Hello and welcome back to my story! Just for everyone to know I am Not Dead. But here's about 4 K to make up for going on an incredibly long hiatus.
Also we hit 1K views like 6 months ago. That's awesome and thank you to the people who have reviewed and the people who have followed. If you didn't know I took a bit of a hiatus earlier but thankfully I am able to continue! In terms of my updating schedule I think that I'll try to post a chapter every 2-3 weeks but my upcoming university exams may postpone any course of updating.
Just another thing, Lightning99, his debut story 'Who Am I' is an absolute banger which you should definitely go and read. ;)

Guest- I'll try my best to keep it as Amourshipping as possible but obviously there will be some twists regarding relationships. I'll probably put up a poll at the end of the story to see which ship people want, but for now the main ship will be Amourshipping!
I'll keep you posted as much as possible on what I am doing but in the meantime I would like to thank the Chuck Moe King for helping me write this story. Me and him and another dude are working on a story which I'll keep you updated about. Althea Sirius went AFK, I don't really know what happened to my Beta-Reader. Also... PLEASE BURN MY SOUL IN THE COMMENTS.
Disclaimer: I don't Own Pokemon because if I did then I would change the anime into stuff similar to Attack On Titan or something.
In a dark area of Kala'e Bay.
Present Day.
3 Days after the betrayal.
Triangular leaves angled at a sharp point sliced at the delicate hands of a girl. She was running desperately trying to evade her pursuer who she could feel gain on her bit by bit.
Her snowy illuminated blonde hair rocked back and forth as she attempted to cover her face from the onslaught of the canopied foliage in Alola's dense forest.
After swerving a great oak tree, the girl abruptly stopped in her tracks and started changing her direction. However the blonde knew where she was and began making her way to a large bush situated in the middle of her track. Green leaves and twigs were left scattered on the floor so she treaded over them softly careful to not make any unnecessary noises.
The girl took a deep breath as she brushed a lock of disgruntled hair and whilst doing that she strided into a bush. Despite it coming across as a simple bush it was in reality an unrevealed place to secrete a person in an emergency. A large cooped pit lay secretive in the conversed leaves of the bush.
Then as quietly as possible, the girl stooped into a ball and lay there hoping she was as silent in comparison to the tranquil surroundings. Steadying her breath into a regular flow she waited for her pursuer to catch up to her. Moments passed and then the cold thud of sneakers collided with the muddy surfaces of the forest path.
The person chasing her was just a few feet away from her and to prevent any loose noises the blonde covered her mouth with her petite hands.
Damon Bester was striding through the canopy in pursuit of a girl that Lusamine treasured so much. He came across as a mangled adolescent in his early twenties. Piercing his nose was a studded ring and an ugly expression was perceived on his face curling into an even more ghastly expression. A tattoo of an obsidian skull was imprinted onto his forearm a mark of his status as a Team Skull Leader made him, obviously excepting the 'Bro' Guzma, the best person to detect the girl.
"I swear that the girl was here somewhere." Muttering to himself
Out of nowhere he heard a rustling noise coming from a nearby bush so he motioned towards it and shoved the leaves revealing a concealed girl hiding in the leaves.
The girl knew she was screwed.
She could only see the stormy grey boots and silently cursed herself knowing that her downfall was to come.
A malevolent smile grew on his face as he picked her up roughly by her disgruntled snowy-blonde hair and started dragging her out.
On the other hand, the blonde girl was futilely trying to break his grip but it was of no use.
"Let...Go...of..me!"
"No can do little girl." Then she started to scream in a tumultuous tone but the Team Skull grunt leader placed a solitary hand to prohibit any noise. Damon snickered as the girl started once again to wildly thrash around.
But out of the blue, a searing-tinge of pain rushed through his hand stunning him for a second. Not willing to dawdle any longer the teen shoved the man's coarse hands over her and made a dash for it.
