I was confused, but that was replaced with surprise when the canister activated and Seishika walked out, when he saw me and Izuku his face turned to confusion as he said. "Funny seeing you here…" to Izuku. "You!" Izuku said and got into a defensive pose, he then looked at me and saw I wasn't in any condition to fight. "Kyo! Get behind me!" I brushed off his order, as I was still confused. "Seishika? You have to...get out of here." I said to him, tired. "Relax, kid, I got this all planned out." he said in return. I wondered what he meant, and Yamiaka appeared next to him. "Sir...I don't like where this is going…". "W-What?" I asked Seishika. "You need an escape, Let's make a deal!" Seishika said matter of factly. "No!" Izuku interjected, which earned a disapproving look from Seishika "Kyokia, the last thing you want to do is run more! It'll only make things worse!". I was ignoring Izuku at this point, I wanted answers." Why would you...help me now? LOGIC failed… we-". "because it was never about LOGIC Kid." Seishika responded. I gave him a surprised look and Izuku gave one of his own. "What? What about your grandson?". Seishika let out a laugh. "Oh yeah, that. Kid, I don't even have a son!" Seishika grinned as he informed me. I heard Izuku give an appalled scoff, but I was just even more confused...the idea that he had been lying this whole time seemed impossible. "That...that doesn't make sense…" I uttered "Why'd you help us?". "Because I always have an ulterior motive, I'm old kid." Seishika reminded me "and my business is less than it was. Hired protection, enforcers...they're not cheap in the underworld.". I was starting to understand where he was going with this, but I still pressed on. "I still don't understand, all you've done is help us…" Seishika laughed and turned to Izuku before he suggested. "Izuku, why don't you tell Kyo over there who told you about Kiyaka?" my eyes widened as I turned to Izuku, who kept staring at Seishika. "Don't tell me…" I pleaded as I shook my head. Izuku's eyes darted between Seishika and I, his eye's returned to me full of pity and said. "It was him…" Before turning back to Seishika. "You sold us out!" I furiously yelled as I turned back to Seishika, I would have lunged at him if I had a bit more energy. "That I did, you couldn't work for me if LOGIC was still a thing." He responded coldly. Now it was undeniable… this whole cause was a form of training for him. "Sir...I'm so sorry...I never noticed…" Yamiaka apologized. "You...you want me to-". "You have the skill, the strength. You gave those heroes a run for their money!" Seishika interrupted me. I was appalled, I was betrayed...I was furious. I realized that what I said to Izuku was correct...villains really were just bad people...so were heroes...hell, I decided humanity was just a terrible race altogether. Seishika started to talk again "You have the-". Izuku put himself between me and Seishika "Kyo don't listen to him! If you do this he-" Seishika then said. "I wasn't done talking…". and pulled out a gun, he then shot Izuku with a dart.
"Ah!" Izuku grunted in pain. I looked at him and yelled "No!" in a panic, then turned to Seishika. "What do you do!?". "Relax, kid, it's just a tranq," Seishika said nonchalantly. "I know how much the kid means to you. It be bad business practice to kill em!" I all but scrambled over to Izuku and picked him up. " Kyo...don't...don't go wi-" Izuku fell asleep and I was left alone with Seishika. "Well, where was I? Ah yes!" He said cheerfully "You have the will to do something to the bitter end, and you have the ability to strategize. Ever since the beginning I've been...cultivating you.". Obviously he wasn't there for when I completely gave up on LOGIC, but it was good he didn't know that. "Y-you…" I muttered in anger. "You have everything an enforcer needs, but your ambition was waaaaay off the charts!" Seishika explained to me. "I knew this was gonna happen, LOGIC was a fever dream at best. But It's made you so much stronger kid!". I couldn't believe what I was hearing, but slowly...I was realizing what I had to do. "My little teleportation business was great, got me by. But I want more." He said eagerly "I have plans in motion to start a criminal monopoly! And I want YOU to be part of it!" I still sat there, wondering if I was really gonna do this, should I really gonna just...go with him? Go through with this plan..."Your friends, your own family...they've left ya kid. I'm all you have left now, even if I manipulated you...I manipulated you to become better." Seishika said to me. "You have the strength, the will, the strategic mind. Join me, help me make my criminal empire. And let me give you the last piece of the puzzle! Guidance.". That sold it, I was ready. I was going with him. Yamiaka saw the expression on my face and knew exactly what it meant. "I see...I'll do whatever I can to help you sir." At that moment, I realized that he was likely the only person who I could trust...well maybe Izuku too. But that was about it. "The alternative of course is tartarus, I don't make these types of offers everyday and the heroes will be here soon." Seishika said as he gestured to the door. "So what's it gonna be?". I took one look at Izuku and said to him, "I know you wouldn't approve...but I'm sorry...I have to do this." I rested my hand on his arm and nodded without looking at Seishika. He smiled and said "I thought so, I only bet my resources and time on smart people. The things we're gonna do together kid…" With that Seishika threw down a canister and gestured to it, I looked at him and got up weakly...I had gained some of my energy back, but I didn't want him to be aware of that as I walked inside.
