Hi guys it's the NO1 Master here with a new story. As a fair warning this story does contain suggestive themes and moderate violence and as well as that there will be some language. Originally I wrote a couple of chapter but in the end I decided to rewrite this since the story seemed slightly rushed and I didn't want that to occur. So I have now posted the updated version for you all to read.
Special thanks to Lightning 99 for allowing me to write a similar story and also to Althea Sirius for helping me write this story. If you don't like this then...Please Burn my Soul In The Comments.

OK now that's done enjoy the rest of the story.
Blue skies, Swellows gliding gracefully in the air. Rays of golden light dispersed evenly through the clouds signalling the emergence of dawn.
A 17 year old boy with dark, messy hair and a short, chubby yellow rodent Pokémon peered through lexan polycarbonate glass. They were both seated in the First-Class area, the category of luxury seating on the Dragonair 365 that had more space, comfort, and service than other areas, with amenities that ranged from private suites to access to on-board showers.
The boy was wearing a Vans t-shirt and blue ripped jeans with Nike sneakers following the two, placed upon his head was his signature red cap. He was given this comfort by the Kalos champion herself, although at many times he attempted to decline the prestigious prize. Eventually he gave in due to the constant insistence of Diantha. He looked down at his partner resting on his lap, his face full of ketchup. Then with a contented sigh, the seventeen year old embraced sleep.
However within a couple of hours, the boy opened his weary eyelids to the sight of a flight attendant walking towards him with a notebook.
She had long brown hair but was far from lethargic compared to the sleepy passengers around him. Looking at the tired boy she asked, "Hello sir, what would you like to eat and drink?"
"Maybe some coffee and a cheeseburger." He replied drowsily.
The attendant looked back at her notebook, quickly scribbling down the preference before asking, "What would your Pikachu want?"
Pikachu beckoned forward as the attendant tickled his back, giggling uncontrollably.
His trainer smiled at his partner, "Well for all your hard work with the Kalos crisis I guess I can only order one thing." Turning back to the woman he asked, " I don't suppose you have any more Ketchup sachets."
The flight attendant seemed confused but wrote it down anyway.
"Sir if I may would you mind telling me your name so that we can authorise registration?"
The boy smiled back at the woman, "It's Ash, Ash Ketchum."
The flight was 30 minutes to landing which was further confirmed by the loud blaring speech by the captain. Pikachu as normal was sleeping peacefully whilst Ash plugged in some airpods and laid his head down reminiscing over his journey in Kalos.
The trio that travelled with him were fun and definitely entertaining, going through all sorts of weird adventures and experiences.
He had always remembered Bonnie as excitable and hyperactive, constantly asking girls to marry her brother. On the other hand, Clemont and him had a more mature brotherly relationship, constantly learning from each other; 1 thought that he had always remembered when thinking of Clemont was the awesome experiments he used to conduct when making new machines. But as always they would explode into a ball of smoke. Ash chuckled when recalling the familiar memory.
Then there was Serena.
The blonde girl was absolutely stunning. Honey-blonde hair wrapped around her shoulders and two sapphire eyes glimmering with life. Her personality reflected her looks as well, being was always kind, compassionate and hard-working. Her performances were things of beauty and charisma. Briefly remembering his state of depression in Snowbelle city, he only pulled out of it thanks to her. Then there was the kiss.
Memories of Serena walking down the escalator before running back up to deliver a peck on the lips. By far the most blissful feeling, he had finally recognized her feelings for him. Although he had to admit when he was a 10 or an 11 year old kid he was pretty oblivious. But now he was more mature and wasn't as dense as everyone else thought was.
Ash quickly snapped out of his dreams when the Captain announced the landing with a loud, cheery voice.
Pikachu had woken up and was now looking at his trainer in confusion. Ash ruffled Pikachu's furry body and told his partner, "Don't worry buddy, we're almost there."
Meanwhile
Gary Oak was stirred from his sleep by the loud buzzing of his phone.
'Shit.' he thought to himself as he pulled himself out of his bed and grasped his phone to turn the alarm off. It was half 6 in the morning.