But fortune was not with her today because in an instant a gnarled root curled on her feet knocking the girl to the ground.
"Well done Trevenant." A grunt escaped Damon's mouth whilst the girl scrambled to her feet but kept getting knocked down by the same root. She glanced upwards to look into the face of a ghostly Pokemon that resembled a slender brown tree. Its shadowy obsidian body was visible through the rather large gaps in the tree but most alarming was a single, crimson eye staring at her in a freakish way that made her somewhat uncomfortable.
But from what the girl could assess from long periods of casual reading at Melemele's public library was that Trevenant could control other trees by using its roots as a nervous system obviously how it managed to trip her up and destroy her only chance of escaping the hellish life she lived before. However, Trevenant's were usually very kind to forest-dwelling creatures and Pokémon that resided in its body but for some reason helping poor teen girls wasn't a part of it's assistance list.
"Unluckily for you I actually knew you were going to try and pull of that trick so ya boi's Trevenant here..." He glanced at his Pokemon, "actually decided to stick to the game plan for once and well look what we've got here - a pretty girl on her own."
He started motioning towards her but she yelled with vicious intent, "Get the Fuck away from me you perverted creep." With that she drew some saliva in her mouth as shot it at his scarred face.
"Aahh. You bitch." Damon's patience levels had flown over the roof and he was majorly pissed of now. "If it wasn't for Guzma's specific instructions, I would have had you raped and had your worthless body dumped somewhere in the ocean."
But then it clicked inside her as her emerald eyes widened in realization, "Guzma...wait...that name...I've heard his name in the local news. WAIT you're telling me that my own mother is working with you bastards. But why would she go to such extreme lengths just to track me down. But dealing with Alola's most dangerous gang. My mother's gone too far this time."
He snickered. "Clever little girl. So you do know who Team Skull is. Not many 15 year..."
"I am 16 years old, thank you very much." She interrupted him with a furious look in her eyes almost intimidating Damon and his partner Pokemon to back off.
Then the Skull Leader sighed as he started to approach the girl and took out 3 pieces of stark white pieces of linen cloth and clenched them in his fists. "Now would you actually stop trying to be fucking annoying and allow me to wrap your hands with this; it would make life so much easier."
The blonde girl was about to resist when out of the corner of the eye she saw a figure stalking in the dark. The figure peeked out of a nearby bush and the girl caught sight of his face and gasped in reassurance. A hint of solace settled into her, keeping her heart rate steady and she calmed herself down knowing she would be safe once this ordeal was over.
She held out her muddy hands and gave her consent to Damon who stood there a bit shell-shock that the girl did not even attempt to protest of some sort and he happily tied the two pieces together.
He breathed a sigh of relief, "Wasn't expecting that little girl, but thank you for actually allowing me to finish my job. Now I can finally hand you over to Lusamine and..."
That was as far as he got.
A blast of fiery air swept across the forest shaking it's core. Damon stopped rambling and instantaneously looked up to the 'was' azure sky now painted in an ominous black full of dark, melancholic clouds engulfing the atmosphere.
"Shit." Under his breath the Team Skull leader swore due to the sudden change in atmospheric conditions.
The clouds were churlish and kraken-cruel. And before long they started to cough out great gouts of water and bulging balloons of sopping moisture.
The autumn sky was dark and vengeful. Steaming shrouds of clouds started to coil and writhe.
Then an unearthly caterwauling sound filled the murky air. The wind was roaring in the great bare trees of the centre, as if it were some wild dark grove deep in a forgotten land. The grey wisps passed across the sky, as they thrummed with the charged energy they were so desperate to release. Heavy rainfall splattered over the coarse soil turning it into slushy goo. The placement was wild and indiscriminate, plump missiles of mass dislike in Damon's mind.
"Well I don't care a damn if your soaked to your skin. My goddamn task is to get you to your blasted mother to seal the deal." He swivelled around to find a macabre surprise. The girl had vanished.
