Executor:

Firmus Piett stared out of the viewport at the approaching tie advanced x1. Lord Vader's starfighter had just dropped out of hyperspace moments ago. He saw Darth Vader approaching his side. The Sith Lord folded his arms as he looked out of the viewport. Firmus could tell that Vader was not at all surprised by the sudden appearance of his ship, "That is Luke."

At that moment an image of the boy materialized before the two men. Firmus noticed that the boy had blonde hair and blue eyes. It was clear that the boy favored his father's appearance in the same way that Leia took after her mother.

"Luke I will be down in the hanger bay to get you. We have a lot to talk about." Vader said.
"Yes we do dad I have a lot to tell everyone," Luke answered.
"We found out a great deal from the data we obtained."
"I had a Force vision which will reveal far more," Luke lied.

Vader's eyes narrowed as he exchanged a glance with Piett. He knew that Luke was hiding something but he decided that he would be patient with the boy. Eventually, Luke would tell him what had happened on his adventure.

The two men walked side by side towards the turbolift.

When the doors closed the two men knew that their conversation was automatically devoid of any potential eavesdropping from the command bridge staff.

"Is he the oldest?" Piett asked.

"By a few moments. He is Leia's twin," Vader answered.

"Does she share your piloting skills?" the Admiral inquired.

Vader grinned, "They are both excellent pilots but they have a long ways to go before they will be as good as me. Granted, there is not one pilot on this ship that could best their skills besides me."
"What about that Corellian?" Firmus asked as he thought of Han Solo.
"Him and my wife would be close behind them and Ahsoka Tano and General Kenobi should not be underestimated both are excellent pilots as well," Vader replied.

"Your wife is a woman of many talents, politician, military commander, mother and pilot," Firmus observed.

"You seemed to be quite familiar with her even before you meet her," Vader said with narrowed eyes as he did his best not to betray his jealousy.

Firmus looked at his commanding officer with a smile.

"Milord my wife is a huge admirer of her and she is one of her heroes." Piett hated admitting to Lord Vader that his wife as such an admirer of one who was clearly so anti Empire in their political and philosophical views but he had no choice. He also suspected that informing the Sith Lord that his wife revered his own wife would not put either of them in danger.
"Your wife admires my wife?" Vader asked in astonishment.

"Yes, I was shocked that she married me because she does not approve of the Empire by any means."
"Do you have children?" Vader asked.

"We have four," Firmus said.

"Four?" Vader exclaimed in surprise.

"Our oldest is the same age as your twins and the youngest is just two years old now."
"That is a lot to keep you busy," Vader said with a smile.
"We were done before Luna came along, she was our accidental baby."
"What all do you have?" Vader asked.

"We have my eldest son Kirkland, My older daughter Emma who was born two years later and then my four-year-old son Cody."
"Who is more responsible Kirkland or Emma?" Vader asked.

"Emma by a long shot," Firmus said with a laugh.

"Which of the twins is more responsible?" Firmus questioned.

The turbolift stopped as Vader turned to him with amusement, "Ask me after I see the kind of damage that Luke has done to my ship with his lightspeed skipping but so far they are both equal amounts of trouble. That is from what I have seen and from what Padmé tells me."

The two men laughed for a moment before Firmus became serious, "I wouldn't want to be him if I damaged your ship."
"If he just repaired it like I would have he will be fine," Vader said.

Firmus said nothing as Vader was a man of very few words and significant mystery. He remembered the occasion when he had first had the experience of witnessing Vader's engineering brilliance just months earlier when he entered Lord Vader's private hanger and witnessed the man working on his own starfighter personally. The man's skills were exceptional and he suspected that Vader was more mechanically inclined than the Executor's chief engineer. The raw mechanical talent that the man displayed fascinated him and it made him wonder what else Vader could do in his life. Like his wife the man was clearly a man of many talents.

"Have you decided what you will do in relation to the Empire at this point?" Firmus asked as he changed the subject.

"I have been thinking about that a great deal. I could abandon my post although he would come here and you and General Veers would be endangered for what you know," Vader answered

"And we have talked the two of us," Piett said.

Vader turned to Piett. He found himself concerned that Piett and Veers were already conversing on what they should do in regards to the future history that they knew.

"What are the two of you thinking?"
"We fight for you before the Emperor and the Empire. The Empire that we serve is not what we thought we were serving. If your wife and the Alliance can build something better with likeminded disillusioned Imperials like us, we want to be a part of it."

