I can't recall how long I stayed in that lab then, but people were worried. I had made progress on the stim to say the least, six minutes was how long the stim kept someone alive. I barely ate anything anymore, much to Omiora's and Yamiaka's dismay but to be fair Yamiaka was starting to get behind the progress on the stim. The Ace's were elated when I told them the stim was beyond halfway done, but they weren't so elated to see how tired I was. Tired of the fighting and tired due to the fact I barely slept anymore, that stim was the most important thing to LOGIC, my sleep schedule could stand to suffer for its success. However, I had to leave the confines of my lab. Uta's exhibition proved to work thanks to Iris not being there to stop them and we got the dirt on the politician, he wanted to meet us in his summer home in the outskirts of Tokyo itself. I found myself listening to the music box often now, it was the only thing I had left connecting me to my family and while this was debatably worse for my mental health it was comforting. "Kyokia, We need you." I heard my communicator go off, it was Ugoka, likely about to ask me to either give my opinion or go on a mission with them, I had work to do but if they needed my help there was nothing that could be done about it. I wondered how people would react or treat me, it wasn't exactly hidden from LOGIC members that Iris attempted to trap us and while Ugoka was comforted by Omiora on the matter by what he saw, I simply haven't had the time to allow myself to be comforted...besides if I was I'd look weak, no matter what Yamiaka said to argue otherwise. I gave one last look to the cube and music box, then clutched my rod before muttering "Here we go." to myself.

I appeared in my room and saw everything was in place, I had moved Omiora's mask into the lab permanently as it was safer there, I then walked out into the hallway. "Kyo, we've got news." Ugoka said. I walked over to the table and sat down without a word, then gestured to hear more. "Well, we were successful in obtaining the evidence due to you and Ugoka's...intervention. As you know." Uta started. "He's contacted us, he wants to meet with us and negotiate. We plan on using him but he demands all of us be there." That sounded like a trap, but apparently Uta knew that because she then said. "The Jacks will be on standby, in the case it's an ambush." I looked around the table, everyone was there. It had been a while since I had seen everyone in one room, and in some cases anyone in general. "Kyo…" I heard Sutrai start. "You've been really...distant." Dekrai finished. I didn't look at them as I didn't know how to defend myself from the very true comment at first, I eventually found the words and just said. "I'm fine, just busy.". "Well that's a lie if I've ever heard it." Kojin stated. Hatsu got up and placed her arms on the table. "You barely eat, no one's even seen you sleep in days...you can't be doing this…". "What would you propose I do?" I asked her tiredly. "You certainly can't make this work If you're breaking." Omiora said gently. "What would they say if I stopped working on it?" I asked "From what I've been told it's become the main hope, the main goal...What would everyone say if we just put that on hold because I felt stressed!?". "Most of them say you need to pace yourself, that you forget you're still a child." Uta revealed. "What?" I asked her. "We asked them." She replied. "They believe that you should be pacing yourself in this." I shook my head in defeat. "Fine." I conceded. "After this is done, I'll take a break.". "Would be for the best, we could all use a break to get our heads off of all this." Senbona said. "When are we leaving?" I asked no one in particular. "Very soon, we called you here due to that." Ugoka told me. With that everyone went to gather their supplies, Seishika walked next to me. "It takes strength to do what you do, especially at your age." He stated. "What do you want?" I asked jokingly. "Nothin kiddo, just stating a fact." He said. "You've become real strong from all this, it'll bring you places someday.". I chucked at him. "You say this like the world's about to end.". "You never know when life'll send a curveball your way." Seishika warned. "And I...have a bad feeling about this mission...real happy I won't be there!" Seishika was obviously joking, I remembered how Ugoka described him when we first met...he was sassy sure, but he didn't seem at all like how Ugoka said he was.

