More Than Just Surviving

This is my take on what happens after Mount Weather. Clarke has just saved her people from the mountain men, but is left with guilt. She leaves and on the way comes across a child. Clarke doesn't know how to be a mother or to survive, but she will figure it out as she goes. (Clexa AU) (rated M for language)

1. Preface

Preface:

Clarke never thought she would be here. In the arms of the person she loves and with their child sound asleep next to them.

She thinks back at the times up in the Ark, where Earth was just a story in the books. Something to admire from afar, but never up close. If someone told her she would be experiencing Earth in a couple of years, she would have laughed at their face and told them to go float themselves.

So much has happened since she first landed on Earth. She's not the same person anymore. After all, she was still a child then with no clue of survival. Now, she couldn't be happier with her life and who she has become.

Turning to face her lover, she places a gentle kiss on her cheek and snuggles in closer. Letting her eyes close and falling into the realm of sleep with a smile on her face.
