Prologue
Rain fell freely on the ground, wetting the grasses and giving flowers the water they need to grow. The trees swished in the storm as thunder rang throughout the clouded area. Within this deep, dense forest, a single girl around the age of 6 with long icy blue hair and deep blue eyes ran. Tears flowed from her eyes as she hurried away from the rushing crowd of villagers hoarding towards her, weapons in hand.
The girl ran and ran, sobs choking her throat. One thought kept running through her mind, Why? What did I do? Why do you hate me so much?
As she kept thinking, she failed to notice a tree root, poking out from the ground below and tripped upon contact with it. "No, no, no!" Looking back at her barefoot, she could see blood poking out from the wound. Glancing frantically at the incoming horde and her foot, she clenched her eyes shut for a second and summoned the only thing that could help her at the moment. The same thing that brought her this grief.
As the villagers neared the fallen girl, an aura suddenly erupted. And aura which could vaguely describe the yin yang. Half of it felt pure while the other half felt like the darkness that threatened to engulf everything. Yet, even with that threat, it dare not harm the pure white almost as if the darkness was ond of it. A balance. Both of these auras carried a great amount of mana, as anyone standing close to it would know.
The one leading the villagers stepped back in fright, "There it is! That inhuman power! No human could possibly carry that much raw magic!"
Shouts of agreement echoed back as the girl looked on in disbelief. The villagers were either incredibly stupid or incredibly brave but the girl knew it was that they were stupid. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
The moment she opened her eyes, the villagers stepped back further, sweat joining the rain droplets that had made their descent on the villager's faces. Her blue eyes were hard and threatening, just daring the villagers to come her way and see what happens.
"Leave. Me. Alone."
And that was all it took to send the villagers scurrying back to their holes. The girl sighed in relief and fell on her back and took a deep breath. She let her aching feet be soothed by the rainwater sliding upon it.
But then the full realization of what she had done came crashing down upon her. She had sent the villagers of her village running away from her while thinking she was a demon. Now, where was she to go? She had no other home. The village was her only form of shelter and food. Even if she was mistreated, she at least got the essentials necessary to live.
Her thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sound of footsteps. She quickly sat up, ready to burst out her magic again should they be there to harm her. That thought was quickly put away when she saw the figure reach her. The person was an eighteen-year-old boy. He had silver hair that defied gravity with two large strands falling around the sides of his face. These two strands had neon green highlights and his golden eyes stood out quite well. He wore a white and blue jacket with orange borders and blue jeans with brown boots. She knew one thing for sure after seeing him. This was not a person from her village.
Some relief filled her but then those golden eyes fell upon her own blue ones. The girl watched as the boy's eyes widened in some recognition and some tears seeped through his eyes. What was he crying for? She could not understand. Did everyone who saw her have to cry. Was it because of her that the boy was crying? She lifted her hand towards the golden-eyed boy and spoke softly, "Please do not cry."
The boy smiled sadly, "It's okay. You don't need to worry. You just remind me of someone precious to me."
The girl quirked her head to the side, "I do? Who, Mister?"
"My sister."
The girl was shocked. Before, when anyone thought she reminded them of someone, it would always be someone they despised and they would beat her while thinking that she was actually them. To think that a stranger thought that she looked like his sister. Wait, that's it. He's a stranger. He doesn't know the inhuman power she has. Her head drooped at that realization.
The boy caught this movement and frowned, "What happened?"
"You shouldn't be here with me. I could accidentally hurt you."
"What do you mean?"
The girl looked up, "I mean that I have an inhuman ability to use a lot of mana."
"You're a mage?" The boy asked, quirking his head to the side.
The girl shook her head. "No. I just have the mana. Can't really use magic well."
"You mean you haven't tried to train your magic?"
"Train?"
The boy nodded, "That's right. Even if you have an unbelievable amount of mana in your container, if you train it, you'll be able to contain it and use it to your liking."
The girl's eyes widened, "Huh?"
The boy nodded. "Yeah? No-one tried to teach you?"
The girl looked down, "N-no. They never have. They were all too afraid of me and now I can never go back."
A confused look crossed the boy's face, "What do you mean?"
"They were all chasing me with weapons so I ran away and got hurt so I used my raw magic to scare them away and now they all think I really am a demon."
"A demon, huh?"
The girl nodded and the boy stared at her for a moment. "How would you like to come with me?"
The girl seemed surprised, "What?"
"Since you have nowhere to go home to, you can come to me. And I can teach you to control your magic."
The girl looked at the boy for a moment before asking slowly, "You mean you are a mage."
A nod.
"You mean you can help me control this."
Another nod.
"Are you sure about this?"
Again, a nod.
"...How come you aren't scared of me?"
This time, there was a chuckle, "If I was scared of you, then I wouldn't be able to keep my title, now would I?"
"Title?"
"That's right. The title of the Supreme King Dragon."
"Dragon? How are you a dragon?"
"Like this." And then the wind picked up as the boy seemed like he was getting swallowed up by it. The wind surrounded him completely as the slight gale turned into a tornado that read the clouds. Two giant black wings with green highlights poked out of the tornado and a roar resounded throughout the premises and the tornado disappeared altogether. And the sight it left, astounded the little girl. There, where the boy once stood was now a giant dragon with black scales lining it and green scales here and there. The dragon's wings spread over the horizon majestically as the girl stumbled to form words.
"Well then, how about it?"The boy's voice resounded from the dragon. "Do you want to learn unimaginable magic?"