"I can serve as a spy for the Alliance. We can plan and consolidate loyalty among the younger cohort on this ship. Eventually we can officially defect but it makes sense for us to sabotage the Empire from within."

Piett looked at him recognizing the ingenuity in the idea. "You won't be able to see your family as often but we could do far more damage from within at our position than we could if we went rogue right now."

Vader replied, "We need to wait. We can give valuable intel to the Alliance and prolong the manhunt by continuously chasing them and then strike when the time is right."

"That is what General Veers and I think we should do. Neither of us are too concerned about dying but we would like to be on the right side of history. I am not happy about how the New Republic remembers me and he is not happy with his alternate future."
Vader nodded, "I am not too happy with mine either. At least in this one I am not trapped in a walking coffin."

"You would be stupid to give up your second chance Milord, besides that you can have your family and you can be more involved with your youngest who doesn't exist in their alternate reality."
Vader couldn't argue with Piett. He knew the man took a risk in being as frank as he had been but Piett was right. He would be stupid to pass up his opportunity to change history.

Luke emerged from the cockpit of his father's starfighter to the sight of his family standing alongside a man in an imperial uniform. He ran forward and embraced Leia first as he saw Han and Chewie entering the room alongside Ben and Ahsoka. He looked back at his father's starfighter as he took in his surroundings. The hanger was small and compact his father had said that the hanger was his personal hanger. He noticed two other tie advanced x1 fighters that were in the hanger. His sister was the first one to hug him as his father stood behind her. After a moment, he broke away from Leia and hugged his father.

"I did the best I could with your ship Dad."
"If you are half as good of a mechanic as I am then I am sure she is just fine," Vader said.
"I am better than half as good," Luke said.

Leia had just stepped back from her father and brother when Padmé passed Cordé to her. She took Cordé from her mother and looked down at her newborn sister with a bright smile.

Luke turned to his mother who eagerly took him in her arms as she kissed his cheek. She looked at him with relief.

"I was so worried about you Luke."
"I am fine," Luke said. Luke noticed his father examining the ship as he climbed into the cockpit.

He turned back to his mother and noticed her reaching for Cordé who was currently in Leia's arms.

Padmé held her towards her son with a warm smile.

"This is your new baby sister."
Luke reached out as Padmé gently laid Cordé into his arms, "Make sure that you support her neck with your arm when you hold her."
"Ok," Luke replied.

Luke looked down at his new sister with a smile as the baby looked into his eyes.

He reached out and felt her force aura as he turned to his father, "She is very strong with the Force."
"Even stronger than you and Leia," Ben said as he approached them.

"Did you already take her count?" Luke asked.
Luke knew that him and Leia sat at 17,000 midichlorians he looked at Ben with interest, "Where is she at?"
"She sits at 20,000 flat. One more and she would be off of the charts like your father," Ben replied.
"That explains why we started feeling her presence during Mom's pregnancy," Leia commented.
"Yes," Luke replied. Vader looked at his three children before looking at his wife. He turned back to Obi-Wan, "We need to discuss our next move all of us. I need you and Ahsoka to join us."

Vader looked past the two Jedi towards Solo and Chewbacca.

"You two need to join us as well."

Coruscant:

Moff Jade used his hoverchair to approach the round computer counsel in his conference room. He had been convalescing in his residence with a half dozen medical droids for the last month. He had had to have surgery on his leg but was finally able to walk some. He was expecting to be able to move out of convalescence in another two months. His daughter was nearby as an image of Emperor Palpatine and Quarsh Panaka appeared before him. Mara looked at her father as she spoke, "Dad do you want me to get you lunch?"
"Yes," Jade replied.

Mara left the room as the three men conversed. She knew that her father trusted her but more importantly she knew that Palpatine and Panaka trusted her. She left the room and came back and unsuspectedly placed the plate in front of her father and left for her bedroom. Her dad had underestimated her ability to think for herself. She smiled, knowing that not even Palpatine suspected her of anything pernicious.

She focused specifically on what she heard Palpatine saying, "I have no doubt that Senator Amidala is dead but I know that her child is the boy who attacked you."

"It is clear that if Vader knows about the boy that he would hide it from you based on his history," Moff Jade said.

"Send a forensic expert who is not Naboolian. I do not trust the Naboo people to investigate," Panaka said.

