In everything I had done, until the very end, I was a failure. I took my Mother and Sister for granted, I believed that they'd never leave me, and I was unable to save them due to that. When I forged an organization to bring hope to the hopeless, to assist the people who I believed needed the most assistance, I gave up on them when I realized just how hopeless their odds of success were. I even failed the one person who even cared about me for the longest time, Izuku Midoriya. But I would not fail in my new calling. This mask, its power...I would use it to punish the people who betrayed me, deceived me. I'd save the world by exterminating the plague known as villains, and anyone who got in my way would have to die. Two weeks had passed since the fall of LOGIC, I had found out I was in Tokyo. It was a desperate city, full of criminals who lurked in the shadows, they had to be exterminated. Most of the people I found were petty criminals, cutpurses, muggers, nothing too strong, but since we were in Tokyo I had to keep a low profile most of the time. The mask got more persistent if I didn't claim lives for too long, and due to being sustained by doing so it became my main activity. I'd sleep at day and then roam the streets at night, I hunted villains under the effects of the mask. The mask still felt melded to my face and it was strange being able to walk completely undetected, to be invisible... but none of this stopped me from doing what I had to do. I was roaming rooftops as I usually did, it allowed good sightlines and I saw much. Streets packed with people, bright lights that would blind anyone who looked at them for too long. "Too long…" The voices complained, ghostly as ever. "Kill, avenge…" They insisted. "Find them.". I ignored their complaints as I floated down into an alley and walked through it, it was quiet...until I heard a scream. "Shut up and give me your purse!" I heard a male voice shout. "Fine! Just take it! Don't hurt me!" A pleading voice responded to it. I walked over to see a woman standing against a wall and a man holding a knife to her as she handed her purse over, It was time to intervene. "How unkind…" I said to the thing in front of me in a slightly raspy voice, a side effect that would get worse the longer I stayed in stealth. The criminal turned around and found nothing, which confused him. "Who's there!?" He yelled into what appeared to be empty darkness. "Stay back! I'm warning ya!" He grabbed the woman and held the knife to her throat. "Ack! No!" She begged as he held her. "Coward." The voices started. "Fiend, monster, end him!" They were right, he was pathetic, cowering behind a civilian, he deserved this. I walked next to him and picked him up, effectively freeing the woman. "Wha- how!?" He asked aloud and my mask was now visible. "Wretched monster…" I muttered as I snapped his neck, once I did I felt my stamina return to me, the hunger I'd felt for hours was spirited away into non-existence and the voices started to stop talking, they were satisfied, and so was I. I looked at the woman who was staring at my mask that was now visible, I then picked up her purse from the corpse of the man and said "Take this, and leave." She didn't say anything as she quickly grabbed her purse and sprinted out of the alley. I proceeded to fly back onto the rooftops, the voices were silent and I was tired. "Time to return home." I muttered to myself in a less raspy voice due to being visible.

"Sir, that robbery will take place tomorrow.". My quirk generated companion Yamiaka reminded me as I asked him to. "Excellent." I replied as I flew myself over the streets using telekinesis. A few days ago a criminal begged me to spare him if he told me of his accomplices plans, I lied to him, as his kind did to me...he would not escape my judgment. I returned to my residence at the moment, a rooftop of an apartment building. I had taken a sleeping bag from a department store and been using it from the one I required anymore, I slept invisible so for anyone who saw it just looked like a sleeping bag, if people got too suspicious however I'd move to another rooftop. "Wake me up around noon." I ordered Yamiaka, they would rob the store at about twelve thirty if the now deceased thief was to be trusted. . "Yes sir." He replied without pause. I threw a rock at my arm, triggering the downside of my quirk and exhausting me which allowed me to pass out without problem. "Sir, it's time." Yamiaka informed me as he woke me up. I quickly shook the drowsiness off as I got out of the sleeping bag. Using a sleeping bag in a trench coat was not comfortable, but comfort was a secondary objective and I was unsure if I deserved the luxury. What I was doing…it was a guilty pleasure. To an extent I knew it was immoral, but someone had to punish these monsters, and if the heroes would not then I would. I picked up my metal quarterstaff and held it for a moment, every time I picked it up I was reminded of Omiora, basically my second mother, and how Ugoka had betrayed me and left LOGIC, he had started a gang now with the scientist Hatsu and Chimoka now. If I ever saw them again, I'd kill them. "It begins…" The voices started up. "Stop them, kill them, retribution." They said in anything but unison, it was usually chaos when they started to speak and it only got worse the longer they waited. I started to fly to Sepuki Bank as it was the bank that would be robbed, I was there in no time. I pondered why anyone would be stupid enough to rob a bank in mid day, but decided that they had to be stupid to do anything as straightforward as robbing a bank in Tokyo. "They will come, they will die." The voices whispered. I stayed focused on the banks entrance, looking for anyone who seemed out of place. It took awhile but eventually three men and a woman walked together towards the bank in a serious fashion. In a flash their faces were covered in smoke and they rushed into the bank. "Showtime." I muttered as I lowered myself towards the banks entrance.

