Welcome back! It's me~ Today I have another chapter for you! Yay! Now enough chit chat, ONTO THE STORY!
Goldie P.O.V: My eyes snapped open and my body shot up into a sitting position at the shout of my name. I looked around blearly to come face to face with a very angry Noah. I screamed and fell out of the bed. This woke up Chai. " Goldie? What the heck are you doing on the floor? It's too early for your shenanigans. " He mumbled. Then he saw his dad. He squeaked and pulled the covers up to his nose. " And just what do you think you two are doing?! " Noah yelled. Mike quickly ran into the room at the sound of distress coming from his husband. He looked at Chai, then at me, and finally at Noah before his mouth formed into a 'O'. He smiled sheepishly and pulled on Noah's arm, trying to lead him away from us. Noah refused. That went on for another few seconds before Michael got fed up and walked nearer to Noah, grabbed him by the waist, and hauled him over his shoulder. " Eggs!? What the heck!? Put me down! Eggs~ Please? Put me down! Arg! This isn't over! " He yelled at me. Mike turned around. He gave me a warm smile before all that warmth left his face and was replaced by a cold grin. " If you hurt my son I will break everyone in your nightmare body and shove your remains into a freddy suit. Got that? " I gulped. " Y-Yes sir. " Suddenly the grin was gone and he smiled like it was never there. " Ok then! I better get going! Sorry about Noah by the way! Make sure to come down and get breakfast and pack your bags! We're trying to find a house to stay in. Goodbye boys! " And with that Chai's dad walked out of the room with his husband on his shoulder and closed the door behind him. I looked up at Chai and he looked down at me. " What in the world was that? " He asked me. I shrugged. " I don't know and I don't care. I'm just grateful they allowed me to be with you. " He giggled and blushed. I thought it was adorable. " You know, your laugh is adorable. " I said, getting up and booping his nose. He blushed furiously and lightly hit me on my arm. " Stop it. " He said playfully. I helped him off the bed and we both went to get dressed so we could go down for breakfast.
I was currently on my phone, scrolling through the internet, when Chai finally came out of the bathroom. He was wearing a plain, white shirt, ripped jeans, and a purple flannel. He had two black leather bands around his wrists and also had gold Helix chain earrings on. ( Just search up " helix chain earrings " if you don't know what they are ) His hair was in a braided, messy, low bun. I was wearing a simple, gold, long sleeve t-shirt, black pants, and a white scarf. Earlier I had also put some metal beads and charms in my hair. I thought they looked pretty cool. When I laid eyes on Chai I said breathlessly, " Wow… " He smiled at me and walked over to me to give me a kiss on my cheek. " You don't look too bad yourself Goldie. " He commented, looking me up and down. I reached down and grabbed my boyfriend's hand. We made our way down to the breakfast hall and found the rest of our family. " Ah! Good Morning boys! " Michael greeted us. I looked over to his table and saw that Noah was glaring at me. I swallowed hard. " Chai, dear, you look very nice today! Here you go, you two. " Mike commented as he handed us each a plate of food. We walked over to the table where Nootmare, Chris, N. Foxy, and N. Chica were sitting. Both of us sat down. We started chatting with everyone but I noticed that Chris and Night were avoiding talking to me. It must be because of yesterday. " Listen. Chris Nightmare, I'm sorry about yesterday. I was in a bad mood. I shouldn't have snapped at you guys like that. " I said to them. Nightmare looked like he was about to say something when Chris cut him off. " We forgive you Goldie. Do you mind telling us what was wrong? " I tensed and looked over at Chai, silently asking if I was allowed to tell them. Chai nodded. " Uh, well, you see… I was confused about some feelings for… someone, but we have worked it out together. " The other nightmares looked confused while Chris was continuously looking back and forth between me and Chai before he let out a squeal. Night fell out of his chair. " What the heck Chris!? " Noot said, rubbing his ears. Chris snapped his neck towards his boyfriend. " Don't you see!? Chai and Goldie got together! " Night just blinked. Then a smug grin formed on his face. He leaped to his feet and shouted across the dining room, " ELIZABETH! YOU OWE ME 10 BUCKS! HA! " Elizabeth looked up from her plate, looked at me, looked at Chai, and screamed back, " GOSH DANG IT! " she huffed and sat down, digging through her bag and pulled out a couple bills. She stomped over to our table and shoved the dollars in Nightmare's hand. Then she turned to us. " Please don't misinterpret my actions. I'm very happy for you both! I just wish I hadn't made that bet against Nightmare… " I blinked. Wait- " YOU BET ON US?! " I screeched at her. She shrugged sheepishly and ran back to her table. I whipped around to face Nightmare. " You bet on my love life?! " I shouted at him. I let out a hardy laugh. " Haha! Yes. I. Did. " He stated. " Hmph. " I huffed as I sat down next to my very red boyfriend. " Chai~? Are you ok?... Do I need to do 'CPR' again? " I asked him, wiggling my eyebrows. " Ah! Idiot! " He said, snapping out of it. " I still think 'CPR' Is necessary, don't you think? " He stared at me with wide eyes as I laid a soft peck on his lips. " Ahhh! " Chai exclaimed and fell backwards out of his chair. " Chai! " I screamed. I got down on my hands and knees next to him. He had a dreamy look on his face. " Dude, I think you broke him. " N. Foxy said. I blushed. Chris stared, wide eyed at something behind me. I looked up to see Mike holding back Noah. " EEP! " I squeaked. I then picked up Chai, bridle style, and ran out of the dining area.
