Blinders Off
Chapter 24
"We need to get back in there! Luke she needs us! To know we're there. That she isn't alone." Brooke exclaimed. Her voice breaking with emotion.
Lucas pulled her into his arms in a hug.
Brooke resisted the comfort as she fell into his arms.
She buried her face in his chest.
He held securely in his arms.
As the flashes of cameras and loud voices pulled them apart.
The two turned towards the entrance doors. Realizing very soon that paparazzi had found it's way into their private personal life.
"Let me handle this." Lucas announced. As he headed towards the entrance doors.
"Get out of here you scavengers! There is no story to report on!"
Lucas yelled. Waving the camera and flashing lights away.
"Which one of the Daniels brothers did it.?"
"Xzavier is nowhere to be found. So that must mean Jack did it!" Another reporter shouted.
"Or was it an inside job.? Dan Scott is you're father. It's not like he hasn't killed before!" One of the reporters exclaimed.
Lucas felt something inside him snap as he pushed the reporter that made that comment.
"All of you need to figure out what you're supposed to do in life because chasing after a family in a personal crisis is wrong!"
"I shouldn't have to tell you that!" Lucas yelled.
"I'm sure you regret it right Lucas choosing Brooke instead of Peyton at least with her you could of had a real family!" One of reporters added.
Lucas felt his anger and rage overboil. As he grabbed ahold of the man's camera and slammed it to the ground.
"Let's get back inside. We have better use for oour time then engaging with these people." Brooke stated. Putting her hand on Lucas's shoulder.
Lucas took a deep breath and avoid the reporters and snapping of cameras. Once they were back inside.
"You destroyed that guy's camera. I'm sure the news outlets will make a huge deal about it. What did he say that got you so upset.?" Brooke asked.
When they sat beside each other in the waiting room.
"Nothing that needs to be repeated." Lucas replied.
He remembered very clearly the emotional and mental toll. It took on Brooke when gossip and bloggers gained access to the information about her infertility.
A doctor in a white lab coat made his way over to them.
"Sam suffered a seizure. After examing her we soon realized there was more damage inside of her that has been going untreated. She suffered a head trauma. In the fit of rage the person who attacked her experienced. She was hit with a hard object." The doctor informed them.
"How is she doing now.?" Lucas asked.
"When can we see her.?" Brooke questioned.
"I'm sorry. At this point. I don't see Sam recovering or waking up from being in the state she is now. " The doctor revealed.

Jack stormed out of the hospital doors and got back into the car he drove. Xzavier finally revealed his location.
Jack felt nothing but anger and rage. His brother needed to pay for this. He decided.

Xzavier lingered in the dark alley way.
a satisfied grin on his face.
"Have you come to beg for my forgiveness.?" The man questioned.
"You wanted Sam to pay and now she is. I just heard that doctor say she isn't waking up! You've pushed me too far!" Jack exclaimed.
"Now little brother. None of this concerns you. Sam made her choice. And i made mine. You aren't going to tell anyone anything!" Xzavier yelled.