He glanced back at the naked girl sleeping soundly underneath his covers and smiled to himself before whispering in the redhead's ear, "Hey babe, I need to catch up with an old friend, so I'll see ya later."
He gave her a kiss before walking to the en-suite to get ready for the day.
"Hello, this is your captain speaking. Please fasten your seat belts and remain in your seats, we seem to be experiencing a little turbulence while landing." The calm voice spoke fluorescently through the microphone easing passenger hearts.
Pikachu clutched onto Ash tightly as his trainer chuckled lightly, patting his head and muttered soothing words into his yellow-rodent's ear. Pikachu seemed calmed and smoothened out on his partner's lap as the plane shuddered with gusts poking hands at it, almost toying around.
However despite the turbulence, the plane landed safely on the concrete runway and came to a stand-still signalling the arrival to Kanto's Pewter City International Airport.
Departing was relatively easy thanks to the extra features his ticket provided. Whilst searching for luggage, Ash's phone started to ring furiously in his jean pocket. Sighing he took it out to see the name of the caller ID; Gary... That was unusual, last time they had met the two of them were in Sinnoh.
He answered the call and heard the seemingly panicked voice of his former rival, "Ash stay right where you are, I'm coming to pick you up... Darn the stupid traffic."
"Be careful to make sure you don't speed. I mean if you end up in an accident no girl would ever want to date ya." Gary growled slightly at the jest Ash made.
"Shut up. I need to concentrate otherwise your joke may end up becoming a reality!"
The words Gary spat out were almost coated with venom and Ash laughed nervously trying to change the topic, "Uh. Where are you at currently?"
Gary's tone relaxed, "Right now I'm close to Route-2."
A wave of relief passed through the aspiring master, "Great you should be around 15 minutes away?"
The brunette then replied, "That's the plan if THIS STUPID TRUCK WOULD GET OUT MY FU..."
Ash abruptly ended the call and patted Pikachu, "I think Gary's had a lesson on profanity. Don't you think buddy?"
His partner giggled loudly as the two strolled past conveyor belts carrying heaps of bags until he found his two own being transported through the leathered circuit.
Now there was only one task left.
Find Gary.
The 18 year old brunette was struggling to find a parking spot. Despite navigating his way through the endless queues of cars, the bustling airport was packed with tight spaces and Gary's BMW M8 clearly couldn't squeeze into such tight spaces.
It was then the opportunity shone, a grey car reversed out of a narrow spot. Noticing this before anyone else, Gary veered his car to the left and took the present with both hands.
Just.
Breathing in relief he grabbed his keys and clambered out of the coupe's door.
Waiting seemed tedious yet the work committed was next to zero. Pikachu nuzzled his trainers hand to pass of time but the act didn't work.
It was then when a tuft of brown hair faintly emerged from a pathway; waving arms frantically at the black-haired boy.
The yellow rodent was the first to recognise the person who had emerged with Attici sunglasses and a tracker jacket wrapped around his shoulders. However a few seconds passed before his trainer could perceive the person's features before sprinting off with heavy bags to greet him.
"Gare-bear!"
"Ashy-boy, long time no see."
The two former rivals shook hands and Pikachu nuzzled his friend's hand as a sign of greeting in which Gary returned the offering by stroking the yellow-mouse's silky, golden fur; the response was a satisfied coo.
Walking to the carpark was a fairly casual with the odd exchange of questions asked every couple of minutes.
"Anything major happen lately." Asked the brunette.
One question he could brag about, so a smirk formed on his face, "Nothing much. Just a tenure of consistent saving the world theme and a... 2nd place finish in the Kalos League." Gary rolled his stormy grey eyes at the sarcastic comment.
"What's up with you, I pretty much thought that you were still in Professor Rowans laboratory?" It was inquisitive question that Gary could give a simple answer to.
After a brief silence the brunette spoke, "I finished studying there and Professor Rowan requested the Mega-evolution expert Professor Sycamore to train me up a bit more before I actually take my exams."
Ash nodded in partial-awe, "Wow! It seems almost like you're entire life is planned in front of you."
Gary smiled tensely, something that Ash noticed, "What's with the sad face."