Once I made it to the entrance I heard a lot of yelling. "Get on the ground! Now!" One male yelled, he presumably yelled this repeatedly as many people were already on the ground. "Phones, Jewelry, anything of value take it out and spill it!" Another male voice yelled. "Kill them." The voices said. "Kill them, the civilians must be saved." I looked at the cowering people, a small part of me was concerned for their safety, but honestly I was more so focused on executing these criminals. I made my way to the one in the middle and smiled before I said "How powerful of you…". He whipped around to see no one there and yelled at an older man. "What the hell!? Did You say that!?" His fists became inflamed as he yelled. "Are you lookin for trouble grandpa!?". "Maybe you're just going mad!". I taunted him. "Say that again!" He said to the old man. "Wait…" The old man said. "I...I hear it too…". The criminal gave a confused look before I picked him up. "What the-" He uttered before I crumpled him up like a piece of paper, leaving a...mess in my wake. "The mask! It's the mask!" I heard a voice call out. I didn't know I had a nickname, nor did it matter. "Get it!" The female voice called and two other criminals rushed at me, but not in time as my mask disappeared and they were left without a clue as to where I was. The smoke that hid their face had dissipated, I wondered if it was the deceased criminals quirk, but then decided I didn't care enough to think about it any longer. I dryly laughed as I circled the three remaining criminals "Show yourself!" The second male yelled. I flew over to him and placed the rod of the quarter staff over his neck. "So be it." I muttered as I snapped his neck. I quickly flew myself away before the two others could retaliate and they just stared at my mask, the female looked pissed and the other male looked terrified. "Stay away from us!" He yelled as my mask disappeared again. "You never should've come here…" I declared as I now flew around them. "Quit toying...finish The Job." The voices complained to me. I looked at them and decided I'd best end it soon, I was getting carried away. "W-What are we gonna do!?" The male asked the female. "Let me think…" She started as she scanned the room, her eye's then turned a murky red before she pointed in my direction. "There! Hatred!" They then charged at me as the males eyes turned the same color. I dodged the female's assault as the male appeared to form a bat like structure out of his arm, he swung at me as she drew a knife. After dodging a few times I used my telekinesis to redirect her stab attempt on me to stab the male. "Shit!" she yelled as the male cried in pain. I then used my quarterstaff to knock her down and used my quirk to slam her into the ground on her neck, killing her instantly. "No! No!" The last criminal repeated as he crawled away.

"Those who fight back against my prosecution...only make it harder." I declared as I walked to him. I looked around me to see the large number of people looking in fear or awe. "Go...now." I instructed them, it didn't take long for everyone to scramble out of the building."Get away from me! Get away!" He ordered as he kept crawling backwards from my now visible mask. "You chose to come here…" I reminded the criminal. "Reap what you sow…" I said as I lifted him up. "No!" he pleaded as I grabbed him. "That's enough!" I heard a loud, male voice command in my direction. I looked over to the voice's owner and was unpleasantly surprised, It was a hero I'd seen before, he tried to stop me when LOGIC raided a grocery store for food...I was surprised to see him here. "You…" I uttered. "I remember you…" I then snapped the legs of the criminal, I knew if I kept holding him it would get taxing and I didn't want him to escape. He landed on the ground in another pained cry. "What have you done to these people!?" The hero asked me in disbelief upon seeing the mangled corpses behind me. "People?" I asked in fake bemusement "These are criminals...monsters…" I explained to him. "And they'll be put down by such." I added. "Vigilantism is not the right way to end the problem of criminals." The hero explained. I sighed and shook my head, which was only telegraphed by my mask. "You said you know me…" The hero reminded me. "What should I call you, hero?" I asked him. He paused for a second before he finally said. "You can call me Proton." He said to me. "An interesting name." I investigated. "It's meant to make people think positively." He replied. "Do you have a name?" I laughed at this. "Indeed I do." I informed him as I allowed myself to be visible. His body jerked slightly upon my revelation. "That coat…" He muttered. "It's seen better days…" I said to him. "Matchigaten?" He said hesitantly. "I understand your confusion." I said to him. "To go from their savior, to their executioner...it must be strange.". "This makes no sense...your quirk isn't...You can't…" Proton started. "Don't think too hard on it." I replied. "It won't help.". "What's wrong with your voice?" He investigated. I chucked at him and said "I'm okay, though I appreciate your concern." Proton shook his head and said. "You...you need to come with me, you have much to answer for.". "LOGIC or the criminals?" I asked him sarcastically. "Both." He simply replied. I shook my head again. "You heroes must stay out of my way." I told him as I turned my gaze to the one currently trapped on the floor. "I have important work to do, these monsters won't exterminate themselves.". "I thought heroes were the monsters." Proton retorted. "We're all monsters." I snapped as I quickly looked at him. "But I'm only interested in killing the criminals, there won't be a need for heroes once they're all gone.". Proton then pulled out a canister from behind him. "Criminals or not I can't allow you to kill anymore people, I am asking you to surrender.". "I'm not interested in fighting you." I said, genuinely disinterested. "Kill him." The voices started. "No." I replied. "Not the hero!" They snapped back. I looked at the man crawling away again. "Too risky now...we've made a big enough impact." I replied. "Who are you-" proton started but I interrupted him by saying "Goodbye." as I turned invisible once again.

