Blinders Off
Chapter 17
Tree Hill Private Hospital
At the sight of Brooke and Lucas Sam breathed a sigh of relief.
"Where are Jack and Xzavier.?" Lucas asked.
"I don't know they left me. After forcing me to swallow those pills that started my labor." Sam replied.
"More importantly are you okay.? What's going on now.?" Brooke asked.
"I'm scared. I have to go into the delievery room. It's not time yet. It's too early. I don't want to do." Sam revealed. The emotion in her voice thick.
"I am going to try and talk to the doctor. Luke you stay here with Sam and make sure she isn't taken anywhere." Brooke stated.
"We're staying right here." Lucas replied. Taking ahold of Sam's hand in his.

Brooke bursted through the delivery room doors. And locked her gaze on a group of doctors.
"Sam doesn't want to do this. She isn't ready to give birth yet. It's too early. She's only 30 weeks." Brooke revealed.
"Normally we would give her drugs to slow down and stop the labor but since she already has drugs in system we don't want to mix. Since we don't know what her reaction will be." One of the doctors said.
"Given the fact that she's this far along. With twins. The babies survival rate is 90 percent. That is a strong positive chance that everything will work out okay. We will do all we can to make sure Sam and the babies make it through this." The female doctor assured her.
"Thank you." Brooke said. As she exited the room.
"I'm so sorry. The only job i had was to protect the babies and i couldn't even do that. I'm sure you and Brooke regret trusting me to do this." Sam admitted.
"This happened to you. You were targeted because of you're connection to Xzavier. Brooke and I don't blame you at all. You accomplished protecting them and yourself. We are so proud and thankful for you." Lucas replied.
"Let's get in there. We're going to get through this together."
"Lucas and I will be here for you every step of the way." Brooke reassured her.
"Okay." Sam said. As she was wheeled into the delivery room.

Holding on to both Lucas and Brooke's hands. Sam endured labor without any medication for pain relief. The doctors wanted to be cautious and allow the drugs already in her system to run it's course.
Sam was covered in sweat. Her hair was put up in a messy bun and she was changed into a hospital gown.
While Brooke and Lucas wore hospital scrubs.
Sam laid back on the hospital bed. Trying to control her breathing and pace herself. As the contractions came over her in waves.
"You're doing amazing Sam. A few more pushes and the babies will be here." The doctor proclaimed.
Sam shook her head. Bared down hard. And pushed with every ounce of strength she had left.
The sound of crying soon filled the room.
"Happy birthday! Baby 1 and 2." The doctor exclaimed.
"I want hold my sons!" Sam called out.
Lucas and Brooke felt their hearts sink.