Soon we were ready to travel to this politician's estate, the Jacks were on standby and the Ace's were prepared to travel to the estate, from what I was told it was a large estate in a more rural area. The politician in question was Jorin Gorrapu, a well known collector. His estate housed his collections and he'd invited the ace's to negotiate there, seeing as it was rural it was unlikely we'd be found out by accident so it was a decent plan. As the portal for the Ace's opened they looked at me to go first, seeing as I was the leader I did so without hesitation and found myself in a large room, adorned in middle aged weapons from many different cultures. The room was about the size of a large garage, well lit and furnished. "Looks like collects weapons." I said as the Ace's came out of the portal. A few minutes after we were all present a door at the front of the room opened and I saw a short, skinny man walk over to us. "My guests!" He said cheerfully "So you're ?" I asked him. "That's me." He confirmed. "You know why we're here." Uta said almost immediately. "We want you to-". "Now, now, hold it right there." He interrupted her. "We shouldn't get right to business, it isn't cordial!". "Cordial!?" Uta asked in astoundment. "Yes!" Gorrapu all but insisted. "Allow me to get us some refreshments, then we'll talk business." Uta gave him a scowl as he pointed to a sitting area near the middle of the room. "As we wait, please feel free to look around my collection!" Ugoka, Uta and I were seated with while the others went to occupy their time, we were honestly just sitting with him to ensure he didn't try anything. "It's so rare that I have guests, always makes me happy to have em...even under these undesirable circumstances." Gorrapu said as he pressed a button on a small remote. "What did you just do?" Uta demanded to know. "Oh just asked one of my employee's to get us some refreshments." "Some interesting weapons you have here…" Fukisha said from across the room as he inspected a two headed axe. "Ah, thank you!" Gorrapu said in a raised voice. "I have weapons from all over the world!". "Why weapons?" Ugoka asked him, a hint of interest colored his voice. "My family has had a Nodachi for generations passed in our line." Gorrapu said gesturing to a case in the middle of the room. "I thought I'd add to the collection.". We sat there in silence for a while longer, every now and then Gorrapu would ask us a question to which he'd receive an evasive response at best. I thought this was a waste of time, I could've been working on the puzzle at the moment, but no… wanted to be "Cordial", I then laughed at myself quietly, even at a time like this I was still thinking about it. "I think you'd find use in this." Omiora said as she walked over to us, breaking me out of my thoughts. "It would look good on you, and isn't lethal!" Omiora held a long staff in her hands, It had 3 pieces of metal wrapped around the ends and the middle of it. "What is it?" I asked as she got closer. "Ah, that's a quarterstaff I picked up years ago!" Gorrapu said to me. "Was commonly used in England, that staff in particular is made from quarter spun hardwood, It's a very high quality weapon."

Upon closer inspection the metal appeared to have flowers engraved into it, it was a rather pretty design. "You know, I agree with her." Gorrapu said. "You should take it." I looked at him surprised. "I couldn't, It wouldn't be cordial." I replied with a joke. He laughed aloud at this before he said. "I insist! As a sign of good faith!". "I must say sir, it would be an upgrade to that rod." Yamiaka said as I looked at the rod in my hand and decided I was outnumbered. "So be it." I said. I laid down the quarterstaff next to me and decided to try it out later. I heard the door open and looked over to a man holding a platter with drinks. "Your refreshments...sir.". "That voice." Ugoka said as his head shot up. "You." I said as I rose from the seating area, it was Iris. Everyone looked at him as we walked towards each other. "You lied ." I said unsurprised. "You really thought I'd allow you people to blackmail me?" He responded. "After this is said and done, I'll be taking my staff back!" I grabbed the staff and flung him over to Iris. "Here's your bait Iris." I said to him to which he smiled. "Go , it's about to get very dangerous here.". "We'll be letting the world know what you've been up to." Uta yelled at him. Before anything else could be said ran out of the room as some more heroes ran in. Not any well known heroes mind you, but they weren't to be underestimated. "Surrender, now." Iris said. "I'd like to get this over with quickly…". He looked at Ugoka threateningly. "Now!" Ugoka shouted in response. Canisters were thrown and activated within seconds, Jacks came flowing out of them, ready to attack. The heroes wasted no time advancing as well and soon it was all out war. I placed the quarterstaff next to me, and the aces all went on the offensive. Everywhere you looked there was fighting, "You'll pay for your crimes!" a female hero said as she lunged at me, I shot a wave of small bursts at her and she went flying Into the air. "No, I won't." I said as I threw her into another hero. "They keep coming!" Kojin said as his clones went into the fray. "Just keep it up!" I yelled in return as I shot another hero with a burst. I saw Hatsu in her suit as she threw a larger hero across the room. "Come on! Come get some!" she yelled at them as other heroes went towards her. Omiora and Ugoka were standing to the side, Omiora was channeling her quirk into as many people as she could and Ugoka was protecting her, I saw a familiar hero in the middle of the battle field. "You!" she said. It was that hero from the grocery store, the one whose arms could turn into vines. "You humiliated me kid! You'll pay for that!" she yelled as she charged at me. "Well, here we go." I muttered as she approached.

