"If only you all knew the truth," Professor Snape said to the gathered students. "The truth about what," Draco asked. "Someday, someday they'll know the truth," I thought, "one day when it's safe. It's not safe for me to use my real name. No it's not because of Voldemort. All the horcruxes are destroyed and he is dead. It's not safe for me to use my real name because of Dumbledore. I am in Slytherin house against his wishes. He does not like it, but there is nothing he can do about it. I was in Gryffindor until halfway through my first year, until Hogwarts herself changed my house to Slytherin.
It was changed because of Ronald Weasley. He bullied me because of the fact that I had friends in Slytherin. He called me a house traitor among other names. He also said that if I continued hanging out with Slytherins, I myself was bound to become dark myself. There a few incidents that still stick out to me. One of them was during our very first potions class. I decided to sit next to Millicent Bulstrode because of how nice she was and didn't care I was in Gryffindor. After dismissing us to gather our ingredients for our potions and after gathering said ingredients, I turned to go sit down. While doing so, Weasley deliberately tripped me which caused me to drop my ingredients and fall to the floor. Thankfully, I didn't injure my wrists since I put them out to break my fall so I wouldn't hit my nose on the hard concrete floor. Professor Snape saw and asked who the culprit was. Draco, ever the one to put the blame on Gryffindors, said that Weasley did it. Professor Snape proceeded to take 10 points from Gryffindor for bullying a fellow housemate, give him a failing grade and detention for the day, and told me to use Weasley's potion ingredients.
Over the next few weeks, Weasley continued to bully me. Another instance was him telling his rat to use my bed as a bathroom and that's how I found my bed coming in from outside one Saturday afternoon. When I asked Hermione or Harry who did it, they weren't able to tell me. After doubling up in laughter, Weasley admitted to what he had told his rat to do. Instead of going to Professor Mcgonagall, I went to Dumbledore. I asked him if I could change to Slytherin house. He said no and that he'll talk to Weasley. He didn't and the bullying continued. My breaking point was right before the holidays when the sign up sheet to stay at Hogwarts for the Christmas Hols went up. Weasley saw me put my name down to stay because my parents and little brother was coming to London for the Hols and was going to receive me at The Leaky Cauldron. I should probably mention at this point that I'm American and my older brother who is only 2 years older than me is in Ravenclaw house. But he doesn't know what's going on because I haven't told him and doesn't see me getting bullied. As the only girl, I'm very well protected and if my brothers or parents ever found out, they'd be madder than a hornet in an old coke can.
But back to my rehashing of my first year. Weasley assumed that I was signing up to stay, not because I'm an orphan, but rather my parents didn't want me. And yes, he knew/knows I have an older brother at Hogwarts. Again, this time in tears, I went to Dumbledore. And still he refused to put me in Slytherin. But apparently, Hogwarts had other ideas. For the magic of Hogwarts changed my robes from Gryffindor ones to Slytherin ones right in front of Dumbledore. And my belongings automatically moved to the Slytherin first year girls dorm. From Dumbledore's office, I went to Professor Snape's office to tell him what had transpired just in case he had not yet been informed. By the way, did I mention my name is Antonina Grace Snape but my adopted name is Lila Elizabeth Allgood?