Now he was angry and turned his attention to his trembling Trevenant who awaited his rage. "I gave you one bloody task to do and you couldn't even fucking do it. You are a useless piece of shit with..."
However his observation slowly turned to a loud booming voice that echoed in the reaches of the dense foliage. "Taking a girl from her own free will. How can you call yourself a man."
A cold passage of fear suddenly overwhelmed the skull grunt-leader as he turned frantically around trying to trace the masculine voice. "Whe...Where are you. Come show yourself and fight me if you think you are a man!"
"Very well. You asked for it."
An umbra flash almost glided right past him and the force of impact almost blew Damon away. A great cloud of dust rose from the air, permeating with a musky scent that left the Skull-leader wheezing for breath.
Damon though caught sight of a crimson cape poised with a sense of grandeur and magnificence. Behind the red-caped figure popped out the blonde girl, a snarky smirk was indented on her face.
"You! How...Di..." Damon started out. " I made sure this was going to be a solitary place. I took extra precautions but how?"
"Do you really think I would be so helpless and dumb. I of course had a plan. I just wanted to confirm whether my mother was working with Team Skull and I think I found my answer." The skull leader was definitely annoyed now and focused his scrutiny to the red-caped figure that had saved the girl.
"YOU! Who the hell are you to get In Team Skull's way." Damon's eyes were now twitching with rage as he pointed his finger at the person.
The figure turned around and immediately Damon gasped in shock looking at the muscular tone on the body, "T..He MASKED ROYAL?" He was now quivering slightly in fear as he locked eyes with one of the strongest trainers in Alola.
Recognizable due to his multi-coloured, fluorescent wrestling suit and of course the unique mask that adorned his face concealing his identity.
"Now Lillie, I would like for you to go to Professor Kukui's house and stay there. He should be back from a Fishing trip in about an hour's time but the door should be unlocked so head on in." Damon could feel a sense of odd forcedness in the Masked Royal's voice for some reason, it just didn't seem natural. "I'll take care of this criminal." He said as once again his steely eyes locked on to Damon's making the Skull-Leader tremble in trepidation slightly.
The blonde girl named Lillie nodded and commenced a paced jog through the forest and within a couple of minutes she was out of view.
Once again Damon began convulsing but this time in tantalization and fury. Not only had he failed to bring the girl back but he had also revealed Lusamine's part in the deal; something Guzma told him specifically not to do. He knew that this would not look good if he also ended up in jail. There was only one option out of here. Looking at the Masked Royal in disdain he yelled, "We'll settle this in a fight!"
The only single response from the Masked Royal was a small smirk etched across his face.
Reaching to his belt Damon clasped a Poke-ball and chucked it out whilst shouting, "Bisharp, GO!"
From the blue hues marking the opening of a Poke-ball, a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon. It had a round, red and black head; similar to a war helmet, topped with a golden, double-headed axe blade. It had white, metallic hands that resembled gloves, with retractable, blades attached. Encircling its torso were two honed blades creating the slightly disorienting impression of a ribcage.
In response, the Masked Royal only smiled before confidently chucking out a silver premier ball that revealed, "INCINEROAR. COME JOIN THE BATTLE!"
A sanguine veil imbued the air and titian sparks flew everywhere shrouding the battlefield with mists of heat.
But abruptly the golden sun ascended in the perches of the midday sky radiating an aureate glow. Pools of this light flooded into the forest floor almost blinding Damon and his Pokemon as he struggled to see the feline Pokemon in front of him.
It's obvious features was the short snout with a small red nose, bright green eyes with yellow sclera, and tiny, pointed ears. Its torso was molten grey with several obsidian black stripes that seemed a wrestler tank-top; the front and back both having a single vertical stripe up the centre, crossed by two horizontal lines. But the most recognizable attribute was a belt formed from flames that somewhat identified similar to a championship wrestling belt.
