The next day of school started out even weirder than the day before. Renji and Bakugou had made their way to the school peacefully from their homes until they had been hounded by a swarm of reporters at the gates.

"Hey, you! Can you tell us what it's like to work so closely with All Might?"

"Are you one of All Might students?"

"What's the Symbol of Peace like in person?"

"How is he faring as a teacher? What are you learning?"

Bakugou shoved the reporters away from his petite friend as they walked closer to the building, "Aren't you two those Sludge villain kids?"

The pair tensed at the female reporter's words and Himari tightened her grip on Katsuki's hand as she felt his sweat levels increase, "Walk away," The woman froze at the hatred laced in the boy's voice, watching as he led the white-haired girl into the safety of the school.

Renji sighed in relief as they entered the school and made it to their homeroom before the bell rang out. She collapsed into her seat and groaned against the cool desk.

"Reporters get to you too?" She tilted her head to see Jiro glancing at her worriedly.

She nodded at the other girl, "They're like snakes, trying to sink their fangs into any juicy details. Just deplorable."

"Decent work on yesterday's combat training, you guys," Aizawa muttered as he walked into the room. "I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results. Bakugou, you're talented. So don't sulk like a child about your loss, okay?" Himari turned back and gave her friend a small smile, her spirits lifting higher as he rolled his eyes and nodded.

"Yeah, whatever."

"And, Midoriya," The green-haired boy tensed as their teacher turned his tired gaze to him. "I see the only way you won the match was by messing up your arm again. Work harder. And don't give me the excuse that you don't have control over your quirk. That line's already getting old. You can't keep breaking your body while training here. But your quirk will be very useful if you can get a handle on it. So show a little urgent, okay?"

Midoriya smiled at his teacher's slight praise, "Right!"

"Let's get down to business," Aizawa stated. "Our first task will decide your future." The whole class froze at his serious tone. "You all need to pick a class representative."

The small teenager flinched as the class burst into a cacophony of shouting.

"Pick me, guys! I wanna be class rep!" Kirishima shouted as he jumped from his seat.

Kaminari raised his hand, "I'll take it."

Jiro lifted her hand as well, "Yeah, you're gonna need me."

"Someone with style should-"

"I'm, like, totally the right pick!" Ashido cheered as she cut off Aoyama.

The white-haired girl groaned as the entirety of her classmates screamed over each other, she knew at most schools the class rep was just extra work. But at UA it was a good stepping stone to get noticed by agencies and pro-heroes, but only if you excelled at your job. She looked around the room and narrowed her eyes at the two most likely candidates for the position, Iida and Yaoyorozu. She knew that they were the most level headed in the class besides her, but their people skills were far superior to her own.

To unknowingly prove her point Iida got to his feet, "Silence! Everyone, please! The class representative's duty is to lead others. That's not something just anyone can do. You must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader!"

"Is this really the best idea?" Kaminari wondered.

"We've only known each other for a week, how do we know who we can trust?" Asui asked.

Kirishima shrugged, "Besides, everyone will just vote for themselves."

"Most people will," Renji grunted as she weakly lifted her head from her desk. "But that means whoever receives multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job."

Iida nodded his head in agreement, "It's the best way, right, sir?"

Aizawa shrugged as he crawled into his sleeping bag, "Do what you want, just decide before my nap's over."

"Thank you for your trust!" Iida said as their teacher fell asleep on the floor.

The votes were quickly taken, everyone writing a name on a slip of paper before passing them to the front, where Hagakure tallied up the votes and wrote the people with the most on the board. Renji bit her lip as she noticed Izuku had the most votes at 3 with her and Yaoyorozu tying for second with 2 votes each. She voted for the ponytail wearing girl so she had no idea how she scrambled two votes for herself, but when she noticed Ashido happily waving at her she figured she was one of the votes.

"How did I get three votes?!" Midoriya cried as he noticed the scores on the board.

"Okay, you idiots!" Bakugou yelled as he hopped out of his seat. "Who voted for him?!"

"What? Did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?" The blonde glared at Sero.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!"

"Alright, our class rep is Midoriya," Aizawa claimed as he sat up from the floor. "And the vice rep can be either Renji or Yaoyorozu."

"You should be vice rep, Yaoyorozu," The black-haired girl eyed Himari oddly. "I'm not big on handling minute public issues."

"Okay," Aizawa shrugged. "It's Midoriya and Yaoyorozu then."

