Amber: Hello! You might know me from Platinum of Athena's Bringing back Lightning. I decided to write my own thing, on one of my flashbacks and what came from it. Hope you like it! (Here's to hoping I'm not copying anyone.)

Platinum

As Platinum got to know Amber, there were two things she noticed: how Amber seemed to slip into Japanese when tired or angry, and how she seemed to stutter when nervous, frustrated, or scared. The Japanese, she understood. After all, Amber did seem Asian. The stutter was a mystery. Platinum figured it was a traumatic experience, carrying through from her dip in the Lethe. Yet she couldn't help asking, even though she knew Amber couldn't possibly answer.

"Why do you stutter?"

Amber doubled over, clutching her head.

Platinum worriedly tried to help, completely forgetting about her question.

Amber

Amber couldn't see anything, couldn't hear anything, could only feel pain. It went on for so long, even that was fading. And then, in the darkness, images showed up.

A brown-haired girl with a smiling mouth full of braces.

A yellow, one-eyed triangle, offering a hand to shake.

A boy's voice, urgently whispering, "Trust no one."

A sea of red pointed hats.

An evil, manipulative voice, saying "Sunshine, all I need is a puppet."

A blonde girl, looking worriedly at her

Two eyes, one her own, the other yellow and slit.

Her own voice, quietly stuttering, "I'll s-show y-you what I'm m-m-made of, B-bill."

An unearthly scream, loud enough to make your ears bleed, louder than one would have thought possible.

And then it was quiet. Amber slowly opened her eyes. Platinum was shaking her gently.

"Thank the Fates you're okay. Are you hurt? Do you need Ambrosia? Can I help you?"

Amber smiled. "Daijyoubu dato omou."

Platinum smiled, having learned many languages already. "C'mon, let's get you to bed."

Emerald

Emerald was studying some of the more modern things that had come up recently, at the same time learning how to use a computer. These things were tough! Suddenly, there was a knock on her door. Emerald sighed and opened the door. There stood Amber, shyly looking down at her toes. "What?" asked Emerald, not unkindly. Amber cleared her throat.

"What do you know on Gravity Falls?"

Amber: So, what do you think? Please, please, pretty please with 247 cherries on top, review? Thank you!
