Zeref POV
I woke up and I saw my computer was off and paperwork. I must have fallen asleep while grading and I felt somebody with their hands on me. Their touch was warm and soft, but I wonder who it is. I sat up to see it was Lucy who had her hands on me and I blushed from the touch. I looked at the time to see it was 6:00 a.m. I got up then I woke up Lucy who looked at the time and rushed to her room. I went to my bathroom in my room and got ready then when I came out I went towards the kitchen and saw Lucy eating fruit and drinking a smoothie. I was making waffles so I made two and gave her one so she can be full.
We both got in my car and drove off towards the Academy and she ran in the building towards class while I went to the office to go check-in. After I checked in I walked towards my classroom and when I arrived and walked in saw that my class was talking. I mean I can't blame them cause if it were m then I would be doing the same thing.
"Okay get seated", I said as they did what I said.
"What are we going to be learning today ", asked the girl with blueberry slushie hair which is Levy.
"Glad you asked. We're going to be doing algebra and chemistry today and you guys are going to be doing your own experiment", I said as some looked confused.
"What do you exactly mean by that", asked the boy with blueberry hair which is Jellal.
"Meaning you're going to be making up your own experiment and it can't be nothing from the book, but you can look in the book so that way you know what not to mix or put in the container", I said as some of them looked unsure.
"Example please", asked Natsu.
"Meaning if you wanna make slime for example you can't use its regular or usual ingredient like borax, glue, water, eye drops, shaving cream, and that other stuff", I said as they then had understood.
"Okay find a partner and we're heading to the chemistry room", I said as they all got up to find their partner.
I gathered my things to leave and I saw Natsu walk towards where Lucy was and I saw Levy who was gathering her stuff. He stopped where Levy was at then he whispered something into her ear and Levy nodded to it and Natsu shows his signature grin. When he had walked over to Lucy and smiled I felt my blood heat up cause I think I might have been jealous. I know this might be something bad, but I actually like Lucy.
We left the classroom and went towards the lab and when we arrived there was a class in there and so we left and when we arrived at another one and there was a class there. Everybody was getting tired and I was to cause we had been walking around for ten minutes, so when we arrived at the last one I walked in to see bags and stuff there. But this one was supposed to be mine and I even went to the office and told I was going to be using the lab.
Like seriously Mirajane said she had assigned my name to a lab for the week and when I looked closer at who stuff was in there I knew exactly who it was.
"Okay raise your hand if your strong and you can pick up soft and heavy materials", I asked as everybody raised their hand and I smirked.
"Okay, that's good now huddle up", as everybody did as I said and we were in a circle.
"So why are we in a huddle and why are you asking if we can pick up heavy and soft materials", asked Laxus.
"You see there is stuff in the room that is not supposed to be in here cause we were assigned the room", I said.
"So basically what we're gonna do is move the stuff out of the room like backpacks and materials a teacher uses which is get the laptop and carton", I said as everybody went in the room bringing out backpacks, food, drinks, technology, and others.
"Okay we're done", said Evergreen who was sweating. Seriously who sweats after caring two lunch boxes and tablets.
"Okay, class we're gonna go in, sit down, and start our lesson well actually project", I said as everybody got situated and started working on the project.
For some reason, I kept looking at Natsu and Lucy and Natsu was smiling. He never smiles at any girl, but this is the first.
I was acting like I was doing work on my computer, but I was really looking at Natsu and Lucy cause it looks like he trying to get close to her. I looked at everybody else who mixing up new ingredients and some were having trouble maintaining it.
I turned on my computer and started to type until suddenly somebody knocked on the door like a volcano when it is about to erupt.
I wasn't going to answer the door and somebody came to the other door and opened it. They came in pretty angry and yelled, "ZEREF YOU $$HOLE".
I was trying my best not to laugh cause it was Mavis who was yelling my name and cursing me out.
"Ms. Vermillion you at work you can't be cursing in front of the students", I said as she glared at me.
"They curse all the time and you on the other hand need to come put all the stuff you took out of this room back in here", she said as I raised one of my eyebrows.
"Why is that, where you assigned the classroom", I asked her as she then walked away and I saw most of the class laughing.
"Sorry you had to see that now get back to work", I said as they all nodded.
After five hours of them working the bell finally rung for the students to go to their physical or mental activity. They all left well except for one and that was Lucy.
"Hey Zeref are you okay from all that just happened you know hours ago", she asked.
"Not really cause as her as a teacher she needs to act professionally instead of acting like an immature adult who can't let go of the past", I said.
"Why did yall break up as friends", she asked.
"Something like that. She is my ex-girlfriend and three years ago she broke up with me cause she said that I act differently with her when I get around her", I said.
"What do you mean by that", she asked.
"What I mean by that is that you in high school and you'll understand something like this. A lot of couples like to you know have sex and have a baby at an early age and her, on the other hand, is mad cause I didn't want to have sex with her and have a baby cause we were in college. I had a scholarship and she did as well and so I'm like why would you do something like this and so she broke up with me", I said explaining the whole story.
"That explains why she doesn't like you", said Lucy.
"I know right", I said.
The bell then had rung and Lucy looked upset. "Dang it Aquarius is going to kill me", she said.
"I thought Aquarius was the coach for swimming", I said.
"She is, but the team is going away for three days, and I have gymnastics and she is going to make me hold myself up for thirty minutes while I move around with hands while my legs are over my shoulders", she said.
"I'll write you a pass", I said as Lucy smiled.
"Thank you", she said.
I got a piece of paper and wrote the pass down and gave it to her and she ran towards the gym. I decided to go down there to see if Aquarius would accept it. When I made it down there I saw Lucy in her suit and I had to leave cause I was having a situation. I was walking back to my classroom until I saw Natsu run towards me.
"Hey Zeref", he greeted.
"Yeah", I asked.
"You wanna come to play some football outside after your done working", he asked.
"I'm good", I said as I walked off towards my classroom.