I went into a defensive position and fired waves of energy at her, she dodged most of them but was hit by one as she got closer, I went for another attack but she dodged it and continued. There'd be no way I'd be able to dodge all of the vines that her arms became so that wasn't an option, I created a barrier between me and her and threw a rock at her. She wasn't able to dodge the rock in time and was hit in the side. "Sir! Ugoka!" I heard Yamiaka say to me, I quickly looked over to him to see him and Iris fighting beside Omiora. "He'll have to fend him off himself, I'm currently engaged." "Damn right you are!" The hero said as she lunged at me, I used my staff to form a bubble around me and the vines hit it as opposed to me, I then charged up the rod and hit her with it, she went crashing into a wall but quickly came back. "You're not taking me out that easy!". "Unsurprising." I said in return as I caused an earthquake under her, she lost her balance and I threw her into the roof and then the floor. She got up with a determined look in her eye and I sent wave after waves of energy at her before she finally hit the ground. "Sir!" Yamiaka said again. I looked at Ugoka who was now kneeling on the ground in front of Iris, he appeared to have lost and I knew exactly what Iris intended on doing as he raised his knife. I started to fly over to them but deep down I knew I wouldn't reach them in time, but then I heard Omiora yell "No!" and I saw her lunge in front of Ugoka at the last moment. I stopped flying as I saw Omiora's body jolt, and how Iris stopped in his tracks. Everything stopped, the sounds of battle, my breathing…I couldn't hear anything anymore. "Omiora?" I asked aloud as I looked at her. Iris backed away as Omiora fell to the ground. Ugoka let out a rage-filled yell as he charged at Iris, who was taken off guard and the two of them fought. I snapped out of it, realizing the battle never stopped and I just blocked everything out. I quickly flew over to Omiora in a panic. "No! No Omiora!" I said as I reached her. "Kyo…" She said as she bled from her mouth. I looked around frantically for somewhere safe to bring her, and saw Kojin and Senbona in a corner that was relatively left alone due to the perimeter of Jacks. "I have to get you to safety." I said to Omiora as I picked her up. "Kyokia wait…" she said as I flew her over to the two of them. "Oh shit!" Kojin said as soon as he saw her. "No…" Senbona said in addition. "Omiora, you're gonna be fine okay!" I said to her, in quite a bit of denial. "I'll-I'll fix this! I'll-". "Kyo…" Omiora said. "Nothing can help me now." I couldn't accept it, I was losing another person again, the closest thing I had to a mother. "N-no…" I uttered hopelessly. "The mask…" she said. "Please keep it safe for me.". "I- yes of course!" I said as I teared up, Omiora wiped a tear from my eye. "I...I couldn't save you…". "This-" she coughed some blood up before continuing. "This isn't your fault…" She was fading, she didn't have long so I panicked even more. "Kyokia...I know one day...You'll be the…the hero you always w-wanted to be…" I looked at her confused, but still tearful. "I...I never told-". "You didn't...have...to…" she said as she closed her eyes with a gentle smile. She was gone. "Oh god…" Kojin said as he fell to his knees. Now the heroes had taken my mother, my sister and my mother figure, they had killed the most kind hearted person in LOGIC...they had to pay. "Kojin…" I said to him. "Have your clones tell the Jacks they officially have permission to kill."

Kojin was surprised, but sent the order out. Yamiaka then appeared and said "Sir… are you sure you wan-" "Yes." I quickly snapped at him. "Absolutely." Suddenly, Jacks started grabbing weapons from the shelves. "What are you doing!?" Ugoka asked them. Then I remembered, Omiora's murderer was still here. I started walking over towards them and I used my quirk to bring a spear to me as I dropped my rod. Ugoka was still fighting Iris, and Iris was preoccupied so I doubted he'd see it coming, I then threw the spear and directed it to Iris's left. I was correct in assuming it would take him by surprise because he was pierced by it. "No!" Ugoka yelled as Iris fell to the ground, he was dead as it pierced his heart. Ugoka looked around confused and angry, then saw me there, his anger grew and he yelled at me "What have you done!?" as I just looked at him blankly. "If they want to kill us…" I started. "I won't deny the Jacks the chance to prevent that...permanently." I looked at the bloodbath around me, Some Jacks had died but mostly it was heroes. "How are-" Ugoka started. "They didn't see us as threats." I said to him. "They didn't come prepared for bloodshed...we need to leave.". "Kyo you have to stop this!" Ugoka demanded as I turned to go tell Kojin to alert everyone of the retreat. "...no." I stated as I continued. When I reached Kojin I told him to alert all the Jacks and Ace's we were leaving. As he did I looked over to where I left the quarterstaff and brought it to me. "Omiora wouldn't have wanted this!" Ugoka shouted at me as Jacks started to run to us. "Nor did she want to die." I snapped back as I got ready to start my defensive special move. Once the Jacks were all there I started to channel my move and the bubble surrounded us. "Open the portals!" I yelled and the canisters were thrown and then shortly opened. Jacks ran into them and I took one last look at the battlefield. Many heroes were attempting to get into the barrier and others were laying dead on the floor. "Is this what you want for LOGIC's future sir?" Yamiaka asked. "It's better than no future." I declared to him, at first he didn't say anything before he finally said. "Very well sir, I'll direct you as best I can". Soon, the Jacks and Ace's had all escaped, I jumped in and the portal closed.