We appeared in an apartment that wasn't high quality and it appeared to be downtown...somewhere, Seishika walked over to the fridge as he said "Wow I'm starving." I followed him to the fridge. "Now, we have to get to-" He was interrupted as I tripped him, unbalancing him. Before he could react a sickening snap could be heard. His dead body fell to the ground. I fell to my knees as that took the last of my energy from me. I looked over his body, surveying his broken neck and muttered. "...You're all so...terrible…". I paused before continuing. "You all...abandoned me...wretched villains," I laughed wearily and declared "I tried so hard to help you! But...now, I see what I must do...I'll save you from yourselves! I'll wipe your scourge off the face of Japan!". I picked myself up then looked at the fridge. I stumbled to it and opened it, some take out resided in the fridge that I took. I slowly made my way to a couch next to the kitchen, it was a small apartment on what appeared to be a third story. Yamiaka stood by me and said, "Sir…is there anything I can do to help?" I looked at him, the one thing I could trust. "Just…" I sighed and continued. "Just stay here…" He nodded and stood there as I ate, "I need sleep…" I said to Yamiaka after I ate, "Wake me in about five hours.". I got up and looked for a bedroom, when I found it I all but collapsed on the bed inside. The life I was going to take up was the life of an executioner...If the heroes wouldn't kill these backstabbing monsters then I would. I didn't dream during that nap, and I was awoken by Yamiaka as I asked him to. I walked out back to the living room and remembered how Seishika's corpse was sitting there, "Can't stay here forever...it's gonna start to smell eventually." I sat on the couch and turned on the news, they were in a weather segment and I watched it passively until a certain story gained my interest. "Today, the villainous organisation known as LOGIC has been defeated." That was correct, LOGIC was done for. "With its leader missing, we advise you to be cautious of anyone fitting this description." They proceeded to show a picture on the screen and describe me. I laughed at this, but I wasn't gonna laugh at what they told me next. "In the ruins of LOGIC's headquarters, we found a kidnapped hostage, Izuku Midoriya." I looked at the TV in disgust. "We've been told that he was kidnapped by the nefarious Sen'yuku twins! Who are still at large, it is expected they escaped with Kojin Utabo and-" I crushed the TV with my quirk, Izuku went there of his own free will, and now the news was spinning it against the twins? I thought to myself that humanity really was a terrible race. I decided to go back to the lab to gather the things that belonged to me, LOGIC was finished, I had no use of the stim anymore so I doubted I'd ever return. I teleported there and stuffed my music box in my pocket, then picked up the bag. I looked at it and hugged it, then opened it and pulled out the mask. As soon as I did Yamiaka let out an alarmed gasp and backed away from me. I was surprised by his reaction. "Are you okay?" I asked him concerned. "Where did you get that?" He said as he stared at Omiora's mask.
"I...got it from Omiora…" I looked at him, expecting him to respond. "Tell me...did you ever see her wear this?" he asked me. I thought back as far as I could, I didn't even know she had it until she revealed it to me. "No." I replied. Yamiaka slowly walked over to me, I stared at him wondering what he was so...surprised about, It was just a mask. He then picked up the mask from my hands and it glowed a dark black. It was my turn to back away surprised, he said. "It's as I thought...Dear lord…". "I thought you couldn't touch anything!" I said to him, I wanted an explanation. "I can't touch anything...other than things made by my creator." My memory flashed back to when I first met him, how he told me he was created by another person...that he was the product of a quirk. "So that's...would I have another one of you if I wore that?" I asked jokingly, I didn't need another one. Yamiaka was great, but I couldn't resist making the joke. "No." Yamiaka said grimly which killed the mood. "This mask is something else entirely…" I looked at him, intrigued. "What does it do?". Yamiaka looked at me and said. "He called it "The Mask of the silent death bringer". It makes it so that you never need to eat, bathe, or heal again…" That sounded unreal. "How…?" I asked him. "These needs...they're taken care of when…" I waited for him to continue. "When you kill someone." I stared at him for a few seconds and said. "You're telling me I can satiate myself by killing people?" I asked him "HEAL myself by killing people?". "Quite well actually." He said as he stared at the mask. "My creator helped many people...not all of them were peaceful." I stared at the mask as well. "But if you take that mask off...it will melt, and if you wear it...you'll be filled with an unquenchable desire for death.". "I don't plan on taking it off until all the villains are dead." I said to him bitterly. "When that happens, it won't matter if it melts or not.". Yamiaka nodded and said. "Are you sure this is what you want? If you wear this...there's no turning back without giving it up entirely." I grabbed it and said "Without question." as I placed it on my face, I felt it fuse onto my skin. I blinked a few times in surprise. "It won't be able to be removed by anyone but you." Yamiaka explained. "And you can only take it off if you truly want to, it won't be removed on a whim." I nodded, the mask wasn't heavy, it was rather comfortable actually. "Why is it called "The Silent Death Bringer?" I asked Yamiaka. "Try to disappear." he responded with a straight face. "Excuse me?" I asked him, thinking I misheard. "Just do it." Yamiaka said to me, he looked almost ashamed...but I couldn't think of why, this would help me immensely. I tried to disappear and this dark cloud appeared around my eyes. "First your body will disappear." Yamiaka said to me. "Then the mask will after three seconds, if you attack someone your mask will be revealed, but nothing else will unless you will it." "I...this is amazing! I-" Then something kicked in, a desire...for revenge, for justice...for death. "I told you the side effects…" Yamiaka said shamefully. I felt this desire encompass me, consume me...it felt like it was coursing through my veins. I panted and held my stomach as the sudden rush appeared to stun me, I fell to my knees and waited for it to wear off..this dark mist surrounded me and I saw multiple translucent copies of the masks floating around me, looking at me. "Kill them." They said. "Bloodshed.", "Death." I was panicking, this was all so new...and somewhat scary, but then they continued. "Retribution, justice, punish them." Now that, I could get behind.. "Sir?! Sir are you okay!?" Yamiaka asked me. The pain subsided, and the desires we're dulled as the masks faded into non-existence along with the mist. I just looked at him as I got up again and declared. "I have work to do…".
