separated because it was early morning, the students would likely still be in their dorms. I went into my room and asked aloud "Yamiaka, uncle offer any information that could help us?". "If I recall correctly males are on the left wing and females are on the right." Yamiaka answered. "He also offered some information on the students residing there." He what? I wondered how on earth he knew all that. I then supposed I should listen next time so I don't miss any information like this again, cause that was just plain stupid. "It's okay sir." Yamiaka said, as if he read my mind. But it was likely he simply read my expressions. "Anyway, these are the qualities and decor you should look for." Yamiaka started. "Eijiro Kirishima's room will radiate with "manliness" and athletic equipment. The young man is obsessed with being manly." I thought about that, it wasn't exactly a poor goal to try to achieve. "Secondly is Yuga Aoyama' room, it will be sparkly and likely the room of a self obsessed individual, because he certainly is." I raised an eyebrow at Yamiaka and he said "I only speak the truth sir.". "And the Mineta kid?" I asked. 'We'll… he's somewhat perverted sir." Yamiaka said hesitantly. "You'll know it when you see it." That was encouraging, but I was prepared to sacrifice my eye's for the mission. "...Very well." I said once I regained my composure from the surprise.
An hour after this, we were ready to move. It was likely the students would be in class and now was the time to strike. The twins gave me a nod as we prepared to infiltrate the dorm's, gloves and all. I grabbed the knife Ugoka found me, it wasn't anything too special, just a steak knife and a few vials I took from the lab. "Good luck." Seishika said as he tossed another clicker to the twins. "Give this a click when the two of you are ready to go.". The twins nodded at him and he opened the portal, the three of us jumped in as the twins activated their quirks. We appeared to be behind the building, and we did what we could to stay hidden, which wasn't that hard to do considering we were invisible. I looked at the front door and muttered "This is one of the most secure campuses in Japan. Your quirks will negate any alarms but there has to be a camera that'll see it opening…" I looked at the balconies on the fifth floor. "We'll get in through there." I stated. I lifted us up to the fourth floor and found a balcony door covered by a red curtain. Kirishima's hero name was "Red Riot", his hair was red when he was at the festival and the hospital...it was fair to hope that his curtain would be red as well. "Here we go." I chimed, the door was locked but it didn't take much for me to use my quirk to unlock it. The room we walked in was full of athletic equipment, posters and even a clock with muscular arms, it appeared as though I found Kirishima's room. "We must find hair, go." I instructed. The twins didn't seem to mind the task and we searched for several minutes before finally finding a single strand of hair, I gave up trying to pick it up with my finger so I used my quirk to place it in the vial. "Sir...may I suggest starting from the second floor?" Yamiaka asked. The twins were there so I couldn't really ask him why, but seeing as he's been correct in every other aspect in this mission I decided to listen to him, I said "Let's start from the bottom." I said. "If we have any visitors we'll be able to have more time to search before they reach the upper floors." The twins agreed with me and we started from the farthest room on the second floor. I peeked in and it was a dark room, with purple lighting and occult decor. "Definitely not." I said, this room didn't fit the description of Aoyama or Mineta. The next room we tried was practically another solar system. It sparkled and glittered and the mirrors didn't help the effect, we had definitely found Aoyama's room. "Hair, go." I simply said and the twins started searching. "This place is too bright…" Dekrai complained. "Agreed." I replied as we searched. We came across a hair brush, the brush itself was well kept but there were a few strands of hair remaining on it. "Excellent" I said as I once again used my quirk to store away the hair strand. "Two out of three, let's proceed." I said to the twins as I pointed to the door.
We continued down the corridor, and I opened the next room. As I did I almost stumbled back seeing the decor, All Might was everywhere, posters, figurines, you name the merchandise and it was there, it was obvious who's room it was. I walked into the room slowly once I regained myself. "Want us to start searching?" The twins asked. "No…" I said quietly. "J-just give me a second…" I requested. I looked at his dresser and saw a framed picture, it was me and Izuku smiling, we were younger in the picture. I picked it up to inspect it closer, it was a day at the park about a year before I left for Hosu...Mugiti…took the picture. I saw tears fall onto the frame. "Boss...you okay?" Sutrai asked me. "...Yeah…" I obviously lied as I continued to stare at the picture, with the combination of Mugiti and Izuku's memories I simply couldn't look away. "Who's Izuku?" Dekrai asked from across the room, looking at a note addressed to him. "Is...is that you?" Sutrai asked as he pointed at me in the picture. "...long ago…" I finally said. "My sister took this picture…". "You and him look happy." Dekrai said now looking at the picture. "...yeah." I said now somberly. "We totally were…" I placed the frame down. "I've wasted enough time, I'm sorry. Let's continue.". I closed the door and went with the twins to the next room, It was a relatively normal room...besides the few lewd posters on the walls. The twins and I walked in. "How…" Sutrai started. "Lewd…" Dekrai said, sticking out his tongue in disgust. "Well this is the last stop." I said to them. "Unfortunately this last one doesn't have hair, so I need a blood sample." I said now brandishing the knife. "I suggest leaving now.". "No no no sir." Dekrai interjected. "We saw how you were in that other room.". "Yeah," Sutrai added, "we gotta talk...who's this Izuku guy?" They asked me. "...Now is not the time." I said. "If you want to hear it from me, ask me later. Otherwise ask Omiora or Ugoka." I instructed. "But you have to go now, understand?". "We'll ask Omiora and Ugoka." Sutrai said. "Be careful, kay Kyo?" Dekrai asked me. I remembered when "Kyo" was a nickname reserved for close friends and family, then I decided that's what these guys were anyway. "Alright, now go. Be safe." I said with a feigned smile. Dekrai opened the portal and the two of them walked through. I placed my canister in the corner and put myself behind the door, now I just had to await the students' return.