"My friend, Isn't it a shame that their regional governor and their Emperor are their own sons yet they have no loyalty to us?" Palpatine asked.

"Yes, your Majesty," Panaka said.

"I have someone who will be there in a few weeks. Then I will expect a report. I would send him now but he is investigating the recent attacks made by the terrorists on Lothal with the ISB and the Grand Inquisitor. I trust him more than anyone else."
"We will exhume her coffin then and we will have to do it at night to avoid notice," Panaka said.

Mara got up and hid the computer under her bed as she slipped on a cloak and put a piece of paper in an envelope. She left her bedroom and slipped out of the Jade suites . Her dad would not notice her absence because he would likely still be conversing with the Emperor. She climbed into an air taxi at the top of the skyscraper as the driver spoke, "Where to kid?"
"I am going to the Megamall."

Mara was soon in the sight of the large mall which was the typical place for a thirteen-year-old to visit.

Millennium Falcon: Five days later:

A holographic projection of Padmé stood in the lobby of the Millennium Falcon. Luke and Leia sat at the dejarik table with Chewbacca at Leia's side and Ben at Luke's side. Han sat on the other side of Chewbacca at the edge of the table as Padmé gave the group their orders.

"When you land the Falcon on Naboo, keep Chewbacca onboard but take R2. You will need to have the ship warm and ready to exit fast if this all goes south."
"Ok," Luke replied as he looked at Leia.

"R2 show them the map of Theed."

R2 immediately projected a massive map of the city that Padmé examined. She pointed to a location within the city as she looked at the group.

"First you will meet Sabé at this location. She knows that you are my children but she is the only one of the Amidalans that knows that truth. None of them including her know that I am still alive. But if she reveals who you are to anyone else that is involved you can trust her judgement."
"Who has been communicating with them to rile them up?" asked Luke.

"They worked some with Saw Gerrera before they became uneasy with his extremism but they made contact with Bail and Ahsoka. We have primarily coordinated their efforts on Naboo since then. Obi-Wan has been the main go between since Bail's passing especially with how busy Ahsoka has been."

"Mom when will you reveal yourself to the Galaxy?" Leia asked.
"Sooner than you may think," Padmé replied. Luke and Leia both believed that their mother should use her name publicly to bring in more rebel recruits. Padmé had refused not only because of the need to protect the twins from discovery but because of the concerns she had about the Emperor knowing about her survival. Luke had supported keeping their existence a secret although now that he was confident that Palpatine knew or at least suspected that they had survived he almost saw no point in hiding Padmé's survival from the public.

"Is there anyone we should avoid?" Han asked.

Padmé frowned as she looked at her faithful soldier, "My parents are not to know under any circumstances that Luke and Leia are alive or they are going to be in danger. Above all else they cannot know about me."
"Very well," Han replied.

At that moment, Padmé saw Obi-Wan entering the room. "Are you going to go with them?"
"I think that might be wise," Obi-Wan replied.
"Very well," Padmé said.

Naboo:

Sabé sat in the room with Gregar Typho sitting to her right and Dormé sitting on her left. She knew that the two fellow resistance leaders were among the most trusted in her rebel militia. She also knew that their loyalty was to their late queen's legacy. That is why she had chosen them for the confidential meeting with the children of Queen Amidala. "After today know that if we have to die to keep what you learn tonight a secret that we must be ready to do that," Sabé said.

At that moment, a hooded man entered the room followed by a young man with a blaster strapped to his hip in corellian blood stripe trousers. Behind him came two shorter hooded figures and a familiar astromech droid. "That is R2!" exclaimed Dormé. The two shorter beings looked at Sabé as she approached them. Sabé smiled as she looked at the dark-haired girl.

"You must be our Queen's daughter. You look just like your mother did at age fourteen."
"That is what I have been told. It is a pleasure to meet you Sabé. My brother and I have been waiting to meet you for a long time."
"I am Luke and this is Leia," Luke said as he unhooded.
"Captain Typho head of your mother's security and Dormé another faithful handmaiden who served your mother," Sabé said as she gestured to the two individuals at the table.

"A pleasure," Leia said as she sat down.

"This is our faithful friend and commanding officer, Han Solo," Luke said as he gestured towards Han. He then sat down between the two twins.

Han eagerly shook hands with the allies of the two twins as he sat down.

