Blinders Off
Chapter 6
I must of misread the signals you never sent.
Maybe i could still hold you.?
Maybe it's time to let go
But i'm too scared
How do i forget every moment
And time that we shared.?
The raindrops and wind furiously consumed the small town of Tree Hill.
Brooke woke up stunned. Her heart pounding as various images of last night replayed in her mind. She stared down at herself taking the covers off. Her head spinning. And stomach turning.
"You're awake." Lucas announced. Re entering the bedroom with a tray of breakfast in his hands.
Brooke's gaze locked on him. "I am. You stayed here all night. To take care of didn't have to do that." She replied.
"I wanted too. We agreed to keep up my end of things. By keeping you 's all this was." Lucas said.
"Thanks. You made breakfast. Hopefully enough for two.?" Brooke asked. Smiling softly.
"I did. Did you know you talk in you're sleep.?" He questioned.
Brooke's eyes went wide. "No. Oh god. What did i say.? More importantly what happened last night.? It's always a difficult day for us." She asked.
Lucas placed the tray in the middle of the bed. Taking a seat on the other side of her.
"You can sit closer to me then that. We aren't just meeting each other." Brooke stated.
Lucas nodded his head in agreement.
"You didn't say much while you were sleeping. Last we had dinner. We talked. You got drunk. I made sure you got to bed safely and kept watch through the night. Very un eventful." Lucas replied.
"That explains the head ache and my stomach being in knots. So nothing humilating took place what a relief. I tend to ramble and make no sense." Brooke said. Eating at least half her plate. Before the sickness in her stomach took over. She raced towards the bathroom and threw up.
Lucas soon joined her. Holding back her hair and rubbing her back.
Awhile Later
"Thanks for spending the night. And taking care of me last night and this morning. Our friendship means so much to me. I would be lost without it." Brooke admitted. As they made their way down the stairs.
"I'm always for you. No questions asked. I wouldn't of wanted to spend last night with anyone else. You're kicking me out aren't you.?" Lucas asked.
"No never. I'm letting you get back to you're own life. Go on. We can meet for lunch or dinner in a few days and catch up." Brooke insisted.
"I get it. You need you're space." Lucas replied.
"Exactly." Brooke stated.
Lucas unlocked and opened the front door. Leaving the home.
Brooke closed and locked the door after him.
Swallowing hard. Feeling her heart sink. As she wrapped her arms around herself.
Her memory clear. Remembering exactly what he said to her last night and what she replied.
"I'll always love you Lucas." Brooke said to no one. As she made her out the door. A few minutes later.
