Todoroki's match against Sero was anti-climatic as the dual-toned boy easily incapacitated the tape user with his giant ice wall, ending the match before it even truly began. Himari, however, was more interested in the next fight between Kaminari and his cousin, Murasakino. The girl from class 1-B definitely had the same amount of confidence Himari's flirty friend had, but she carried it differently. The water user also noticed how she rushed to check on Shinsou after his fight when she herself was checking on Izuku, congratulating him for his amazing fight as the purple-haired boy tried to fight off his blush.

"Sorry for that long wait. The insane amount of ice from the second match has finally been cleared, though, so it's time to welcome new competitors!" Renji shuffled back into her spot next to Bakugou as Kaminari and Murasakino approached the battlefield. "And what a match this will be, putting a new definition on a family feud! The violet-haired beauty who will shock your heart, Murasakino Nozomi from class 1-B, will face off against class 1-A's electric personality, her own cousin, Kaminari Denki! Keep those eyes peeled! I wanna see a super flashy battle this time!"

Kirishima glanced between the two opponents, "Wow, Kaminari's fighting his cousin. How crazy is that?"

"Should be an interesting fight," Sero observed as he watched the two size each other up.

"Ready, challengers?" Midnight called, smirking when both nodded towards her. "Then begin!"

"Hey Omi, you ready to lose?" Kaminari taunted. "Cause this is all gonna over in two seconds, I promise."

"Oh, it's going to be over in two seconds for sure, Denki," Murasakino assured as she crouched her body lower to the ground.

Electricity crackled around Kaminari as he smirked at his cousin, preparing the ultimate attack that he'd been expanding upon the past few weeks. Hiamri knew he could expel more electricity now, but he still went kinda stupid after using too many volts on his body.

"Indiscriminate shock. One point three million volts!"

The entire arena's lights flickered as he slammed his hands into the ground, sending the currents towards the purple-haired girl. Murasakino took a deep breath and pointed both of her hands towards the electricity rushing her way, allowing it to enter her body as she pushed her arms down towards her stomach before she aimed them out towards the top of the arena, the charged energy following her arms' movements as it erupted out of the top of the stadium towards the sky. The crowd screamed in shock as the lightning shot out of her, but cheered for the girl, who stood unharmed amidst the carnage her cousin left with his attack.

"What did she just do?!" Hagakure cried. "She doesn't even have a scratch!"

"She must have redirected the electrical flow," Iida surmised as he watched in amazement.

"She used her body as a lightning rod," Izuku muttered. "But she made sure she didn't send the currents through her heart and lungs, instead aiming them down towards her gut. Did it still do internal damage to her, or did it fully flow out due to her completing a trail for it to follow-"

"SHUT THE HELL UP DEKU!"

Mari slapped Bakugou as she narrowed her eyes in on the smoke fading from the field, revealing Kaminari standing there shocked stupid while his cousin was completely unharmed.

"Uh, What?"

The girl moved her left arm in a circular shape and purple lightning sprung from her hand, forming into a rope-like shape as she sent it towards her opponent, "Sorry, but I've learned a few new tricks since the last time we brawled."

Denki screeched as her electrified tool wrapped around his waist and tossed him out of the field and into the wall, effectively winning the match for her.

"He's out of bounds!" Present Mic yelled. "That's all, folks. It was over in an instant!"

"The winner is Murasakino!" Midnight declared. "She advances on!"

"Oh, yeah! Way to represent class 1-B!" Tetsutetsu cheered from the 1-B stands as the purple-haired girl bounced around the field in happiness.

Jiro watched in shock as Kaminari was carried out of the arena, "Man, she's good. I never knew Kaminari would be related to someone like that."

"I guess he was right," Mari turned her head at the annoying voice she heard during the cavalry battle. "That match really was over in just two seconds! I wonder if his real quirk is the ability to tell the future. Wasn't class 1-A supposed to be so much better than us?"

The ginger from earlier, Kendo, quickly walked over and smacked Monoma across the back of his head, knocking him off the wall separating the two classes and to the ground, "Sorry about him."

"Are you going to behave?" Himari asked towards Bakugou.

The boy scoffed, "Why the hell are you asking me that? What are you, my mom?"

"I have to go prep in the waiting room," She explained. "My match is after Iida's and Hatsume's. I don't want you strangling people again."

"I'll be fine," He hissed. "Get your ass out of my sight."

She gave Katsuki a small smile, "Alright, wish me luck."