"What ranks do you hold?" Sabé questioned

"We both hold the rank of Captain, and Han is a Colonel."

"What is the mission you have here on the planet?" Captain Typho asked.
"You won't like it," Leia replied.

"Just tell us," Dormé said.

"The Emperor suspects that we survived despite our mother's death. If he has access to her coffin, he can easily prove that we are still alive," Luke said.
"Then he will send every inquisitor at his disposal to search for them," Obi-Wan added.

"We need to steal her body but make it look like it was something done perniciously by Imperial fanatics. Our thinking is to vandalize her mausoleum and cover it with Imperial emblems and steal her coffin while we do it. That way no one will know the truth."

"What will you do with her remains?" Asked Dormé.

"We will keep them hidden until we have revealed ourselves to the galaxy," Luke replied.

"There is some valuable intel that we have obtained that you need to know," Dormé said.

"Tell us," Leia replied.

"Queen Kylantha has been eager to become a part of the revolution," Captain Typho said.
"Even though she was not democratically elected but appointed by Palpatine and will lose power unless she faces election?" Leia asked bitterly.

"I don't know if it is our place to judge her. She didn't have a part in creating this nightmare," said Sabé.

"True but she still chose to accept the throne from that monster which says a lot about her in my opinion," Leia retorted.

"You don't know her nor do you know her motivations just as you don't know her motivations now. Besides, imagine if we had gotten another Panaka on that throne. It is bad enough having Panaka as regional governor but at least she has tried to do her best for our people," Sabé said.

"If you say so, she definitely is not my mother," Leia said with a sneer.

"No one is your mother Leia not even you and your Jedi powers do not make you as great or greater than her," Sabé retorted.

Leia glared daggers at Sabé as she opened her mouth to counter the older woman but was stopped by a nudge from her brother.

"I think it is time to focus on what she has for us," said Dormé as she interrupted the bantering between Leia and Sabé.

Dormé held out a holo disk and spoke, "Queen Apailana was not executed by Lord Vader as we previously thought. She was taken prisoner by them and has been held on Onoam in a secret prison there. But word is that she is scheduled to be terminated in a few days.

Obi-Wan frowned as he looked at the holo disk and saw the facility where the young former Queen was being held. He looked at the twins and spoke, "You go with them to vandalize your mom's mausoleum and take her body. I will work up a strategy to get her safely rescued by us tonight. Be ready we are going to get very little sleep."

He looked at Han, "Colonel Solo we have some planning to do."

"Is that you under that hood General Kenobi?" asked Sabé. Obi-Wan smiled at her with an all-knowing smile. "Surely you saw that there is a bounty on my head. I wasn't going to say anything unless I had to but yes, I am the one who is actually leading this mission."
"That makes me feel a lot better," Sabé said.

"We are just as capable. We have just as much experience as our mother did when she was our age," Leia said.

"I did not mean to imply otherwise Padawan Leia Skywalker but you have yet to have the experience of General Kenobi. I have no doubt that in another thirty years you will be as experienced and wise as he is," Sabé said.

"We need to stop the bickering and plan and execute this mission," Obi-Wan said.

Hours later:

No one noticed two tiny figures who visited the Mausoleum of Padme Amidala with four large labor droids as assistants. First, they disabled the security cameras monitoring the tomb. Then they began their vandalism. They painted Imperial emblems throughout the mausoleums both inside and outside. They painted the words:

"Traitor!"

"Enemy of the Empire!"

"Friend of the Jedi Traitors!"

"Corrupt Queen!"

"Corrupt Senator!"

Once the twins had finished vandalizing the mausoleum, they proceeded to steal the coffin.

They used the Force to break the slab of concrete that held her coffin. The twins levitated the coffin out of the concrete vault and handed the coffin off to the droids.

The twins left with the heavy coffin being moved by four maintenance droids that they had brought with them for the job. They prepared to rejoin Ben and Han as Luke considered their work on the tomb. Luke knew that it was likely that the Emperor would recognize that their goal had been to steal her body to make it more difficult for him to find answers. He knew that their move allowed their mother to decide on her own terms when and how she would reveal her survival to the Galaxy.

The twins proceeded out of the mausoleum as Leia considered their work on the tomb. She used the Force to fracture the life size statue of her mother into two pieces before turning to her twin.

"Should we burn it too?"
"That is not a bad idea," Luke said.

Leia smiled at her brother as she turned back towards the tomb with him.
