Secrets, Lies, and Everything Else 13: "Truth or Dare!"
Me when I learn that the new episode will premiere in 3 days: :D (EDIT: Well, actually I'm posting this 2 days 'till the premiere, but I wrote this A/N yesterday)

I wish it would premiere in English if not French, because I know (like, very VERY basic) French and at least I'd understand some parts. My little cousin takes German in school though so I guess I could just ask her to translate it for me or wait for the English dub/sub. :I

(Downstairs, while Alya, Nino, Adrien, and Kagami were talking...)
Luka sat down on a chair while he waited, swinging his feet idly. Marinette was standing next to him, leaning on the wall.
"You can sit down too if you'd like." Luka gestured to a nearby chair.
"I'm good." Marinette replied. The bluenette stared at her shoes.
"Are...you worried about Adrien?" Luka asked, trying to make eye contact with her. To his surprise, it actually worked. Marinette's head shot up.
"Me? Wh- no! I don't even like him anymore!" The bluenette waved her hands in front of her. She added, "After all, he's just a friend!"
Luka set down his bag, pulling out a guitar. He played a soft lulling melody on it:
"This is what you sound like usually, Marinette." He quickened the pace of the song and changed it so that the song was in minor, and not major, thus making it have a more depressing tone.
"This is what you sound like now." His teal-blue eyes softened with worry, "You're obviously worried about something."
"What if Adrien took things the wrong way? Alya and Nino...they told him that I hated him."
"Why would they-"
"They were trying to help, but everything just seems to be spiraling out of control. They meant to bring Adrien and I closer, but we're just drifting further and further apart, to the point where I don't even know if we're still friends. Not like we were anything more to begin with." Marinette scoffed.
"Mari, you know he's not just your friend. But if you want go move on from him, that's your choice."
"There's no point in chasing a target I can't hit." Marinette mumbled.
"Like I said, it's your choice. But know that I'll support you no matter who you choose."

(Time skip to present time)
Adrien watched as Luka lead Marinette inside.
"Now that we're all here, anyone here up for a round of Truth and Dare?" Alya asked mischievously. The four friends were all sitting in a circle as Luka and Marinette sat down to join them.
"I am!" Nino was the first one to agree.
"Sure, why not." Kagami concurred.
Marinette shot Alya a skeptical look. What was she planning again?! Hadn't she learned her lesson with the whole Marinette-hates-Adrien-but-she-actually-doesn't catastrophe?! Adrien didn't say anything, even though he could tell this certainly wasn't going to end well.
"Great. We'll start off easy. Alya, truth or dare?" Nino asked.
"Uhhh...dare."
"I dare you to run around the room 8 times."
"Seriously? That's it?" Alya got up and jogged inside the room, then came back down to where she was before and sat down. "Done!"
"Nino, truth or dare?" Kagami asked.
"Uhhhh...truth?"
"Do you like strawberry flavored ice cream?"
"Yeah..."
Adrien furrowed his brow, what was up with these dumb questions?!
"Marinette, truth or dare?"
"..." Marinette stood frozen, unsure what to do. Alya was definitely planning something. She weighed her options. If she chose 'dare', it would probably have to do with Adrien. If she chose 'truth', it would be something to do with Adrien. She was sure of it! The smirk on Alya's face just got wider as she watched her.
"Girl, pick something!"
"Truth." Marinette said uneasily.
"Is your crush in this room?"
Really Alya, Really?! Marinette's eyes darted to Luka then to Adrien.
"He...yes..." Marinette really didn't know who she was referring to anymore. Would Adrien still count as her crush? Would Luka count at all? Did neither of them count? What about Chat?!
Wait, where did Chat come from?!
He's just a partner. Marinette reminded herself.
Alya smiled and clasped her hands together, "Kagami, Luka, truth or dare?"
"Dare." They replied in unison.
"I dare you to stand on the far side of the room." Alya instructed, getting up and tapping her heel on the wooden floor, "Riiiight here."
Kagami and Luka looked at each other and shrugged, then got up and stood in the designated area.
Yup, she was TOTALLY planning something.
"Okay Adrien, it's your turn! Adrien?! What are you looking at?!" Alya snapped, noticing Adrien staring dreamily at Marinette, his cheek resting against the palm of his hand.
The blonde's head shot up, "Uh- I- can someone else go?"
Alya laughed, "Sunshine boy, have you been paying attention?! Everyone went already! You're the last one."
"C-can I skip? I'll go in the next round." Adrien did his best to avert his eyes from Mari. Gosh, it would look so awkward if she caught him staring at her...or even worse, if Luka caught him staring at her...
He glanced over at his calendar. It just so happened, that today, was literally the ONLY day in the whole entire month he didn't have a photoshoot around this time, and it wasn't like he could just leave for no reason.
"Fine." Adrien growled.
Alya adjusted her glasses, "Truth or Dare?"
"Truth."
"Does your crush have blue hair?"
"Wh- that's not fair! Nino, Kagami, you, and Luka all got the easy questions!"
"Oh? So this question is hard for you? My my Adrien, it sounds like you're a little, how do I put this, embarrassed maybe?" Alya batted her eyelashes innocently.
"It's not hard! I...just..." Adrien kept his eyes on the door.
Hawk Moth, now would be a GREAT time to release an akuma and have it barge in here...
"You just...?" Alya prompted.
Adrien face-palmed, "She does."
"And is she standing here, or further away?"
Ohhhh, so THAT'S why she moved Kagami.
Adrien gritted his teeth in frustration as everyone turned to look at him. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead. He gulped, looking back at Alya.
Alya leaned back, "I can wait."
"She...she's- HEY, that's not even part of the question. You asked that after you asked if the person was in this room."
"A question can have two parts." Alya countered.
"There were two. Separate. Questions!"
"Why don't we take a vote? Who thinks it was part of the first question?" Alya raised her hand, followed by Nino, then Kagami. Luka and Marinette shared equally confused looks.
"That's 3 people; there's six here. Only half the people here agree with you." Adrien pointed out.
Luka raised his hand.
"Only 3, hm?" Alya was enjoying this way too much.
Adrien resisted the urge to bang his head on the wall. Why had he agreed to do this in the first place?! How would Marinette react if she found out?! How would Luka?! Would he get mad at him?
Duh, who wouldn't. Adrien thought, I called Marinette a 'just a friend' for a whole year, lied to her about Kagami, and, on top of all that, unintentionally made her hate me.
"Seeing as you're obviously not going to answer, let's try another question: Is Marinette just a friend?"
"No, no of course not!"
Alya brightened, "REALLY?!"
"She's just a very very VERY good friend!"
Alya seethed. Before she could say anything else, the door slammed open.
"Adrien, you have a last-minute photo-shoot you need to attend." Nathalie said hurriedly.
OHHH JOYYY!
"Yes!" Adrien pumped a fist in the air.
Alya fumed.
"Er- awww, what a shame." It was now Adrien's turn to smirk at Alya, who has tugging on her hair, appalled and infuriated that he had managed to worm his way out of the situation once again.