Ruby eyes bore into Renji's back as she wandered off, the girl missing her friend's whisper, "You won't need it, Mari."

The water user reached the waiting room assigned to her and quietly slipped into the private space, clearing her mind for the first fight she'll face. Going against Aoyama gave her an advantage, especially since he had already spewed out his weakness to the entire class weeks ago. She just had to avoid him long enough to wear him out and then knock him from the boundaries. She rolled her neck and glanced at the small TV in the corner of the room, giggling slightly as she watched Hastume turn her fight against Iida into an advertisement for her gadgets.

A light tap on the door drew her ear, "Your fight will be in a few minutes if you would kindly follow me to the entrance gate."

Himari smiled at the volunteer and followed her as they made their way through the halls. She narrowed her eyes slightly when she caught sight of Endeavor cornering Todoroki in one of the smaller hallways. She quickly tapped the shoulder of the volunteer, "I'm sorry, could you wait a little bit?"

The woman looked at her confused, but allowed her a quick moment. She quickly shuffled down the hall the father-son pair were down and bounced on her feet so her classmate could see her over his father's shoulder, "Hey, Todoroki!"

"Renji?" The boy furrowed his brow at his petite classmate, tensing as his father turned to face the girl with annoyance on his face.

"Your fight against Sero was amazing!" The girl gushed as she completely ignored the blazing hero standing between her and her classmate. "But I'm sure Midoriya will give you a run for your money."

The dual-haired boy squared his shoulders, "I'll win against him. I know I will."

"Maybe," She admitted. "But then you have to face Katsuki. And I know if you don't give it your all, you will lose against him."

"But you might win in your fight against him-"

"Who are you and why are you interrupting my conversation with your foolish dribble, little girl?" Endeavor snapped at the white-haired teenager.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't see you there," She said in a sickeningly innocent tone. "I'm Renji Himari. I'm in class 1-A with Todoroki, just giving him some advice. Who are you?"

The fire hero glared at the young student, "I'm his father, the number 2 hero, Endeavor."

"You didn't sound like his father when I walked up," She bluntly pointed out. "My dad would be wishing me luck, not bullying me and insulting the way I use my own quirk."

"Why you-"

"Good luck, Todoroki," She cut off the pro-hero. "I have to go smash Aoyama into the dirt!"

Renji spun on her heel and sprinted back to the waiting volunteer, ignoring the increase of heat she felt on her back. The woman rushed her to the appropriate entrance just in the nick of time and motioned for the teenager to make her way into the stadium. Himari smiled as she calmly walked into the arena and glanced at the giant crowd watching her and Aoyama make their way towards the field.

Present Mic's voice cut over the screams of the observers, "Let's hope that gaudy belt serves some kinda purpose. It's Aoyama Yuga from the hero course's class 1-A!"

"Bonjour!"

"Versus...The petite powerhouse from the same class, Renji Himari!"

The purple-eyed girl beamed and waved as the crowd's cheering increased at the sound of her name, adding an extra wave towards where class 1-A was sitting for her friends.

"Now, let's get started!"

"Fifth match...Begin!"

Aoyama smirked at the small girl as she stood completely still, "Naval laser, activate!"

The bright attack shot directly towards the small girl and the crowd gasped as it seemed to make contact with the girl. Mari giggled at the light shooting through her completely liquified body, the laser starting to slowly refract against the angles of the water. The boy increased his attacks towards her water body as she calmly moved out of the way of his attacks, keeping the laser out of her elemental form to keep the refractions from hitting any of the bystanders in the crowd.

"One disadvantage for you, Aoyama," She called out as she continued to dodge his attacks, flowing swiftly around the battlefield. "You told all of us in class your issue with your quirk on the bus to the USJ."

"But, mademoiselle," The boy called as he shifted slightly to change his attack. "I know your weakness as well."

"Sure, but there's a big difference," The water user explained as she resolidified and jumped over a large laser attack. "My weakness is a hard one to reach, but yours, however..."

She continued to switch between her forms, making Aoyama's lasers completely ineffective to the girl's defensive skills. He started to shake as his stomach lurched and he stalled his attacks. Himari rushed towards him and whipped out her arms, launching a large wave of water towards him. The crowd went nuts as it surrounded him and slammed the teenager into the ground, knocking him into unconsciousness.

"Aoyama has fainted!" Midnight announces. "The winner of the match is Renji!"

