Clarke feels really exhausted after walking almost half the day already. "Can we please rest? I have to feed my child." The mysterious man looks over at Wanheda and the child and could tell the baby was starting to get agitated.
"Fine. We can stop, but only to feed the baby." He led them off to the side where there were a few ruins. He untied Clarke so she could feed Madi, "Make a run for it and I will make sure to kill the child first before I kill you." He let her go and sat across from her, starting a small fire. Clarke made herself busy with Madi and started feeding the child. "Where are you taking us?" The man just ignored her. "What is your name? You seem to know who I am, but I have no idea who you are. So, who are you?"
He looked at her and smiled, "My name is Roan. That's all you need to know." Clarke let it be and focused back on Madi. She wasn't sure where he was taking them, but she hoped that wherever it was it would be safe for Madi.
After Madi finished eating, Clarke cleaned her up and put her back in the strap. "Ok. I think she's good for now. Thank you for letting us stop." Roan just gave her a small nod before tying her up again and pulling her on the rope. "We should be there soon, but we have to keep the pace we are going. I need to deliver you unharmed, so stay quiet and don't try anything." Clarke just nodded and let herself be led by Roan.

Lexa sat on her throne, looking out into the distance. She was thinking about Clarke and how she betrayed her. Thinking about the war, her people wanted to start to get rid of Skikru. Thinking about how it'll never just be a moment of peace before the next threat comes.
Lexa was so out of it that she didn't hear the ambassador ask their question. It wasn't until Titus got her attention that she finally focused back on the task at hand. "I'm sorry ambassador. I was consulting something in my head and seemed to have not been listening to your question. Please, go on." The ambassador from Azgeda looked at her weird, but asked his question again, "If Roan is to deliver Wanheda, will you be killing her to gain her power?"
Lexa thought long and hard about this. She knew her people believed that in order to gain someone else's power, she had to kill them. After what happened in Mount Weather, all 12 clans had heard what Clarke had done. She has now become pretty powerful, which has made Lexa look weak. "No. I will not be killing Clarke kom Skikru. She will be of great use to me kept alive rather than dead."
Chaos broke out after her response. She held her hand up to silence everyone. The Azgeda ambassador once again spoke up, "You can't just let her live. She must die. You will be a great leader with her power after she is dead." Lexa looked at him with her commander mask that she always carried. Never giving away what her true emotions were, "Are you saying that I am not a great leader now? Because that sounds like you question my authority and my judgement. Which means that you are threatening me and the past commanders."
The ambassador shook his head and sat down. "Very well. My decision stands. Until I-" Lexa was interrupted by one of her guards rushing in. She gave him a raised eyebrow and silently told him that whatever it was better be good. He bowed to all the ambassadors and to the commander, "I'm sorry to interrupt Hera, but Prince Roan has returned with Wanheda." This made the room burst out into whispers, "let them in."

Once Roan knew they were getting close to Polis, he covered Wanheda's face. She fought back and pulled away from him, which caused him to hit her on her head with a then back of his sword, "you must let me do this if you want the child to be safe." Clarke stilled at him mentioning Madi. The chubby baby was sound asleep in the strap, oblivious to it all.
Clarke finally let him put the cover on. They continued walking for another hour or so until Roan spoke to a few people, "I come with Wanheda. Let me through." After a few short moments, she was being pulled again. Clarke was trying to get a sense of where she was, but she had no idea. She just had to follow to wherever Roan was taking her.
Roan had told her to watch her step which made her wonder what he meant. Then, it sounded like 2 doors closing and they were moving up. She realized they were on an elevator and started to worry that maybe they weren't going to be safe at all. She started to plan her next move. Thinking of how she was going to get out of this when the doors opened again.
This time someone else grabbed onto Clarke that wasn't Roan. The sound of a heavy door opening startled Clarke. "Heda. I'm here to deliver Wanheda as promised. Now lift my banishment." Someone lifted the cover from Clarke's head. It took her a few moments to adjust her eyes when she heard the voice of the person she hates.
"I told you to bring her unharmed. Take him away!" Two guards came up and grabbed Roan. "We had a deal! I did my part." "Obviously not a good one. Take him to the dungeons." The guards took Roan away while he yelled and tried to pull away from the guards.
All this commotion had woken up Madi, who started to cry. Clarke tried to calm her down but her hands were tied and she really couldn't move much. The child kept crying louder and louder, making everyone turn their heads to her.
Lexa was completely confused. What is that child doing with Clarke? How did Clarke get the child? A million questions came to mind, but the voice of Clarke snapped her out of it. "Madi it's ok. It's alright. You're ok. Don't cry. Shhh."
"Untie Wanheda so she can take care of the child." Lexa's voice was loud and clear and even though she was feeling emotions she couldn't really understand, the commander's face never let anyone see them. The guard came to untie Clarke and she immediately pulled Madi out and hugged her close. She hummed to the child and Madi immediately calmed down. She let out a big sigh. Oh what a hard life for a 4 month old.
Clarke looks up at everyone in the room staring at her. "Everyone leave us. Now." All the ambassadors and guards leave, but not Titus. "Titus. I need a moment alone with Wanheda." "But Heda.." Lexa held up her hand, "I said leave. Or I will make you go." Titus knew there was no room for argument there and left immediately.
Clarke stared at Lexa and Lexa stared at Clarke. Green eyes meet blue, no one making a move. "Why am I here?", Clarke asked with venom in her voice. "There is a bounty for your head and I didn't want you ending up in the wrong hands." Clarke looked at Madi who was admiring the new place, "Well I didn't need your help. We were perfectly fine without you."
Lexa can hear the hate in Clarke's voice. "Clarke you know I had to leave you back in Mount Weather and I will not apologize for choosing my people." Clarke grew angrier by the second, "You left me. YOU left ME. We had a war to fight. Together. But instead it was me who killed all those people. Me. I did that alone. And now I can't even look at you without hating myself. Without knowing that I killed them because of you."
At this point, Clarke was really angry and she tried calming down for Madi's sake, but it wasn't helping. Lexa just kept her commander face on, even though she was feeling hurt and to be honest upset. "You can't stand there and tell me that if the opportunity came to you, you wouldn't have taken it?"
Clarke gives her a stern look, "I would have chosen with my head and my heart. I would have taken the deal, but I would have stayed back to fight with you because I made you the promise that we would do this together."
Clarke's answer took Lexa aback. She didn't know how to respond. "Can I leave? I can't be here." "No. You have stay here. I have arranged a room for your stay. I will have someone bring you baby items to your room as I did not know you have a child."
"How long will I be here then?" Clarke turned Madi over so the baby was now staring at Lexa. Lexa was at Awh with the child. She looked nothing like Clarke. Brown crazy hair with blue green eyes. Madi smiled at Lexa and tried to reach for her, but Clarke pulled her back. "No Madi. We can't go with everyone ok?"
Madi made a small fuss but continued to smile away. Lexa was once again speechless at seeing Clarke with a child. With Madi. "Madi….what a cute name", Lexa thought.
Lexa stood up and went towards the exit, "You will be here until you are safe. Until then, you do not leave your room unless told otherwise. You will have guards assigned to you and Madi. Whatever you may need, there will be a maid assigned to you and you ask her or the guards." Lexa was getting ready to head out when Clarke's question stopped her at the door, "and what if I don't comply?"
Lexa turned around and looked Clarke up and down, "Then I will just have to kill you." Clarke's eyes went wide. To which Lexa took as her cue to leave.