The rest of the morning went normal and Renji smiled as the lunch bell rang. She and Ashido sprinted to the cafeteria to find their usual table, claiming the secluded corner with their bags before another group did. The pair collected their food and settled at the table, smiling when Izuku, Iida, and Uraraka joined them.

"This rice is delicious!" Ashido chimed as she nibbled on her bowl of fried rice.

"It's always so crowded in here!" Uraraka noted as she took a seat.

"That's because students in the support, management, and hero courses all share the same cafeteria," Iida explained as he placed his food down.

"Guys, I'm kinda worried," Midoriya mumbled as he picked at his katsudon. "About the whole class rep thing. I don't think I'm qualified."

"Sure you are," Uraraka said.

"You'll be great," Iida grudgingly admitted. "Your courage and quick thinking under stress will help make you a worthy leader. Not to mention the strength you've demonstrated. Those are the reasons I voted for you, at least."

Midoriya gasped, "You were one of the three?"

"Didn't you want to be rep really badly?" Renji asked her studious classmate.

"You do look the part," Uraraka agreed. "You know, 'cause of the glasses."

"Wanting a job and being suited to it are quite different things," Iida pointed out. "Observing the Iida family's hero agency has taught me that much."

"Yeah, but Izuchan caves when he gets put on the spot in most formal issues," Midoriya blushed at his friend's blunt statement as she fiddled with her salad. "Besides he's going to pull something stupid eventually that will break like twenty school rules."

"Himari! How could you say that?!" Midoriya cried. "And what does your family do Iida?"

"Oh, it's nothing," The taller boy tried to brush off his flippant comment.

Uraraka leaned closer to Iida, "You know, I've been wondering something about you. Admit it, Iida. You're filthy rich!"

"Uhh…"

"Well, he did say he went to Somei Private Academy," The pink girl added.

"I was afraid people would treat me differently if they knew about my family," Iida whispered. "You see, the Iidas have been pro-heroes for generations. It runs in our blood."

"What? That's awesome!"

"Are the four of you familiar with the turbo hero: Ingenium?" The others at the table nodded their heads.

"I know all about him!" Midoriya chimed. "He's a super popular hero with 65 sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo agency! Wait, don't tell me..."

"He's my elder brother!" Iida proudly announced. "Ingenium is an unmatched commander who honors the hero code. As the second oldest Iida son, I strive to be just like him!"

"Your family's famous!"

"I can't believe it!"

"Wow!" Izuku breathed. "Now I'm friends with two people from pro-hero families!"

"Wait, who's the other one?" Uraraka questioned.

"Me," Renji stated with her brows raised. "My dad's the electric hero: Blackout."

"Whoa!" Uraraka squirmed in her seat. "Wait. How does that work? You have a water quirk?"

"Got it from my mom," She simply explained. "She used her water quirk to heal as well."

Ashido nodded her head, "Like you did to knock out Bakugou and fix Midoriya's fingers!"

"Yep, but I can see where Iida is coming from. We have extra pressure from our families so it can be hard to assume leadership if we are not fully prepared for it."

"Exactly," Iida exclaimed. "It's simply too early for me to be in a real leadership role." He glanced up at Izuku with a soft smile, "You, for example. You figured out what the judges were looking for in the practical exam. A rep needs that sort of insight."

He paused as the small group of students gazed at him in wonder, "That's the first time I've seen you smile, Tenya! You should do it more."

"What are you talking about? I smile all the time."

Himari snorted, "You smile as much as Katsuki stays calm."

The teenagers at the table burst out laughing at her joking comparison of their classmates. They settled into softer tones of conversation as the lunchtime progressed and Renji offered to clean up the bowls as they finished their meals. She grabbed the food trays and walked to the front of the cafeteria, dropping them off with the lunch staff before she turned to rejoin her friends.

A loud bell ringing through the area paused her steps, "WARNING. Level 3 security breach. All students please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion."

"What's a level 3 security breach?" She wondered out loud as students started to rush by her.

"It means that someone's managed to get past the school's barriers!" A boy replied as he passed her still form. "This hasn't happened in my three years here! We need to get going!"

The older boy tried to grasp her hand but was shocked as he phased right through the limb, water dripping from his fingers as he pulled away. He instead ran off towards the nearest exit of the cafeteria and the female teenager loosened her whole body so she could run through the crowd between her and her friends, ignoring the disgusted looks on people's faces as they ran through her liquified form. She ran back to her table and out the exit she saw Izuku's green hair flash through, pausing and resolidifying at the sight of hundreds of UA students crammed into the hall.

