Thank you all for the reviews 3 I'm so happy to get this chapter quickly for you all!

Late October

"Grandma, I think my parents are trying to have another baby," Pan sighed as her head sunk into her arms, burying her head in defeat. She'd been struggling with this new revelation for a couple of weeks now and it still felt a knife striking through her heart knowing it was true. After complaining to her friends many times, they revealed to her the reality of what her parents' hyperactive sex-life truly meant: they were trying to conceive.

At first, she blew them off, countering that if they wanted kids they would've had one year ago. Who the hell wants to start raising another child all over again in their mid-thirties. Oh was she naive. Maybe it was the fact that she was as curious as her mother, destined to be a well-respected detective, but Pan decided to open a little investigation.

It wasn't long before she realized how wrong she had been. Prenatal vitamins in their medicine cabinet. Parenting and parenting books were scattered around Gohan's office. The spare bedroom in their house was slowly being cleaned. Finally, she overheard Videl disappointingly telling Gohan that her cycle had come. Considering all of this evidence, Pan knew they really were trying to have a baby.

"What makes you say that?" Chichi asked her pouty granddaughter, unknowingly pulling the girl out of her daze.

"Mama sounded pretty sad when she told Papa that she had missed her period. AND they're cleaning out the guest room. The bed and dresser are gone and I swear I saw some of my baby stuff in there," Pan answered disappointment ringing in her tone.

And just like that Chichi was jumping with joy. "Oh Pan this is great! Another grandbaby! Wow I kinda gave of hope of Gohan having another ki,. I really didn't think Videl wanted another child. Oh who cares about that now! This is just amazing news!"

"Amazing!? Hello! You already have a granddaughter, you don't need another grandchild" Pan pleaded. It was useless however, her grandmother loved babies.

"I can love more than one grandchild, Panny," Chichi consoled her then planted a kiss on her cheek. She took a pause while preparing their lunch and pulled a chair up close to her granddaughter. "You should be excited, having another sibling is great! I wish I had a brother or a sister."

"Yea maybe if I was a kid but I'm a teenager, I don't want to deal with a new baby in the house," Pan hopelessly groaned. "I just don't understand why they wouldn't ask me how I feel about this."

"Oh honey," Chichi laughed, it was obvious that the Son and Satan family had spoiled this girl too much. Of course, she didn't want another sibling when she's so used to all the attention being on her. Chichi was a little surprised with her reaction considering she was a teenager and this reaction is something she expected as a toddler. "I can tell you are worried about not being the center of our attention anymore but you're a big girl now, you'll just have to learn how to accept this."

"I don't want to! I hope mama never gets pregnant!" Pan shouted.

"Pan!" Chichi shouted with her hand raised to smack the girl but stopped herself before she could inflict any harm as she noticed the girl raise her arm in defense. She gained her composure before responding. Before saying anything she put both her hands on her shoulders and stared down at her granddaughter sternly. "Pan why would you say such a thing. You shouldn't wish infertility on anyone."

"I'm sorry," Pan stammered out. This was the closest she ever got to being hit by her grandma her eyes welled up with tears from the tense moment that had just occurred. "I just really don't want everything to change, I like how things are right now. Just me, Papa, and Mama," she whimpered.

"Trust me, Pan, you're going to love being a part of a big family, it's just something you're going to learn how to accept dear," Chichi bluntly advised her. "Don't you want your parents to be happy."

Pan gave her a reluctant answer with a stoic face, her grandmother wasn't listening to her, and now more than ever she wished to go help her grandfather on the farm. "Yes of course I do. Can I be excused now?"

Chichi nodded and Pan practically flew out the living room with urgency. "That girl is something else," she sighed after hearing Pan slam her bedroom door shut.

Elsewhere in the city, Gohan and Videl found themselves having a casual dinner date with none other than their closest friends Erasa and Sharpener. Even post-high school, the unlikely friend squad stayed in touch regularly despite each member's busy lifestyle.

While Sharpener was elected most likely to become a professional athlete due to his raw athleticism, the man opted for a business career. He was the owner of one of the most successful nightclubs in town and soon to be opening a gym which summed up his personality: gym party bro. The man never married although that did not stop him from being a family man; two kids with two different women.

Erasa followed Gohan in the education career however chose to teach kids versus adults, reasoning that adults were boring and lazy and kids were filled with creativity and potential. It was in college where she met her husband then her dorky, but adorable, history tutor. Now the two are living happily ever after… with six kids and one on the way.

Over the course of the meal, almost everyone had given their life updates. Sharpener manly talked about his business only mentioning his kids a couple of times. Erasa raved about each one of her bundles of joys. Videl however stayed quiet, sticking to keeping her mouth full of food or alcohol as a way out of talking. Gohan however was talking more than usual to make up for his wife's avoidance.

If only she had been able to stop him before he revealed to their friends that they were trying to have a baby. Videl's face lit up like a stop sign from embarrassment and mainly because of the food had almost got caught in her throat. "Gohan!" she shouted once her mouth food free.

"Oh my god I can't believe you guys are trying to have another baby!" the blonde hair woman squealed with joy at the dinner table the group sat at. Luckily for them, they were at a table in the back of the restaurant. "We're going to be bump buddies again!"

"Don't get your hope up yet I might be infertile," Videl slurred out before taking another sip of her long island iced tea. She knew she probably shouldn't be drinking since they were trying to conceive but that was the last thing on her mind. It had been a stressful week and she needed to let go.

"Oh," Erasa responded flatly as she slowly sat back down and avoided eye contact.

"No way, you've already had a baby," Sharpener said.

"I'm old," Videl cried as her body melted into the booth seat. "I'm ooooooooold."

"You're only thirty-four, that's not old. She's also exaggerating," Gohan said as she pulled Videl closer. "The doctor said we shouldn't worry if it hasn't been longer than a year."

Videl's face scrunched up in disgust. "That old delusional man doesn't know shit about my uterus. Obviously, there has to be something wrong if I got pregnant so easily with Pan."

"Well, how do you know that, wasn't she an accident?" Sharpener questioned.

"Yes but we might as well have been trying, Gohan rarely pulled out and I was inconsistent with my birth control," she drank brunette. She went in to take another sip of her alcohol but that plan was tarnished when her goody-two-shoes husband swiped the sweet beverage.

"That's enough," he embarrassingly chuckled. "Don't want to wake up hungover now do we?"

"And don't be so hard on yourself girl, I can give you-" she couldn't finish her as Videl had reached across the table and placed her index fingers over her lips.

"I don't need fertility advice from the woman with the golden uterus," she said flatly.

Sharpener covered his mouth with his hand to prevent him from laughing, while he found her response hilarious he did not wish to face the wrath of drunk Videl Satan.

Gohan grabbed her hips to pull her back into her seat. "She didn't mean that in a mean way," he laughed nervously. 'Maybe it would've been a better idea to get ice cream instead of drinks'

"Of course she didn't, this will just be another funny story I'll tell at your baby shower," Erasa giggled. "Well if you won't let me give you advice can I just wish you good luck and a healthy pregnancy?"

Videl, who was now chugging her drink (which she nabbed while Gohan was distracted), gave a thumbs-up as her response.

"Hey!" Gohan, now mortified, shouted.