The Professor-in-training bit his lip, "It's Gramps. He's acting a bit weirdly lately. But it's nothing for you to worry about."
Ash smiled and put a hand to his friend's shoulder. "If you have any doubts please feel free to share them with me."
Gary grinned back and asked, "So when you were in Kalos did you get anything good."
Ash seemed confused so his former rival reiterated his words, "I mean. Haven't you heard the phrase, 'Kalos is the region of love'? Surely you met a least 1 hot girl?"
He swallowed the question and took it in, "Sort of..."
Smiling like a Cheshire cat, the brunette poked his friend, "So tell me what's she like?"
Ash's smile wavered slightly, "She's really nice, supportive and she's really helped me a lot. Oh and also she's pretty attractive."
Gary was thirsty for more answers, "So did you confess?"
Ash's face turned red, "WHAT! Fu** no! Well if you're really curious it's kinda the opposite way round."
Pikachu was fairly shocked by Ash's outburst and Gary... well Gary was just incredibly nosy.
"So... something did happen." The brunette was almost teasing his old-friend.
Ash then point-blanc shot the gun, "She kissed me."
For some reason Gary didn't seem that surprised, "So you just kissed and didn't even sleep with her?"
"GARY!" The yell Ash made startled the pedestrians who looked confused at the shouting.
To save the two from further embarrassment, the professor in training's car was situated just a few steps away.
"Nice car." Ash said admiring the looks of the 2020 coupe whilst placing his bags in the rear boot.
Both of them clambered inside with Pikachu resting on Ash's lap. The M8 was powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8, which had over 600 horsepower.
The two had a genial chat about their current lives; Ash talked about the Kalos crisis and the many adventures he experienced.
On the other hand, Gary's life was less play and more work as he explained how assignments would often at times pile upon him and how his relationship with his new girlfriend was steady.
Eventually within 20 minutes of traffic lessening, they passed several roads and came across a small lane.
There it was, Pallet Town.
Ash could hear the subtle cries of baby Pidgeys being comforted by the adult Pidgeot's.
Forests and trees were in abundance as they littered every corner of the quaint town. Butterfree's floated gracefully in the air as they approached small lakes filled with orange Magikarps.
Ash's mind was crystal-clear, he felt so much at ease in his home-town. 7 years of travelling and the journey back home almost felt like an Ayurveda exercise.
Pikachu was enjoying the scenery too by sticking out his head and shouting, "PIKA!" as a greeting to every Pokemon he saw.
Magical spaces were all around him but the one Ash was most interested in was a dormer-bungalow with a red roof situated in the brow of rollicking fields.
There it was.. his home.
He instantly told Gary to stop the car and along with Pikachu the two of them sprinted to his house.
Using his fists he knocked on the door gently three times burning in anticipation.
The door opened to Delia Ketchum who stood there wide-eyed and immediately gave her son a raucous hug.
"Ash, how are you?" She asked, her eyes gleaming with motherly love, "And how is Pikachu?"
Pikachu clearly enjoyed the attention his trainer's mom gave him, "Pika..."
Ash looked on at his mother with a just satisfaction, "We're both great. Gary dropped us off here which I thought was particularly odd but I didn't really mind since I was rather commited to reach here to meet you and my Pokemon." Pikachu nodded in agreement to his trainer's words.
Delia shook her head, " No dear, I think you misinterpreted me. I rather know more about your journey in Kalos, since the evident point of a trainer is to understand more about Pokemon and the revelations they conceal within themselves; and with that comes deepening of bonds and finally partnerships."
His auburn eyes glistened with amazement and he stared at his mom in inquisitiveness, "Woah. Inspiring speech mom. Since when did you know so much about being a Pokemon trainer?"
Delia looked at her son with a mischevious glint in her eyes and replied to the suspenseful question with an almost dull answer, "Dear, that's a story for another time. For now tell me about your journey."
Ash conjured up every single detail with precision from his account starting with the gym battle with Viola to the epic climax of Team Flare's villainous plans. At times, Delia looked uncertain at the recollection of dangerous intakes such as the precarious jump from Prism Tower. Ash specifically attempted to leave the subject of Serena out but his mom noted this with a smile.
