Lucy POV

Today was a day like any other. Go to school, practice, and go home. Nothing much was going on. I haven't hung out with Natsu for a few weeks because he's constantly been at practice along with the other football players. My other best friend Levy has been studying for some competition that's about to come up. She and some other kids at the school aren't in athletics like most of the kids at this academy are.

Now that I think about it almost everybody I know has either been exhausted or sore from training. I'm surprised Aquarius hasn't been making the swim or soccer team train. Knowing her she usually is keeping us from when classes are over to 2 am. She only does that when we're going against schools like Sabertooth and Alvarez Empire.

Sabertooth comes first most of the time with Athletics but Alvarez Empire comes first all the time with Academics. They're decent at sports, but not that good. Fairy Tail comes first, most of the time with both of them. When I applied for Fairy Tail I easily got in since I've been participating in programs and events they offer at the academy since I was little along with the others, so it wasn't hard to get in. I got accepted for both sports and academics but I didn't know which ones I wanted to do. They said I could get a scholarship with either one of them.

My counselor had told me since I make pretty good grades at school and sometimes participate in activities then I could get a scholarship to a college for academics. So I went with sports. The soccer game with Sabertooth was over and next was swimming.

I was walking to Zeref's house since I stayed late to coach little kids. He left in a rush for something. I don't know what it was but he seemed excited about it. He texted me not to come home for an hour or two. Now that I think about it Mavis had left the building quickly not too long after Zeref left.

That boiled my blood that the two of them might be fucking. I'm not slow when it comes to stuff like that. When two people are trying to make it unnoticeable that there going to do it, they leave at different t times so it doesn't look too obvious. I use to do that with the first person I had sex with, but that's a story for another time.

Why am I getting jealous of Mavis and Zeref? Usually, when I had sex with people I wouldn't feel this emotionally connected with them, except the first person I had sex with. I can't be mad that Mavis was Zeref's first passionate lover. She's a very nice person, but she tends to get mad at him on a regular basis. Their friends I think!?

I was only a block away from the house and I walked very slow. I was afraid of what I was going to walk in on knowing how sensitive I am. I pulled my key out Zeref had given me to the house and I started to walk up the steps of the house. I put the key in so I could unlock the door. I slowly turned the knob and opened the door. I looked to see it was kinda dark inside. The lights were dimmed in the kitchen and there I saw Zeref setting food on the table with candles lit up. I walked in and closed the door.

"Hey, Zeref!" I greeted. He flinched when he heard my voice. I guess he didn't hear me when I came in. "Lucy, what are you doing here? I thought you were at the school," he laughed awkwardly. "I was, but I left because I was done training the little kids," I exclaimed. "Oh, you weren't supposed to be here," he rubbed the back of his neck. "I can leave if you have company coming over," I told him. I turned around to open the door, but I heard footsteps behind me. "Wait, don't go!" he grabbed my wrist. I didn't look at him.

"Zeref it's okay that your gonna have a date, I can come back in another two hours," I told him. "Nobodies coming over. I was setting up the dinner for you," he blushed. "Me?" I asked surprised. "Yeah, you! We haven't exactly had alone time with each other. Mostly because of work and school sports," he pointed up. "Oh!" I felt my face heat up. "So since everybody is busy with their school activity and luckily Aquarius doesn't work you guys that hard, I thought we could spend some time together," he said.

"That would be good. I need a break and the food smells good," I smiled. I walked towards the table and sat down. I saw steak, rice, and shrimp. The same thing was on his plate too. He had sushi there as well. For my drink, he had given me Fanta Strawberry while he had wine. I never had wine before because I am underage for it.

I took a bite of the steak and it was pretty good. I was expecting it to taste bad. I noted in my book a while back that the Dragneels don't have very good cooking skills except for Grandeeney or Mrs. Dragneel and Wendy. Well Wendy, can cook basic stuff. It's Igneel and Natsu who can't cook. I remember a couple of times I spent a night at Natsu's house or he would come to mines and he would offer to cook. Every time he cooks he always burns the food. I'm so glad that Zeref does not cook badly.

As I continued eating the food Zeref, I felt him staring at me. "What's up?" I asked him. "Oh nothing, just was wondering if the food is good?" he looked the other way. "It is. I didn't know you could cook like this," I told him. "We've been leaving together since school started, what made you think I couldn't cook?" he asked. "Well, the only ones in your family who can cook are Grandeeney and Wendy with adult supervision," I exclaimed. "I know, my dad and brother don't do so well," he snickered.

"Yeah, I remember Igneel cooked for Natsu, and me since Grandneey was out of town, the cook had a day off, and Wendy was at a sleepover. The fire department had to rush to the mansion. From that day forward Grandeeney had Igneel have the fire department on speed dial from whenever he was left online with us," I told him. "That explains why he has them on speed dial on his phone," he said.

I finished everything on my plate and so did Zeref. "That kinda explains why you rushed out of the school today," I told him. "Yeah, I rushed out to go get the food and cook it, what did you think I was doing?" he asked. My face heated up and I covered it up. "Okay I saw you leave in a rush and I also saw Mavis leave in a rush a little after you, then you texted me not to come over for an hour or two, so I thought you and Mavis were hooking up," I explained. "No, we weren't hooking up, Mavis doesn't even like me like that," he snickered.