Chai P.O.V: I gripped Goldie's shoulders as we ran out of the room. " W-What are y-you doing!? " I cried out. He just laughed. " Your dad is going to kill me! " I stared at him wide eyed. He ran us back up to our room. " Come on. Put your swimsuit on. We're going down to the pool. " I smiled at him and went into the bathroom to change. I came out soon later and me and Goldie started to walk out the door when he stopped me. " You can't go out there like that. " He told me. I turned around to look confused at him. He pulled us back in the room and ran around, searching for something. " Goldie, what are you doing? " I asked him. He came out from behind the bed with a towel. He walked up to me and wrapped it around my chest. I blushed. " There. Much better. " Finally we headed down to the pool. It was empty just like last time. I slipped off my towel and jumped into the water. When my head resurfaced I saw Goldie looking around suspiciously, as if someone was watching me. " Goldie, stop being weird and get in the water before I make you. " I told him bluntly. He sighed, but took one more look around the pool yard suspiciously. " That's it. " I said. He looked at me frantically. " Wait! Chai! Please! I'm sorry! Nooooooooooo! " I ripped his towel out of his grip, picked him up, and threw him into the freezing pool water. A few seconds later his head bobbed up from out of the water. I slid into the water next to him. He swam closer to me and smiled. I smiled back.
We spent the next few hours swimming around in the empty pool. As we got out at around 4:30 pm, I shivered. Goldie looked at me, narrowing his eyes. " Are you cold? " He asked me. " N-No. " I responded. His eyes narrowed even more and he moved closer to me. He grabbed my chin and I felt my face heat up. " You know, you shouldn't lie to me. That's not very nice, now is it? " I shivered again. Then he placed a kiss on my lips. I leaned into the kiss and he reached behind me to grab his large sweatshirt. As we broke the kiss for air he put it on me. I snuggled into him, wearing his oversized hoodie. He smiled down at me and I offered him a smile back. My smile quickly became a smirk and a quick look of fear passed over Goldie's face. " Chai… " He said warningly. " Now, you have carried me two times. I think it is your turn. " His eyes went wide and before he knew it, I was carrying him up the flight of steps towards our room. He was heavy, not gonna lie, but I managed to carry him all the way back to the room.
When I set him down he immediately asked me, " Are you hurt? " I gave him a look. " No, I'm not. Also, I'm not a baby. If you can carry me I should be able to carry you without you constantly worrying about me. " He looked down in shame. I immediately felt bad. " Baby, don't cry. I'm sorry. " He sniffed. " I-I just… worry about you… I love you and I don't want anyone to hurt you. " I smiled at him softly and pulled him into a hug. " Let's take a nap before dinner, ok? " I said. Gold just nodded into my chest. We got out of our damp swimsuits and into our clothes from earlier. I picked Gold up and he wrapped his legs around my waist. I brought us over to my bed and laid us down. As my eyes closed I thought about how lucky I was to have such an amazing family and beautiful boyfriend.