Cameras flashed as the white-haired winner stood over her fallen challenger, waving glowing hands over his body to heal any injuries she might have caused him, "Dang, Aoyama went down hard! And Renji's even using her healing skills on her opponent, what great sportsmanship! That's an indisputable victory if I've ever seen one, sports fans!"

Mari helped her classmate onto the medical stretcher and walked with him off the field, waving off the crowd as she met up with Recovery Girl. The nurse thanked the girl for her healing but waved her off once they reached the nurse's room. She walked off from the room and noticed Tokoyami claiming victory in his fight against Yaoyorozu on one of the overhead screens, making him her next opponent for the next bracket. She sighed and mentally counted the matches coming up before she made a sharp turn and wandered down the hall for the waiting rooms. She walked past the waiting room one when she noticed Iida peaking in and continued to the second door in the hall.

A gruff voice growled out from the room as she cracked the door open, but Himari still offered Bakugou a soft smile, "Waiting for your match?"

"No, I'm waiting for dinner," He sarcastically replied. "What do you think, Mari?"

The girl quirked her brow, "Well, I was going to wish you luck, but I guess I'll go back to my seat…"

"Wait," The teen called out. "Sorry for being a jackass. You can stay."

Himari beamed at her friend and moved swiftly into the room, taking a seat next to his tense form, "It's okay to be nervous. Perfectly normal, even. But I know you are going to win."

"I know Deku's probably telling her everything about my quirk to give her a fighting chance," He grumbled. "Not that it's going to work."

"Probably not," The girl agreed. "Especially because Uraraka will bank on a giant attack, taking you out in one blow if she can. Her motion sickness gets too bad for her to function if she uses her quirk too much. Guess her body's not fully used to zero gravity yet."

"Huh," Katsuki breathed. "How weak. She can't fully work with her quirk?"

Himari shrugged her shoulders, "I seem to remember what happens to a certain someone's arms if they don't have something to absorb their own recoil after a while...that sounds like an easy to exploit weakness. Shame Izuchan hasn't figured that out yet, should I go inform him?"

Bakugou snarled and latched his arms around her waist as she tried to get out of her seat, "You're not going anywhere, dumbass."

Red covered her face as she turned away from her childhood friend, trying to ignore his heated glare as she struggled in his arms, "I'm just joking Katsu. You know that."

"Not in the mood for jokes right now, Mari."

"I get it," She whispered. "Sorry."

"Stop apologizing so damn much," He reluctantly released the petite girl from his arms. "And you have your fight to worry about. Aren't you going against the bird-brain next?"

"His name is Tokoyami," Himari corrected. "And I think I have a way to beat him and Dark Shadow."

Bakugou absently nodded his head, "Then get out of here and go watch me win. You know the hag will want a play-by-play even if she's watching at home."

"Don't call your mother a hag, Katsuki," He grunted at her chiding. "But yes, I will happily tell her about your win."

The white-haired teen rose from her seat and left the room, catching sight of Iida and Izuku making their way out of Uraraka's room. The two boys froze when they noticed her in the hallway, but she beamed at them and ran to their sides as they made their way back to class 1-A's seating area. The trio made it back to their seats just in time to see Bakugou and Uraraka appear out of the separate gates and they settled in for the match ahead.

Present Mic's voice sounded out as the teenagers shifted in their seats, "The eighth and final battle in the first round of matches. He was kind of a hotshot in middle school. And just look at that determined face! From the hero course, Bakugou Katsuki!" Himari giggled under her breath at the boy's serious-looking face. "Versus, the one I'm personally rooting for, also from class 1-A, Uraraka Ochaco!"

"You're the one who screws around with gravity," Bakugou called out to the brunette. "Right, Pink Cheeks?"

"Pink Cheeks?" Uraraka quirked her brow.

"Well if you're gonna give up, do it now," The explosion user arrogantly hissed. "Cause I'm not gonna hold anything back."

"Midoriya," Renji turned her head away from the competitors at Iida's voice. "I'm curious. What was the strategy you came up with that would give Uraraka and advantage against Bakugou? I heard you both whispering about it when I came to check on her."

The green-haired boy glanced at the notebook in his hand, "Honestly, it wasn't really much of a plan. Kacchan's so strong. When it comes to close combat, he almost never has any openings. And the more he moves, the more he sweats, which just makes his quirk more powerful. He's gotten really good at using his explosions to move around in the air. But if Uraraka is able to touch him, she can use her quirk to make him float. She could send him out of bounds," He looked down at the arena, "That's why, it's obvious what Uraraka needs to do to get the upper hand."