"Yes, she does! It's obvious by the way she treats you. Sometimes when a girl likes a boy, they're mean to them to hide their true feelings," I explained. "I never thought of it that way, I guess that's what some people in the class have," he told me. "Like who?" I was curious. "Like Gajeel is was rude to Levy at the beginning which means he liked her, Evergreen always try to play hard to get when around Elfman, Jellal and Erza are always competing with each other and show a deep desire for one another, and Laxus not taking notice to Freed," he explained. For a teacher who is rude most of the time, he notices everything that goes on in the classroom.

"What about Gray and Juvia?" I asked. "Yeah, but Gray is gay. He shows no interest in her for that exact reason along with other girls. I knew this from the beginning when he didn't exactly like girls throwing themselves at him and don't you ever notice that he is quick to call someone out as Freed does?" he asked. I had to think about it and Gray will say something when he gets uncomfortable with a female and shares his honest opinion. Like he will straight up tell Juvia that she is crazy.

"It's also in the name," he pointed out. "What do you mean?" I asked him. "His name is Gray, but if you take out the r you will you get Gay," he exclaimed. "That does not prove a point by his name that he is gay," I rolled my eyes. "Ok if you say so, but I don't think Mavis likes me. Let's get off of Mavis and me, what about you and that white-headed girl from Sabertooth?" he asked. "Who Yukino?" I asked as he nodded. "Yes, what's going on between the two of you?" he asked. "Nothing, we are just friends," I said. "You sure because it seems like she likes you more than as a friend," he smirked. "I think she did, but she got back with her ex-girlfriend I got into a fight with her during the soccer game," I explained.

"I never knew you liked both genders," he said surprised. "I honestly don't! I find more interest in men. Natsu had tricked me into going on a double date with him, Sting, Yukino, and me," I exclaimed. "Wait, so you mean to tell me you didn't know you were going on a double date with Natsu?" he asked as I shook my head. "Natsu is sometimes unpredictable!" I said.

"Oh, I thought you had gone out with her because you didn't like me or you were so angry that you were done with men," he exclaimed. "What made you think that?" I asked. "Well, you kept avoiding me like you didn't want to have anything to do with me. Even when we got home you would go into your room and lock yourself in there. I felt like after us having sex that it made everything awkward between us," he explained. "It did make everything awkward like I didn't know what we were supposed to do after because we weren't in a relationship," I said. "Yeah, because I can't just go up to you and ask if you want to be my girlfriend, that's just too corny and cringy," he shivered.

"Well, how the hell are you going to ask me?" I looked at him like he was an idiot. "Well don't someone have to make it official?" he asked. "Not exactly because both have to agree on it," I said. "Okay how do I ask without being corny," he said to himself. "Maybe just say we're official?" I asked. "Right! Lucy's let's be official with this whole dating thing," he smiled.

"Okay, but don't you cheat on me or make me the side chick, I don't do none of that open relationship stuff," I warned. "I won't, that's how you get AIDS/STD's," he finished drinking his wine. "Do you have it?" I cocked my eyebrow up. "Um no, I get tested after I have sex with someone. Like I got tested when I did it with my best friend Invel because he was experimenting and then after I did it with Mavis when we were in high school. Heck, I even got tested after I did it with you," he said. "I can't exactly blame you, but you make it sound like you only did it with three people," I said.

"No, I did it with at least six people then stopped," he exclaimed. "I only did it with six and your one of them," I said. "All men or both genders?" he asked. "Four men and two women," I told him. "Was I better than them?" he asked. "I don't know I haven't done it in a while," I said. "Lucy, we haven't done it in two months," he pointed out. "Yeah, I know," I sighed. "Wanna do it again?" perked up.

"You asking me?" he seemed surprised. "Yes, do you have condoms?" I asked him. "No, I have to go buy some," he said. "How do you not have condoms, you always bring them with you when we go somewhere overnight," I exaggerated. "Lucy I haven't been sexually active for months and I couldn't just let my condoms just sit there in my drawer. I might as well give them to someone who needs them," he explained. "Says the guy who specifically gave Jellal a small condom," he muttered. "Well, in my personal opinion if he didn't act like a smart ass during class and annoy me with his intelligence the whole time, then I might have softened up and given him a large," he exclaimed.

He does not like Jellal and some of the other kids at all in class. "See Levy is smart but she doesn't show out in class as Jellal does. With him asking 'Can I get the next homework assignment, I'm already done with the one you just gave us.', " he said trying to mimic Jellal's voice. "Like do you think I have that I already planned? I purposely make his homework harder than everybody else's since he is so smart. I'm afraid of the parent-teacher conference coming up at the end of the semester because I know for a fact they're going to ask me stupid questions 'Like what are your teaching styles, are you giving my son enough work, what is your IQ level?" he stated.

"Zeref just be nice when they come up to you, it's not like everybody in the classroom is that bad," I said. "I'll be the judge of that when I see them do something," he muttered. If we ever have kids, I feel like he's going to be like Zeref with no filter.
