Zeref POV

I was at my house making me a sandwich since I was having a taste for it. Lucy came into the kitchen a little bit nervous and I looked at her worried. She sat down at the table and I asked her "What's wrong?" and she just looked at me and pulled her phone out. "I'm all ears," I said as she showed me some messages from Natsu.

First, it was with the greeting then it came to the thing I never wanted to happen. 'Would you like to go on a study date with me at the hangout session at school?'. I knew he always liked her, but I never knew he had the guts to ask her out. Even though it was on the phone in messages. "Oh! But don't you like Natsu?" I asked her as she just looked away from me. "So you do like my brother?" I asked snickering. "Well, you see the problem is that I don't have a crush or any type of feelings for Natsu," she said as I was surprised.

"What you mean?" I asked her as she sighed. "What I'm basically trying to say is that I see him more as a friend other than a boyfriend or other things. We've been best friends since middle school and now he's asking me out. I never knew he had a crush on me." she said explaining to me. "Oh!" I said understanding what she meant. "Now it's gonna be awkward because the next day when I go study with Levy, Gajeel, and him he's gonna be wondering why I didn't respond," she said. "Plus I like somebody else," she said as I smirked. "Who?" I asked as she started snickering. "Can't tell," she said as I nodded.

I heard the doorbell ring and I walked towards the door to open it and see who was there. Once I did open it I saw Natsu standing there smiling. "Hey Zeref!" he said as I waved back. "Natsu," I said greeting him. "So what are you doing here?" I asked as him. "Well, I just came to visit my big brother," he said as I let him in and when he entered he was shocked to see Lucy.

"Lu-Lu LUCY you live here?" he yelled shocked and Lucy was just laughing awkwardly. "Guilty," she said as I just sighed. He looked at me confused. "She had nowhere to stay and I couldn't have a student showing off their body for money," I said as Natsu still seemed confused.

"Lucy, can I talk to you privately please?" he asked as I rolled my eyes. "Sure!" she said leaving the house. Them two left down the street and I was just wondering what they were gonna talk about. Wait, no I don't.

Lucy POV

Natsu and I were walking down the street and it was silent for a good five minutes. "So you've been living with my brother for how long?" he asked as I sighed. "Since the first week of school," I said as he nodded. "Why didn't you just live in the dorms they provided for us or ask your parents to provide the bill at your apartment?" he asked as I sighed again. "I don't want my parents to always support me with cash in everything, I need to learn how to do things on my own. Plus I didn't wanna live in the dorms because of the things y'all be doing I'm not gonna get any rest from," I said as he couldn't disagree with me on that cause he knew it was true.

"Understood," he said. "So I gotta ask why did you ask me out?" I asked wanting to change the topic. "Umm look I did that so I could talk to you about something," he said sounding serious. "What is it Natus?" I asked as he seemed nervous. "I was gonna tell this to Zeref, but knowing him he might say something silly," he said as I nodded. "Lucy I'm gay," he said as I was a bit shocked.

"Your gay?" I asked still surprised. "I just said that," he said kind of annoyed. "Are you gonna tell your parents?" I asked as he shrugged. "I'm not sure. At this point, I can't tell them anything because you know what my family is like," I said as I didn't get it. "Natsu your parents seem very understanding from what I know, I don't think that they'll be mad about that," I said as he nodded. "I don't think they'll be upset about me being gay, they'll just be upset about who I like," he said as I cocked my eyebrow up. "Who do you like?" I asked as he sighed. "I like Gray," he said as I was like what the fuck. I started laughing and he seemed to be upset. "You, Natsu Dragneel who is always calling him mean names and making fun of him, likes Gray Fullbuster," I said as he started scratching the back of his neck.

"I know its shocking to know that Natsu Dragneel likes Gray Fullbuster," he said as I just couldn't. "So do you think he likes you?" I asked as he shrugged. "We always argue with each other, so no," he said as I nodded. "Your my best friend and I had to tell you first cause I know I can trust you," he said as I smiled. "Well I'm flattered," I said as she nodded. "So you and my brother?" he asked as I tensed. "What about me and Zeref?" I asked trying not to get tricked.

"Come on Lucy it's obvious that you like my brother," he said as I started sweating. "By the way you look at him and talk to him it shows that you like him," he said as I blushed. "Ok let's stop talking about our crushes," I said as he smirked. "Shit," I said as he started laughing.