I levitated myself towards the door but Proton jumped into it, even if he couldn't see me he knew it was my only way out. I looked towards the windows and decided they would be my best option but knew that if I broke one he'd simply jump in the way. I flew back to the middle of the room and set out a telekinetic wave which broke all the windows, my mask was visible for a short while but it re-dissipated. Proton wasn't able to stop me from flying out of the window despite his efforts as there were too many, I flew myself back to my "Home" without a second thought. "Sir." Yamiaka started. "You did well.". "I am aware." I replied bluntly. "They all paid.". There was a pause before he finally asked "Well what of the voices?". "They're satiated." I replied plainly. "So they're silent...you should know this.". "I'm sorry sir." Yamiaka said with a tinge of guilt. "I'm just worried...this is all you do anymore.". He wasn't wrong, this was all I did now. Punish the monsters who betrayed me, who tricked me...but that was okay in my opinion. "Yes, and I need better equipment." I interjected as I stared at the quarterstaff in my hand. "This simply isn't deadly enough.". Yamiaka appeared to give a slightly surprised look before he disappeared. I knew that Gorappu's estate had many weapons from my visit there, I could capitalize on that. Not another word was said for the remainder of the trip, once I made it to the rooftop where my sleeping bag resided I picked it up and said to myself "I must find Gorrapu's estate." I didn't know where it was however and I thought on how I'd gain the location. "Its not as if I can just ask someone." I thought aloud. "Or can I?". I thought to myself that it wouldn't be hard to ask someone backed into a corner, whether it be a criminal or a civilian. However criminals were liabil to lie, and I'd rather not intimidate information out of a civilian. In the end however I made peace with the fact I had no other choice. I lifted myself towards the alleys, it was in the shadows where I had free reign and while some may call that cowardly I saw it as an advantage. I lurked until I saw a male walking down the alley on his phone, he seemed to be middle class, probably taking a shortcut to get somewhere, he'd be the first target. Though I didn't plan to hurt the citizen, I had to get that axe, one way or another. "Greetings." I said in a very raspy voice, shocking him as I allowed my mask to become visible.

Six Months Later..

"No…" I said as I tossed. "You've become a monster!" Ugoka shouted at me. "I've grown, become smarter, I know not to trust you people!" I retorted. I turned in the mangy mattress as I relived this experience. Ugoka narrowly dodged my axe as I swung it at his head. "She wouldn't have wanted this for you!" He angrily shouted as he punched at me, which was blocked by a barrier. "Kill him" They encouraged. "He betrayed you...left you.". "Stop…" I muttered as I slept. "I'm going to rip you apart." I muttered darkly, I could see the pain, the hatred on my face. Then we jumped towards each other. "Ugoka!" I yelled as I woke up in a cold sweat. My breaths were heavy and slow, I stared in front of me as my mind recognized what had just happened as the recurring dream that still seemed to plague me. I shouted as I sent a gust of telekinetic energy at a nearby wall, I was residing in an old disheveled lumber store near Musutafu. "Why!? Why can't I forget!?" I yelled to the silent darkness, I was far enough away from the highway to be able to do that without notice, besides even if they did find me again I'd still be able to get away. Ever since I got my axe all I've been doing is executing criminals, for the longest time I was systematically taking out a gang, recently I finally took out its leader, something the heroes were not too pleased about despite them being "The Good Guys". Now I was ready to do my most risky plan yet, an invasion into Tarturus, it was all I could think about for the past few days, all I ever felt anymore was hatred, despair and fear...but I couldn't let that distract me, I had a job to do. Well, Tarturus wasn't the only thing...Ugoka, about half way through my "crusade" we ran into each other, with the voices goading me, my personal anger towards him leaving me and his...personality showing I attacked him, in the moment I wanted to kill him, I wanted to kill Hatsu and Chimoka as well, but now...I held quite a bit of regret with a dash of dulled down anger towards him. "Why can't I just…" I started to repeat, before I realized exactly why as I looked at the table in the middle of the room. "Because I'm not focused." I uttered. I got up and leaned on the table as I looked at the "Map" of Tarturus, it was crude, scribbled by one of their guards. It was regrettable, but he survived...and it was for the greater good. If the heroes wouldn't do what was necessary to end the plague of villains I would have to. "Sir…" Yamiaka said hesitantly.". "Yes Yamiaka?" I asked with an exasperated sigh, I knew where he was going with this. "Perhaps...you should take a break." He suggested. For a while now he seemed like he was trying to get me to back out, it never worked. "You know I can't do that." I said coldly. There was a time when I was warmer, more hospitable. But my conscience adapted to the task at hand, my once kind demeanor changed a long time ago. "Go away, and don't come back until I call for you." I uttered. Yamiaka did so without a word, I knew this saddened him, but I didn't care. I looked over the map but then I heard a squelching to my left, I turned around to see what appeared to be a portal had opened, and out of it came a group of people...compiled of the last people I wanted to see. "Hey kiddo…" He said to me, It was "Uncle" Kiyaka, and he brought friends.
