Perhaps the description wasnt clear enough but this is not a jax falling in love with an oc and hating on tara story! Its very different from just about anything ive read in the forum. I was inspired by a documentary i saw on Facebook - Tara is very much involved and a major part in this and all i have to say is read along to find out!
Chapter 4
Katherine
My body naturally woke up around 5:30 the next morning. I couldn't help but smile at the memory of last night. It was really fun to have a friend. Tara was very different from her. Where she was outgoing and bubbly Tara was more reserved and quiet. Where she was more of a follow your heart type Tara was more of a research before making your decision. The two could balance each other out nicely.
She made her way into the bathroom and stole an extra tooth brush that was under the sink. She brushed her teeth and washed her face. She used the minimal supplies and got herself ready for the day. Her hair hadn't gone to crazy in her sleep so she looked a bit more put together.
She headed into the kitchen and started a pot of coffee, she found some fruit and a blender and made some smoothie mix as well. She headed out to the back patio and left the slider door slightly open. After almost an hour she heard the first cries of Abel. She knew Tara was off today and so she decided to go get the little boy up herself.
She walked into the nursery and he smiled at her. She had him changed and dressed in a matter of a few minutes. The two of them then headed for the kitchen where he enjoyed a nice breakfast and a bottle before they headed outside.
It was mid morning when Tara made her way to the patio out of breath. Katherine turned to look at her and Tara smiled.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you T." Katherine said. She should have known better than to go outside after Tara had confided that their was a recently traumatic event regarding Abels whereabouts.
"No no no. It's okay. I'm grateful for the sleep."
Katherine smiled at her.
"Well mommy to be let's go get you breakfast." She threw her arm around Tara and the two made their way inside. Once inside the kitchen they fell back into easy conversation.
Not wanting to overstay her welcome Katherine decided to start gathering her few belongings. "Well if you're okay I think I'll head..."
"Why don't I bring you home and then we can figure out a schedule and stuff." Tara offered. Katherine could have been wrong but she got the feeling that Tara didn't want her to leave quite yet.
"Okay, sure that would be great."
Tara smiled and finished her breakfast. She headed down the hall to get dressed and so Katherine tidied up the rest of the kitchen and dining room before she returned.
"Gosh. You're going to be my life saver Kath." Tara chuckled.
They made it to her apartment in a few minutes and headed inside. Katherine knew it wasn't large but she was proud of the way her studio looked. It was very farm house style and mostly white with brown and black accents. Tara praised the space and the two sat comfortably on her small couch.
They started discussing schedules and such and by the end of the conversation Tara had asked her to start tomorrow.
"That sounds great. I'll see you in the morning then."
They said their goodbyes and Katherine closed her door. She leaned up against it and realized that she was genuinely excited about this new chapter.

TARA
It had been almost two weeks and Tara felt like a new person.
Katherine was incredible.
She came by early to get Abel, she caught up on months of laundry, cleaned the entire house and the backyard. Everyday Tara woke up to her smoothie and lunch packed, Abel would be up dressed and fed, and had always came home to a clean house after her shift.
The two women would regularly hang out when she got home and had had a few dinners and sleepovers in the short time.
It was the end of the month in 2 days and Tara had wondered if Katherine would be scared of her when she brought up the topic of her living as a live in nanny. Tara knew she'd need the help when the baby was born and really enjoyed the company.
If she were being honest she missed Jax like crazy but felt comfortable with Katherine. She had someone here for her.
She pulled into her driveway and headed for the front door. She could hear Katherine talking to Abel in the kitchen through the open window. She made her way inside and was once again happy to look around the home.
It was clean and smelt amazing, Abel and Katherine were laughing in the kitchen. Everything was going well.
"Hey can you stay for dinner? I wanted to ask you about something." Tara leaned her head into the kitchen.
"Of course I can, I'm making veggies, tofu, and rice. And I made lemon cakes for dessert." Katherine smiled.
Tara nodded and headed down to the bathroom. She didn't know how Katherine managed to get all of that done the way she did but admired her for it.
After dinner and spending time with Abel Tara decided to just rip the band aid off. "I wanted to know if you'd like to live here?" She blubbered out in one breath.
Katherine looked at her with amusement and a little shock. "What?" She asked.
"I just... well you see.. truth is I have been so happy this week and feel so good about all of this. I just figured since it's the end of the month maybe you'd want to not pay your rent and move in here instead."
"I... uh... hmmm." Katherine stopped for a moment and Tara wanted to slap herself. Just as she was about to speak Katherine spoke first.
"Okay, yeah. Let's do it." Katherine nodded her head at her.
"Really?" Tara asked.
"Yeah, I mean you're right. It's been nice and I've stayed here a few nights already. Besides... now I can be one of those stay at home wives with a doctor" Katherine dramatically winked and Tara laughed.
Tara belly laughed. "Oh my god, stop. I'm going to pee myself."
"Please don't I really don't want to clean it up." Katherine jokes back.
"Okay so, I'm off the next couple of days. I was going to ask a couple of the guys from the club to come help."
"Does that mean I'll probably be meeting The Gemma you've told me so much about."
"Ugh" Tara hadn't thought much of Gemma this passed week. "Yeah she'll probably have plenty to say about this." Tara rolled her eyes.
They had a great night and early the next morning Tara and Katherine were getting ready to head to her apartment. Tara had decided to bite the bullet and asked Gemma to spend the day with Abel.
She had just finished getting ready when she heard her voice. "Who the hell are you?"
Crap.
She found Katherine before she could introduce them.
She quickly made her way out there before Katherine got the fire from the matriarch.