Goldie P.O.V: I slowly opened my eyes and adjusted to the light flooding in from the windows beside me. Ah, that was a good nap. I looked down only to find that Chai wasn't in the bed with me. I shot up out of the covers and frantically looked around. He was nowhere in sight. ' Ok, breath. He probably just went to see his parents to ask them a question or went to go get a snack. There is no need to worry. He can protect himself, he said that earlier. ' I took 5 deep breaths in and out and sat at the foot of my bed patiently. 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes past and Chai still hadn't shown. Suddenly the door opened and N. Chica walked in. I slumped. " What's wrong Goldie? " She asked me. " It's nothing. Have you seen Chai? " I asked hopefully. She gave me a sad look. " I saw him walk out of the hotel with his family. They are staying in a different house than us. " I froze. " W-What? " I asked, not sure if I had heard right. " I said that Chai, Mike, Noah, Lucas, and Julia left the hotel because they had found a house that they could temporarily stay in while before we find a big enough house to fit us all. " Chica told me again. " O-Ok. Thanks for telling me. " She looked at me pityingly. Then she grabbed what she originally came for and left.
For the rest of the night I stayed up in the room. William and Chris tried to get me to come out for dinner but I just stayed in my room. I couldn't believe Chai had just left without even saying goodbye. I know it might seem like I'm being a bit dramatic but nightmares are very attached to their spouses. They do not have set 'mates' but once the relationship is 'official' a nightmare now sees their spouse as theirs and only theirs. Chai knew that yet he still left. At 9:45 everyone came in to get ready for bed. An hour or so past before everyone was actually in bed though. Nightmare came to our bed holding Chris. I felt jealousy spike within me. I jerkly flipped to the wall facing away from them. I could practically feel their worried gazes on my back. I turned my head to face them and snapped, " WHAT!? " Chris flinched and turned back around. Nootmare glared at me. I didn't care. I just turned back around and closed my eyes.
For the next few days I sort of got into a routine. Wake up, get dressed, brush teeth, eat small to no breakfast, sit in the main lobby staring at a wall for a few hours, go up to my room and sit on the bed for a few hours, skip lunch, go out to the pool and sit on a chair staring at it, get up and be forced to eat a plate of dinner, go back to my room, and cry myself to sleep. It was depressing. I didn't talk to anyone, barely ate, and was always tired because I didn't get enough sleep. I remember one day Nightmare told me to snap out of it and get over myself and I responded with, " What if Chris left you? " He faltered for a moment before responding, " Chris wouldn't leave me. " He said firmly. " Well I thought Chai wouldn't leave me either. " He had no words for that so I went back to staring at the wall.
It was at 12:30 that I shot awake from a bad dream. I was sweating profusely and breathing heavily. It was about Chai breaking up with me. His statements from the dreams danced around in my head. I couldn't take it anymore. I quietly padded to my suitcase, got dressed, and walked out of that hotel. I walked the streets for a while before I caught scent of another nightmare. It might be Chai! I ran towards it and came across a… chair. Dang it. It wasn't Chai. I picked up on another scent and rushed to follow that. It was pretty far away and I almost got hit a couple times by a car. The scent soon brought me to a house. It seemed to be abandoned but I could hear the breathing of a family inside. This was them! I located Chai's room to be on the back side of the house and the very top window. I might get hurt if I tried to climb it but… CHai was in there so my safety wasn't really a concern right now. I crawled up the vine fence and jiggled open the window. I just barely fit through the small opening I had managed to create. When my feet hit the floor lightly I realized just how exhausted I was. I saw Chai peacefully sleeping alone in his bed. I made my way over to him. God, he was beautiful. I partly lifted up the sheets and slid into his grasp. His arms unconsciously made their way around me and I pulled the warm blankets back over us. I sighed in contentment and relief. I was finally where I was supposed to be.