Incineroar flexed his vigorously trained muscles and formed a stance fermenting it's position before growling fiercely at it's two opponents.
The Masked Royal could sense a degree of consternation when looking directly at the Trevenant and Bisharp opposing him. His trademark smile came into view knowing that the fight would be over in under 2 minutes.
Damon went first and commanded, " Bisharp use Flash Cannon and Trevenant use Shadow Ball!"
Bisharp formed a silver ball in between it's blades and shot it whilst Trevenant used its ghastly claws to create a purple orb and sent it flying towards Incineroar.
But the wrestling Matador uttered two syllables, "Cross Chop."
Incineroar nodded on the instruction from it's trainer and created a lilac pulse on it's dual hands before launching itself at the two attacks.
A cataclysmic outburst on the forest field sent a sizable gale steaming across the battle field which in turn let guffawing spouts of dust compelling the two trainers to shield their eyes from the impact.
Once again Damon smirked expecting a worn down Incineroar struggling to get onto it's feet. But he found the Heel Pokemon stimulating his legs and pumping them out with no visible injuries.
"Grrr." Damon was starting to get annoyed. He had though a 2 Vs 1 situation would indefinitely put the advantage on his side.
"Trevenant use Shadow Claw and Bisharp use Guillotine!"
A luminescent streak of bold purple appeared adorning the branch like hands of the Phantom Tree Pokemon whilst two metallic incisors grew in size on the retractable blades. Then the two Pokemon proceeded to charge furiously at Incineroar who stood there unfazed by the incoming attack.
Then surprisingly the Masked Royal commanded Incineroar to take the attacks by shouting, "Use Bulk UP!"
Red and yellow tinges increased the ferocious feline's attack and defence stats making it more formidable then ever.
However despite the added extra defence, the two Pokemon catapulted towards their opponent and unleashed their moves devastating Incineroar, forcing the fiery cat to stumble into the ground with one knee planted on the grounded.
Vilely, Damon chuckled. "And look at this. The great Masked Royal already defeated. How pathetic are you?"
But once again the Masked Royal donned on his eloquent smile and replied, " I was about to ask that question to you."
And now Incineroar, grunting slightly, heaved itself of the dusted battlefield.
Then it happened. Exactly what the Masked Royal was looking for.
Damon watched as Incineroar's bruised body began to glow a luminescent red and the tip of it's tail smouldered further resulting in a vermillion colour. A single hue of the most pure essence of gold overwhelmed the red and created the aerating fusion between the two brilliant tints.
His eyes glowed up in a strange feeling of awe looking at the sight of the majestic creature in front of him. He snapped out quickly of his trance before reassessing the situation. Damon knew he had to get rid of that Incineroar before it could get anymore attack stats.
"That what you are seeing is Incineroar's special ability, Blaze. Let me enlighten you as to what it is. Blaze is one of the most powerful and possibly the rarest ability in the entire pantheon of Pokemon." Briefly pausing the Masked Royal sighed, "According to sources only 1 other trainer who had possession of an incredibly cogent Infernape in the Sinnoh League was in possession of this ability."
Then a reply came, "But why are you telling me this useless information."
The matador smirked, "Just to let you know what it's effects are."
Now with an increased determination to end the fight once and for all the Masked Royal crossed his arms to form an X symbol. A frostier aura swarmed the air breaking the fine mold of the rock solid crust that held the surface together as golden flames started heating up.
He gasped, "A Z-MOVE! I knew you would cheat; because this only way you stay undefeated just like Guzma said."
However the Masked Royal took no notice of the comment and continued arching his muscled to sync with his partner. "Incineroar, incinerate the ring with your FIRE!"
"I won't allow you." Damon signalled to his two Pokemon who stood there in daze of the mighty Pokemon. "Both of you use HYPER Beam!"
Flashes of vindictive Purple light joined together cohesively to create a colossal beam heading towards the charged up feline.
