Dear Eva,

Now that we have a firm and settled address, I thought it a good idea that we could write to each other in addition to the phone calls and the odd postcard. How have you been? I am so delighted that the king of Wakanda has asked for your expertise; he clearly sees your talent as well as I do. Shuri also sounds delightful, and it saddens me that I missed their visit.

What with my accent and everything, Wanda and I are very much enjoying Britain. Scotland in particular is very beautiful. I do hope you will be able to make it over soon, as the landscapes of the countryside and the gardens of the cities are quite extraordinary. I have enclosed some pictures should you want to use them as references for any of your projects, as well as some pressed flowers and a packet of seeds that are taken from a local wildflower meadow.

Of course, the surroundings aren't the only thing we are enjoying so much. Since we consider it safer to not spend too much time in public, we have been watching a lot of television. There are an awful lot of BBC channels over here, as well as one called Dave. Wanda has become enthralled with the Jeremy Kyle show in particular, although I have to admit I do not really see the appeal. I, meanwhile, have found a programme about detectorists. It is called Detectorists. It is quite funny, and I am learning a lot about metal detecting from it. I have also been reading a lot; thank you for your suggestion of The Orchid Thief, as I found it fascinating. Please, however, do not consider orchid theft a viable career option. It would cause me great amounts of stress to have you on the run from the law as well!

I must wrap this up, as I agreed to cook dinner tonight and, since I do not eat, it takes me a lot longer than average to figure out if what I am cooking is edible or not. I hope to hear from you soon and, in the meantime, please look after yourself and Rachel Carson.

With love and friendship,

Vision x

PS Wanda sends her love, and was wondering if you had seen Queer Eye on Netflix yet. I don't know what that is, but I assume that it's very important.

To Vision

I'll write you letters if you really want me to but I think it's a bit unfair since you're a very literate person and I can't spell words much more complicated than marmalade without looking them up in a dictionary. Also YOU'RE supposed to be my dictionary and by the time I've asked you it's kind of defeating the point since you know what the letter's about anyway. But yes I will write. Thank you for the flowers and the seeds and the photos. Tell Wanda that I really like her new hair color, and that my favorite one of the Fab Five on Queer Eye is Jonathan. You don't have to understand what we're talking about. Just smile and nod and it will all be fine. Also if you take up metal detecting you had better hope Stark doesn't find out or he'll bully you about it for the rest of your life.

Not much exciting has happened to me. I bought a new plant! Now my bathroom is all filled up with different types of calatheas and it looks SO COOL. I'm running out of space to put them. The rooftop allotment is going really well too. Stark Industries gave us funding for a greenhouse, so we can work on it even when it gets cold. The bonsai tree you got me for my birthday is getting really big now. Like, even bigger than Rachel Carson. And that's saying something. She keeps hissing at it because she thinks it's an enemy. I've raised her to be very aggressive. I'm such a good mom.

Speaking of moms – mine came to visit again recently. It's still awkward but we're getting better. I managed two whole hours with her the other day without getting into a single argument. I mean YEAH, I had a migraine by the end of it and it was more stressful than that one time I got kidnapped, but still. A success! You had better be super proud of me.

Alvie seems really happy in Wakanda too. Am I allowed to tell you that? I dunno. I guess if YOU don't tell anyone then it's alright. It's so hard to keep track of all this – at least none of you have secret identities, or it would get really confusing. Anyway, she got made a doctor by the University of Wakanda which is awesome. She tried explaining to me what she was a doctor OF but I stopped listening pretty quickly because it was all tech-y and stuff. You'd probably find it really interesting, though. Next time there's an alien invasion or whatever and y'all have to gang up you should totally ask her about it.

Gotta go. Writing this on my lunch break and if I'm not back behind the counter again on time Mr G will grill me like a panini. Love you! Don't do anything stupid.

Xoxo, Eva

A/N I was watching Detectorists on netflix and I was like, "you know who would love this? A woolly jumper-wearing, dorky English android." Also, yes. That is a Gossip Girl reference. It is a terrible show and I love it so much and baby-faced Sebastian Stan is a work of art. Anyway... this chapter was really fun. I especially liked taking into account how different Eva and Vision's writing styles would be.