"LET THE EIGHTH MATCH BEGIN!"

"Strike first," Himari mumbled, surprising both of the boys at her observation.

Uraraka shot off at Present Mic's announcement, making her way towards her opponent, "Giving up isn't an option for me!"

"Wow, look at her go!" Midoriya cheered. "That's a good start, and all she has to do is touch him one time!"

"It won't be easy, Izuku. Nothing's easy with Katsuki, you know that," Purple eyes narrowed in on the girl's movements, she was moving fast but the brunette had failed to notice Bakugou's stance.

He was expecting her to attack first.

"And now you die!"

Bakugou pulled back his right arm, setting up his classic right hook. Mari smirked slightly as she noticed his left-hand spark as Uraraka ran closer to him. A loud explosion rocked the stadium as both of his hands lit up towards the girl, covering her with heat and smoke.

"Uraraka!"

"He blasted her!"

"Ugh, looks like Bakugou's not planning on showing any mercy."

"And he shouldn't," Class 1-A stared down their resident water user in confusion. "Uraraka's not going easy on him. So why should he disrespect her by babying her?"

"You shoulda dropped outta the match," Katsuki called out to the girl as the smoke started to clear. "There's no way you can beat me!" He launched towards a flash of blue in the smoke, adding a range of explosives into his hit.

He gasped when he noticed the blue shirt underneath his hand, growling at the ploy the brunette had used on him.

"Whoa!" Present Mic screamed. "She flew her jacket over as a decoy! What incredibly quick thinking!"

Uraraka jumped towards Bakugou's exposed back, aiming her hands towards him. But before she could land a finger on him he unleashed a wave of explosions in her direction, sending debris flying along with his classmate. The crowd screamed as the girl rolled across the arena, catching herself before she fell over the line.

"Look at that reaction time!" Sero exclaimed.

Kaminari squirmed, "Seriously, this dude's insane! You can't get a drop on him."

The tape user gulped, "And since Uraraka can't use her quirk unless she touches him, his lightning-fast reflexes put her at a huge disadvantage!"

Uraraka tried to run at him again, but he simply sent another rain of debris towards her accompanied by his giant barrage of nitroglycerin explosions. Mari twitched as the brunette recovered quickly and raced towards Katsuki's back again, yelling in defiance.

"I've got you now!"

Another explosion rocked the arena and the class cringed.

"Is she okay?"

"I can't watch this!"

"Like I always suspected...Bakugou's a total sadist."

Hiamri leaned over and smacked Mineta over his head, "Shut the hell up, pervert."

Uraraka continued her attempts in reaching Bakugou, but they failed each time. The arena quickly became disfigured due to his violent attacks and he smirked at the exhausted look on the brunette's face. The water user glanced between the fighting pair before her eyes lightly trailed up and her face became grim. She gave credit where it was due, Uraraka was a genius.

"Looks like she's not resting between attacks despite being exploded. The poor girl." Present Mic sadly announced.

The crowd focused only on the pair going at one another, making the fight seem to be completely in Katsuki's favor. But Himari noticed a few others catching onto what the girl was planning, and she hoped the ash-blonde picked up on it as well.

"Hey, shouldn't one of the teachers step in?" A hero watching from the crowd called out.

"Yeah, this is too rough."

"This is shameful! Listen, kid, you really wanna be a hero? Then stop acting like a bully. If you're so good, just send her out of bounds."

"Stop toying with the girl and end this match!"

"Yeah, you heard the guy!"

Himari bit her lip as she watched the crowd start to turn on her friend, not even noticing the hard work he and Uraraka were putting into this fight.

"The crowd is now booing Bakugou!" Present Mic called out over the loud noises of anger and disappointment. "And honestly I kinda agree with what they're saying-Hey, whoa! What the crap?!"

"Where is the man who started this uproar?" Aizawa suddenly sounded over the loudspeakers. "Are you a pro? Because if you're being serious, you can go home and hang up your cape. I'd suggest looking into another career."

"You know what's king about?" Midoriya asked.

"Yes.." Renji hissed as she glared across the stadium at the pompous man.

"Bakugou's fierceness is an acknowledgment of his opponent's strength," The class 1-A teacher announced. "He knows she deserves to have made it this far, so he's making sure he does whatever it takes to keep her at bay and come out on top."