"So Ash, have you heard that Kalos is a region of love?" Ash froze at the mention of the subject, exactly what Delia was anticipating.
"Y...Es?" Ash's answer came out as more of a cowering whisper.
Desperate to change the subject, the trainer avoided his mom's gaze and came up with the first thing that came up in his head, "Hey Mom would you mind if I go and see my Pokemon now? I haven't seen them in so long..."
The change in subject worked as Delia smiled back at her son giving a prompt repsonse, "Sure you can."
She sat by the entrance to the door watching her teenage son sprint off into the pitch of early sunset, "Ash! Don't be too late. Make sure to come back in about half an hour!" Delia shouted and her son's response was slightly muffled but in her heart Delia knew that he had heard her yelling.
As she closed the door hinge, Delia mumbled to herself, "Young love."
He almost knew the route by memory to his Profesor's residence of research; it was just so familiar. Winding down from a duaty path, Ash wiped the sweat of his brow and motioned to Pikachu, who was lagging behind after the stuffed meal of ketchup, then he proceeded to take a left turn to come into view of the simplistic Labaratory that somehow had a sense of immense pride.
Professor Oak's laboratory was a Pokemon lab located in the heart of Pallet Town that was directed by Professor Samuel Oak. It was a large building with a windmill situated on top signifying how it used sustainable energy to power it's generators. The functions it served were to research Pokémon, unravel the mysteries surrounding them, and to study their characteristics and behavior in a natural environment. Another important job was to take care of the Pokémon that belong to Pallet Town's trainers.
The lab had many different environments for the correct development of all kinds of Pokémon. There were areas of grass, sand, rocks, and lakes to promote good interaction between the different types of Pokémon. The laboratory also had the technology to keep all the Pokémon healthy and to also make significant research developments and new breakthroughs.
Unable to contain his excitement, Ash rushed through the automatic doors expecting to find just Samuel and Tracy working together on a project.
But he was in for a shock.
Interspersed between several corners of the room lay pockets of old friends, companions and rivals. Samuel Oak stationed in the middle of them.
Despite this, Ash might have recognised this as a possible welcoming ceremony had it not been for the unnerving listless expression plastered on their face.
Quickly glancing at each one of them he spied them visibly staring at him.
Misty's appearance had changed dramatically, her once short red hair was now let loose and the fiery colour of it almost marked the vicious look held in her.
His confused gaze turned to May who looked surprisingly short and Max had clearly shot up and held his thickly lensed glasses to his nose almost portraying how dignified he was, both of them struck a sickly glare at the Pallet Town trainer. Drew had accompanied them, twirling his finger around his green hair, however unlike the siblings, Drew simply just remained disinterested as he put an arm around May's shoulder.
Ash was genuinely puzzled and thoughts wracked in his brain, 'Was it a prank?'
Snapping out of his thoughtt, his orbit of sight set on his Unova companions who both looked away with a huff.
Clearly bamboozled by the sudden actions; his eyes lingered on Clemont, Bonnie and... Serena.
Clemont looked away in shame as Bonnie tugged on Clemont's outfit, almost begging for her older brother to swivel the other way.
Another boy was situated next to them but Ash just ignored the pretentious glares recieved.
Then his eyes settled on Serena; a different aura radiated from her. Her eyes seemed dreary in complete contrast to the bright, energetic ones he knew. Her face was slightly pale and no longer resembled the one of the Serena he knew. She looked away immediately, not wanting to look at his distressed face.
Straight away Ash sensed that there was something wrong.
As quick as his partner, Pikachu realised it too.
Ash wandered his eyes off and with a relative sigh, asked almost with lacklustre, "What's up."
Samuel Oak stepped out from the dark shadows where he previously stood. He also seemed different as he strolled leisurely to Ash, his stormy grey eyes persisted in conflict as they flickered to the other people in the room.
His throat cleared of any stutters and then he looked at the trainer in the eye and spoke blunt and clear, "Ash, we want you to give up on your dream."
Cliffhanger!