Chai P.O.V: I woke up warm. That's a first. Ever since I had to leave Goldie I was always so cold. It was freezing all the time. He wasn't there to hold me. Or carry me. Or cuddle me. I was miserable. I didn't think my parents knew of nightmare mates so I couldn't really blame them. Maybe Julia had snuck into my room last night. My eyes flicked down to where I suspected Julia was but what I saw surprised me. It was Goldie! How did he get here? The hotel he was staying at was a good 20-30 miles from here. DID HE WALK!? In the freezing cold! In just that!? All of the sudden Gold started to move. His beautiful blue eyes darted up to me. " Good Morning Chai. " Greeted me. " What are you doing here!? " I hissed back. He flinched back and looked down. I felt really bad after I said it. " I'm sorry baby. I was just surprised. Please don't cry. " I said softly. He scooched closer towards me and buried his face in my chest. I wrapped my arms back around him. He coughed. I frowned and placed my hand on his forehead. It was warm. " Baby, how did you get here? " I asked him hesitantly. " I-I walked? " He said nervously. " You. WHAT!? " I screeched. " Now look what you've done! You're sick! " L leaped out of bed and rushed down stairs to look for medicine. When I couldn't find any I remembered that this was a new house and I would have to go out and buy medicine if I wanted any. I huffed and hurried back upstairs to my eagerly awaiting boyfriend. " Can you cuddle with me? " He begged. " Not yet. Maybe later. I need to go to the store to go get some medicine. I'll do that after I get you some food, you're so skinny! Have you even been eating!? " I inquired. He looked down and shook his head. I sighed and facepalmed. I gave him a quick kiss on the forehead and walked back downstairs to make him some chicken noodle soup. When I was done heating up the soup I carefully brought it up to my room and started to feed Goldie. " Chai! I'm sick! Not disabled! " He screamed. I shut him down with one stare and kept feeding him. " I'm making sure you are eating. " I told him. Once he had finished the whole bowl, I got up, washed the dish, grabbed a glass of water, a wet rag, and an extra blanket. After I made sure Gold was situated properly and promised to get some sleep while I was out, I grabbed my coat, hat, gloves, and some money I had gotten from Papa's purse, I headed out the front door. I walked to the nearest drug store. As I walked in a worker greeted me. " Hello welcome to- uh, hi? May I help you child? " I gave him a dead stare. " I would like to inquire where the medicine to treat a common cold might be? " The employee just blinked. " Uh, that way? " He pointed down an aisle close to us. " Thank you. " I said and made my way past him to look for medicine for my boyfriend.
I brought a hot water bag, a bottle of cold medicine, and some candy to the paying counter. The cashier looked skeptically at me. She was a skinny woman that sorta looked like a horse. " And just what do you think you're doing buying all this? " I semi-glared at her. " If you must know, my boyfriend has a cold and I am taking care of him like a good spouse. " The woman blinked and laughed. " You? Have a boyfriend? Child, you are, like, 10. You can't have a boyfriend. Now where are your parents? " I glared at her. " I don't have time for this. Just let me pay and leave. This is not your business to question how I am using your products. " She glared at me, but still would not ring me up. I sighed. " Is there another employee that is willing to ring me up here? " Another worker noticed the situation and walked over. " Does there seem to be a problem? " He asked us. I was about to speak but then the lady cut me off. " This child is trying to buy things without a parent and is making up false stories. " The man looked down at me. " Is this true? " I did not falter. " No sir, it is not true. I was just trying to buy some medicine for my sick boyfriend at home when this woman started to ask personal questions about why I was buying it. " The man nodded. " But are your parents around? " At this point I was fed up with these two. I needed to get home because Goldie would start to worry and then he would get out of bed and that was not good. I slammed my hands on the counter and a bit of my nightmare leaked out. " You will let me pay for my items. Now stop asking QUESTIONS! " I yelled in my animatronic voice. The two employees stepped back in fear, shaking. They quickly nodded and rang me up. " Thank you! " I called back as I walked out of the store. ' That took too long ' I thought to myself.
When I arrived back home I was surprised that the rest of my family wasn't awake yet. I made my way upstairs and opened my bedroom door. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Goldie was still in his bed, tucked in. He looked like an excited puppy at the sight of me. I set down my bag and walked over to him. But as soon as I got close Gold pulled me onto the bed and started to tickle me. I laughed and giggled. " Goldie! Hahahaha! Stop! Hehehe! " I said. Finally he stopped. " I missed you! You took so long~! " He whined. I smiled. " I'm sorry. I ran into some trouble at the store. " His eyes shot up and narrowed. " What kind of trouble? Are you ok? " I nodded. " It was just this lady questioning why I was buying medicine. We sorta got into a fight. Speaking of medicine… " I walked over and grabbed it out of the bag. Gold hissed. ' Nooooooooo! I don't wanna! " I sighed. " If you take it I will give a kiss. " He perked up. And nodded. I poured some into a spoon and he opened his mouth so I could give it to him. After he swallowed he stuck his tongue out in disgust. He looked up at me. " Ok, I ate it. Now kiss. " He said, pointing at his lips. " No. I don't want to taste the nasty medicine too. " He pushed out his bottom lip and wined and begged. I sighed and leaned forward. He kissed me back. After I pulled away he was grinning. I rolled my eyes. I heard a disturbance from downstairs. My family must be up. " Hey, my family is awake. " I told my boyfriend. He nervously nodded. " Don't worry. I won't let Dad hurt you. " He smiled gratefully up at me. " Thanks, I love you. " I froze. It was the first time he had said he loved me ( Don't quote me on that. I don't remember ). Then I relaxed. " I love you too. "