"I think it's about time," Uraraka called out, startling Bakugou. "Thank you, Bakugou...for keeping your eyes focused on me!"

"What?"

She touched her hands together and a loud rumbling came from above. The crowd gasped in shock as a hail storm of chunks of concrete came raining down to the arena below.

"A meteor shower?!"

"Now you notice?" Aizawa groaned.

"Hey, she had a plan all along!" Izuku cried happily.

Mari nodded in agreement as she watched Bakugou calmly aim his left arm towards the falling rocks as he braced his wrist with his other arm, lowering his body closer to the ground as he aimed for the center of the crashing debris. Unnoticed by Uraraka, who continued to race towards the stationary blonde.

"So does Katsuki."

A soundwave echoed as his palm exploded, the heat so strong it melted the falling rocks in midair, reducing Uraraka's giant attack to dust. Himari jumped from her seat and cheered for her friend as the crowd screamed in shock around her. The brunette in the arena groaned in pain as she sat up from where the shockwave sent her flying, glancing towards the giant mass of smoke.

"I figured you'd have some sorta stupid plan to beat me. You are friends with that damn nerd, after all," Bakugou stated as the smoke faded.

"Bakugou bangs out a huge demonstration of power!" Present Mic yelled out. "He blasted apart Uraraka's finishing move and remains untouched!"

Purple eyes caught the twitching stemming from Katsuki's left wrist and she knew her teacher's observation was off. But she applauded her friend for being smart enough to use his non-dominant hand. Bakugou smiled as Uraraka slowly got back to her feet.

"Alright, then. Time for us to get serious. Uraraka!"

He started running towards the girl and she turned to face him, but suddenly collapsed to the ground, surprising Bakugou as he skidded to a stop.

"Uraraka is down!" The voice hero screamed.

The girl struggled to get back to her feet, but her body refused to comply.

"It's too much," Iida whispered.

Midoriya nodded, "Yeah, she's way past her limit."

Midnight gently approached the girl, signaling for Katsuki to stand down, "Uraraka is KO'd," The hero announced to the crowd. "Bakugou advances to the second round!"

The crowd went crazy at the end of the match but Himari ignored the cacophony of noises as she raced from the seating area, pushing past her classmates as they stared at her oddly. Midoriya followed close behind her and the pair froze when they passed a stairwell with a familiar blonde climbing up the steps.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Bakugou snapped when he caught sight of Midoriya.

"Oh, well," He stuttered. "I'm up next, so, you know. I was gonna hang in the waiting room. Um, also congrats on winning your match. See you around."

The green-haired boy tried to slip past his white-haired companion, but Mari snagged his shirt before he could run away, "It was your idea, wasn't it? That stupid, desperate plan of hers. You would come up with something that annoying. If we end up-"

"You're wrong," Midoriya stated as he gently pulled away from Himari's quiet grip. "That plan. Uraraka came up with it all on her own, I didn't know anything about it. If that battle was harder than you thought it would be, then it's because of her strategy, not mine."

"Go get ready for your fight, Izuku," Their childhood friend gently suggested. "I got him." The teen gave Himari a soft smile before he turned and made his way towards the waiting rooms. The girl waited until he had walked around the corner to turn back to face Bakugou, "Give me your wrist."

"What are you talking about?" The ash-blonde grumbled.

"Your left wrist," She specified. "You held it during the fight with your other hand, but your Howitzer Impact was too powerful without proper bracers. I know a broken bone when I see one."

The red-eyed teen growled but pushed his wrist towards her, cringing a little when she softly encased it with her palms. He sighed in relief as her grip shined blue and his bones fused back together, the small hairline fractures receding with her quirk's energy.

"Thanks, I guess," He spat out when she pulled her hands away.

"I think you did fantastic," She whispered. "You fought her with honor and respect, and your win was a wonderful one to watch. You've really come a long way with your quirk."

"I'm glad someone sees that I wasn't being an ass," He huffed. "Just fighting like I would with anyone in the ring. Those heroes were just being sexist."

"You better not go easy on me then," She jested. "Just because I'm a girl."

"Why the hell would I?" He asked. "You would wreck my ass if I played easy."

"I think that's debatable, Katsuki."

He shook his head, "Nah, you're stronger than you look, dumbass."

"Thanks," She beamed. "Let's go watch Izuku fight against Todoroki, bet it will be fun."

Bakugou smirked as he pulled her hand into his as they walked back to the stands, "Icy-hot is going to smear Deku into the dirt."