"Get out of the way!"

"Wait, I'm getting trampled!"

"I said, stop pushing me!"

She zeroed in on Midoriya's hair and loosened her body once more to cut through the large mass of people, leaving drenched high schoolers in her wake.

"They're causing a huge panic!" Midoriya groaned out. He glanced up when something cool touched his arm and he noticed Himari's water form standing calmly in front of him as the students around them phased in and out of her body. "Mari!"

She let her hand become solid again and caught Izuku before he was tossed further into the crowd, "We need to get to the window."

"Who in the world could've trespassed onto campus grounds?" Iida asked as the white-haired girl led them to the windows, giving them a bit more breathing space in the vast crowd. He narrowed his eyes as he noticed a small crowd of reporters in the courtyard. "It's the press that was outside! I was afraid it was some kind of attack on the school."

Reji tensed at her friend's words and gazed out the window, wondering how a group of reporters would be able to breach UA defenses by themselves. She squinted her amethyst eyes at a small black form in the distance, trying to get a better look, but was thrown out of focus as a person slammed fully into her solid arm. She cried out as her limb hit the wall and her wrist bent at an odd angle, her whole body becoming solid once more as her concentration got overpowered from pain.

"Renji! Your wrist!" Uraraka exclaimed as she noticed the girl's broken limb.

"Everyone! Stop freaking out!" Kirishima cried from the other side of the hallway.

The other female gasped as Uraraka was ripped away from the wall and dragged into the crowd. She jumped away from the safety of the wall to try to reach her friend, cursing as she was only sent further from the struggling brunette. The white-haired girl sighed in relief as Iida rushed to grab Uraraka back to the wall, but cried in pain as an older student bashed into her injured arm. The petite girl curled in on herself as her body was swept into the crowd, but widened her eyes as a hand snatched the back of her uniform and dragged her from the center of the mass of students. Purple eyes met red in surprise before Iida's form flying above the pair drew her eyes away from Bakugou.

"Listen up! Everything is okay!" Iida shouted over the crowd. "It's just the media outside! There's absolutely nothing to worry about. Everything's fine! We're UA students. We need to remain calm and prove that we're the best of the best."

The crowd settled at his motivating words and the white-haired girl sighed in relief as the jostling died down. She cringed as Katsuki grabbed her broken wrist and gently brought it up to observe it.

"Look, the police are here!"

"Thank goodness."

The hothead frowned at the injured body part, but stayed silent as Himari lifted her other hand and liquified it, running the now glowing appendage over her fracture. He let go of her arm as the bone reset and the pain drained from her face.

"Thanks, Katsuki," She mumbled as she let her quirk fade away. "I was in a real bind back there.

"Not your fault," He grunted. "These guys were just plain dumbasses."

Himari insisted on waiting until Uraraka was able to get Iida down from the ceiling before she allowed Bakugou to drag her from the hall. The two friends walked back to class 1-A together as the hallway emptied, calmly settling into their seats as Yaoyorozu caught Midoriya's jacket and pulled him to the front.

"Okay, class rep. It's time to begin."

The green-haired boy fidgeted under her stoic gaze, "R-Right, we need to decide who the other class officers will be. But first, there's something that I wanna say. I've thought a lot about this. And I think that Iida Tenya should be our class rep! He was able to capture everyone's attention and get us in line. So I believe that he should be the one leading our class from now on!"

"Yeah, you know what?" Kirishima chimed. "If Midoriya vouches for him, I'm good. Plus he was a big help."

"He restored order quite well," Renji added, giving her surprised friend a quick smile. "Seems like he's ready to me."

"He totally took charge, right?"

"Yep! Oh, did you notice he looked like the dude on the emergency exits signs when he was on the wall earlier?" Kaminari asked.

"This is a waste of time," The class tensed as Mr. Aizawa appeared from behind the teacher's desk tucked into his sleeping bag, seemingly awake from another nap. "I don't care who the rep is, just hurry up."

He rolled back over while Iida got to his feet, "If Midoriya is nominating me for this job...then I humbly accept! I pledge to carry out the duties of class rep to the best of my abilities."

"Sounds good, Emergency Exit!" Kirishima called.

Kaminari smirked, "Emergency Exit Iida! Don't let us down man!"