"Incineroar. Let loose!"
Sparks came of orange-gold, dancing in their carefree way, before taking their bow as they became the fiery cinders. This resulted in a huge incandescent ball of scintillating fire that seemed primordial in threat. Then as quick as sound itself, the auriferous ball of flames consumed the Hyper Beam and confined the two Pokemon before exploding in a cataclysmic display of vivid colours.
The Earth coughed up mists of more dust and for ten seconds the two trainers looked on at the occurrence. Both Weaville and Trevenant slumped on the ground with serious looking burns covered on their fur. Damon simply stood there with his eyes in a daze unable to comprehend the loss.
The Masked Royal then focused his attention to the Skull Leader. Knowing Team Skull was a danger to this Island and they would continue to be so he ordered the finishing blow reluctantly, "Use False Swipe."
The last thing Damon saw before he passed out was the steel claws of Incineroar glistening in the Alola sunset.
Standing out over the injured bodies, the Masked Royal whipped out his Phone and dialled 911 bringing upon the Emergency Police services.
"911, What's your emergency." The feminine voice of Officer Jenny came into the hearing angle.
"Ah, yes. Officer Jenny. I seem to have come across an injured Skull Grunt just lying on this path, his Pokemon are heavily burnt and will probably need medical attention."
"Alright. And may I get your name and the location to track this incident."
The Masked Royal chuckled slightly, "Well I wouldn't be able to give you my name but think of me as someone who just wants to ensure people's safety. The location exactly is the 33rd Sector of the Ka'la Forest. It's pretty hard to find on foot so I would reckon trying to scout in the air since they seem to be within a large clearing. I think it should be pretty obvious to spot whilst in the air." With that he hung up and started trekking down the path.
Incineroar walked behind him wincing slightly before his trainer suddenly noticed it and gladly returned him back inside his ball.
He clutched a different Poke-Ball and released the enraptured Pokemon and the newly sprung bird Pokemon gently strained it's wing muscles.
Braviary was a large, avian Pokémon with dark red feathers on its back and dark blue feathers on its underside. His contrast between colours clearly resembled that of a North Kantonian War Bonnet.
Braviary was initially considered extremely aggressive especially as a hotheaded Rufflet who wouldn't allow any person to come close or interact with it. That all changed when he met a young Kukui. (A:N/ Just something to say if you didn't know already The Masked Royal is Professor Kukui)
Although originally thinking all Human's were evil bastards, the young Rufflet as he spent time with Kukui and his small Litten decided that this human was trustworthy and within several months he was a part of the team that took the Island Grand Trials by storm.
It had earned the nickname "hero of the skies" due to its extreme dedication for assisting the people of Alola with everyday ventures. Aiding its valiance, Braviary was extremely strong, capable of lifting a car and flying with it.
"C'mon Boy, we have to get back to let Lillie into the house." The Masked Royal immediately reverted into his Alter Ego as Professor Kukui by changing his costume into a more professional lab coat.
Braviary bowed down to his trainer allowing him to mount on top of his back and with an elegant flap of his wings the Bird Pokemon set off into the glorious Alolan sunset.
Professor Kukui usually loved the feeling of the cool air brushing into his face but in this instance he was left pondering.
Due to the recent events, the undeniable truth that Lusamine was involved with illegal antics with Team Skull rattled him knowing that it would leave not just a massive impact on him in terms of his rocky past with Guzma but in Lillie's prospect who has to now come into the shocking terms that her own mother was delusional and frankly quite insane as Kukui put it.
This was a major problem but Kukui put it in the back of his mind. He was going to look forward to the new school day tomorrow where he would welcome his class back in to the classroom for another half a year according to Alola's traditional system.
There was so much more exciting prospects than just the one daunting idea of Ultra Wormholes coming into the mix.
Yes I am Not DEAD! This Chapter around 4K but I hope You like it. Please review so I can also see your opinion on this chapter.
